  • Sweating, which is the excretion of oil on the surface of a solid product containing several kinds of pigments in oil and is also solidified with wax, is a unique phenomenon often observed on the surface of cover make-up or lipstick. The cause of sweating is an imbalanced formula. Many studies have been conducted to decrease the symptoms of sweating in the field of cosmetics. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is a thermo-analytical technique that measures the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a sample as a function of temperature or time under certain conditions. DSC has been used to determine the thermal properties of oil/wax structures. This study investigates how the thermal characteristics correlate with the sweating symptoms. An oil/wax formulation with an optimal melting point was studied in an attempt to make a stable product by considering the thermal properties that represent minimal structural changes with temperature variation. In addition, the sweating of the oil/wax formulation was observed over a various temperature range. As a result, it was found that sweating was minimized when the structure remained static or little bit changed over a variety of temperatures.

The study was conducted on 520 hospital workers who use cosmeceutical cosmetics in hospitals (dermatology, plastic surgery, women's clinic, and other hospitals) in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. A total of 502 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The data analysis consisted of Cronbach's alpha, one-way ANOVA, exploratory factor analysis and Duncan test. Correlation analysis was performed to investigate the correlation between variables, and regression analysis was conducted to test hypotheses. The study results revealed that when choosing cosmetic cosmetics, marketing communication is influential. Especially, product value, quality, and price factors strongly affect marketing communication. This shows that we value the product and quality the most and we want a reasonable price. Considering this, we will pursue differentiated products only from cosmeceutical cosmetics and provide them as basic data necessary for securing potential customers and increasing the sales of cosmeceutical cosmetics in accordance with the changing trends.

The subjects of this study were 936 adult woman from the age of 20 to the age of 40 living in Daegu. The data were analyzed by using MAVOVA, ANOVA, frequency analysis, the analysis of confidence coefficient and the Cronbach's $\alpha$ were also applied. The result of this study were summarized as follows : 1. The group with a high degree of self-esteem was found out to pursue fashion and interest more than the group with a low degree of self-esteem. The group with a low degree of self-esteem was found out to have higher conformity than the group with a high degree of self-esteem. It was found out that the group with a high degree of self-esteem shows a higher degree of make-up than the group with a low degree of self-esteem. 2. The group with a high degree of appearance concern was found out to pursue fashion and interest more than the group with a low degree of appearance concern. • Generally pigment differs from dye stuff because it cannot be melted in water but also because it is stable physically and chemically. In this study you will discover the function, properties and effects of Micai-TiO$_2$-SiO$_2$pigment as abase material pigment. But until now used Mica of the base material is about 7-l5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ with an average diameters of 15${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. A new characteristic superficial pigment was obtained from covering the TiO$_2$ and SiO$_2$ with the adsorption result of isoelectric point of a Mica flake, TiO$_2$ and SiO$_2$In the composition reaction study of adsorption was done as well as the physical characteristics of the superficial texture of the obtained material. L,a,b of color change as oil was absorbed, optical nature and change of reflection according to direct and diffused reflection. In the composition of Mica slurry the best result obtained was in a solution with pH 2.0 to 2.3. Following this result, we can come to the idea that electrical attraction was done during the change of electrical charge of the Mica and TiO$_2$ deposit. Also this pigment shows a big scale between the direct reflection and diffused reflection light. Using this characteristic in cosmetic, it was obtained a natural but a contrast between light and shadow making possible a sculptured make-up. Color change due to oil adsorption was insignificant which improved the last of make up.

Survey was conducted with 1,200 female coeducational university students in Beijing, Tokyo and Seoul and 1,115 were used for the data analysis. Data were analysed by frequency analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, chi-square analysis, analysis of variance, Duncan's Multiple Range test. The results showed significant differences in purchasing behaviors in China, Japan and Korea. Japanese students mainly got information through objective sources, while Koreans did so through human network. Regrading the evaluative criteria for basic care items, function and effect were the most important criteria for Chinese and Korean consumers and skin compatibility for Japanese. • In this study we tried to find the skin color of Koreans according to the change of seasons, and to the degree of make-up used by men and women. in order to furnish foundation data that could be used in the cosmetics and clothes industries. The skin color was measured with Minolta's Chrome Meter CR-200 in seven parts of the body with Munsell's hue, value, chroma. The difference in skin color in men and women's groups, and the difference in skin color of each group in March and in September were treated with SPSS's Anova and t-test. 1. In both seasons. March and September, a big difference could be observed between the two groups (men and women's). The body was more yellowish than the face. The men's group had a reddish skin color than the women's groups. In all groups we could observe a big difference in color between seasons, and in March, the skin was more reddish whereas in September, it became more yellowish. 2. As for the value, both in March and in September, the hairline was darkest, and the lightest areas were the jaw and the inner arm which showed a similar value. The group of women who put on make-up had the highest value, whereas the men's group showed the lowest result in value. We suppose it to be due to the fact that Putting on make-up prevented the melanin pigmentation by blocking the UV rays. 3. We could observe the highest value in chrome in the chin area both in March and in September, and there was no significant change. There was a difference in men and women's groups, but not a significant one within the women's groups.
