The purposes of this study were to segment male and female college students on the basis of sneakers' benefits and purchasing behaviors of each market segment. The research method was conducting a survey of 408 male and female college students in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gwangju and Jeollanam-do province. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's α, factor analysis, cluster analysis, χ2 test, ANOVA, and Duncan test. The results were as follows. First, they were segmented into 4 consumer types(positive benefits, economy/ personality, fashion/famous brand pursuit, and an unconcerned group) by the benefit of sneakers. Second, the evaluation criteria of the products were significantly different depending on each sub-group in terms of the type and quality of material, weight, colors, design, brand, elegance, fashion trend, and coordination. In the case of purchasing information, the sources of sneakers showed significant differences according to the sub-group in all factors except for the past shopping experience. All types of stores and styles were significantly different depending on the sub-group. Therefore, the results of this study supported that benefit segmentation in sneakers can be useful as an effective variable for evaluating market segmentation.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the image perception of modern fashion according to erotic expressions ans erotic levels. The research methods werea quasi-experimental research. The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and a responsse scale. The stimuli was consisted of 15 photographs according to erotic expressions and erotic levels. The reponse scale consisted of semantic differential scales. The subjects consisted of 254 male and 260 female undergraduate students of Chungnam National University by a convenient sampling method. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test and t-test. Result were as follows ; 1) The fashion image of erotic experessions and levels, were categorized into 3 images factors : sexy-potency, modesty, attractiveness. 2) The erotic expressions significantly affected on three image factors 3) The erotic levels showed significant differences in three image dimensions and stronger erotic levels pressented more sexy-potency, less models and attractive images. 4) The erotic expressions showed interaction effects with the erotic levels in three image dimensions. 5) Subject's gender had a significant difference on fashion image perception : male subjects perceived the fashion photographs more attractive than female subjects did.

A questionnaire survey was conducted on male and female college students living in Busan in May 2015 to study customer types and purchasing behaviors based on the benefit sought from undergarments. This study used a total of 460 data reports collected from 203 male and 257 female college students. The results of this study were as follows. First, the undergarment benefits sought were divided into material and function, harmony of outerwear and underwear and design. Consumers were categorized into function seekers, brand and design seekers, and undergarment indifferent customers. In addition, while male college students were likely to be function seekers, female college students were mostly brand and design seekers. Second, both male and female respondents showcased significant differences in the undergarment benefits sought depending on their customer type. Based on the customer type, male college students showed a greater difference in the undergarment benefits they sought when compared to their female counterparts, and marked differences were found in male respondents' undergarment material and function factors and female respondents' harmony factor of outerwear and underwear. Based on their sex, a significant difference in the harmony factor of outerwear and undergarments was observed. Third, after examining the purchasing behavior influenced by the customer type, this study found that both male and female students had undergarment purchasing behavior differences depending on their customer type, while function seekers and design seekers were likely to exhibit similar behaviors in purchasing undergarments regardless of their sex, except for their preferred image and purchasing method of undergarments. However, among the indifferent group of customers, there were significant differences depending on their sex.
This study is to examine personal color - preferred color, well-matched color and the relations between preferred color and the well-matched color. Focus is also placed on how sexual difference influences color temperature preference. For data collection, a questionnaire including color stimulus was employed. The subjects of this study were the male and female college students who lived in Pusan. The results of the research are summarized as the following : In view of preferred color, male subjects preferred KEY2 color(warm) in red, pink, and yellow, and preferred KEY1(cool) in green and blue. While most subjects showed the same signal, in green, male preferred KEY1 color and female preferred KEY2 color. Concerning preferred personal color type, KEY1 type person liked KEY1 color except red, and KEY2 type person liked KEY2 color except blue. This shows that people prefer the focused color presenting its own traits. In view of well-matched color, most subjects liked KEY2 color in red, yellow, pink, and they selected KEY1 color in blue as the well-matched color. However, in green, each sex showed different preferences; while male subjects selected KEY1 color as the well-matched color, female ones selected KEY2 color. In each personal color type, KEY1 type male evaluated KEY1 color as the well-matched color, KEY2 type male evaluated KEY2 color except blue. KEY1 type female chose all the KEY1 color as well-matched colors, and KEY2 type female chose KEY2 color. The well-matched colors are similar between male and female subjects. In over 80 percentage of the answers, the preferred colors coincided with well-matched colors. KEY1 type persons chose KEY1 color, and KEY2 type person chose KEY2 color as the well-matched color. These results show that there is a meaningful relationship between the preferred color and well-matched color.
This research examines pattern production of 3 men's costumes in the second half of 19th century by 3D reconstruction to reveal technical aspects of mail costumes. The steps are as follows. First, an examination of selective type according to research study. Second, a pattern analysis of 3 historical male tops of 19th century referred to 9 pattern books of the France National Library collection. Third, a categorized type analysis that referred to paintings of the Musée d'Orsay collection. Fourth, a measurement and structure research of 3 historical garments of Fashion and Textile Museum collection. Fifth, the pattern making and fitting by 3D simulation. Research discussed the following subjects and results. First, main type of men's coat can be categorized by frac, redingote, jaquette, and veston. Second, the male costume pattern contained in pattern books was researched along with distinguished silhouettes and structures; X silhouette for frac and redingote, H silhouette for jaquette, and straight box silhouette for veston. Third, based on the analysis of representative type of men's costume per period conducted previous studies, 2 redingotes and a jaquette in the museum were selected and compared to other data such as image materials. Last, the following process was conducted for reconstruction; 'Drawing diagram-Primary pattern drafting by measurement value-3D virtual fitting-Checking the fit-Modification and complement'. We also obtained a 3D virtual reconstruction and a 2D research pattern that suggested a costume pattern by each type along with 3D reconstruction that included insights for male coat techniques of 19th century France.

This study investigated the relationship between fashion behavior, impression management behavior, and career success. A conceptual model and hypotheses were established based on theoretical linkages between the constructs. Thereafter, empirical data were collected using a set of questionnaires. For this reason, the sample was taken from 720 office workers' who worked at 14's Korea Enterprise, 697 of which was used for an empirical analysis (sample: men over 30 years of age and more than three years continuous service). This study conducted an exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis for the validity test. Cronbach's alpha test is used for the reliability test. Moreover, PLS structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to test hypothesized relationships in the conceptual model (SPSS 20.0 window/Smart PLS 3.0). This study shows that the proposed model is reasonably fit to the actual data. The following results were obtained from the analyses. First, fashion behavior and impression management behavior is positively related to career success. The result shows that economics of the fashion behaviors sub-types were statistically more significant to influence career success. The self-focused of the impression management behavior sub-types were more than statistically significant to influence career success. This finding has great implications to understand self-management behavior and the career success of male office workers.
The purposes of this study were to research the clothing shopping orientations and the utilizations of information sources according to values of male consumer aged between the 20's and the 30's. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, x2- test, Pearson's correlation. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Male consumer's values were classified into 2 factors, and consisted of three groups. 2. There were significant differences among groups according to demographics variables. 3. Clothing shopping orientations were classified into 6 factors and information sources were classified into 3 factors. 4. There were relationships between male consumer's values, clothing shopping orientation, and utilization of information sources.
The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female\\` The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume of Female College Students according to their life styles and their major. The data were collected from 300 female college students in Cheongju city through self-administerd questionnaires, and were analyzed by frequencies, Cronbach´s $\alpha$, F-test, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, one way ANOVA and Duncan Test. The results of the study were as follows: The image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume were found to include four different dimensions- fashion, activity, gracefulness, ability. There were not significant differences between dimensions of image on male and female´ contemporary folk costume according to student´s major. Life styles were classified five types. There were significantly different at dimensions of fashion and gracefulness, ability between life style dimensions and image on males´ contemporary folk costume. There was significantly different at dimension of gracefulness between life style dimensions and image on females´ contemporary folk costume.
In this study, it is explored whether teasing from parents and siblings about appearance of children affects body satisfaction and self-esteem of middle school students. A total of 594 adolescents participated in the survey and the causal model was tested with the data. In results, parents' and siblings' teasing was significantly correlated. Parents' and siblings' teasing significantly affected body satisfaction that showed a significant impact on self-esteem. In the mean comparison by gender, female adolescents suffered more from parents' as well as siblings' teasing on appearance than did male adolescents. Female adolescents indicated lower body satisfaction than male adolescents whereas no gender difference was found in self-esteem. In the multiple-model comparison, both the parents' and siblings' teasing about appearance affected body satisfaction of female adolescents while only siblings' teasing affected body satisfaction of male adolescents. The results indicate that female adolescents are more likely to be exposed to parents' and siblings' teasing about appearance at home than male adolescents, resulting in negative body satisfaction that is influencing self-esteem. The finding could be used as a basis for family education, calling for an attention to this issue.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between male and female internet clothing purchasers in regard to value and clothing benefit sought. The subjects used for the study were 224 university students who purchased clothing products through internet. The value consisted of security, pleasure, and accomplishment factors. Clothing benefits sought had figure compensation, sex appeal & fashion, individuality, conformity, and comfort factors. The results showed that male and female internet purchased students differed in regard to value and clothing benefit sought factors. Specifically, male students considered pleasure value more important than did female purchasers. In the meanwhile, female students considered accomplishment value more important and sought figure compensation and conformity benefits more than did male students. Regarding the effects of value on clothing benefits sought. the achievement value had a positive effect on figure compensation, sex appeal & fashion, and conformity benefits for both male and female students. no Pleasure value also had a Positive effect on rigure compensation and sex appeal benefits for female students while it had no effect for male students. In addition, while the security value had a positive effect on conformity benefit for female students, it had a positive effect on comfort benefit for male students.
