A Study on the Lot-Sizing Rules with the Dynamic Safety Stocks (동적 안전재고를 고려한 롯트량 결정 기법에 관한 연구)

  • The determination of lot sizes in prevailing inventory problems has been made with constant safety stock over the planning horizon. But, it is more profitable to accommodate the safety stock to dynamically fluctuating demands. The objective of this paper is to study the method to determine the dynamic safety stock and lot sizing rules depending on the actual customer demands. The last period or highly fluctuating period during the consumption of a lot is the most critical one to stock-out. It means that such periods must be given more attentions. Some dynamic methods to control safety stock are proposed with viewpoints of the time, quantity, and time-quantity. Simulation results show that lot sizing methods with dynamic safety stock reduce about 10% of average total cost compared to those with constant safety stock.

  • Aged apartments lack parking space and are suffering from severe parking difficulties due to the increase in the supply of private cars due to the economic improvement. Efficient remodeling technology is required as a way to solve the problem of a shortage of parking spaces, but there is a lack of establishing a technology for remodeling plans that can reflect the characteristics of various parks. This study was conducted to analyze the functions of the parking lot expansion technology using the technology tree and to derive the final technology through the function deployment. As a result of functional deployment of the plan to expand the parking lot, the fifth function was deployed and a total of 22 technologies were derived. Four types of technologies are categorized, four technologies for underground expansion, 12 technologies for underground and ground expansion, two technologies for ground expansion, and four technologies for ground-based expansion. As a result of the functional deployment of the main entrance plan, the fifth function was deployed and derived with 22 technologies. The total technologies were grouped into four categories, four technologies for direct underground entry, 11 technologies for indirect underground entry, three technologies for direct access to ground, and four technologies for indirect entry to ground. Through case verification, the detailed technologies applied to the semi-industrial complex of remodeling were identified and expert surveys and interviews were conducted to verify the adequacy of the technology tree.

  • Cracks are caused by drying shrinkage between the upper part of the underground parking lot and the apartment wall. As a result of the investigation, the distance between the apartment and the apartment is more than 45m, and the top slab of the underground parking lot is usually flat when there is not with steps. Therefore, the crack occurs more when the underground parking lot is a PC slab than a RC slab. In this study, the reduction of cracks was conducted by extending the slab, expanding the beam size, increasing the wall thickness, and installing a delay joint on slab. In each case, a finite element analysis was performed to examine the crack reduction method.

  • This study presents a column generation approach for multiple product dynamic lot-sizing problem. The basic idea of this approach is to have a master problem which allocates limited capacity among n different products and a sub-problem that performs the optimal lot sizing for each product subject to capacity allocation given by the master problem. In the sub-problem, we develop M/G/1 queuing model based clearing function which captures nonlinear relationship between the lot size, the work in process level and the throughput. A large number of test problems are randomly generated to evaluate the performance. Computational results show that the proposed model can find better solutions within reasonable CPU times.

  • In this paper, the ventilation characteristics of an underground parking lot with 17 buses has been investigated for two cases by computational fluid dynamics. It has been found that the average concentration of CO and $NO_x$ gas in the parking lot were 1.3 and 0.3 ppm respectively, when four buses operated. When the fifteen vehicles stopped in the parking lot, the average concentration of CO and $NO_x$ gas was 2.9 and 0.8 ppm respectively. The average concentration of two pollutants$(CO,\;NO_x)$ are lower than the standard values. Therefore the facilities and its location is proper to ventilation.

  • For the pleasant dwelling place, the most of apartments are designed with the increased green area ratio in ground space and the underground parking lot. However, the condensation in underground space has occasionally occurred due to the insufficient ventilation and insulation treatment. Despite reinforcement of the insulation treatment and mechanical ventilation for the preventing method of condensation. It seems difficult to expect preventing effects for the condensation without consideration of the thermal characteristic of structures. Furthermore, no fundamental measure has been established because maintenance work for these defects incurs a lot of costs and these defects could be occurred again. This study suggests a new method for preventing floor surface condensation through analyzing the reasons of condensation which occurred in the underground floor.

  • Planning distributed manufacturing logistics is one of main issues in supply chain management. This paper proposes a hybrid heuristic approach for the Multi-Level, multi-item Capacitated Lot Sizing Problem (MLCLSP) in supply chain network. MLCLSP corresponds to a mixed integer programming (MIP) problem. With integer variable solutions determined by heuristic search, this MIP problem becomes linear program (LP). By repeatedly solving the relaxed MIP problems with a heuristic search method in a hybrid manner, this proposed approach allocates finite manufacturing resources fur each distributed facilities and generates feasible production plans. Meta heuristic search algorithm is presented to solve the MIP problems. The experimental test evaluates the computational performance under a variety of problem scenarios.
