중학생들의 아침식사 규칙성과 관련요인 (Factor related to regularity of breakfast of middle school students)

  • Purpose : This study is descriptive research that confirms regularity of breakfast and related factor. Methods : The duration for investigation took place from April to May 2007 and 550 middle students of 6 middle school who lived in G city participated in investigation. The contents of the questionnaire consist of general trait, diet trait, life pattern and health state. Results : The significant variables of regularity of breakfast habit have some gender differences. For male students, recognition of importance of the breakfast, breakfast preparer, spare time before attendance and one's parents' breakfast habit are significant variables. On the other hand, for female students, recognition of importance of the breakfast, breakfast preparer and an income level are significant variables(p<.05). For male students, the cross ratio has 3.52 for recognition of importance of breakfast, 2.72 for one's parents' breakfast habit, 2.05 and 3.13 when one's mother prepare breakfast. For female students, the cross ratio is 3.24 score when one's mother prepare breakfast. Conclusion : The regularity of breakfast habits is related to recognition of importance of breakfast, mother's breakfast preparation and his or her parents'breakfast habit. It is necessary to propose the importance of breakfast to improve the regularity of breakfast habit and concern of parents for breakfast.

중학생의 기술교과 학업수행 어려움 인식과 영향 변인 (The Perception of Academic Difficulties of Middle School Students in technology subject and their Influences Variables.)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중학생들의 기술교과의 기술영역의 학업수행에 있어서 겪는 어려움의 인식을 분석하고, 그 영향 변인을 조사하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 대상은 전국의 중학생들이며, 조사를 위하여 학년과 지역을 고려하여 총 420명을 선정하고, 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료의 수집은 우편으로 이루어졌으며, 분석은 SPSS 22.0K를 이용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 기술 교과의 기술영역의 학업수행에서 중학생이 겪는 어려움은 보통수준으로 인식되었다. 둘째, 중학생들은 기술 교과 학업수행의 어려움 인식의 원인으로 경험(기회)의 부족으로 응답하였다. 셋째, 학업수행과정에서 관련용어와 이론에 대하여 여학생이 남학생보다 어렵다고 인식하고 있었다. 세부적인 문제해결활동에서도 문제 확인, 해결방안 구상, 해결방안 선정, 모형제작, 해결방안테스트, 개선점 수정에 대하여 여학생이 남학생에 비해 더 어렵다고 인식하였다. 넷째, 기술교과 학업수행에 대한 어려움은 용어, 이론, 실습활동에 대하여 2학년, 3학년, 1학년 순으로 어렵다고 응답하였다. 다섯째, 기술교과 학업수행의 어려움 인식의 영향 변인으로는 설명 이해 지식 부족, 내용 지식 혼동, 기술 관심 부족, 수업 시간 부족, 평가기준 이해 부족이 모두 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 세부적인 문제해결과정에 대한 어려움에 영향을 주는 변인으로는 설명이해, 내용지식혼동, 기술관심, 수업시간, 평가 기준 이해가 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

남.녀 중학생의 식생활관리 단원에 대한 관심도 및 실행 능력 (A Study on Interest and Application Ability in Meal Management of the middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of interest and application ability in meal management chapters of the middle school students, and to provide basic informations for the improvements of Home Economics curriculum and teaching projects. The subjects were 555 middle school students(275 males, 280 females) in Chunchon area, Kangwon-do. Research data were collected by means of the questionnaire and statistically analyzed by frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and correlation analysis using SPSS/win. The results of this study were summarized as follows: There were significant differences in the degree of interest and application ability according to gender, school years, home economics scholastic achievements, and father's role in preparing meal. The degree of interest and application ability was significantly higher in female than male. First grade students showed more interest and higher application ability than the third year. In general, the higher home economics scholastic achievement was, the higher the degree of interest and application ability was. The more father's role was in preparing meal, the higher student's degree of interest and application ability was. There was significant correlation between the degree of interest and the degree of application ability.(r=0.853, p< .001)

대학생의 어머니 취업력, 성취동기와 직업 양성평등의식이 어머니 취업에 대한 부정적 신념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Maternal Employment History, Achievement Motivation, and Gender Egalitarianism in Job on University Students' Negative Beliefs about the Consequences of Maternal Employment)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects maternal employment history, achievement motivation and gender egalitarianism in job on university students' negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. A total of 338 university students in Seoul, Kyungki, and Kyungnam area, provided information for the study. Analyses results showed that male students had higher level of negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment and achievement motivation and lower level of gender egalitarianism in job than female students did. Mothers' history of employment during the student's middle and high school period and higher job egalitarianism predicted lower negative beliefs about maternal employment. As male and female students were compared, male students with history of mothers' employment, lower level of achievement motivation and higher level of gender egalitarianism showed low level of negative beliefs about maternal employment. For female students, mothers' employment significantly predicted their beliefs about negative consequences of maternal employment.

마산, 창원지역 중학생의 김치에 대한 지식 및 인식조사 (A study on Middle School Students' Perception and Knowledge for Kimchi in Masan and Changwon City)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the knowledge and perception for Kimchi in middle school students. A questionnaire was used as the instrument of investigation. The subjects were 375 male students and 278 female students in Masan and Changwon City. The main results of this study are as follows. Ninety-three point three percent of the subjects were nuclear family type and 61.7% of respondent's mother had job. The average knowledge score for Kimchi of the subjects was 5.27 out of possible 10 points and the average value score on Kimchi was 41.25 out of 50 points. Eighty-six point one percent of students think they should eat Kimchi because Kimchi is good for the health(38.6%) and Kimchi is our traditional food(31.4%), and it was significantly difference between gender(p<0.01), male students more realized 'Kimchi is good for the health(41.6%)', whereas female students more realized 'Kimchi is our traditional food(38.9%)'. The subjects perceived that the additive material making for Kimchi were powdered red pepper(80.2%), garlic(62.5%), salt(62.0%), salted, fermented shrimp(50.2%). ginger(49.5%), green onion(39.8%), salted, fermented anchovy(34.9%), sesame(25.0%), carrot(22.4%). More than 70% of the subjects estimated for Kimchi 'Kimchi is our traditional food(84.1%)', 'Kimchi must be developed the international food'(73.7%), 'Kimchi must be in succession(75.8%)', 'Kimchi is very nutritious food(70.3%)'. However, they thought Kimchi have to be improved more hygienically(38.8%) and less stimulative taste(25.7%). The knowledge for Kimchi showed a positive correlation with the value on Kimchi and the preferences for Kimchi, and the value on Kimchi was a positively related to the preferences for Kimchi(p<0.01). Therefore it is need to the development of program for the knowledge for Kimchi and the value on Kimchi in order to improvement the preferences for Kimchi.

청소년기 학생들의 섭식태도에 관한 조사 (A Study on Eating Behavior of Students in Adolescents)

  • 남녀 중학생들의 섭식의 형태와 신경증적 경향과의 연관성을 알아보고자 1993년 대구시내 모 중학교 3학년 학생 419명(남 : 187명, 여 : 232명)을 대상으로 섭식태도 척도, Middlesex Hospital Questionnaire 및 Zung의 자가평가 우울척도를 사용하여 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 체중의 과소에 따른 성적은 유의하지 않았다. 남학생과 여학생을 비교할때 여학생의 경우 모든 척도에서 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였다(p<0.05). 섭식태도척도는 Middlesex Hospital Questionnaire와 Zung의 자가평가 우울척도와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(p<0.05). 정신사회적 요인 중 남녀학생 모두에게 유의하게 높은 접수를 보인 요인은 현재 및 미래 자아상에 불만인 경우 (각각 p<10.05, p<0.05) 현재 및 주위 환경에 불만인 경우(p<0.05)이었다. 남학생에서 유의하게 높은 접수를 보인 요인은 현재 대인관계에 있어서 불만족인 경우(p<0.05)이었으며, 여학생에서는 용돈 중 61-90%를 먹는데 사용하는 경우(p<0.05), 가족간의 관계가 불만족(p<0.05) 또는 보통인 경우(p<0.05), 성장 환경에 불만족인 경우(p<0.05), 과거 자아상에 대해 불만족인 경우(p<0.05) 및 현재 부모와의 관계에서 불만족인 경우(p<0.05)이었다.

고등학교 남녀 학생의 수학 능력에 대한 담론 연구 (A Study on the Discourses Related to Mathematical Aptitude in High School Students)

  • This study aims to study the discourses influencing high school students' concept and attitude toward mathematics, and to examine how gender differences concerning mathematical aptitude are created. This study is based on the results of previous two studies which suggested that mathematical competence differs not only according to gender, region and school year, but also even within the same gender. For this study, 12 students ranking in the top 10% at two co-ed high schools were interviewed to find out 1) what discourses are related to gender and mathematics, 2) in what way these discourses are formulated and gain currency, and 3) how they have affected students in general. Common notions concerning mathematics may be summed up as follows: 1) Most of the students believe that gender difference in mathematical aptitude results because biologically men tend to be strong in mathematics and analytical skills while women tend to have better linguistic ability. This concept can help male students' studying to have a greater learning toward mathematics. 2) A large number of the students believe that male students' studying method is based on comprehension whereas female students' method is based on retention, and hence the former group tends to be better at applying their learning than the latter group. This notion seres to encourage male students and discourage female students from tackling difficult mathematical problems. 3) Many students believe that, although female students may surpass their male counterparts in middle school or the first year of high school, they will eventually fall behind by the 3rd year. Despite research which shows that these common beliefs are not grounded in scientific proof, high-school girls, who may be strong in mathematics, lose self-confidence and feel a sense of crisis. The mechanisms which produce and reinforce such concepts as those mentioned above can be summarized as follows: 1) Regarding the choice of majors and future career paths, parents show different attitudes toward sons and daughters, and this tends to influence high-school girls and hinders them from entering mathematics-related fields. 2) Teachers with value systems based on stereo-typed gender roles affect students a great deal, and give different advice according to gender of their students, for selecting their major fields - for instance, whether to study the natural sciences as opposed to humanities. 3) This study indicates that peer-group behavior, of either support or exclusion, also reinforces the process of internalizing notions of gender difference related to mathematical aptitude. 4) The gender-based notion that men are naturally more inclined to have better mathematical ability has caused male students to choose the natural science subjects and female students to turn to the humanities. The discourses discussed above, propagated in schools and homes, and in the mass media, are continually reinforced along with general gender inequalities in the society at large.

중학생의 가정과교사 특성지각과 가정과 수업을 통한 인성적 도덕성 (Home Economics Teacher Characteristics and Affective Morality through Home Economics Instruction recognized by Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between home economics teachers' characteristics and middle school students' affective morality through Home Economics Instruction. The affective morality of middle school students after taking home economics classes were assessed and investigated as to what sorts of affective morality there were and to find out what level they were. further, what factors affected the affective morality of middle school students considering the variable factors of home economics teachers. 800 first year male and female students of 17 middle schools located in Cheonju and Cheongwon were selected through non-random or accessible sampling. The frequency, precent, mean and standard deviation, correlation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression of these data were obtained by using the SPSS 10.0 for Windows Program. The result of this study were as follows: First, basic etiquette was the most important rated the highest among the affective morality, nature preservation turned out the lowest in each questionnaire. Learned in home economics, it was considered the highest goal; Second, in terms of character and affective morality of middle school students, male students ranked higher than female students and the students with a better academic performance record, and those who engaged in club activities showed better results in affective morality as did students with religious beliefs and students with better educated parents and also students from homes with better financial situations. Third, in terms of students' perception of home economics teachers with a good nature turned out the highest, teaching ability and career awareness and also reflected at the same level. Fourth, students' perception of home economics teachers' characteristics and their affective morality are honed out correlated with each other. The correlation of home economics teachers' career awareness and compassion${\cdot}$devotion${\cdot}$service morality proved to be the highest. Fifth, the affective morality of those students who do community service, club activities and those who are interested in home economics and who respect home economics teachers tended to be high.

과학 영재들의 성별에 따른 지구과학 영역 문제해결과정에 대한 비교 (Comparison on Problem Solving of Earth Science Area by Science Gifted Children's Gender)

  • This study was designed to explore problem solving process to earth science area by elementary science gifted children, which compared and analyzed the questionnaires and problem solving to earth science area by gifted Science education center, Seoul National University Of Education, The analyzed results showed difference by gender that in the science study level at the time of entrance to the gifted Science education center, male students was the highest in the middle school as 37.5%, and female students in the elementary 6th grade as 61.5%. And male students were investigated to do more precedent study than female students. Secondly, in the problem solving process of earth science related problems, males made most use of problem solving process area(30.3%), and females symbolizing (27.5%) area. Thirdly, comparison of reasoning technology in problem solving process by gender indicated that both sexes made the most use of analytical reasoning (male 62.0%, female 53.6%) to solve problems.

일상식 상차림 패턴과 1인 1회 분량에 근거한 중학생의 식단계획 평가 (Assessment of Menu Plan Prepared by Middle School Students According to Ordinary Meal Pattern and Single Serving Size)

  • It is important to prepare and execute the menu plan for proper and balanced intake of nutrients in the adolescence. This study investigated the new approach for planning menu by ordinary meal pattern based on cooked foods groups. The amounts of cooked foods in the menu plan assumed to be single serving size. The middle school second graders participated for the study. A total of 313 questionnaires were analyzed using CAN-pro 3.0 and SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The average content of energy in the menu plan was 2,453 kcal, the average ratios of energy contribution by carbohydrate, protein and fat were 54.3%, 17.9%, 27.8%, respectively. A total of 56.9% menu plans (94.9% of male and 8.7% of female students') were below the lowest limit of optimum carbohydrate energy ratio of 55%. A total of 29.1% menu plans (33.1% of male and 23.9% of female students') were exceed the highest limit of optimum fat energy ratio of 30%. The NAR of minerals and vitamins were all 1.0 except for calcium (0.92) and folate (0.88). When INQ of the individual cooked food groups were calculated, kimch was the highest in all minerals and vitamins examined, suggesting that kimch may be the best source for all minerals and vitamins, including calcium and folate with the minimum change in energy content. In conclusion, the menu plan by ordinary meal pattern in this study was low in carbohydrate, high in fat, and contained enough minerals and vitamins except for calcium and folate for middle school students.
