결혼 이주여성의 월경 지식, 월경 태도 및 피임 지식 (The Knowledge of Menstruation, Attitude for Menstruation, and Knowledge of Contraception for Immigrant Women in International Marriages)

  • 본 연구는 결혼 이주여성의 생식건강 측면에 중요한 영향을 미치는 월경지식, 월경태도 및 피임지식 정도를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 전라남도에 거주하는 결혼 이주여성 120명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지로 개별 면접을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 대상자의 평균 나이는 27.8세, 배우자는 41.4세이며, 필리핀 국적이 가장 많았으며, 현재 생활에서 의사소통 문제의 어려움을 가장 많이 호소하였다. 여성생식건강과 관련된 월경지식은 7점 만점에 4.0점, 월경태도는 25점 만점에 18.5점, 그리고 피임지식은 10점 만점에 4.5점의 평균점수를 나타냈다. 월경지식은 국적, 현재 가장 어려운 점, 현재 생활의 만족도, 지각된 건강상태, 월경주기, 원하는 아이 수, 피임정보원 여부, 출산력에 따라 통계적인 유의한 차이가 있었고, 월경태도는 연령, 국적, 지각된 건강상태, 원하는 아이 수와 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 피임지식은 교육정도, 국적, 월경통 여부와 통계적 유의한 차이가 있었다. 변수들 간의 관계에서는 월경태도가 긍정적일수록 피임지식이 낮은 것으로 나왔다. 따라서 결혼 이주여성의 산과적 건강 측면을 고려한 다차원 건강교육 프로그램을 개발하여 결혼 이주여성의 건강을 향상시키고 바람직한 가족계획을 할 수 있도록 중재가 필요하다.

서울 일부 지역 여고생의 체중조절 및 이와 관련된 요인 (A Study of Weight Control and Associated Factors among High School Female Students)

  • The study purpose was to examine weight control status and related factors among 370 high school girls in Seoul. Factors examined included interest toward weight control, body satisfaction, body image, beliefs regarding weight control and self-efficacy. $65.1\%$ had attempted to control weight and were categorized into attempt group. Those in the attempt group had higher body weight (p < 0.001) and BMI (p < 0.001) than the counterparts. They tried to control weight 2.9 times on average (22.4 days each time). The major information sources for weight control were internet ($62.8\%$), and TV/radio ($17.1\%$). Exercise was most commonly used for weight control, followed by reducing meal amount and skipping dinner. The attempt group was less satisfied with body size (p < 0.001) and perceived their body size as heavier than the counterparts (p < 0.001), but they showed more interest toward weight control (p < 0.001). The ideal body size of society or the body size that they want was very thin in both groups. Twelve out of 20 beliefs regarding weight control were significantly different between the two groups. The attempt group believed more strongly on the advantages such as increased self-confidence, appearance, attractiveness (p < 0.001) and 'good for making friends' (p < 0.01) In contrast, the attempt group believed less strongly about the disadvantages including harmful effects on health (p < 0.001), parents' dislike, feelings of discouragement (p < 0.01) and becoming (p < 0.05). The attempt group showed lower overall self-efficacy to control overeating (p < 0.05) than the counterparts. Especially, the attempt group felt less control of overeating in situations such as eating-out, after school, when they are with family (p < 0.01) or with friends, when they feel hungry, during examination periods and when others offer food (p < 0.05). This study suggested that weight management education for adolescents include strategies for changing body image and beliefs regarding weight control, as well as increasing self-efficacy to control overeating. 양호겸직교사 연수과정에 관한 연구 -경상남도를 중심으로- (A Study on the Training Course for Teachers Holding Additional Job of School Health Nursing in Kyeong Nam Province)

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide the basic information concerning school health nursing activities in schools lacking in a school nurse, and the degree of satisfaction of trainess to the training course of school health nursing. The data for this study were collected by means of questionnaire from 150 teachers(100 of primary school and 50 of middle school)who attended the training course superintended by the Board of Education of Kyeong Nam Province from July 27 to August 6 in 1987. The main results of this study can be summarized as following; 1. General characteristics of the trainees: The majority of the trainees (71.3%) were in the age of twenties, 86.5% graduated from four-year teachers' college, 63.5% had less than five-year experience as a teacher. 2. 60.5% of the trainees were actually offering school health nursing services. 67.8% decided voluntarily to participate in the training course, and 62.7% attended the course for the purpose of obtaining health knowledge. 3. Only 4.2% of schools established appropriate health organization, and 34.5% were equipped with nursing clinic. But the main reason school health nursing activities were not performed very well was the insufficient supply of needed medicines and related materials. 4. School health nursing services in schools lacking in a school nurse were offered mainly by the teacher holding additional job of school health. class teacher and atheletic teacher. But the sanitary management for school meal services and community health activities were not carried out at all in many schools. 5. As a whole, trainees were satisfied with training program. But some subjects of the course did not satisfy them because those ones were so theoretical without any practice. 6. Many trainees wished the training course to be more concentrated on case studies which are helpful to solve actual problems. 7. 75% of trainees answered to have decided to perform school health nursing activities more actively than before. 8. Any significant relationship can not be found between trainees' general characteristics and their attitude to school health nursing activities after the training course. Only one factor-motivation to attend the training course-had the statistical significance of 8.7%.

Perception of Patients with Cancer towards Support Management Services and Use of Complementary Alternative Medicine - a Single Institution Hospital-Based Study in Saudi Arabia

  • Background: To evaluate the perception of cancer patients toward treatment services and influencing factors and to inquire about the use of complementary alternative medicine (CAM). Materials and Methods: Information was obtained through pre-tested structured questionnaires completed by cancer patients during treatment at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Results: Of 242 patients, 137 (64.6%) accepted to enter this study. Most were Saudi (n=93, 68%), female (n=80, 58%), educated at university (n=71, 52%), married (n=97, 72%) and with breast cancer (n=36, 26%). One-hundred (73%) patients were satisfied with the services provided; 61% were Saudi. Ninety-four (68%) respondents were satisfied with the explanation of their cancer. Twenty-eight (21.6%) patients received CAM, of them 54.0% received herbal followed by rakia (21.0%), nutritional supplements/vitamins (7.0%) and Zamam water (18.0%), with significant differences among them (p =0.004). Seven (5%) patients believed this therapy could be used alone; 34 (25%) patients believed it could be used with other treatments, regardless of whether they themselves used this therapy. Fifty-three (53%) satisfied patients felt they received enough support; 31 (58%) patients received support from family and friends; 22 (41.6%) patients received support from the health-care team. Patients who received information about their disease from their physicians and those who felt they had enough support were more satisfied. The patients who took alternative treatment were older age, mostly female and highly educated but values did not reach significance. Conclusions: We stress enhancing the educational and supportive aspects of cancer-patient services to improve their treatment satisfaction and emphasize the need for increasing the educational and awareness programs offered to these patients.

Evaluation of the National Train-the-Trainer Program for Hospice and Palliative Care in Korea

  • Background: To evaluate the effectiveness of the National Train-the-Trainers Program for Hospice and Palliative Care Experts (TTHPC) sponsored by the National Cancer Center of Korea between 2009 and 2012. This program was developed to improve the teaching skills of those in the field of hospice and palliative care (HPC). Materials and Methods: Training was offered in eight 1-day sessions between 2009 and 2012. The effect of the program was measured using Kirkpatrick's model of educational outcomes. First, levels 1 and 2 were evaluated immediately after the 1-day program (n=120). In 2012, the level-3 evaluation test was administered to trainers who offered at least one HPC training (n=78) as well as to their trainees (n=537). Results: The level-1 evaluation addressed participant reactions to and satisfaction with the program. Participants (n=120) were generally satisfied with the content, the method, and the overall course (mean range: 3.94-4.46 on a five-point Likert scale). The level-2 evaluation (learning) showed that participants gained knowledge and confidence related to teaching HPC (4.24 vs. 4.00). The level-3 evaluation (behavioral), which assessed trainers' application of teaching skills to HPC, showed that trainees rated the teaching methods of trainers (mean range: 4.03-4.08) more positively than did trainers (p<0.05). Female trainers were more likely than were male trainers to plan sessions in consideration of their trainees' characteristics (4.11 vs. 3.58; p<0.05), and nurse trainers were more likely than physician trainers to use a variety of instructional methods (4.05 vs. 3.36; p<0.05) Conclusions: We conducted systematic evaluations based on Kirkpatrick's model to assess the effectiveness of our train-the-trainers program. Our educational program was practical, effective, and followed by our HPC experts, who needed guidance to learn and improve their clinical teaching skills.

치과병의원에서 요구하는 치위생과 졸업생들의 직업능력에 관한 연구 (The study about occupational ability of dental hygiene department students required of the dental clinics)

  • Objectives : This study is aimed to help the dental hygiene department students to improve their adaptive ability to the field work by letting them know the performing levels required of the job world, by renovating the knowledge-centered curriculum, and by finding out the core competencies needed for successfully performing their duties and tasks in the work field. Methods : The survey tool was recomposed through the examination of the preceeding studies on basic vocational competencies and skills, and the survey has been done to 200 dentists in Seoul and Gyunggi provice. Results : 1. As for the job-getting routs, 35.1% of them finds their jobs through the job portal sites, and 21.3% through the recommendation by professors. So we can see the meaningful difference in the employment ways. 2. Dental hygiene clinics think that the purpose of their cooperation with the colleges is mainly to secure human resources by requiring the colleges to give field-centered education the colleges through. 3. The clinics for dental hygienic students' field learning have a great power for hiring the students. So it is necessary to set up a good management system of the clinics for dental hygienic students' field learning in order to reinforce the students' competitive power in getting jobs. 4. The priorities in basic working abilities needed for the task performance are in the order of vocational responsibility, self-managing & developing ability, interpersonal skill, and problem solving ability. 5. The core competencies required of those who graduate from dental hygiene school show the following scores by Likert measurement; good personality and vocational consciousness 2.16(${\pm}.677$), understanding power of major-related knowledge 2.19(${\pm}.723$), field adapting ability 2.31(${\pm}.748$), get-along-with ability 2.32(${\pm}.799$), interpersonal skill 2.42(${\pm}.768$), and self-development ability such as getting certificates 2.43(${\pm}.729$). Among the core competencies, the only meaningful factor which influences on their satisfaction measurement has been identified as the professional ability related to the major. Conclusions : The results suggest that the knowledge and skill related to the major are core competencies of able human resources and closely related with the professionality of the job, and so they are very important. However, job basic abilities are also proved to be important, which reinforce the students' activeness, self-regulation, and creativeness, and help them to pursue their lasting growth in their abilities.

경비업무에 대한 경비요원 인식 조사 (Survey of Perception about Security Works)

  • 이 연구는 경비업무에 대한 경비요원의 인식을 빌딩내 근무하는 사원을 중심으로 실증 분석해보고 경비요원에게 업무성과의 향상을 위한 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 경비요원의 활동에 대해 논의하였다. 둘째, 경비요원의 필요성에 대한 직장인들의 인식, 경비요원의 불필요성, 업무인식 향상을 위한 경비요원의 요건 대한 인식으로 연구틀을 설정하였다. 현재 생활의 경비업무 인식의 변화는 멈추지 않는 경제 발전과 다양해지는 직종에 비해 다소 뒤떨어지는 면이 있다. 지금에도 경비업무의 표현을 아직도 예전 시설물이나 아파트 등의 관리인이라는 인식을 가지고 있다. 다시 말해 아파트 수위라는 직종에서 경비로의 명칭 전환만이 이루어지는 정도로만 인식 한다고 할 수 있다. 지금의 직업군에서 경비업무는 시설관리, 다양한 통제 등 경호. 경비의 일환으로서 전문영역으로 자리 잡고 있으며 영역 확장이 되고 있다. 단순 붙박이 형식을 취하는 근무 형태가 아닌 사회에서 발생하는 여러 범죄행위의 분석과 예방을 목적으로 하고 다양하게 발생될 사고에 미연 방지하는 역할을 가지고 대안을 이끌어 내는 전문직이다. 경비업무에 대한 필요성을 극대화하기 위한 목적으로서 경비업무의 영역은 전문적인 경비요원의 배치, 경비요원의 업무 만족도의 배려, 급속도로 변하는 안전사고에 대한 예방 교육, 현장의 충실도를 갖추어야한다. 끊임없는 노력과 경비요원 스스로의 전문성 인식 고취로서 한층 세련된 경비업무 영역을 갖기를 기대한다.

일부 여대생의 취업스트레스, 무망감 및 우울이 출산인식에 미치는 융복합적 영향 분석 (Analysis of Convergent Influence of Job Seeking Stress, Hopelessness and Depression on Childbirth Perception among Some College Women)

  • 본 연구는 일부 여대생의 취업스트레스, 무망감 및 우울과 출산인식 간의 관련성을 파악하고 출산인식에 미치는 융복합적 영향을 분석하였다. 조사대상은 전북지역의 3개 대학에서 임의로 선정된 531명으로 하였으며, 자료수집은 2016년 3월 28일부터 4월 29일까지 자기기입식 설문지를 통해 이루어졌다. 일반적특성에 따른 출산인식 점수는 연령이 높은군에서, 종교가 있는군에서, 학교생활만족도가 높은군에서, 비음주군에서 유의하게 높았다. 취업스트레스가 높은군에서, 무망감은 중증도와 중도군에서, 우울은 경도군에서 출산인식 점수가 높았다. 출산인식은 취업스트레스, 무망감 및 우울과 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 공분산 구조분석 결과, 취업스트레스, 무망감 및 우울과 출산인식의 인과관계가 확인되었다. 취업스트레스는 무망감 및 우울보다는 출산인식에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여대생의 출산인식에 대한 긍정적 인식을 높이는 보건교육에 활용이 기대된다. 향후 연구에서는 출산인식에 융복합적인 영향을 미치는 추가적인 요인에 대한 분석이 필요하다.

한국 청소년의 정신건강이 비만에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Mental Health on Obesity among Korean Adolescents)

  • 본 연구는 한국청소년의 정신건강이 비만에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하는데 있다. 연구 자료는 2013년 6월 1일부터 6월 30일까지, 12세에서 18세까지의 70,354명 청소년(남학생 35,575명, 여학생 34,779명)을 대상으로 한 2013청소년건강행태온라인조사 자료를 이용하였다. 변수는 연령, 가정의 경제상태, 학업성적, 건강상태, 행복감, 스트레스, 수면충족, 우울감, 자살생각을 사용하였고, 자료는 t-test, chi square test와 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 한국 청소년 남학생과 여학생 모두의 비만에 영향을 미치는 일반적 특성 변수는 연령(p<0.001), 가정의 경제상태(p<0.001), 학업성적(p<0.001), 건강상태(p<0.001)였으며, 비만에 영향을 미치는 정신건강변수는 여학생의 자살생각(p<0.05)이었다. 청소년 비만 프로그램 운영 시 여학생의 자살생각 경험은 비만 가능성을 예측하는 정보로 이용되어질 수 있을 것이며, 연령에 맞는 비만 교육과 성별 및 경제 상태를 고려한 비만 지도가 포함되어야 할 것이다.

연령대별 성인의 정신건강이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 -제5기(2010)국민건강영양조사를 중심으로 (The Effect of Korean Adult's Mental Health On QOL(Quality Of Life) -The Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2010)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 성인의 정신건강이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 '2010년 국민건강영양조사' 자료를 이용하여 20대~50대 성인 4,211명을 대상으로 하였다. SPSS WIN 18.0을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, t-test, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인 남녀 수면시간과 삶의 질의 관계에서는 20 30대에서 여자가 남자보다 조금 더 수면을 취하는 것으로 나타났고, 40 50대에서는 수면시간의 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 성인 남녀 주관적 건강상태와 평소 스트레스 인지정도에서는 주관적 건강상태에서는 남자가 여자보다 성인초기와 중기에서 모두 높은 것으로 나타났고, 평소 스트레스 인지정도에서는 20 30대에서만 여자가 남자보다 조금 더 스트레스를 인지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 40 50대에서는 성별에 따른 통계적 차이는 없었으나 대체적으로 약간의 스트레스를 느끼고 있었다. 셋째, 성인의 정신건강변인과 삶의 질에서는 주관적 건강상태와 평소 스트레스 인지정도만이 삶의 질에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인임이 확인되었다. 이를 종합해보면, 우리나라 20대~50대 성인은 자신의 건강상태를 긍정적으로 인식하고 평소 스트레스를 적게 받을수록 삶의 질이 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 건강관련과 스트레스 관리를 위한 교육적 개입과 실천 가능한 프로그램 활성화가 요구된다.
