진동 특성을 이용한 접합된 차량 구조의 BSR(Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) 소음 강건성 관측에 대한 실험연구 (Experimental study to investigate the structural integrity of welded vehicle structure for BSR (Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) noise by vibration measurement)

  • 차량 점용접 부위에서 BSR(Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) 소음 발생 가능성을 국부 진동을 사용하여 비파괴적으로 추정하는 진동기반 계측법을 제시한다. 용접부에 부착된 구조물에 의한 점용점 부위의 국부적인 진동을 유발하고 진동전달 특성을 파악한다. 관측된 진동 특성으로부터 국부 구조의 굽힘강성값을 도출하였다. 강성값의 변화로부터 점용접의 상태 강건성을 파악하였다. 제시되는 방법의 검증을 위해 부분적으로 용접품질이 변화된 시편을 제작하였다. 제작된 시편에서 계측된 진동 특성을 분석하였다. 용접 강건성에 의해 변화하는 특정 주파수 대역을 파악하였다. 구조별, 위치별 계측을 통해 제시된 방법으로 분별이 가능한지 검증하였다. 국부 진동 평가방법은 구조물의 용접 강건성을 생산 현장에서 파악하게 하는 평가방법으로써 BSR발생 가능성을 저감하기위한 생산 품질 확보에 사용될 수 있다.

지역 극좌표계를 이용한 임의 형상 자유단 평판의 자유진동해석을 위한 무요소법 개발 (Development of Meshless Method for Free Vibration Analysis of Arbitrarily Shaped Free Plates Using Local Polar Coordinates)

  • A new meshless method for obtaining natural frequencies of arbitrarily shaped plates with the free boundary condition is introduced in the paper. In order to improve the characteristics of convergence and accuracy of the method, a special local polar coordinates system is devised and located for each of nodes distributed along the boundary of the plate of interest. In addition, a new way of decreasing the size of the system matrix that gives natural frequencies of the plate is employed to reduce the amount of numerical calculations, which is needed for computing the determinant of the system matrix. Finally the excellence of the characteristics of convergence and accuracy of the method is shown in several case studies, which indicate that natural frequencies by the proposed method are very accurate and converged swiftly to exact values as the number of boundary nodes increases.

Porosity-dependent free vibration analysis of FG nanobeam using non-local shear deformation and energy principle

  • This work focuses on the behavior of non-local shear deformation beam theory for the vibration of functionally graded (FG) nanobeams with porosities that may occur inside the functionally graded materials (FG) during their fabrication, using the non-local differential constitutive relations of Eringen. For this purpose, the developed theory accounts for the higher-order variation of transverse shear strain through the depth of the nanobeam. The material properties of the FG nanobeam are assumed to vary in the thickness direction. The equations of motion are derived from Hamilton's principle. Analytical solutions are presented for a simply supported FG nanobeam with porosities. The validity of this theory is verified by comparing some of the present results with other higher-order theories reported in the literature, the influence of material parameters, the volume fraction of porosity and the thickness ratio on the behavior mechanical P-FGM beam are represented by numerical examples.

비수직 입사 비상관 지진파에 의한 원전 시설물의 지진 응답 (Earthquake Responses of Nuclear Facilities Subjected to Non-vertically Incidental and Incoherent Seismic Waves)

  • Based on the random-vibration-theory methodology, dynamic responses of nuclear facilities subjected to obliquely incidental and incoherent earthquake ground motions are calculated. The spectral power density functions of the 6-degree-of-freedom motions of a rigid foundation due to the incoherent ground motions are obtained with the local wave scattering and wave passage effects taken into consideration. The spectral power density function for the pseudo-acceleration of equipment installed on a structural floor is derived. The spectral acceleration of the equipment or the in-structure response spectrum is then estimated using the peak factors of random vibration. The approach is applied to nuclear power plant structures installed on half-spaces, and the reduction of high-frequency earthquake responses due to obliquely incident incoherent earthquake ground motions is examined. The influences of local wave scattering and wave passage effects are investigated for three half-spaces with different shear-wave velocities. When the shear-wave velocity is sufficiently large like hard rock, the local wave scattering significantly affects the reduction of the earthquake responses. In the cases of rock or soft rock, the earthquake responses of structures are further affected by the incident angles of seismic waves or the wave passage effects.

  • The interest in evaluation of structural intensity arises for practical reasons, because net energy flow distribution offers information of energy transmission path, positions of sources, and sinks of vibration energy. In this paper, structural intensity analysis of local ship structures using finite element method(FEM) is carried out. The purpose of this analysis is to evaluate the relative accuracy according to mesh fineness. The structural intensity of a stiffened plate varying their mesh fineness is analyzed and the results are compared with those obtained by the assumed made method. As results, the proper mesh size in qualitative/quantitative structural intensity analysis of plate structures is proposed. In addition, the propagation phenomenon of vibration energy is investigated for the L-type plate and box-girder structures.

  • Generally the excessive caused by isolated sources in localized to members closely located to the vibration sources. In this case it may not be economical to model the whole structure to obtain the responses of a specific member. In this study, a substructuring technique has been used for local vibration of a framed structure. The boundary conditions of members selected are determined by condensing the degrees of freedom of the remaining members. Fixed and hinged boundary condition are also assumed for comparison. According to the results, the substructuring technique is quite efficient in predicting the responses of a structure on which the vibration source in located, but is not very reliable for the members located for away from the source.

Analytical analysis for the forced vibration of CNT surrounding elastic medium including thermal effect using nonlocal Euler-Bernoulli theory

  • This article studies the free and forced vibrations of the carbon nanotubes CNTs embedded in an elastic medium including thermal and dynamic load effects based on nonlocal Euler-Bernoulli beam. A Winkler type elastic foundation is employed to model the interaction of carbon nanotube and the surrounding elastic medium. Influence of all parameters such as nonlocal small-scale effects, high temperature change, Winkler modulus parameter, vibration mode and aspect ratio of short carbon nanotubes on the vibration frequency are analyzed and discussed. The non-local Euler-Bernoulli beam model predicts lower resonance frequencies. The research work reveals the significance of the small-scale coefficient, the vibrational mode number, the elastic medium and the temperature change on the non-dimensional natural frequency.

어선의 갑판실의 진동 해석법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Analysis of a Deckhouse of Fishing Vessel)

  • For the deckhouse or superstructure, attention is directed to the reduction of vibration from a human susceptibility point of view. The two basic requirements for obtaining a low vibration level in the accommodation are to ensure that excitation forces from propeller and/or main engine are small and to avoid resonance excitation of the hull and superstructure. In recent years increased attention has been directed towards the problems of vibration and noise in deckhouse, which have caused major problems with regard to the environmental quality in the living quarters for crews. Accordingly, in this paper, the characteristic of the vibration of deckhouse of fishing boat, of which the length/height ratio is also relatively high, are studied systematically with regard to the shape and modelling of deckhouse based on finite element method of 1-dimensional, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional model. This study is divided into 4-part. 1st part is the global deckhouse vibration, 2nd part is the local deckhouse vibration, 3rd part consists of the estimation for stiffness of foundational support and 4th part is the application to TUNA LONG LINER of 416 ton class. For the global vibration analysis, the severity of the vibration depends on the longitudinal shear and bending stiffness of the deckhouse, on the vertical deckhouse support(fore, aft and sides). However, even if the design is technically sound, vibration problems may arise due to vertical or longitudinal hull girder or afterbody resonances. Author applied the method of this study to the analysis of, deep-sea fishing vessel of G.T. 416 ton class with relatively low height and long deckhouse, and investigated the vibrational characteristic of the fishing vessel with earlier structural feature. According to this investigation, the vibration, response of above vessel was confirmed of which main hull and deckhouse behave as one body. It is at the bottom of vibrational trouble which a accommodation part of the fishing vessel is raised, that is the local vibration for side wall, fore-aft wall and deck plate of deckhouse rather than thief fect of fore-aft vibration of deckhouse for above fishing vessel. and the resonance of main hull, deckhouse and driving system such as the main engine, propeller in exciting source is mainly brought up as the trouble.
