A Novel OLED Inspection Process Method with Simultaneous Measurement for Standard and Deposition Pattern (기준패턴과 증착패턴의 동시 측정을 통한 OLED 공정 검사 방법)

  • The subject of the simultaneous measuring system of base pattern and deposition pattern is a new research topic on a defect inspection of OLED. In this paper, we propose a new OLED inspection method that simultaneously measures standard and deposition pattern images. This method reduces unnecessary processes and tac time during OLED inspection. For an additional reduction of the tac time during pattern measurement, the ROI was configured to measure only in the designated ROI area instead of measuring the entire area of an image. During the ROI set-up, the value of effective deposition pattern area is included so that if the deposition pattern is out of the ROI zone, it would be treated as a defect before measuring the size and center point of the pattern. As a result, the tac time and inspection process could be shortened. The proposed method also could be applied to the OLED manufacturing process. Production of OLED could be increased by reducing tac time and inspection process.

  • 우리나라는 2000년에 제조물책임법이 제정하여 2002년 7월 1일부터 시행하였으며, 제조물의 제조, 설계, 표시등의 결함으로 인하여 발생한 손해에 대한 제조업자 등의 손해 배상책임을 규정하고 소비자의 결함 입증부담 경감과 피해자의 보호를 도모하자 하고 있다. 제조물의 표시등의 결함은 지시결함이나 경고결함에 관한 것으로 제조자는 그 위험에 의한 사고를 방지 회피할 수 있도록 소비자에게 정보를 제공하여야 하나 이를 이행하지 않아 발생된 결함이다. 본 논문에서는 A사(社)의 공기정화기 B모델 사용설명서에 나타난 정보제공사항을 주의 경고표시 가이드 등에 따라 검토하였으며, 그 결과 일부 지시 및 경고사항에서 보완해야할 사항이 발견하였다. 보완사항은 제안사항으로 기업내부 에서 처리하되 전문성이 부족한 분야는 외부의 PL전문가의 협력하에 바람직한 개선안이 도출될 수 있을 것이다.

Study on Machine Vision Algorithms for LCD Defects Detection (LCD 결함 검출을 위한 머신 비전 알고리즘 연구)

  • This paper proposes computer visual inspection algorithms for various LCD defects which are found in a manufacturing process. Modular vision processing steps are required in order to detect different types of LCD defects. Those key modules include RGB filtering for pixel defects, gray-scale morphological processing and Hough transform for line defects, and adaptive threshold for spot defects. The proposed algorithms can give users detailed information on the type of defects in the LCD panel, the size of defect, and its location. The machine vision inspection system is implemented using C language in an embedded Linux system for a high-speed real-time image processing. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithms are quite successful.

Detection of the Defected Regions in Manufacturing Process Data using DBSCAN (DBSCAN 기반의 제조 공정 데이터 불량 위치의 검출)

  • Recently, there is an increasing interest in analysis of big data that is coming from manufacturing industry. In this paper, we use PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing data to provide manufacturers with information on areas with high PCB defect rates, and to visualize them to facilitate production and quality control. We use the K-means and DBSCAN clustering algorithms to derive the high fraction of PCB defects, and compare which of the two algorithms provides more accurate results. Finally, we develop a system of MVC structure to visualize the information about bad clusters obtained through clustering, and visualize the defected areas on actual PCB images.

  • Lithium Niobate (LN:LiNbO3) is a compound of niobium, lithium and oxygen. The characteristics of LN are piezoelectricity, ferroelectricity and photoelectricity, and which is widely used in surface acoustic wave (SAW). To manufacture LN device, the LN surface should be a smooth surface and defect-free because of optical property, but the LN material is processed difficult by traditional processes such as grinding and mechanical polishing (MP) because of its brittleness. To decrease defects, chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) was applied to the LN wafer. In this study, the suitable parameters scuh as pressure and relative velocity, were investigated for the LN CMP process. To improve roughness, the LN CMP was performed using the parameters that were the highest removal rate among process parameters. And, evaluation of optical property was performed by the optical reflectance and non-linear characteristic.

Defect Genesis and Fatigue Failure Behaviour of Bearing Metal in Manufacturing Processes (제조 공정에 따른 베어링메탈의 결함발생 및 피로파괴거동)

  • A study has been made on defects which are formed in manufacturing processes of engine bearing and also on fatigue crack growth behavior in each step of bearing metal manufacturing. After the first step (sinter brass powder on steel plate ; Series A) many voids are made on brass surface and its size is decreased at the second step (rolling process of sintered plate ; Series B). After the third step (re-sintering step of brass powder and rolling ; Series C) the number of voids is decreased and its type shows line. The time of fatigue crack initiation and the growth rate of fatigue crack are in order of Series A, Series B, Series C. These reasons are that void fosters the crack initiation and growth, and residual stress made by rolling process affects on the crack growth rate in Series B, C. In forming and machining processes by use of final bearing metal, crack was observed at internal corner of flange and peeling off was observed at interface between steel and brass. Owing to the above crack and peeling off, it is considered that there is a possibility of fatigue fracture during the application time.

  • This study suggests a model of production information system that can reduce manufacturing lead time and uniformize quality by using DNC S/W as a part of constructing production information management system in the industrial field of the existing marine engine block manufacturing companies. Under the effect of development of this system, the NC machine interface device can be installed in the control computer to obtain the quality information of the workpiece in real time so that the time to inspect the process quality and verify the product defect information can be reduced by more than 70%. In addition, the reliability of quality information has been improved and the external credibility has been improved. It took 30 minutes for operator to obtain, analyze and manage the quality information when the existing USB memory is used, but the communication between the NC controller computer and the NC controller in real time was completed to analyze the workpiece within 10 seconds.

  • Through the smart factory construction project, sensor data such as power, vibration, pressure, and temperature are collected from production facilities, and services such as predictive maintenance, defect prediction, and abnormality detection are developed through data analysis. In general, in the case of manufacturing data, because the imbalance between normal and abnormal data is extreme, an anomaly detection service is preferred. In this paper, FFT method is used to extract feature data of manufacturing data as a pre-stage of the anomaly detection service development. Using this method, we classified the produced products and confirmed results. In other words, after FFT of the representative pattern for each product, we verified whether product classification was possible or not, by calculating correlation coefficient.

Application and Comparison of Data Mining Technique to Prevent Metal-Bush Omission (메탈부쉬 누락예방을 위한 데이터마이닝 기법의 적용 및 비교)

  • The metal bush assembling process is a process of inserting and compressing a metal bush that serves to reduce the occurrence of noise and stable compression in the rotating section. In the metal bush assembly process, the head diameter defect and placement defect of the metal bush occur due to metal bush omission, non-pressing, and poor press-fitting. Among these causes of defects, it is intended to prevent defects due to omission of the metal bush by using signals from sensors attached to the facility. In particular, a metal bush omission is predicted through various data mining techniques using left load cell value, right load cell value, current, and voltage as independent variables. In the case of metal bush omission defect, it is difficult to get defect data, resulting in data imbalance. Data imbalance refers to a case where there is a large difference in the number of data belonging to each class, which can be a problem when performing classification prediction. In order to solve the problem caused by data imbalance, oversampling and composite sampling techniques were applied in this study. In addition, simulated annealing was applied for optimization of parameters related to sampling and hyper-parameters of data mining techniques used for bush omission prediction. In this study, the metal bush omission was predicted using the actual data of M manufacturing company, and the classification performance was examined. All applied techniques showed excellent results, and in particular, the proposed methods, the method of mixing Random Forest and SA, and the method of mixing MLP and SA, showed better results.

A Study on the case of PL prevention strategies and prevention systems in the domestic S-company (S사의 PL대응전략 및 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The PL(Product Liability) Law has been going into effect in Korea since July 2002. Accordingly, a company's responsibility for customers who are damaged by the defect in the product safety has been gradually strict and imposed burden on management. This paper gives suggestions as to PL prevention of manufacturing companies through the case research of PL prevention strategies and the prevention systems of the domestic S-company.
