The current study examined the causal relations among sustainable luxury campaigns' message framing types (negative vs. positive), sustainable brand image and perceived consumer effectiveness. The study tested the moderation of perceived brand luxury about the message framing types, sustainable brand image, and perceived consumer effectiveness. An online survey adopting luxury product is conducted with a total of 194 Korean consumers, testing the hypotheses. In the results, the message framing type is found to significantly affect perceived consumer effectiveness but not sustainable brand image. Perceived brand luxury significantly negatively moderates the relationship between the message framing type and perceived consumer effectiveness but not between the type and sustainable brand image. The results supported the positive influence of perceived consumer effectiveness on sustainable brand image. The moderation of perceived brand luxury was confirmed only for the relationship between the message framing type and perceived consumer effectiveness. The results empirically confirm that the message frame of luxury marketing could positively affect consumers' attitude formation, such as perceived consumer effectiveness, which is consistent with previous studies' research results. The results document that luxury brands using a negative message frame type had a more significant effect on perceived consumer effectiveness than the positive frame type. The findings contribute to the literature of new media-based sustainable marketing of luxury products as to how it affects consumers' brand evaluation and purchase intention, focusing on the causal relationships among the message-framing type of sustainable luxury marketing, sustainable brand image, and perceived consumer effectiveness. Given the increasing pursuit of sustainability in the luxury industry, the results contribute to deriving implications for sustainable marketing of efficient luxury brands.
With the increasing popularization of low-priced luxury markets, maintaining the genuine values of luxury has become crucial for luxury fashion brands to attract customers who want exclusivity and rarity. The world-leading luxury fashion houses have employed a variety of experiential marketing strategies like special order product strategies and mobile SNS promotion strategies, yet little research exists on there the strategies actually positively impact brand luxury images and customer attitudes towards the brand. This study empirically analyzed the effects of customer experience of special order products on perceived brand luxury and brand relationship. Furthermore, the study also tested relationships among perceived brand luxury, brand relationship, and brand loyalty. A survey was conducted with Korean female consumers who had purchase experiences of special order products from the brands. We analyzed the data of MTO-experienced respondents due to the lack of respondents who had experienced custom-made product services. The result indicates the significant effect of experience of MTO on brand relationship; however, we found only a partial support for the effect of MTO on brand luxury. Likewise, we found a partial support for the effect of mobile SNS promotion strategies on perceived brand luxury versus full support for the effect on brand relationship.

The recent entry and heated competition of numerous fashion brands in the luxury fashion market have all compelled luxury businesses to change. The issue of brand equity has emerged as one of the most critical areas for luxury marketing management. Despite strong interest in the subject, there is little evidence of how brand equity is created by marketing activities and what their effects are. This study identifies the effects of luxury marketing activities on the brand equity of luxury items, utilizing Keller's (2001) 'CBBE (Customer Based Brand Equity) Model' as a theoretical framework. Based on literature review, a conceptual model for brand signature, heritage, premium price, controlled distribution, and promotion on customers' view on brand equity was tested. To test the hypothesized building paths of luxury brand equity, statistical analysis were performed with an AMOS 7.0 program using a confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model. The results were: First, luxury brand equity was defined in terms of four components (brand awareness/association, customer judgment, customer feeling, and customer-brand resonance). Second, the proposed conceptual framework of this study was partially significant. We can provide an effectiveness of Keller's CBBE model to conceptualize the building process of luxury brand equity; subsequently, marketers should develop core elements to position a brand strategy to create a competitive advantage.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of luxury brand value on luxury brand preferences according to chemyon(social-face). For data collection, research questionnaires were responded by 222 females over 20 years old consumers living in Pusan and Ulsan. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 14.0 for windows Package by frequency analysis, the factor analysis using Varimax, reliability analysis, multi-regression analysis, and chow-test. The results of this study were as follows: First, concerning the worth of luxury brands that qualify value, conspicuous value, unique value, and emotional value significantly affected the consumers' luxury brand preferences. On the other hand, only social value of the luxury brand did not have a significant effect on the consumers luxury brand preferences. Second, the study was to investigate whether the luxury brand value has an effect on the brand preferences according the consumer's chemyon or not. The results showed different effects of perceived values on luxury brand preferences between the low chemyon group and the high chemyon group. The high chemyon group had an effect on conspicuous value, social value, and emotional value, while the low chemyon group had an effect on quality value for luxury brand preference.

Recently, the luxury brand market has expanded from the 5060 market to the 2030 market segment due to diversification of distribution channels, an increase in income, and changes in consumption values. This change is attributed to the increase in sales of fashion accessory products, such as bags and wallets, thereby confirming the importance of the luxury brand fashion accessories market. However, there are few studies of the luxury brand fashion accessories market or brand loyalty for fashion accessories, which accounts for a large proportion of the overall luxury brand market. The purpose of this study was to develop and empirically test a theoretical framework that captures and compares the difference of impact of service quality, product attributes, and consumer satisfaction on luxury brand loyalty between the 20-30 market and the 5060 market of the fashion accessories market. Data was collected from 598 customers who purchased luxury brand fashion accessories by objective sampling. Structural equation modelling was used to test the hypotheses developed for the study. Results found evident effects of consumer satisfaction on luxury brand loyalty through the perception of service quality by consumers. Additionally, in the 2030 market, the fashion accessory attributes had little impact on consumer satisfaction and luxury brand loyalty, whereas in the 5060 market, it had a significant impact only on consumer satisfaction, but not on luxury brand loyalty. This is the first study to examine a structural equation model of luxury brand loyalty to compare the difference of the model between segmented markets, such as the 2030 market and the 5060 market of the luxury brand fashion accessories market. These results will contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism that underlie the operation of an effective luxury branding strategy for fashion accessories.
As new luxury brands are becoming more popular, recent new luxury consumers are showing different tendencies of consumption. The purpose of this study is to investigates the specific bond between the product benefits for new luxury fashion brand and the consumer-brand relationship. Specifically this study conceptualizes the dual path which leads to brand loyalty and brand commitment. 300 data from on-line survey were collected from middle class women who had trading up needs and respondents were asked to select their favorable new luxury fashion brand. As a result of an exploratory factor analysis to identify the structural dimensions of product benefit for new luxury brand groups, four factors were extracted; psychological/emotional benefits, social/symbolic benefits, self-expressive benefits, and product functional benefit. Additional results show that brand attitude had more positive effect on brand loyalty and brand attachment had more positive effect on brand commitment. The findings of this study contribute to provide practical implication on market segmentation for new luxury brands.
Despite the increasing recognition of the value of emotions and younger consumers in luxury market segments, little research has focused on the role consumer characteristics and emotions play in younger consumers' commitment to luxury brands. Drawing on the identity-motivation model and the idea of self-construal, this study identifies the contributing factors of younger consumers' commitment to luxury fashion brands. Specifically, this study examines the role of consumer characteristics (i.e., self-construal), the self-expressiveness of brands, and emotional factors (i.e., brand love and brand attachment) in developing consumer-brand relationships. The proposed model was tested with college students in the U.S., which supplied a representative group of younger consumers of luxury fashion brands. The data were collected using web-based surveys and analyzed using structural equation modeling method. The results showed that consumers who were characterized with interdependent self-construal had positive perceptions of self-expressive luxury fashion brands. Furthermore, the perception of self-expressive brands promotes the consumers' brand love of and brand attachmentto luxury fashion brands. Also, while both improved brand commitment, brand attachment had a greater impact on brand commitment than brand love. This study contributes to the literature by identifying driving forces of younger consumers' brand commitment. It also provides managerial implications for luxury fashion brands.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the signification system between logo and brand image systematically in imported fashion luxury brands through semiotic approach. For this purpose, 29 luxury brands were selected from 3 department stores. According to the visual characters of logo, the types of logo used in the imported fashion luxury brands were classified into three types and the results of this study were following : First, the luxury brands used the brand logo in common that represent the name of founder or fashion designer to deliver the character of company's own brand and to emphasize the spirit of a craftsman. Second, the luxury brands also used the brand logo that design the brand initial in symmetry of the right and left or top and bottom to emphasize a unique spirit of the brand. Third, the luxury brands used the brand logo that represent or symbolize a specific animal or object to express the special quality of the brand in descriptive type. Forth, the luxury brands used the most frequently black color in brand logo that symbolize a perfection, immortality and solemnity, etc.

In the past 10 years, the luxury goods market growth has significantly outpaced other consumer goods categories. Its market value exceeded US $1.2 trillion globally in 2018. In response to this significant consumer demand, the product portfolio of luxury brands has been modified, as several products that previously were exclusive have now released lower-priced versions. This phenomenon is called new luxury. These new luxury products, however, have caused the democratization of the luxury that threatens the exclusivity of luxury brands. In this circumstance, luxury consumers are becoming disillusioned with the vulgarization of luxury goods and prefer exclusive luxury experiences. In order to keep pace with the changes in the luxury consumer needs and promote the brand image with a creative and luxurious connotation, luxury brands are increasingly associating with contemporary art through diverse channels. However, there is a lack of theoretical research investigating the main points to be considered when applying contemporary art to luxury brands and attempting effective brand communication. Therefore, this study aims to provide insights into the key issues for luxury brands when applying contemporary art for effective brand communication. An in-depth case study with the luxury fashion brand, Louis Vuitton, was carried out to better understand contemporary art applications and obtain analytical insights. Through the research, key insights were identified as follows: 1) setting a clear objective for art application based on an in-depth understanding for both the art and the luxury brand, 2) sending harmonized and coherent messages from all perspectives by using a variety of different communication channels, 3) providing a meaningful customer experience by considering the characteristics of contemporary art.
