최적의 FEC 부호율 결정을 위한 정확한 채널손실 한계집합 추정기법 (An Accurate Estimation of Channel Loss Threshold Set for Optimal FEC Code Rate Decision)

  • 소스 부호 왜곡 모델 및 채널 유도 왜곡 모델 기반의 기존의 FEC 부호율 결정 기법들은 일반적으로 높은 계산 복잡도와 구현 비용을 요구하는 모델 파라메터 트레이닝 과정을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 모델링 과정을 피하기 위해서 최적의 FEC 부호율 결정을 위한 채널 손실 한계집합을 추정하기 위한 정확한 소스-채널 결합 왜곡 모델을 제안한다.

  • The Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) in railway applications is largely due to doing the power conversion for traction and Auxiliary system on the Highspeed Electric Multiple Unit-400X(HEMU-400X). In order to research on EMI in railway applications, it were included how much the HEMU-400X generates it and it has an effect on the equipments of electric system which resulted from Power Line Disturbance (PLD) phenomenon by the loss of contact during its running. In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated. The analysis of the loss of contact based on Power Simulator program software is performed to develop power line disturbance model suitable for high speed operation. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system.

  • This study evaluated the effect of the accidents caused by fire, explosion, and toxic gas release by using SuperChems, quantitative hazardous material release modeling software, which estimates the potential area of damage. According to the loss severity, the appropriate risk management principles can be applied. Risk management is divided into the two methods which are risk control and risk financing. Risk control includes risk avoidance, risk spreading and diversification, and risk reduction. Risk financing includes risk retention and risk transfer. The results of this study can help the related company determine the appropriate reserve fund and the amount to be insured against the third party losses according to the estimated loss severity.

  • In the design and analysis of electric machines the precise calculation of iron loss has incredible significance. It is tough to foresee iron losses precisely in machines due to distribution of non sinusoidal flux density. It is necessary to approximate the iron losses for the precise computation of efficiency. This paper presents a novel approach for the prediction of iron losses of the brushless dc (BLDC) motors by considering the effects of minor hysteresis loops in the simplified model. The novel iron loss model results are compared with the simplified model and with finite element method (FEM).

선형터빈 익렬의 익단간극유동에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical simulation of tip clearance flows through linear turbine cascades)

  • Three-dimensional turbulent incompressible flow through the tip clearance of a linear turbine rotor cascade with high turning angle has been analyzed numerically. As a preliminary study to predict the tip clearance loss realistically, a generalized k-.epsilon. model derived by RNG (renormalized group) method is used for the modeling of Reynolds stresses to account for the strain rate of turbulent flow. The effects of the tip clearance flow on the passage vortex, the total pressure loss are considered qualitatively. The existences of vena contract and tip clearance vortex have been confirmed and it has been shown that as the size of the tip clearance increases, the accumulated flow through the tip clearance and the total pressure loss downstream of the cascade increase.

  • 본 논문은 송수신 데이터의 보안을 위한 향상된 2차원 FEC기법의 성능에 관하여 제안한다. 이를 위해 기존 2차원 FEC 기법의 전체 패킷 손실률의 확률을 분석하고 2차원 FEC 기법의 문제점을 분석해서 길버트 모델링을 이용하여 개선된 2차원 FEC기법을 수학적으로 모델링하고, 전체 패킷 손실을 줄일 수 있는 향상된 2차원 FEC기법을 연구하였다.

  • In this work, current-voltage characteristics with time of NPT(Non-PunchThrough) IGBT is proposed during turn-on and turn-off by using analytical method. From the results, power loss at turn-off dominates the total electrical loss with respect to that at turn-on. The results have been compared with those of PSPICE and show the identical trend of power loss with each other.

  • This paper deals with the efficiency evaluations in a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) using a coupled transient finite element method (FEM) and Preisach modeling, which is Presented to analyze the characteristics under the effect of saturation and hysteresis loss. The focus of this paper is the efficiency evaluation relative to hysteresis loss, copper loss, etc. on the basis of speed, load condition in a SynRM. Computer simulation and experimental result for the efficiency using dynamometer show the propriety of the proposed method.
