  • For CMOS, this paper propose a new global routing algorithm in which macrocells and I/O padcells can be treated. Not only predefined feedthrough in base array, but also some polysilicon line which are not assigned as inputs are used to prevent the overflow of nets passing through the row. The signal nets are assigned on their feedthrough by the maze router. By treating macrocells and I/O padcell, the routing from internal to I/O cell can be done automatically and a kind of is constraints in design process can be reduced.

  • An experimental study to evaluate to evaluate corrosion protection systems was undertaken with 44 reinforced concrete slab specimens subjected to cyclic wet and dry saltwater exposure. Corrosion measurements included monitoring macrocell corrosion currents, which are genrerally accecpted in United States practice. Test results indicate that specimens containing 2 kg/$\textrm{m}^3$ of NaCl and exposed to wet(outdoor) and dry(indoor) conditions but not to saltwater show very low values of corrosion measurements regardless applying any corrosion protective systems. Corrosion currents of the specimens exposed at 10 percent of NaCl were higher than that of the specimen exposed at 5 percent of NaCl, so the density of the salt water had an influential effect on the test. For the specimens with water repellent membrane currents kept relatively low numerical values, but test specimens with surface corrosion inhibitor protective system showed high values of corrosion current. It would be expected that evaluation of the corrosion protective systems need long-term measurement.

  • This paper proposes a novel resource allocation scheme which enables to guarantee the quality of experience (QoE) for handovers from femtocell to macrocell and vice versa, and between femtocells in the overlaid macro-femto networks. The proposed scheme guarantees QoE to a certain extent during handover by utilizing a fixed amount of radio resource reserved in advance for the dedicated use to support QoE. We take both the type of the handover and the temporal sensitiveness characteristics of user services into consideration in order to support QoE. Performance of our scheme is analyzed by simulation with respect to the outage probability and total throughput.

  • A femtocell is a small cellular base station, typically designed for use in a home or small business. The random deployment of a femtocell has a critical effect on the performance of a macrocell network due to co-channel interference. Utilizing the advantage of a multiple-input multiple-output system, each femto base station (FBS) is able to form a cluster and generates a precoding matrix, which is a modified version of conventional single-cell block diagonalization, in a cooperative manner. Since interference from clustered-FBSs located at the nearby macro user equipment (MUE) is the dominant interference contributor to the coexisting networks, each cluster generates a precoding matrix considering the effects of interference on nearby MUEs. Through simulation, we verify that the proposed algorithm shows better performance respective to both MUE and femto user equipment, in terms of capacity.

  • At this paper, we use non reversible hierarchical scheme and fixed channel assignment scheme at the hierarchical cellular system with macrocell and microcell for the call process strategy Using this strategy, we analyze the system performance in accordance with the various dwell time at each cell. In this simulation result, the more the dwell time is small at microcell, the more the blocking probability and the handover failure probability is low.

  • PCS(Personal Communications Systems) where the cell structure is microcell can accommodate more subscribers than those of cellular systems where the cell structure is macrocell by reducing the cell radius. To cope with such differences in PCS environment, new channel allocation schemes are needed. In this paper, problems which may arise when channel allocation scheme of cellular is applied to PCS is firstly analyzed. To overcome such problems, a new scheme is proposed. Performance of proposed schemes is analyzed and compared with other channel allocation schemes. Blocking probability is used as the performance parameter.

  • In this paper we propose a resource management scheme which allocates hierarchical resources stepwise based on the users' QoS requirement of each service in the macro-femtocell overlaid LTE-Advanced network. Our proposed scheme adjusts the transmission rate to the minimum which guarantees the allowable minimum requirement of delay for each user service. In this way it minimizes the interference on the adjacent channels and it is able to increase the resource utilization efficiency. Simulation results show that our scheme provides better performances than the conventional one in respect of the outage probability and data transmission throughput.

  • An 8b Fuzzy Coprocessor (FC) is presented that has eight programmable fuzzy algorithms and up to 256 inputs, 64 outputs and 16,384 rules. The 6.4mm2 chip fabricated in 1.0$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology can be used as a stand-alone device or as a macrocell for microcontrollers. Operating at 20MHz crystal frequency, it has a peak performance of 7.9M rules/s. Perspectives of future FC generations are also outlined, including a 12-16b resolution, additional fuzzy set operations, and optimized inference and defuzzification strategies.

  • This article describes an interference reduction scheme for Mobile WiMAX in an indoor environment. The feasibility of user deployed femtocells in the same frequency channel as an existing macro cell network is investigated. One of the important requirements for co-channel operation of femtocells such as auto-configuration and self optimization are discussed. In femtocell deployments, leakage of the pilot signal to the outside of a house can result of the higher number of mobility events caused by passing user of macrocell. This interference effect can be minimized by reducing the pilot power using proper scheme. This paper introduces existing auto-configuration method of power control and proposed interference reduction scheme using power control for Mobile WiMAX in an indoor environment.

  • Small cells, particularly femtocells, are regarded a promising solution for limited resources required to handle the increasing data demand. They usually boost wireless network capacity. While widespread usage of femtocells increases network gain, it also raises several challenges. Interference is one of such concerns. Interference management is also seen as a main obstacle in the adoption of two-tier networks. For example, placing femtocells in a traditional macrocell's geographic area. Interference comes in two forms: cross-tier and co-tier. There have been previous studies conducted on the topic of interference management. This study investigates the principle of categorization of interference management systems. Many methods exist in the literature to reduce or eliminate the impacts of co-tier, cross-tier, or a combination of the two forms of interference. Following are some of the ways provided to manage interference: FFR, Cognitive Femtocell and Cooperative Resource Scheduling, Beamforming Strategy, Transmission Power Control, and Clustering/Graph-Based. Approaches, which were proposed to solve the interference problem, had been presented for each category in this work.
