The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between Healthy Family Support Center (HFSC) program participation and family strengths and program needs based on HFSC participants' individual, family, and community characteristics. A total of 695 HFSC participants who were married and had participated in HFSC programs were recruited through 25 local HFSCs in Seoul. A multiple regression method was conducted for data analysis. The major findings are as follows. Family strengths was related to the variables of age, education, monthly household income, and participation in family counseling and sharing family care programs. In terms of program needs, the variables of marital conflict, difficulty in care, financial distress, family strengths, and family-friendly community were associated with HFSC program needs while participants' socio-demographic characteristics were not related to program needs. This study highlights that HFSC programs have different target populations considering that the level of family strengths was different among the various programs' participants. In addition, program needs are different depending upon the HFSC participants' experiences in the family and community. These findings suggest that it is important to consider participants' family and community characteristics as well as participants' socio-demographic characteristics to provide appropriate programs for all HFSC participants.

With a severe restructuring and a high competition in the bank industry, the emphasis of business is increasingly put on profitability. Especially for retail banks, the classification and management of customers based on profitability becomes important issues. However, the cost required in maintaining relevant systems is so high also with one spent in acquiring data for customers as a whole. In fact, most benefit of a certain bank is gathered from a few loyal customers. Accordingly, most of banks are vigorously trying to measure ROI of the few royal customers and striving to raise earnings from them. This is also true to domestic retail banks which are recognizing the need of loyalty program and operating diverse programs. This report is executed to help design and manage effective loyalty programs. We conducted interviews on the persons in charge of royalty programs of 9 major domestic retail banks and made a survey on 5 banks among them. Based on data from these researches, we reviewed on royalty programs of Korean domestic banks and propose improvement measures to facilitate royalty program.

We are in the process of developing information systems that can be helpful for the effective management of community health services provided by the health center and subcenters in Hwachon Gun, Kangwon Do. In doing so, we have employed a different program design from those programs of information systems developed in other health centers or subcenters. The main idea of our design is dividing all the programs into two parts. One part is for the control of operation functions such as addding, seeking, editing, and printing needed to all the tasks. The other consists of a set of programs each of which deals with a specific task. It is believed that this program design would result in an information system that is simple to use, easy to modify and expand, and flexible to new computer technologies.
As the networks (i.e., intranet and internet) proliferate all over the world, it is inevitable to move some (or all) of the enterprise activities into virtual spaces. Differently from business data, product data have complex semantics and thus are not properly exchanged among different application programs. Even though some neutral formats of product data have been developed by standard organizations, translating them among various application programs still needs the comprehensive understanding of the complex semantics. Recently, it is widely recognized that capturing more knowledge is the next step In overcome the current difficulties on sharing product data. In this paper, we present Web-based knowledge management that facilitates seamless sharing of product data among various application programs in virtual enterprises. Three types of knowledge are managed by the knowledge management system - metadata, ontology, and mapping. In this environment, we consider both business applications (e.g., ERP, SCM, and EDI System) and engineering applications (e.g., CAD and CAM system).
