A few people are frequently using Korean text entry function in the mobile phone. To make matters worse, too many kinds of Korean text entry methods exist in the market, compelling mobile phone users to learn how to input texts all over again, whenever they purchase a new mobile phone. The purpose of this study is to propose a universal design of Korean text entry method for mobile phones. Several experiments and several questionnaire surveys were conducted in order to induce design factors for the universal design. Participants were mobile phone users with the diverse levels of text entry expertise and with the diverse ages. The results of this investigation were identical, irrespective of participants' age and expertise. The efficiency of the text entry method was not more important factor than memorability. The layout of vowels to keypad was preferred to map just 3 strokes to the 3 buttons so that users can make for themselves vowels that they want to input. The preference on the consonants layout was different according to investigation methods. According to the survey, it was preferred that consonants were arranged by alphabet order. However, the result of text entry speed measurement was that the arrangement by alphabet order was not superior to the typical arrangement. Such results may be used to design mobile phones for diverse users.

This study aimed to identify the effect of make-up education on the life satisfaction of elderly women based on a make-up education session for eight weeks from May 28 to July 16, 2010 provided to elderly women aged 60 or above who visited P Seniors' Welfare Center in D city. 80 samples were divided into the experimental group of 40 people and the control group of 40 people based on age and interest in make-up. Their life satisfaction level was identified before the survey. The experimental group received an eight-week make-up education session. In order to verify effects of the make-up education, follow-up tests were conducted toward the experimental and control groups both to compare life satisfaction levels. The make-up education was divided into elegant and natural make-up, make-up to look ten years younger, face-changing make-up, seasonal (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) make-up, make-up for Korean traditional costumes, and party make-up. In each class, students practiced make-up on their face while taking a lecture on theories. After the education, the students found the education satisfactory overall. Based on the results, the life satisfaction of the experimental group who received the make-up education significantly increased (p<0.05), confirming that make-up education affects the life at old age.

As the conventional farming emphasizes the productivity and the quantity produced, large amount of agricultural chemicals have been used. As a result, natural environment and human health are critical issues in recent years in Korea. Reflecting these problems, many farmers have begun to practice the LISA(low input sustainable agriculture) voluntarily across the country. In this study, a survey was made to 13 apple producers who have been producing the fruits by practicing the LISA, and wanted to analyze the production and marketing information in order to suggest the improvement strategies for the sustainable agriculture. Some of the improvement strategies were suggested as follows ; First, advance payment to the LISA apple growers should be supplied in order to make it easier for the financially burdened producers. Also, some kind of means should be developed to prepare the equipments/machineries to make the organic fertilizers. Price differentiation should be utilized in marketing the products, and mass marketing channels for the LISA products should be provided for them. Public quality guaranty is badly needed in order to accelerate the marketing. Finally, stronger producer organizations should be organized and subsidized by the government because those organizations are playing an important role in developing the LISA.

To meet the needs of customer, manufacturing companies are diversifying product making methods. In order to adapt to changes, companies are trying to find a new manufacturing system. In this research, MTS (Make to Stock) and MTO (Make to Order) production methods are simulated using ARENA and the results are compared and analyzed to find a better system. As a result, by combining the advantages of MTS and MTO system, a hybrid production system is developed. The hybrid model is analyzed to verify that it is better than the existing two models, which is MTS and MTO model. The statistic results of output analyzer show that a new system helped to increase production rate and decrease work in process inventory. The hybrid model proved that it contains the merits of MTO production method and MTS production method.

In this paper, we present the implementation of filterbank for MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) decoder with VHDL. The filterbank of AAC employs a technique called time-domain aliasing cancellation (TDAC). In order to make the algorithm more efficiently, we decompose and reorganize the filterbank algorithm lot the high speed decoding process and lower computational cost. And we make this filterbank algorithm to be used with other modules of AAC decoder in parallel processing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze traits of transport goods by Rail. In order to establish order in fishing industry by cracking down on illegal fishing vessels effectively, it is an essential requirement to identify marking such as the name of fishing vessel and a port of register more easily. Accordingly, it is quite natural that markings on fishing vessels should be marked clearly in an appropriate size on an appropriate site in order for them to be distinguished on the air such as from planes as well as on the sea. Actually, when examining marks such as the name of a vessel which are operating in the country, marks of most fishing vessels are too small as they cannot be distinguished with the naked eye even very closely. There is no coastal fishing vessel which marks the name of fishing vessel on the upper part in order to distinguish it from planes. Fishing vessel law generally which regulates the basic laws about shipbuilding regulates marks on fishing vessel, and fisheries law only regulates sign boards of fishing vessels. Problems and improvement of the marking system on fishing vessels suggested by this paper are as follows. First, in order to contribute to establish order in fishing industry, it would be desirable to tighten standards in fisheries law besides the fishing vessel law. Second, it is difficult to distinguish marks such as the name of a vessel as relevant laws allow fishers to make such marks too small. It is necessary to set the standard for marks larger than those regulated by the international treaty. Third, the relevant laws do not regulate a letter form of marks. Therefore, it becomes a factor to make small marks hard to be distinguished more. It is necessary to decide a clear letter form. Fourth, there is insufficient detailed international standards about the marking system. It is necessary to regulate a detailed standard.
