Since IR8, the first high-yielding rice cultivar characterised by semidwarf and high-tillering, was released in 1966, rice yields during the last two decades have apparently reached a plateau and subsequent efforts to further improve yielding ability have not resulted in visible gains. At this point of time, a new ideotype of rice plant would be necessary to increase grain yield potential. This experiment was conducted to investigate the yield contribution of different tillers within a plant in relation to an ideo type of rice plant. A low-tillering, large panicled IR25588 was compared with a high-tillering, small panicled IR58. Based on spikelet number and grain weight per panicle, the top six panicles in both low- and high-tillering cultivarswere significantly bigger than those in the other panicles. The top six panicles were M, PI, P2, P3, P4 and S1P2 in both cultivars. Their tillers had 100% probability of occurring. The top six tillers were characterised by earlier initiation and heading, longer growth duration, greater leaf area. and heavier culm and total dry weight per tiller. The top six panicles, based on grain weight was mainly due to higher spikelet number per panicle with little differences in 1,000 grain weight and percent fertility. They had also a greater number of high -density grains. The top six panicles were significantly bigger than the rest of the panicles in both low- and high-tilliering types suggesting that a new rice ideotype having six or fewer potential tillers or panicles per paint with 200 to 250 spikelets per panicle (a low-tillering, paicle weight type) may help increase grain yield potential since they have been shown to be superior physio-morphologically to the rest of the tillers.
Illite-smectite mixed layers (I-S) occurring authigenically in diagenetic and hydrothermal environments reacts toward more illite-rich phases as temperature and potassium ion concentration increase. For that reason, I-S is often used as geothermometry and/or geochronometry at the field of hydrocarbons or ore minerals exploration. Generally, I-S shows X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) patterns of ultra-thin lamellar structures, which consist of restricted numbers of sillicate layers (normally, 5 ~ 15 layers) stacked in parallel to a-b planes. This ultra-thinness is known to decrease I-S expandability (%S) rather than theoretically expected one (short-stacking effect). We attempt here to quantify the short stacking effect of I-S using the difference of two types of expandability: one type is a maximum expandability ($%S_{Max}$) of infinite stacks of fundamental particles (physically inseparable smallest units), and the other type is an expandability of finite particle stacks normally measured using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) ($%S_{XRD}$). Eleven I-S samples from the Geumseongsan volcanic complex, Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, have been analyzed for measuring $%S_{XRD}$ and average coherent scattering thickness (CST) after size separation under 1 ${\mu}m$. Average fundamental particle thickness ($N_f$) and $%S_{Max}$ have been determined from $%S_{XRD}$ and CST using inter-parameter relationships of I-S layer structures. The discrepancy between $%S_{Max}$ and $%S_{XRD}$ (${\Delta}%S$) suggests that the maximum short-stacking effect happens approximately at 20 $%S_{XRD}$, of which point represents I-S layer structures consisting of ca. average 3-layered fundamental particles ($N_f{\approx}3$). As a result of inferring the $%S_{XRD}$ range of each Reichweite using the $%S_{XRD}$ vs. $N_f$ diagram of Kang et al. (2002), we can confirms that the fundamental particle thickness is a determinant factor for I-S Reichweite, and also that the short-stacking effect shifts the $%S_{XRD}$ range of each Reichweite toward smaller $%S_{XRD}$ values than those that can be theoretically prospected using junction probability.
In this study, the Batter Assessment Science Integrating point and Nonpoint Sources (BASINS 3.0)/window interface to Hydrological Simulation Program-FPRTRAN (WinHSPF) was applied for assessment of Soyang Dam watershed. WinHSPF calibration was performed using monitoring data from 2000 to 2004 to simulate stream flow. Water quality (water temperature, DO, BOD, nitrate, total organic nitrogen, total nitrogen, total organic phosphorus and total phosphorus) was calibrated. Calibration results for dry-days and wet-days simulation were reasonably matched with observed data in stream flow, temperature, DO, BOD and nutrient simulation. Some deviation in the model results were caused by the lack of measured watershed data, hydraulic structure data and meteorological data. It was found that most of pollutant loading was contributed by nonpoint source pollution showing about $98.6%{\sim}99.0%$. The WinHSPF BMPRAC was applied to evaluate the water quality improvement. These scenarios included constructed wetland for controlling nonpoint source poilution and wet detention pond. The results illustrated that reasonably reduced pollutant loadin. Overall, BASINS/WinHSPF was found to be applicable and can be a powerful tool in pollutant loading and BMP efficiency estimation from the watershed.

Purpose : AOM is the most common bacterial URI in children. The bacteriology and antibiotic Tx of AOM in children has been studied in many countries. But, there is few study of causative pathogens and antibiotic Tx of AOM in our country. In this aspect, we performed prospective clinical study to confirm the causative pathogens and assess the clinical responses of cefprozil in AOM patients. Methods : Thirty three AOM patients enrolled in this study. Tympanocentesis for isolation of causative pathogens were performed before Tx of cefprozil. The study patients received cefprozil with dose of 15 mg/kg/bid.po/day for 10-12 days, and initially assessed the clinical response at 4-5 days after receiving cefprozil and finally at the end visit. In vitro susceptibility tests of cefprozil to isolated pathogens were done by disc diffusion method, and in vitro susceptibility tests of cefaclor and cefixime to isolated pathogens were simultaneously performed. Results : Bacterial pathogens[S. pneumoniae(10), H. influenzae(5), S. aureus(2), M. catarrhalis(1) and Group A stretococcus(1)] were isolated from 19 patients. Clinically, all patients had history of abrupt high fever except one. Tympanic perforation was dominant in pathogens isolated cases, and otalgia was significantly developed in non-pathogens isolated cases. The ages of pathogens isolated cases were usually below 2 years. Eighty four point nine percent of the patients including two cases with isolation of intermediate resistant S. pneumoniae were clinically improved. Antimicrobial in vitro activity to S. pneumoniae of cefprozil were superior than that of cefacor and cefixime. Conclusion : We confirm that bacteria has the causative role in about 60% cases, and S. pneumoniae is the most common pathogen. Clinically, there were some differences in symptoms, signs and ages between pathogens isolated and non-pathogens isolated cases. The clinical responses of cefprozil in our patients revealed similar outcomes to other countries. And we reconfirm that cefprozil may be clinically effective in cases of AOM due to intermediate resistant S. pneumoniae.
The satellite sensor model is typically established using ground control points acquired by ground survey Of existing topographic maps. In some cases where the targeted area can't be accessed and the topographic maps are not available, it is difficult to obtain ground control points so that geospatial information could not be obtained from satellite image. The paper presents several satellite sensor models and satellite image decomposition methods for non-accessible area where ground control points can hardly acquired in conventional ways. First, 10 different satellite sensor models, which were extended from collinearity condition equations, were developed and then the behavior of each sensor model was investigated. Secondly, satellite images were decomposed and also pseudo images were generated. The satellite sensor model extended from collinearity equations was represented by the six exterior orientation parameters in 1$^{st}$, 2$^{nd}$ and 3$^{rd}$ order function of satellite image row. Among them, the rotational angle parameters such as $\omega$(omega) and $\phi$(phi) correlated highly with positional parameters could be assigned to constant values. For non-accessible area, satellite images were decomposed, which means that two consecutive images were combined as one image. The combined image consists of one satellite image with ground control points and the other without ground control points. In addition, a pseudo image which is an imaginary image, was prepared from one satellite image with ground control points and the other without ground control points. In other words, the pseudo image is an arbitrary image bridging two consecutive images. For the experiments, SPOT satellite images exposed to the similar area in different pass were used. Conclusively, it was found that 10 different satellite sensor models and 5 different decomposed methods delivered different levels of accuracy. Among them, the satellite camera model with 1$^{st}$ order function of image row for positional orientation parameters and rotational angle parameter of kappa, and constant rotational angle parameter omega and phi provided the best 60m maximum error at check point with pseudo images arrangement.
These experiments were conducted to investigate the enzymatic characteristics of the purified $\alpha$-amylase (F-2A) of Bacillus circulans F-2 and the digestion rate of various starches. 1. The molecular weight was estimated to be 93000 by SDS-polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis. The isoelectric point was about pH 5.0. The optimum pH for the enzyme action was 6.0-6.5 and the stable pH ranged pH 5.5-12.0. The optimum temperature was 6$0^{\circ}C$, and the purified $\alpha$-amylase was stable below 4$0^{\circ}C$. 2. The purified $\alpha$-amylase was activated by Mn$^{++}$ and Co$^{++}$, whereas it was inhibited by Ag$^{+}$, HT$^{++}$, Cu$^{++}$ and Pb$^{++}$. 3. The purified $\alpha$-amylase is considered to have no sulfhydryl residue essential for its catalytic activity. 4. Michaelis constant (Km) was 1.704 mg/$m\ell$. Activation energy between 25-4$0^{\circ}C$ was 12.297 Kcal/mole, and between 40-6$0^{\circ}C$, it was 7.831 Kcal/mole. 5. The hydrolysis product from soluble starch, amylose and amylopectin in the early stage of hydrolysis was G$_{6}$, and as hydrolysis proceeds, G$_4$and G$_2$appeared. 6. Products from each oligosaccarides are as follows: G$_4$longrightarrow G$_2$+ G$_2$,G$_3$ +G$_1$,G$_{5}$longrightarrow G$_4$+G$_1$,G$_{6}$longrightarrowG$_4$+ G$_2$,G$_{7}$ G$_4$,G$_{8}$longrightarrow G$_4$+G$_4$, 7. On raw potato starch, raw sago starch and raw yam starch, the purified enzyme exhibited a remarkably high digestion rate than Porcine pancreatic amylase and Streptococcus bovis amylase.

Purpose: This study was investigated weather watching 2D and 3D images effecting on accommodative function (AF), and differences between changes of AF by 2D and 3D. Methods: 50 subjects (male 30, female 20) aged 20's to 40's years old ($22.9{\pm}3.93$ years) who are available to watching 3D images were participated for this study. Accommodative amplitude (AA) by near point of accommodation (NPA), accommodative response (AR), positive and negative relative accommodation (PRA, NRA), accommodative facility (AF) were measured before, after watching 2D and 3D images at 1 m distance for 30 minutes respectively. Results: Accommodative amplitude after both watching 2D and 3D images decreased comparing to before watching images, and AA after watching 3D images was significantly lower than after watching 2D images. AR after both watching 2D and 3D images increased comparing to before watching images, but there was no difference between 2D and 3D. PRA and NRA were not significantly different between before, after watching 2D and 3D images. Accommodation speed by AF was increased for before watching ($13.52{\pm}3.32$ cpm) following by for after watching 2D images ($14.28{\pm}3.21$ cpm) and for watching 3D images ($14.90{\pm}3.27$ cpm). Conclusions: Watching images at close distance is effect to accommodation functions, and sequence of AA decrease of before watching images following by after watching 2D images and after watching 3D images may effect to asthenopia with same sequence as AA decrease. The results of increase of AF after watching images, specially 3D images show a possibility of vision therapy and further detail VT studies using 3D images are required in the future.
The purpose of this study was to establish the optimal operation condition of the natural evaporation system(NES) which was used for reducing swine slurry. Especially the main point of this study is to estimate the effect of climate condition(clear & rainy) and spray type(batch & flow) for the evaporation rate of swine slurry applying the NES in summer. Experiment was performed from June to August, which was generally regarded as summer in Korea, with the spray type of batch in 2000 and that of flow in 2001. As a result of experiment for batch and flow type, the averaged evaporation rate was measured into 2.71 and 3.59 l/ton . $m^2$ . day on clear days and 0.62 and 0.66 l/ton . $m^2$ . day on raint days, respectively. Based on the calculated evaporation rate by the climate condition and the spray type, it was proved that the averaged reduction rate for total input(1t/day) were 15.99% and 3.19% on clear and rainy days and the evaporation rate of the flow type was superior to that of the batch type by 5%, approximately. Therefore, it was concluded that the supplementary equipment, such as fan, should by operated in rainy days and the spray type of flow rather than that of batch should be recommended to increase the evaporation rate in the natural evaporation system(NES).

To determine the adequate levels of light intensity and $CO_2$ concentration for mango grown in greenhouses, quantitative measurements of photosynthetic rates at various leaf positions in the tree are required. The objective of this study was to develop two-variable leaf photosynthetic models of Irwin mango (Mangifera indica L. cv. Irwin) using light intensity and $CO_2$ concentration at different leaf positions. Leaf photosynthetic rates at different positions (top, middle, and bottom) were measured by a leaf photosynthesis analyzer at light intensities (0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 600, and $800{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$) with $CO_2$ concentrations (100, 400, 800, 1200, and $1600{\mu}mol{\cdot}mol^{-1}$). The two-variable model consisted of the two leaf photosynthetic models expressed as negative exponential functions for light intensity and $CO_2$ concentrations, respectively. The photosynthetic rates of top leaves were saturated at a light intensity of $400{\mu}mol{\cdot}^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, while those of middle and bottom leaves saturated at $200{\mu}mol{\cdot}^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. The leaf photosynthetic rates did not reach the saturation point at a $CO_2$ concentration of $1600imolmol^{-1}$. In validation of the model, the estimated photosynthetic rates at top and bottom leaves showed better agreements with the measured ones than the middle leaves. It is expected that the optimal conditions of light intensity and $CO_2$ concentration can be determined for maximizing photosynthetic rates of Irwin mango grown in greenhouses by using the two-variable model.

Background: The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) published a new staging system ($7^{th}$ edition) in 2009. In our study, we evaluated the survival results and prognostic factors among T4 local advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC) patients in a large heterogeneous group, in accordance with this new system. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the files of 122 T4 N0-3 M0 LA-NSCLC patients, identified according to the new staging system, treated at two centers between November 2003 and June 2012. Variables correlating with univariate survival at p<0.20 were later included in multivariate Cox regression analysis. Here, selection of relevant predictors of survival was carried out in accordance with the likelihood ratio formula with p<0.05 regarded as significant. Results: The median age was 60 and the median follow-up period was 17.4 months. Median overall survival (OS) was 18.3 months, the 1 year overall survival (OS) rate was 72%, and the 5 year OS rate was 28%. Statistically significant predictors of survival were (p<0.20) ECOG-PS (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status), age, T4 factor subgroup, stage and primary treatment in OS univariate analysis. On multivariate analysis for OS ECOG-PS (p=0.001), diagnostic stage (p=0.021), and primary treatment (p=0.004) were significant. In the group receiving non-curative treatment, the median OS was 11.0 months, while it was 19.0 months in the definitive RT group and 26.6 months in the curative treatment group. There was a significant difference between the non-curative group and the groups which had definitive RT and curative operations (respectively p<0.001 and p=0.001) in terms of OS, but not between the groups which had definitive RT and curative operations. The median event free survival (EFS) rate was 9.9 months, with rates of 46% and 19% at 3 and 5 years, respectively. On univariate analysis of EFS rate with ECOG-PS, weight loss and staging, statistical significance was found only for thorax computerized tomography (CT)+18F-fluorodeoxy-glucose positron emission tomography-CT (PET-CT) use, stage and primary treatment (p<0.20). In multivariate analysis with EFS, only the primary treatment was statistically significant (p=0.001). In the group receiving non-curative treatment, the median EFS was 10.5 months while in the curative operation group it was 14.7 months. When all the primary treatment groups were taken into consideration, grade III/IV side effect swas observed in 57 patients (46.6%). Esophagitis was most prominent among those that received definitive radiotherapy. Conclusions: Independent prognostic factors among these 122 heterogeneous LA-NSCLC T4 N0-3 M0 patients were age at diagnosis, ECOG-PS, stage and primary treatment, the last also being a significant prognostic indicator of EFS. Our findings point to the importance of appropriate staging and a multidisciplinary approach with modern imaging methods in this patient group. In those with T4 lesions, treatment selection and the effective use of curative potential should be the most important goal of clinical care.

제 5 장 계약 해지 및 이용 제한
제 15 조 (계약 해지)

제 16 조 (서비스 이용제한)
① 당 사이트는 회원이 서비스 이용내용에 있어서 본 약관 제 11조 내용을 위반하거나, 다음 각 호에 해당하는
경우 서비스 이용을 제한할 수 있습니다.
- 2년 이상 서비스를 이용한 적이 없는 경우
- 기타 정상적인 서비스 운영에 방해가 될 경우
② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
