This study was conducted to identify the location characteristics of infected farms in the areas where livestock diseases were clustered(southern Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do), analyze the probability of disease occurrence in poultry farms, find out the areas corresponding to the conditions, and use them as the basis for prevention of livestock diseases, selection of discriminatory prevention zones, and establishment of prevention strategies and as the basic data for complementary measures. The increase of one poultry farm within a radius of 3-kilometers increases the risk of HPAI infection by 10.9% compared to the previous situation. The increase of 1m in distance from major roads with two lanes or more reduces the probability of HPAI infection by 0.001% compared to the previous situation. If the distance of the poultry farm located with 15 kilometers from a major migratory bird habitat increases by 15 to 30 kilometers, the chance of infection with HPAI is reduced by 46.0%. And if the distance of the same poultry farm increase by more than 30 kilometers, the chances of HPAI infection are reduced by 88.5%. Based on the results of logistic regression, the predicted probability was generated and the actual area of the location condition with 'more than 15 poultry farms within 3km a radius of, within 1km distance from major roads, and within 30km distance from major migratory birds habitat was determined and the infection rate was measured. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as basic data for preparing the data and supplementary measures when the quarantine authorities establish discriminatory quarantine areas and prevention strategies, such as preventive measures for the target areas and farms, or control of vehicles, by identifying the areas where livestock diseases are likely to occur in the region.
The indices to choose the object countries for developing overseas industrial park were developed and applied in this paper. The results are showing as follows. First, the Korean enterprises are branched out into total 128 countries as of the first quarter of 2010, and the 13 asian countries including China, Vietnam, Japan, and Hongkong shows the majority of precedence 20 countries among the reported during 1980-2010. Second, the 3 steps of selecting the principal region to branch out, establishing assessment indices and criteria, and choosing strategical target counties were developed to choose the countries for developing overseas industrial park. The 38 of 128 countries were selected where the GDP per capita is lower than Korea, and the local reports of incorporation during 2007-2010 are more than 10 times. Then, the 10 countries were excluded where the minimum wages during 2008-2009 are similar to Korean ($815/month). Consequently, the 28 countries including China, Vietnam, and Cambodia etc. were selected as the major target regions. Third, the indices to choose countries for developing overseas industrial park are classified into 5 categories-investment condition, labor market flexibility, potential market demand, population, changing rate of the reported number of manufacturing industry, and detailed indices for each category were selected, then the weight were given with the consideration of importance. Finally, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan were selected as the strategical target counties where acquire the high score in labor market flexibility and investment condition, relatively undeveloped, and friendly to Korea.
The objectives of the present study were to find out the differences in growth and weed competition of rice under the foggy and non-foggy condition, and finally, the fundamental data for the establishment of the paddy weed control system under the locational foggy regions. The research was carried out on tin trays ($0.12m^2$) in greenhouse equipped with an Auto Foggy System(SAE KI RTN Co.). The results are summarized as follows: Exp. I. Difference in rice growth under the foggy and non-foggy condition. 1. While the plant height was not affected, the number of tillers was decreased by the foggy condition. The ratio of the number of effective tiller, however, became higher under the foggy condition. 2. Due to the fog present, the heading rate was decreased and heading time was delayed. 3. The foggy condition did not affect the dry weight of rice straw whether they were grown under the foggy or non-foggy condition. However, yield components such as the number of ears, the number of grains per ear, thousand kernel weight and percentage of ripeness were reduced. Particularly, weights of perfect brown and unpolished rice were also decreased. Exp. II. Effect of the duration of competition between weed and rice grown under the foggy condition on the growth of rice plant. 1. There was no difference in the height of rice grown under a different duration of competition. There was a clear tendency that the number of tillers of rice grown under the foggy condition was decreased as the duration of competition was decreased. 2. When the duration of competition was longer than 60 days, the heading rate was decreased and the initiation of heading was also delayed by 2-4 days. 3. Under the foggy condition, the duration of competition for more than 40 days affected dry weight of rice straw and the difference in yield was greatest in the non-competition and competition for more than 40 days.

In this study, GPR and lineament methods are used for the effective construction. GPR method is non-destructive testing to understand underground utility tunnel while lineament method is to understand locational environment. First, soil condition of the subject area is surveyed by location analysis. As the result of GPR survey, small-scale and large-scale of underground utility tunnel's location and scale were estimated. From the result of estimation, it is found that the main cause of underground utility tunnel's generation was not the effect of landslide or disturbed foundation from the excavation work but crack of shear & tension from the effect of fault movement which grew by insulation surroundings. From now on, this investigation method would be very useful in the survey and design stage on site for the effective construction and maintenance.
In this study, drought Severity-affected Area-drought Duration (SAD) curves are analyzed in order to examine temporal and spatial behavior of drought. A copulas-based joint drought index which is studied recently is applied to express the severity of drought. JDIs across the country with 60 points are calculated monthly basis, and using EOF and Kriging techniques, locational JDIs are spatially extended into gridbased JDIs with spatial resolution of $10{\times}10$ km. JDIs by lattice is analyzed by drought duration and by affected area, and JDI-based SAD curves are created to represent Korean historical drought events. Though created curves, drought events that occurred in the past in our country can be spatially and temporally characterized. In addition, curves are expected to contribute to determine the exact situation on the current drought condition have an impact to some extent.
This study investigates supply patterns and residential characteristics of the Urban-type Housing in Seoul. There have been 3,336 buildings and 71,790 housing units approved until the end of 2012. One-room apartments and small units less than 30 $m^2$ of residential area amount to 81% and 82% of total units, respectively. Major findings are as follows. First, single- and two-person households less than 30 years of age are mostly lived in the housing. Respondents are mainly professional and white-collar (43%) and service and sales workers (27%). Most of them are mid-income classes (67%), which is twice more than that of single- and two-person households in Seoul. They pay 672 thousand won in rent more than average rent of mid-income class. The rent to income ratios are 29.9% for single households and 24.5% for two-person households, which are higher than that of mid-income bracket. Third, their satisfaction level is relatively high in internal environment and access to public service facilities, but not in external environment and community service facilities. They are satisfied with security and daylight, walking and safety, access to public transport and parking space, but not with noise and vibration, natural environment, access to park and cultural and sports facilities, and most community service facilities. It is necessary to reexamine the articles of deregulation and prepare design standards while considering different housing and locational types.
The goal of this research is to explore quantitative and residential features and spatial patterns of two-person households to suggest policy implications for housing supply and development in Seoul. Major findings of this study are as follows. First, the number of two-person households has increased rapidly mainly due to the growth of the elderly and single-parent households. They are mainly composed of the elderly over 60s and the youth of 30s of householder age. They are less likely to have well-paying jobs, and thus more likely to suffer from poverty. They are also inclined to live in rental and small-sized residential units and spatial segregation between the youth and the elderly became serious. In addition, their residential area can be classified into four types: area adjacent to employment centers, hinterland of urban centers, affordable multi-family housing area and redeveloped apartment area. It is necessary to change the current housing policy directions to take changing population and household structure into consideration. Also, diversified housing strategies and programs should be prepared to consider various household types and their needs and demands. Place-based strategies for housing supply and development are needed in consideration of spatial patterns and locational attributes of two-person households. Attention needs to be paid to resolving the social issue of residential segregation between different generations.
In modern society, buildings has become larger, more complex and high-rise by the influences of locational and environmental characteristics from the changes of human lifestyles. Such features of the buildings, however, make building management and maintenance more difficult, especially in the aspects of health, security, and safety, etc. In order to secure safety and comfort in dwelling, housing, and working condition, it is essential to establish systematic plans and practices. Thus with the aim of investigating general status of fire safety management on specific buildings, this study mainly analyzed fire prevention manager's awareness on their works by conducting a survey, and suggested required systematic improvements for efficient fire safety management. As a result of the survey, it is concluded that introducing the system to appoint fire prevention sub-managers will promote more professional and classified management conditions.
A GPS sensor is widely used in many areas such as navigation, or air traffic control. Particularly, the car navigation system is equipped with GPS sensor for locational information. However, when a car goes through a tunnel, forest, or built-up area, GPS receiver cannot get the enough number of satellite signals. In these situations, a GPS receiver does not reliably work. A GPS error can be formulated by sum of bias error and sensor noise. The bias error is generated by the geometric arrangement of satellites and sensor noise error is generated by the corrupted signal noise of receiver. To enhance GPS sensor accuracy, these two kinds of errors have to be removed. In this research, we make the road database which includes Road Database File (RDF). RDF includes road information such as road connection, road condition, coordinates of roads, lanes, and stop lines. Among the information, we use the stop line coordinates as a feature point to correct the GPS bias error. If the relative distance and angle of a stop line from a car are detected and the detected stop line can be associated with one of the stop lines in the database, we can measure the bias error and correct the car's location. To remove the other GPS error, sensor noise, the Kalman filter algorithm is used. Additionally, using the RDF, we can get the information of the road where the car belongs. It can be used to help the GPS correction algorithm or to give useful information to users.
Statement of problem: Currently, there are some 20 different geometric variations in implant/abutment interface available. The geometry is important because it is one of the primary determinants of joint strength, joint stability, locational and rotational stability. Purpose: As the effects of the various implant-abutment connections and the prosthesis height variation on stress distribution are not yet examined this study is to focus on the different types of implant-abutment connection and the prosthesis height using three dimensional finite element analysis. Material and method. The models were constructed with ITI, 3i TG, Bicon, Frialit-2 fixtures and solid abutment, TG post, Bicon post, EstheticBase abutment respectively. And the super structures were constructed as mandibular second premolar shapes with 8.5 mm, 11 mm, 13.5 mm of crown height. In each model, 244 N of vertical load and 244 N of $30^{\circ}$ oblique load were placed on the central pit of an occlusal surface. von Mises stresses were recorded and compared in the crowns, abutments, fixtures. Results: 1. Under the oblique loading, von Mises stresses were larger in the crown, abutment, fixture compared to the vertical loading condition. 2. The stresses were increased proportionally to the crown height under oblique loading but showed little differences with three different crown heights under vertical loading. 3. In the crown, the highest stress areas were loading points under vertical loading, and the finish lines under oblique loading. 4. Under the oblique loading, the higher stresses were located in the fixture/abutment interface of the Bicon and Frialit-2 systems compared to the ITI and TG systems. Conclusions: The stress distribution patterns of each implant-abutment system had difference among them and adequate crown height/implant ratio was important to reduce the stresses around the implants.
