This study aims to establish a comprehensive database of wetlands using GIS in a historic conservation city Gongju City. The systemic data management would enable to identify distribution of wetlands and their ecological attributes, and to estimate the conservation value of the wetlands. The data base will be able to use in strategic way to preserve the local ecological areas for local residents and tourists and manage the quality of wetlands in the historic and conservation city. Second, the result of F-test(One Way ANOVA) for the average analysis by types showed that 3 out of 6 demands for the operation were significant differences and a supplementation necessity of the program was identified significant differences in p<0.01 level. The necessity of forestry resources use and sprawling development prevention are also showed significant differences among types in p<0.05 level. Third, F-test results from 7 questions of desired effects through mountain village creation project revealed that promotion and market security of forestry products and local patriotism instillation through a personal exchange are significant differences between types in p<0.05 level. Forth, the results of duplication benefits(the mountain village development projects and the village support programs with other departments) on the residents' development expectation found that when a village received a large number of projects, residents' expected effects were higher than other village residents where received relatively a small number of projects. However, the expected effects from the increasing quantities of projects were decreased.

  • This study is about apartment greening to improve urban environment. To achieve this, questionnaires concerning the planter preferences were distributed. To improve perpendicular greening methods for apartments, MOCT (The Ministry of Construction and Transportation) reformed the law to obligate constructors to make apartment planters in June, 2000. But apartment residents take negative attitudes to making green space. It is difficult to manage the planters as well, so it is necessary that the point at making green spaces at apartments be scrutinized through questionnaires and an active method for making and managing the planter be made. The results show that apartment residents are reluctant to pay the expenses for planting and managing planters and have negative attitudes about plant purchases. If planting and managing of simplified planters are continually entrusted to residents, even vertical landscapes will be affected by illegal diversion and negligence as a result. Therefore, support from governments and local administrations are needed and legal obligation should be imposed on construction companies to install irrigation facilities.

  • The study will first pay attention to the conflict between Kyoto Animation Co. and residents over establishing memorial facilities after the "Kyoto Animation 1st Studio arson and Murder Incident," which occurred in Kyoto, Japan on the morning of July 18, 2019. And through on-site coverage and review of related TV program "Summer of Prayer, Voice of the Holy Land" aired by Mainichi Broadcasting System on August 17, 2019. We reviewed what this conflict means by Japanese animation fans to set a "Holy Land" of specific regions and the resulting content tourism business model. The conflict between Kyoto Animation Co. and the residents resulted in a lengthy confrontation which did not get solved until late July 2020. It proves the cooperation of residents is essential for the success of content tourism, especially the cooperation model for development of Holy Land.
