유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 센서 디바이스 Plug & Play (Sensor Device Plug & Play for Ubiquitous Computing)

  • When mounting the sensor device in the way of Plug&Play, sensor device drivers need to be loaded and linked dynamically. Since a sensor node platform is based on small 8 bit MCU, dynamic loading and linking technique used in Windows and Linux can not be applied. In this paper, we present how to link and load dynamically sensor device drivers for sensor device Plug&Play. We implement a prototype and evaluate it to make sure that there is no performance degradation like sensor device driver connection speed and memory usage. Connection speed overhead increases to 0.2ms. Memory usage overhead increases to hundreds byte. It shows that there is no heavy influence in running the actual program.

Fuse Protection of IGBT Modules against Explosions

  • The demand for protection of power electronic application has during the last couple of vears increased regarding the high-power IGBT modules. Even with an active protection, a high power IGBT still has a risk of exhibiting a violent rupture in the case of a fault if IGBT Fuses do not protect it. By introducing fuses into the circuit this will increase the circuit inductance and slight inductance over-voltage during the turn-off of the diode and the IGBT. It is therefore vital when using fuses that the added inductance is kept at a minimum. This paper discuss three issues regarding the IGBT Fuse protection of adding inductance of existing High-speed and new Typower Fuse protection. First, the problem of adding inductance of exiting High-speed and new Typower Fuse DC-link circuit is treated, second a short discussion of protection of the IGBT module is done, and finally, the impect of the high frwquency loading on the currying capability of the fuses is presented.

자기유변유체를 이용한 회전 각속력 제어 (Control of Rotational Angular Speed using Magneto-rheological Fluid)

  • 본 연구에서는 가해지는 자기장에 따라 항복응력이 변하는 자기유변유체를 이용한 제동 장치를 개발하였다. 현재 선진국을 중심으로 활발히 연구되어지는 자기유변유체는, 유체에 가해지는 자기장의 변화에 따라 유체의 항복응력이 변하는데, 이러한 성질을 이용하여 제동력의 정확한 제어가 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 제동 장치를 이용하여, 외부에서 회전체에 가해지는 토크가 변동할 경우에 회전체의 회전 속력를 일정하게 유지시키는 기능을 구현하였다. 회전체의 회전속력을 측정하여, 비례-적분 피드백 제어를 사용하여 구현하였다. 우선, 실험과 시뮬레이션 결과의 비교를 통해 개발된 제동 장치의 매개변수값을 구하였고, 이 값들을 이용하여 비례-적분 피드백 제어 시뮬레이션 결과를 예측하였다. 또한 초기 각속력이 있는 자유낙하실험, 수동 크랭킹 실험들을 수행하여, 개발된 장치를 통하여 회전체의 회전속력을 일정하게 유지할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 속력 제한 기능은 개발된 제동 장치의 응용의 한 예로서, 회전체의 적절한 물리량을 측정한 후. 적절한 피드백 제어를 가하면, 얼마든지 원하는 다른 기능을 구현해 낼 수 있다.

  • Rail carrying structures in international routes as well as domestic ones shall be designed to carry HL(High Speed Railway live Load) loads, The loads shall be placed in the most unfavourable position for the part of the structure in question. In general, influence lines may be used to determine the maximum bending moments and maximum shear forces in the reinforced concrete rahmen bridge structures. In this study, based on the finite element analysis, equivalent distributed loads of HL loading for design of the rahmen bridges are deterimined.

Al/PC 접합재의 접착강도특성에 미치는 표면처리의 영향 (Effect of Surface Treatment on Adhesive Strength Properties of Al/PC Adhesive Joints)

  • The bonding of adhesive joints of adhesive joints is influenced by the surface roughness of the joining Parts. However, the magnitude of the influence has not yet been clarified because of the complexity of the phenomena. In this study, it is shown that surface treatment affects adhesive strength and durability of alumina/polycarbonate single-lap .joints, and leading speed affects tensile-shea strength of adhesive Joints. To evaluate effect of surface treatments on the adhesive strength, several surface treatment methods are used, that is, cleaning, grinding, SiC polishing and sand blasting. It is shown that an optimum value of the surface roughness exists with respect to the tensile-shea strength of adhesive joints. The adhesive strength shows linear relationship with the surface roughness and loading speed. And the mechanical removal of disturbing films of lubricants, impurities and oxides make adhesive strength increase significantly.

고속축중기 시스템의 도입을 위한 고기능 아스팔트 혼합물 및 에폭시의 내구성 평가 (Evaluating Rutting Performance of High-Durability Asphalt Concrete Mixtures and Epoxy Used for Installation of High-Speed Weigh-In-Motion System)

  • PURPOSES : In order to apply high-speed weigh-in-motion (HS WIM) systems to asphalt pavement, three high-durability asphalt concrete mixtures installed with a WIM epoxy are evaluated. METHODS : In this study, dynamic stability, number of loading repetitions to reach the rut depth of 1 mm, and rut depth measurements of three asphalt mixtures at $60^{\circ}C$ were compared using an Asphalt Pavement Analyzer (APA). Laboratory-fabricated material and field core samples were prepared and tested according to KS F2374. RESULTS : Through the laboratory tests, it was found that all three modified asphalt mixtures (stone-mastic, porous, and semi-rigid) with WIM epoxy showed favorable permanent deformation results and passed the dynamic stability criterion of 3000 loading repetitions per 1 mm. In addition, it was confirmed that the modified SMA mixtures cored from the field construction yields satisfactory rutting testing results using the APA. Finally, the epoxy used for the HS WIM installation shows good adhesion with the three asphalt mixtures and permanent deformation resistance.

3차원 수치해석을 통한 궤도지지말뚝의 동적거동 평가 (Evaluation of Dynamic Behavior for Pile-Supported Slab Track System by 3D Numerical Analysis)

  • Dynamic numerical simulation of pile-supported slab track system embedded in a soft soil and embankment was performed. 3D model was formulated in a time domain to consider the non-linearity of soil by utilizing FLAC 3D, which is a finite difference method program. Soil non-linearity was simulated by adopting the hysteric damping model and liner elements, which could consider soil-pile interface. The long period seismic loads, Hachinohe type strong motions, were applied for estimating seismic respose of the system, Parametric study was carried out by changing subsoil layer profile, embankment height and seismic loading conditions. The most of horizontal permanent displacement was initiated by slope failure. Increase of the embedded height and thickness of the soft soil layer leads increase of member forces of PHC piles; bending moment, and axial force. Finally, basic guidelines for designing pile-supported slab track system under seismic loading are recommended based on the analysis results.

차량속도에 따른 연성 포장의 최대인장변형률에 관한 연구 (A Study on Maximum Tensile Strain of Vehicle Speeds in Flexible Pavement)

  • This study presents a viscoelastic characterization of flexible pavement subjected to moving loads. A series of field tests have been conducted on three pavement sections (A2, A5, and A8) at the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) test road. The effect of vehicle speed on the responses of each test section was investigated at three speeds: 25km/hr, 50km/hr, and 80km/hr. During the test, both longitudinal and lateral strains were measured at the bottom of asphalt layers and in-situ measurements were compared with the results of finite element (FE) analyses. A commercial FE package was used to model each test section and a step loading approximation has been adopted to simulate the effect a moving vehicle. Field responses reveal the strain anisotropy (i.e., discrepancy between longitudinal and lateral strains) and the amplitude of strain normally decreases as the vehicle speed increases. In most cases, lateral strain was smaller than the longitudinal strain, and strain reduction was more significant in lateral direction.

Shear strength evaluation of RC solid piers of high-speed railway bridges in China

  • Piers are the main lateral force-resisting members of high-speed railway (HSR) bridges used in China and are characterized by low axial load ratios, low longitudinal reinforcement ratios, low stirrup ratios, and high shear span ratios. It is well known that flexural, flexural-shear, and shear failures of piers may occur during an earthquake. In this study, a new shear strength model was developed to simulate the seismic failure of HSR solid piers accurately. First, low cyclic-loading test data of solid piers obtained in recent years were collected to set up a database for model verification. Second, based on the test database, the applicability of existing shear strength models was evaluated. Finally, a new shear strength model for HSR solid piers with round-ended cross-sections was derived based on the truss model and ultimate equilibrium theory. In comparison with existing models, it was demonstrated that the proposed model could be used to predict the shear strength of HSR piers more accurately.
