메덱스 척추강화운동 프로그램이 만성 요통 노인 환자들의 요부 신전 근력에 미치는 영향 (The effect of MedX exercise program on lumbar extensor strength in the elderly with chronic LBP)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the lumbar extensor strength between before exercise and after 8 weeks exercise in the elderly. To evaluate lumbar extensor strength of total 18 patients (above 59 age) with low back pain or have experienced surgical operation. Lumbar extensor strength was measured in 8 male patients and 10 female patients (9 op group and 9 non-op group) by Medx lumbar extension machine. The data were analyzed with paired t-test compared to muscle strength, with repeated measured ANOVA compared to amount increase of muscle strength, using SPSS ver. 10.0 program. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There were significantly increased total lumbar extension strength was appear $6918.7{\pm}2802.77$ft-lbs in before exercise, $10432.83{\pm}2802.773397.1$ft-lbs in after 8 weeks exercise (p<. 05). 2. There were significantly increased total lumbar extension strength was increased to compared before exercise with after 8 weeks exercise in sex (p<. 05), op/non-op group (p<. 05).

Effects of Lumbar Stabilization Exercise with Kinesio Taping on Pain, Muscle Strength, and Oswestry Disability Index in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects lumbar stabilization exercise with kinesio taping on pain, muscle strength, and oswestry disability index (ODI) in patients with chronic low back pain. Design: Two groups pre-post randomized controlled design Methods: Thirty-two subjects were randomly divided in two groups; 1) lumbar stabilization exercise with kinesio taping group (Experimental group, n=16), 2) lumbar stabilization exercise with sham kinesio taping group (Control group, n=16). The intervention was conducted in each group for thirty minutes a day, 5 times a week, for 4 weeks. Both group did 30 minutes of lumbar stabilization application. Evaluations were performed before the commencement of training and again 4 weeks after training was initiated. Visual analog scale (VAS) was used to evaluate pain level of patients with chronic low back pain. Distal muscle test was used to evaluate muscle strength of trunk extension. In addition, ODI was used to evaluate activity daily life of low back pain. Results: After training, the VAS, muscle strength of trunk extension and ODI were significantly more improvement in Experimental group than in the control group (p<0.05). Conclusions: We confirmed that the effects of lumbar stabilization exercise with kinesio taping group on pain, muscle strength, and ODI in patients with chronic low back pain.

  • Purpose: this study was conducted on female university students in supine position and preformed the 2 bridge positions exercises, which are the bridge position exercise and the bridge exercise preformed with form rollers attached between their knees, in order to research the effects lumbar stabilization exercise has on lower extremity muscular strength. Method: In order for the participants to fully understand the topic and procedures of the experiment, they were given a 20 minutes of briefing and practice before the experiment. Result: Bridge exercise group and foam roller group were improved the knee flexion and extension strength. Conclusion: This research studied the difference of each lumbar stabilization positions and the effects they have on the fortification of the leg's flexion extension muscular strength, and by comparing which different exercise methods increase muscular strength the most works to plan a more optimal exercise method for lumbar stabilization.

  • Background: We developed a novel integrative lumbar stabilization technique that combines lumbar extension (LE) exercise with abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) to ameliorate low back pain (LBP) associated with neuromuscular imbalance and instability, based on the collective evidence of contemporary spinal rehabilitation. Objects: The specific aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of LE exercise with and without ADIM on core muscle strength, lumbar spinal instability, and pain, as well as functional characteristics in individuals with LBP using advanced radiographic imaging techniques. Methods: patients with mechanical LBP (N = 40, 6 males; $35.1{\pm}7.6years$) were recruited and randomly assigned either to the combined LE and ADIM (experimental group) or the LE alone (control group). Outcome measures included the visual analog scale, the modified Oswestry Disability Index, muscle strength imbalance (MSI), and radiographic imaging. The lumbar intervertebral displacement (LID), intervertebral (IV) and total lumbar extension (TLE) angles were calculated to evaluate the lumbar segmental instability. Results: The experimental group showed significant differences in the L3-L4, L5-S1 LIDs, L4-L5 and L5-S1 IV angles, and TLE angle as compared to the controls (p<.05). Immediate pain reduction and muscle strength imbalance ratio were significantly different between the groups (p<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the addition of ADIM significantly increased lumbar spinal stabilization in individuals with LBP, thereby reducing pain associated with functional lumbar flexion during daily activities.

건강성인에서 고관절 각도와 기립근 테이핑이 요부신전력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Effects of the Hip Angles and Kinesio-taping on Lumbar extension strength in healthy adults)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고관절 굴곡각도와 키네시오 테이핑이 요부신전력에 미치는 영향에 대한 효과를 보기위한 것이다. 건강한 40명의 참가자(남성: 20명, 여성: 20명)을 대상으로 하였다. $0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$, $40^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $80^{\circ}$의 고관절 굴곡상태에서 요부신전력 측정기를 사용하여 신전력을 측정하였다. 요부신전력의 측정 및 비교를 위해 독립표본 t-검정, 대응표본 t-검정, 상관분석과 ANOVA를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 요부신전력을 가장 크게 발휘한 고관절 굴곡 각도는 남성 $40^{\circ}$, 여성 $40^{\circ}$로 나타났다. 둘째, 테이핑 후에 요부신전력의 통계학적 변화가 나타난 것은 남성에서 $80^{\circ}$를 제외한 모든 각도($0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$, $40^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $80^{\circ}$)에서 나타났다. 이런 결과들은 배부근력이 들기 작업 시에 고관절 굴곡각도와 키네시오 테이핑에 의해 영향을 받는다고 할 수 있다.

12주 등장성 운동이 여성노인 요통환자의 요부 안정화 비율 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of 12 week Isotonic Exercise to Change Stabilization Ratio of Elderly Female Low Back Pain Patients)

  • This study is that the elderly female patients having low back pain(34 people) show a change of stabilization ratio after isotonic rehabilitation of 4 types(before exercise, after 4weeks, 8weeks, 12weeks). Under the cover of lumbar extension machine, isometric extension strength and stabilization ratio is measured and analyzed at some flexion angles(the degree of $0^{\circ}$, $12^{\circ}$, $24^{\circ}$, $36^{\circ}$, $48^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $72^{\circ}$). The conclusion is as follows. 1. The maximum lumbar extension strength at a range of 7 angles have an increase of 73.92% in case of 12weeks isotonic exercise(p<.001). 2. After 12weeks exercise, the lumbar flexion angle maximum extension strength, have an higher increase than 54% on the average at all angles(p<.001). These statistically show a meaningful increase of muscular strength. 3. After 12weeks isotonic exercise, the lumbar stabilization ratio have a decrease of 50.27% at a statistically meaningful level(p<.001). In case of 12weeks exercise comparing with 8weeks, the stabilization ratio decrease at the level of 1.85 versus 1. This figure is similar to that of a normal person. In view of this study, 12weeks exercise for the elderly female patients having low back pain has much influence on the change of lumbar stabilization ratio and this is the scientifically verified result of a long term exercise.

미세 현미경 레이저 요추 디스크 절제술 환자의 요부안정화운동과 SEBT 트레이닝이 등척성 요부근력과 동적균형능력, 관절가동범위에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Lumbar Stabilizing Exercise SEBT Training on Isometric Lumbar Strength, Dynamic Balance Ability and Range of Motion in Open Laser Lumbar Microdisectomy Patients)

  • 본 연구는 미세 현미경 레이저 요추 디스크 절제술을 시행한 환자를 대상으로 기존의 전통적 재활플그램인 요부 안정화 운동에 SEBT 프로그램을 적용한 재활운동이 등척성 요부근력과 동적균형능력 그리고 관절가동범위에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 규명하고자 실시되었다. 연구대상자는 미세 현미경 레이저 요추 디스크 절제술을 받은 후 6주간 보존적 치료를 받은 환자 14명을 대상으로, 요부안정화운동(Lumbar Stabilizing Exercise Group, LSG, n=7)과 SEBT+요부안정화운동그룹(SEBT Exercise +Lumbar Stabilizing Exercise Group, SLSG, n=7)을 8주간 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과에서, 요부의 등척성 근력 비율(72°와 0°)은 LSG(p=.007)와 SLSG(p=.024) 모두 유의하게 감소하였으며 동적균형능력을 검사하기 위한 Y-balance test의 세 방향 도달 거리에 대한 결과는 SLSG와 LSG의 모든 방향에서 유의한 증가를 보였고 동적균형 능력은 좌측(LSG, p=.010; SLSG, p=.002)과 우측(LSG, p=.002; SLSG, p=.002) 모두 유의하게 증가하였다. 또한 관절가동범위는 LSG(p=.006)와 SLSG(p=.017) 두 집단 모두에서 유의하게 증가하였다. 이상의 결과에서 8주간의 재활운동 후, 전통적인 요부안정화 운동과 요부안정화운동에 SEBT프로그램을 추가한 재활운동 모두 등척성 요부근력과 동적균형능력 그리고 관절가동범위에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났으며 이후에 SEBT 프로그램만의 효과를 검증하는 후속연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구는 중년여성 40명을 대상으로 운동군 20명, 통제군 20명으로 구성하여 12주간의 슬링운동프로그램이 중년여성의 요부근력 및 균형능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아봄으로써 요부근력과 균형능력 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 운동 프로그램인지 규명하기 위한 연구이며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 운동집단과 통제집단의 요부근력 측정결과 운동집단의 요부근력은 12주후 모든 각도에서 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었고, 통제집단은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 2. 운동집단과 통제집단의 균형능력 측정결과 운동집단은 동요 면적(Sway Area), 동요 거리(Sway Distance), 최대 동요속도(Maximal Sway Speed) 모두 12주후 통계적으로 유의한 향상을 보였으며, 통제집단은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다.

  • 본 증례는 약 8 주간의 운동치료와 스트레칭 프로그램의 운용으로 요통의 감소와 함께 요부근력의 상승을 가져왔다. 환자 관리에 유용한 입원 치료를 통하여 타 연구에 비해 뛰어난 요부근력의 향상을 보였는데 이는 일정 기간 내에서 환자 관리에 따라서 요부 근력의 상승정도를 높일 수 있음을 보여준다고 생각된다. 추나치료, 침구치료 등이 미치는 영향에 대해서 일일이 제한을 두지 않았고 이러한 한방치료의 병행 자체가 미치는 영향에 대하여서는 보다 많은 case 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

  • In this study, the muscle strength and endurance of the lumbar at flexion and extension were determined using an isokinetic muscle strength meter (Biodex) in patients with chronic lumbar go (10 male and 10 females), and the changes in muscle strength and endurance of the lumbar at flexion and extension after application of Y-shaped sacrospinalis muscle taping, typically used for patient with lumbar go, were studied. In addition, the sacrospinalis muscle taping of a different shape (I-shaped taping) was applied bilaterally centering on the spine, and the muscle strength and endurance of the lumbar at flexion and extension were determined and compared with those before taping. In addition, the results after application of Y-shaped taping and I-shaped taping were also compared. 1. The extensor muscle strength of the lumbar at loading of $60^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and after application of Y-shaped taping showed the level of significance (p<.05). The flexor muscle strength of the lumbar at loading of $60^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio taping and after application of Y-shaped taping did not show the level of significance. 2. The flexor muscle endurance of the lumbar at loading of $90^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and application of Y-shaped taping did not show the level of significance. The extensor muscle endurance of the lumbar at loading of $90^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and after application of Y-shaped taping did not show the level of significance. 3. The extensor muscle strength of the lumbar at loading of $60^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and after application of I-shaped taping showed the level of significance (p<.05). The flexor muscle strength of the lumbar at loading of $60^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and after application of I-shaped taping showed the level of significance (p<.05). 4. The flexor muscle endurance of the lumbar at loading of $90^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio taping and after application of I-shaped taping showed the level of significance. The extensor muscle strength of the lumbar at loading of $90^{\circ}$/sec before application of kinesio Taping and after application of I-shaped taping showed the level of significance (p<.05). 5.
