장기간의 지구성 운동 또는 저항성 운동이 중년 흰쥐의 골격근 내 단백질 동화 및 이화기전에 미치는 영향 (The effects of long term endurance or resistance exercise training on anabolic and catabolic pathway in skeletal muscle of middle-aged rats)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 장기간의 지구성 운동 또는 저항성 운동이 중년 흰쥐의 골격근 내 단백질 합성과 분해에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 50 주령의 male Wistar rat 30 마리를 이용하여 3집단(좌업, 지구성 운동집단, 저항성 운동집단)으로 무선배정한 후 12 주간 처치를 실시하였다. 연구결과 12주간의 저항성운동은 중년 쥐의 족저근 내 Akt/mTOR 신호전달체계를 활성화시켰고, FoxO1/MuRF1 단백질 발현을 저해하였다. 지구성 운동은 mTOR 신호전달체계에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나 FoxO1/MuRF1 단백질 발현을 저해하였고, AMPK/PGC-1α 발현을 증가시켰다. 요약하면 12주간의 운동트레이닝은 중년 흰쥐의 골격근 내 단백질 동화/이화반응에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 지구성 운동은 근단백질 이화반응의 저해를 통해서 노화근육의 단백질 균형에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해서 근 손실에 따른 근 기능의 저하가 가시화되기 시작하는 중년을 대상으로 실시되는 운동처방 시 근 감소증 예방 및 치료를 위해 저항성 운동만이 아니라 중강도 이상의 지구성 운동도 유효할 것으로 생각된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국항공대학교에서 설계 및 개발한 태양광 무인기인 KAU-SPUAV의 시스템을 소개하고 비행시험을 통하여 성능을 검증하였다. 두 가지 버전의 태양광 무인기의 제원과 전장 구성 그리고 지상 관제 시스템을 소개하였다. 제시한 시스템으로 전파맵 구축, 제주도 해안선 일주 그리고 장기 체공 비행의 세 가지 임무 비행을 수행하였다. 각 임무는 태양광 무인기의 특성을 이용하는 비행으로서 주로 장시간 및 장거리 임무로 구성되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 태양광 무인기의 장기체공 능력을 이용해 다양한 임무에 사용될 수 있음을 보였다. 비행 시험 결과를 기반으로 시스템 추가 개선을 통하여 성능 향상을 도모할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In the present study, the preliminary study on a small solar-powered RC airplane are performed for the development of a long-endurance solar-powered UAV. Solar energy enables the solar-powered UAV to fly longer or eternally. The solar-powered UAV transfers the solar energy to electric energy and this energy is used for the flight and the battery charge. To increase the flying time, the efficiency of the solar-cell power system must be increased and the required power for flight must be minimized. Hence, the system integration including solar cell and controller, the power system design, and the aerodynamic and structural designs of the UAV is very important. The present study have performed the design, manufacture, and flight test of the small solar-powered UAV for the preliminary study of the long-endurance solar-powered UAV. From this study, the system integration technology of the solar-powered UAV design is established, and the possibility and the issue points for the development of the long-endurance solar-powered UAV are discussed.

일회성 탈진운동과 장기간 지구성 트레이닝이 심장근의 Mn-SOD, HSP70 및 PPAR-γ 단백질 발현에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Acute Exhaustive Exercise and Long-term Endurance Exercise Training on the Protein Expression of Mn-SOD, HSP70 and PPAR-γ in the Heart of rats)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether two different exercises, acute exhaustive exercise and long-term endurance exercise training could affect to the expression of Mn-SOD, HSP70, and PPAR-γ protein in myocardium. The Wistar-Kyoto rats(n=24, 4 weeks) were used and randomly divided into 3 groups; endurance exercise training group (EET, n=8), acute exhaustive exercise group (AEE, n=8) or control group (CON, n=8). EET performed treadmill exercise for 12 weeks (5 days/week, 30~60 min/day). AEE exercised treadmill running (speed increased gradually to 14-26 m/min, 60 min ±10min) until exhausted when EET finished the program. Then, all the rats were sacrificed 48 hours rest at least after the last session of their own exercise program. Hearts were isolated and then the expression of Mn-SOD, HSP70, and PPAR-γ were analyzed by western blotting. One-way repeated ANOVA was used and p value under 0.05 was considered as statistical significance. The results were followed as; the expression of Mn-SOD of AEE was decreased compared with CON. However, the expression of Mn-SOD of EET was increased compared with CON. There was significant difference between AEE and EET in the expression of Mn-SOD. The expressions of HSP70 and PPAR-γ in the both AEE and EET were significantly increased compared with CON. In conclusion, acute exhaustive exercise might induce oxidative stress wheres endurance exercise training could ameliorate the oxidative conditions by increase of Mn-SOD, HSP70, and PPAR-γ. Therefore, we suggested that endurance exercise training could enhance the complementary antioxidant system and improve to prevent apoptosis. Further, a long-term moderat aerobic exercise program might play a important role in mitochondrial biogenesis in the heart.

  • Endurance test procedures of multipurpose tactical vehicle is constructed by comparing the Korea defence standard and TOP-2-2-506. The plan was to make the best reflect the operational environment and the actual production purposes. Endurance test of multipurpose tactical vehicle more stringent than the existing other military vehicles validation procedures. But the test plan, it is possible to reduce the cost and schedule of long verification that occurs because of the Endurance test. Through a comparison of the dynamic characteristic analysis, change of test center was to ensure the reliability and validity.

  • Numerical optimization method of long endurance airfoil has been performed with a RSM(Response Surface Method) for smart UAV wing design. For the base line airfoil, NACA 64621 airfoil was selected and optimized to satisfy long endurance condition for smart UAV Aerodynamic coefficients required for RSM are obtained by using 2-D Navier-Stokes solver with Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model. The optimized airfoil showed increased maximum lift and endurance factors together with reasonable thickness ratio.

  • In the stratosphere, the air is stable and a photovoltaic (PV) system can produce more solar energy compared to in the atmosphere. If unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) fly in the stratosphere, the flight stability and efficiency of the mission are improved. On the other hand, the weakened lift force of the UAV due to the rarefied atmosphere can require more power for lift according to the weight and/or wing area of the UAV. To solve this problem, it is necessary to minimize the weight of the aircraft and improve the performance of the power system. A regenerative fuel cell (RFC) consisting of a fuel cell (FC) and water electrolysis (WE) combined PV power system has been investigated as a good alterative because of its higher specific energy. The WE system produces hydrogen and oxygen, providing extra energy beyond the energy generated by the PV system in the daytime, and then saves the gases in tanks. The FC system supplies the required power to the UAV at night, so the additional fuel supply to the UAV is not needed anymore. The specific energy of RFC systems is higher than that of Li-ion battery systems, so they have less weight than batteries that supply the same energy to the UAV. In this paper, for a stratospheric long-endurance hybrid UAV based on an RFC system, three major design factors (UAV weight, wing area and performance of WE) affecting the ability of long-term flight were determined and a simulation-based feasibility study was performed. The effects of the three design factors were analyzed as the flight time increased, and acceptable values of the factors for long endurance were found. As a result, the long-endurance of the target UAV was possible when the values were under 350 kg, above 150 m2 and under 80 kWh/kg H2.

  • 장기체공 소형 무인기 실용화를 위해서는 연료소비율이 우수한 엔진 개발이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 4행정 글로우 플러그 엔진을 가솔린 엔진으로 개조하였다. 고공에서의 엔진 성능예측에 필요한 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발을 위하여 지상에서 엔진 성능을 측정하였다. 측정결과 고속에서 윤활부족으로 인하여 엔진 마찰력이 급격히 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 지상 시험결과를 토대로 개발된 엔진성능 예측 프로그램에 의하면 고도가 상승할수록 연료소비율이 악화되는데 이는 윤활부족에 의한 마찰력 손실은 고도에 관계없이 거의 일정하기 때문이다.

근전도 power spectrum을 이용한 만성근육동통 환자에 있어서의 저작근 피로에 관한 연구 (EMG Power Spectral Analysis on Masticatory Muscle Fatigue in Chronic Muscle Pain Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare differences in endurance time and EMG power spectral characteristics of the masticatory muscles during sustained isometric contraction between patients and controls. 15 CMD patients{8 women and 7 men, aged 15 to 38 years(24.1$\pm$7.5)}, and 15 healthy volunteers{8 women and 7 men, aged 15 to 30 years(24.7$\pm$3.4)} without past history or present symptoms of CMD were included in this study. Sustained isometric contractions of masticatory muscles were perfomeed as long as possible at 50% level of maximum voluntary contraction(MVC) of EMG activity via visual feedback, and the duration of sustained isometric contraction(endurance time) was examined. The author perfomed EMG power spectral analysis in the myoelectric signals of masseter and anterior temporal muscle during sustained isometric contraction in CMD patients with chronic muscle pain and healthy controls. The author came to following conclusions from the results. 1. The endurance time of the patient group was shorter than the control group in sustained isometric contraction of masticatory muscles(p<0.01). 2. MF values of masticatory muscles with sustained isometric contraction during endurance time were decreased following regression line in both groups(p<0.01, r>0.9). 3. The amount of MF shift to lower frequency range exhibited no significant differences between the patients and the control group in sustained isometric contraction during endurance time. 4. SMF to lower frequency range of the patient group was steeper than the control group in sustained isometric contraction during endurance time(p<0.05).

중고도-장기체공 무인비행을 위한 비행체 성능 분석 및 역설계 (Reverse-Engineering and Analysis of Performance for Medium-Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중고도-장기체공 무인기의 성능을 역설계를 통해 분석하는 것이며, 역설계를 위한 모델로 RQ-1 Predator를 선정하였다. CATIA 프로그램을 사용하여 RQ-1 Predator의 외형에 대한 형상과 중량 분포를 생성하였다. RQ-1 Predator의 공력특성은 주로 와류격자법과 경험식을 조합하여 수행하였으며, 추진 성능은 Howe의 경험식을 통해 수행되었다. 상승률, 실용상승한도, 항속 거리, 그리고 체공 시간에 대한 역설계를 수행하였으며, 역설계 결과가 참고문헌과 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.
