The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristic of radiation environment in the urban and rural through the field observation in the summer. The radiation balance was compared through the measurement of the shortwave radiation and long-wave radiation in the urban, sub-urban, and rural. The following conclusion could be obtained from this research. (1) In the results of observation including the rain-day, it was found that the short wave radiance in the urban is lower about 10% than the rural. (2) The upper part of atmosphere layers in the urban area absorb much short wave radiation energies compared with the rural relatively. It can increase the temperature of the upper part of atmosphere layers and the emittance of long wave radiation. (3) The ratio of the downward short wave radiation to the downward long wave radiation was 1.24 for the urban, 1.28 for sub-urban and1.35 for rural. It can be estimated that the atmosphere condition of the rural is better than that of other areas.

An Area Radiation Monitoring System (ARMS) ionization chamber, which had an 11.8 L active volume, was fabricated and performance-tested at KAERI. Low leakage currents, linearities at low and high dose rates were achieved from performance tests. The correlation coefficients between the ionization currents and the dose rates are 1 at high dose rate and 0.99 at low dose rate. In this study, an integration-type ARMS ionization chamber was tested over a year for an evaluation of its long-term stability at a radioisotope (RI) repository of the Young-gwang nuclear power plant. The standard deviation of dose rate of 1 day data and over a 100-days mean value were 6.2 $\mu$R/h and 2.9 $\mu$R/h, respectively. The fabricated ARMS ionization chamber showed stable performance from the results of the long-term tests. Design and performance characteristics of the fabricated ionization chamber for the ARMS from performance-tests are also addressed.
In order to determine the susceptible age of Enterobius vermicular is to anthelmintics and to observe the chronologie growth of female E. vermicularis in man, experimental infections were done. About 500 eggs were challenged to 19 volunteers. After 4, 8, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 35 days of infection, each case was treated by either mebendazole or pyrantel pamoate. On the 40th day of infection all cases including control were treated again to terminate the experimental infection and to evaluate the effect of previous treatment. Each case collected 3-day stools to harvest the expelled worms. The results could be summarized as follows: 1. The infection rates of females were in range of 0.6~13.1 % in control cases. Because the collected worms showed comparable growth and development by day, the worms were concluded to be derived from experimental infection. 2. Cases that were treated with mebendazole on 4, 8 and 16 days after infection expelled 37.5%, 2.5% and 67.5% of the number expelled by a control case on the 40th day. Cases treated thereafter expelled no worms on the 40th day. 3. Cases that were treated with pyrantcl pamoates on 4, 8, 16, 24, 28, 32 and 35 days, expelled 90.7%, 25%, 45.3%, 8%, 2.7%, 5% and 29.3% of the number collected from control cases in respect. 4. All the worms collected were females. The total body length increased consistently and comparably from the 20th day of infection. Those collected on the 20th day were 2.5~3.0 mm long with vagina, sac-like structure and strands of ovaries; 24 day-old worms may have short uterus, 28 day-old worms had long uterus without eggs, 32 day-old worms began to produce eggs, 35 day-old worms showed wide variations in egg deposit in uterus, and 40 day-old worms had uterus filled with eggs from vulva to anal levels. From the above results, it was inferred that the life span of female Enterobius vermicularis was longer than 40 days, and the developmental stages of worms younger than 16 days resisted considerably to both mebendazole and pyrantel pamoate.

This study was conducted with the purpose of suggesting alternatives for the efficient operation of senior day care facilities in 22 cities and counties in the Jeonnam region by analyzing the efficiency of senior day care facilities. The analysis data for the study used the National Health Insurance Corporation's long-term care insurance for the elderly (2022), the Input variables were the number of facilities, the number of workers, the number of affordable, and the number of senior long-term care insurance recipients and the Output variables were the the number of users. As a result of the analysis, CCR was most efficient in Goheung-gun, Gokseong-gun, Gwangyang-si, Boseong-gun, Yeongam-gun, and Jindo-gun, BCC was most efficient in Goheung-gun, Gokseong-gun, Gwangyang-si, Gurye-gun, Damyang-gun, Boseong-gun, and Jindo-gun, and SE was most efficient in that order: Jindo-gun, Gokseong-gun, and Gwangyang-si. It turned out to be a super efficient area. In the contribution analysis, the number of affordable and workers variables were found to be variables that had a large impact on efficiency contribution. In the improvement potential analysis, the number of facilities variable was found to be a variable that had a significant impact on efficiency. Therefore, for the efficient operation of senior day care facilities, we suggest adjusting supply and demand, such as the number of facilities and affordable, and suggest that training programs to strengthen the expertise of workers who contribute greatly are required.
Sildenafil citrate (SIL) a phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor (PDE5I) has been used for long time as a first line oral drug for erectile dysfunction. Though it has beneficial effects on erectile organ it also has some adverse effects in other cells and/or tissues related to reproductive system when exposed to longer duration. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the long term effect of SIL on sperm parameters in Wistar albino rat. The animals are divided into two groups, for group I - rats were treated with saline (vehicle alone) and group - II oral administration of 5 mg/kg b.w. of SIL was administrated orally once in a day for 120 days. At the end of the trial period animals were sacrificed and epididymal sperm were subjected to various analysis. Results showed significant reduction in sperm count, motility, viability and morphologically intact sperm in long term PDE5I exposed animals when compared to control. Acrosomal status and fertility test also showed significant reduction in long term PDE5I exposed animals. The present study clearly indicated that long term SIL has shown to induce alteration in sperm quality and quantity, leading to decline in fertility rate. Indicate that SIL impinge on spermatogenesis as well as epididymal function. Understanding the molecular down-stream events involved in long-term exposure to PDE5 inhibitor can be valuable to supervise on related infertility issues and to suggest corrective measures.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to compare the oral health related characteristics between a long-term patients and general population. Methods: A direct interview questionnaire was completed by 160 patients and 165 general people from January 16 to April 31, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, subjective health status, oral health behaviors, and needs of oral health. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The long-term patients reported that most of them were denture wearers(38.1%), and had oral disease symptoms(62.5%) and xerostomia(65.6%). Most of the long-term patients were ex-smoker(31.3%) and did not receive regular dental check-up(92.5%). They did not know tooth brushing method(31.3%) and brushed their teeth less than twice a day(47.5%). Those who used tooth brush for more than 6 months accounted for 47.5%. Most of them did not use auxiliary oral hygiene devices(85.6%). The patients answered that oral health is not important(6.9%), oral health education is not necessary(7.5%), and oral cleaning(26.3%) should be included in oral health education. Conclusions: The self-reported oral health status of the long-term patients much more serious than the general population. It is necessary to educate the continuing oral health management program for the long-term patients.

Anaerobic mesophilic batch test of several organic wastes were carried out by a graphical statistic analysis (GSA) to evaluate their ultimate biodegradability and two distinctive decay rates ($k_1$ and $k_2$) with their corresponding degradable substrate fractions ($S_1$ and $S_2$). Each 3 L batch reactor was operated for more than 100 days at the substrate to inoculum ratio (S/I) of 0.5 as an initial total volatile solids (TVS) mass basis. Their Ultimate biodegradabilities were obtained respectively as follow; 69% swine waste, 45% dairy cow manure, 66% slaughterhouse waste, 79% food waste, 87% food waste leachate, 68% primary sludge and 39% waste activated sludge. The readily biodegradable fraction of 89% ($S_1$) of Swine Waste BVS ($S_o$) degraded with in the initial 31 days with $k_1$ of $0.116day^{-1}$, where as the rest 11% slowly biodegradable fraction ($S_2$) of BVS degraded for more than 100 days with the long term batch reaction rates ($k_2$) of $0.004day^{-1}$. For the Food Waste and Waste Activated Sludge, their readily biodegradable portions ($S_1$) appeared 89% and 80%, which degrades with $k_1$ of $0.195day^{-1}$ and $0.054day^{-1}$ for an initial 15 days and 28 days, respectively. Their corresponding long term batch reaction rates ($k_2$) were $0.003day^{-1}$ and $0.002day^{-1}$. Results from other organic wastes are addressed in this paper. The theoretical hydraulic retention times (HRTs) of anaerobic digesters treating organic wastes are easily determined by the analysis of multiple decay rate coefficients ($k_1$ and $k_2$) and their corresponding biodegradable substrate fractions ($S_1$ and $S_2$).

Sesame is typically a temperature- and day length-sensitive plant, as its flowering is promoted under high temperature and shorter day length conditions. The experiment carried out in the present study revealed that day length influenced sesame flowering to a much greater extent than temperature. The degree of day length influence differed depending on the sesame variety. Days from sowing to flowering was negatively correlated with yield-related characteristics such as stem length, capsule number per plant, 1,000 seed weight, and seed weight per 10a. In cases where the period from sowing to flowering was longer and flowering date was later, the reproductive growth period was shorter during maturity. Analysis of the effects of temperature and day length on seed yield production revealed that temperature was a much more influential factor than day length. However, day length was more influential than temperature under low temperatures, such as 22℃. All varieties apart from Ansan were shown to be primarily influenced by temperature. Sesame varieties were grouped in view of optimal seed sowing time through principal components analysis. The Poongsung and Sungboon varieties favored early sowing under low temperatures and short day lengths. The DT45, Poongsung, 90 days, Ansan, and Sungboon varieties favored late sowing under high temperatures and long day lengths. The Yangbaek and Arum varieties could be sown both early and late.
Natural degradation of grounding-electrode in soil environment should be monitored for several decades to predict the lifetime of the grounding electrode for efficient application and management. However, long-term studies for such electrodes have many practical limitations. The conventional accelerated corrosion test is unsuitable for such studies because simulated soil corrosion process cannot represent the actual soil environment. A preliminary experiment of accelerated corrosion test was conducted using existing test standards. The accelerated corrosion test that reflects the actual soil environment has been developed to evaluate corrosion performances of grounding-electrodes in a short period. Several test conditions with different chamber temperatures and salt spray were used to imitate actual field conditions based on ASTM B162, ASTM B117, and ISO 14993 standards. Accelerated degradation specimens of copper-bonded electrodes were made by the facile method and their corrosion performances were investigated. Their corrosion rates were calculated to $0.042{\mu}m/day$, $0.316{\mu}m/day$, and $0.11{\mu}m/day$, respectively. These results indicate that accelerated deterioration of grounding materials can be determined in a short period by using cyclic test condition with salt spray temperature of $50^{\circ}C$.
The purpose of study examined of historical changes of western men's nightclothes from middle ages to the modern ages and analyzed functions and features of men's nightclothes. This study presented meaning and importance of men's nightclothes. The method of study researched the many literatures and internet sources. Until medieval age, men slept naked or in a day-shirt. In the 16th century, a nightshirt was worn in bed. A night-cap was usual, in rather more elaborate form, also worn by day in the house, and even outdoors. In the 17th century, nightshirt was elabrated with ruffles and lace. The nightshirts of 18th century, resembled the day-shirt except that it was slightly longer and fuller in cut. The turn of 19th century, men weared nightshirt with a high folding collar, one button and night-cap of jellybag shape. In the early 19th century, nightshirt had a plain turned-down collar, buttoned at the neck. A night-cap with colored tassel was usual. The middle of 19th century, a nightgown was reaching to the ankle. Pyjamas, in the 1890s, were steadily replacing the nightshirt, before long pyjamas had become generally accepted in place of the nightshirt. A pyjamas which preseverved his male dignity by giving him trousers. Man's ingenuity also modified his nigntclothes so that these took on sexual characteristic. In 20th century, the fabrics had become lighter in weight, and the choice of materials wider. By 1930s, nightclothes had become the man's most colorful garment.
