콘크리트포장에서 하중전달효과 영향인자 연구 (A Study on Effect Factor of Load Transfer Efficiency in Concrete Pavement)

  • 콘크리트포장의 구조적 능력을 평가하는 가장 중요한 요소 중의 하나는 하중전달효과이다. 하중전달효과는 슬래브 상 하부 온도차, 다우월바 시공여부, 포장 노후도, 그리고 균열틈 등에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구의 목적은 콘크리트 포장의 하중전달효과 특성을 파악하고 하중전달효과에 영향을 주는 요소를 정량화하고 적절한 하중전달효과 조사방법을 제시하는 것이다. 연구결과 하중전달효과는 슬래브 표면온도가 아닌 슬래브 평균온도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 하중전달효과는 온도가 내려가고 균열틈이 벌어질수록 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 다우월바를 시공한 구간의 경우 온도변화에 따라 하중전달효과는 큰 차이를 보이지 않은 반면, 다우월바를 시공하지 않은 구간에서는 온도가 내려갈수록 하중전달효과는 급격히 감소하였다. 다우월바를 시공한 구간이라도 포장이 노후화되면 하중전달효과는 온도가 하락함에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 조사대상 구간에서는 슬래브 단위온도 하락시 하중전달효과는 1.4% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • As a result of study on factor affecting absorption efficiency using the structured packing, Mellapak N. 250Y for the chemical absorption of $CO_2$ that cause global warming due to development of industry, it is shown that Mellapak N. 250Y has lower pressure drop and superior efficiency of mass transfer than 25mm Pall ring. Also, in the absorption process, it produces high efficiency in the increase of load and concentration of absorption liquid and produces low efficiency in the increase of temperature. In the effect of overall mass transfer coefficient for 15% MEA on the temperature variation of absorbent, when absorbent temperature for 15% MEA varied as 25, 50, $80^{\circ}C$, overall mass transfer coefficients were shown as 0.83, 1.00, $0.90kmol/m^3-h-kPa$.

가스터빈 열병합발전 시스템의 설계점 설정 및 부분부하 성능해석 (Analysis of Design and Part Load Performance for gas Turbine Cogeneration Systems)

  • This paper presents some useful design criteria for the turbine cogeneration system through both the design and off-design analysis. Comparative analysis of the part load performance is carried out for several gas turbines which have different design parameters represented by the turbine inlet temperature and pressure ratio. It is shown that the variation in part load efficiency considerably depends on the design parameter. The off-design operation of the heat recovery steam generator is simulated by introducing adequate assumptions for the heat transfer process. It is turned out that the design parameters of heat recovery steam generator should be determined by considering the favorable operation at the off-design conditions.

초저온 액화가스 단일 모듈 기화기의 열변형 구조해석 (Structure Analysis on Thermal Deformation of Super Low Temperature Liquefied Gas One-module Vaporizer)

  • Liquefied gas vaporizer is a machine to vaporize liquefied gas such as liquid nitrogen($LN_{2}$), liquefied natural gas(LNG), liquid oxygen($LO_{2}$) etc. For the air type vaporizer, the frozen dew is created by temperature drop (below 273 K) on vaporizer surface. The layer of ice make a contractions on vaporizer. The structure analysis on the heat transfer was studied to see the effect of geometric parameters of the vaporizer, which are length 1000 mm of various type vaporizer. Structure analysis result such as temperature variation, thermal stress and thermal strain have high efficiency of heat emission as increase of thermal conductivity. As the result, Frist, With-fin model shows high temperature distribution better than without-fin on the temperature analysis. Second, Without-fin model shows double contractions better then with-fin model under the super low temperature load on the thermal strain analysis. Third, Vaporizer fin can be apply not only heat exchange but also a stiffener of structure. Finally, we confirm that All model vaporizer can be stand for sudden load change because of compressive yield stress shows within 280 MPa on thermal stress analysis.

  • Water electrolysis technology, which generates hydrogen using renewable energy resources, has recently attracted great attention. Especially, the polymer electrolyte membrane water electrolysis system has several advantages over other water electrolysis technologies, such as high efficiency, low operating temperature, and optimal operating point. Since research that analyzes performance characteristics using test bench have high cost and long test time, however, model based approach is very important. Therefore, in this study, a system model for water electrolysis dynamics of a polymer electrolyte membrane was developed based on MATLAB/Simulink®. The water electrolysis system developed in this study can take into account the heat and mass transfer characteristics in the cell with the load variation. In particular, the performance of the system according to the stack temperature control can be analyzed and evaluated. As a result, the developed water electrolysis system can analyze water pump dynamics and hydrogen generation according to temperature dynamics by reflecting the dynamics of temperature.

Vacuum Hot Pressing 조건이 $SiC_w$/2124AI 금속복합재료의 기계적 성질 및 미세구조에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Vacuum Hot Pressing Conditions on Mechanical Properties and Microstructures of $SiC_w$/2124Al Metal Matrix Composites)

  • The variation of the microstructures and the mechanical properties with varying vacuum hot pressing temperature and pressure was investigated in PyM processed 20 vol%) SiCw/ 2124Al composites. As increasing the vacuum hot pressing temperature, the aspect ratio of whiskers and density of composites increased due to the softening of 2124Al matrix with the increased amount of liquid phase. The tensile strength of composite increased with increasing vacuum hot pressing temperature up to $570^{\circ}C$ and became saturated above $570^{\circ}C$, To attain the high densification of composites above 99%, the vacuum hot pressing pressure was needed to be above 70 MPa. However, the higher vacuum hot pressing pressure above 70 MPa was not effective to increase the tensile strength due to the reduced aspect ratio of SiC whiskers from damage of whiskers during vacuum hot pressing. A phenomenological equation to predict the tensile strength of $SiC_w$/2124AI composite was proposed as a function including two microstructural parameters, i.e. density of composites and aspect ratio of whiskers. The tensile strength of $SiC_w$/2124AI were found more sensitive to the porosity than other P/M materials due to the higher stress concentration and reduced load transfer efficiency by the pores locating at whisker/matrix interfaces.

설비공학 분야의 최근 연구 동향 : 2016년 학회지 논문에 대한 종합적 고찰 (Recent Progress in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Research : A Review of Papers Published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering in 2016)

  • This article reviews the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering during 2016. It is intended to understand the status of current research in the areas of heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitation, and indoor environments of buildings and plant facilities. Conclusions are as follows. (1) The research works on the thermal and fluid engineering have been reviewed as groups of flow, heat and mass transfer, the reduction of pollutant exhaust gas, cooling and heating, the renewable energy system and the flow around buildings. CFD schemes were used more for all research areas. (2) Research works on heat transfer area have been reviewed in the categories of heat transfer characteristics, pool boiling and condensing heat transfer and industrial heat exchangers. Researches on heat transfer characteristics included the results of the long-term performance variation of the plate-type enthalpy exchange element made of paper, design optimization of an extruded-type cooling structure for reducing the weight of LED street lights, and hot plate welding of thermoplastic elastomer packing. In the area of pool boiling and condensing, the heat transfer characteristics of a finned-tube heat exchanger in a PCM (phase change material) thermal energy storage system, influence of flow boiling heat transfer on fouling phenomenon in nanofluids, and PCM at the simultaneous charging and discharging condition were studied. In the area of industrial heat exchangers, one-dimensional flow network model and porous-media model, and R245fa in a plate-shell heat exchanger were studied. (3) Various studies were published in the categories of refrigeration cycle, alternative refrigeration/energy system, system control. In the refrigeration cycle category, subjects include mobile cold storage heat exchanger, compressor reliability, indirect refrigeration system with $CO_2$ as secondary fluid, heat pump for fuel-cell vehicle, heat recovery from hybrid drier and heat exchangers with two-port and flat tubes. In the alternative refrigeration/energy system category, subjects include membrane module for dehumidification refrigeration, desiccant-assisted low-temperature drying, regenerative evaporative cooler and ejector-assisted multi-stage evaporation. In the system control category, subjects include multi-refrigeration system control, emergency cooling of data center and variable-speed compressor control. (4) In building mechanical system research fields, fifteenth studies were reported for achieving effective design of the mechanical systems, and also for maximizing the energy efficiency of buildings. The topics of the studies included energy performance, HVAC system, ventilation, renewable energies, etc. Proposed designs, performance tests using numerical methods and experiments provide useful information and key data which could be help for improving the energy efficiency of the buildings. (5) The field of architectural environment was mostly focused on indoor environment and building energy. The main researches of indoor environment were related to the analyses of indoor thermal environments controlled by portable cooler, the effects of outdoor wind pressure in airflow at high-rise buildings, window air tightness related to the filling piece shapes, stack effect in core type's office building and the development of a movable drawer-type light shelf with adjustable depth of the reflector. The subjects of building energy were worked on the energy consumption analysis in office building, the prediction of exit air temperature of horizontal geothermal heat exchanger, LS-SVM based modeling of hot water supply load for district heating system, the energy saving effect of ERV system using night purge control method and the effect of strengthened insulation level to the building heating and cooling load.

역학적-경험적 콘크리트 포장 줄눈간격 설계방법 개발 (Development of Mechanistic-empirical Joint Spacing Design Method for Concrete Pavements)

  • 온도와 습도 변화에 의해 수축될 경우 콘크리트 포장 슬래브에는 인장응력이 생기고 이로 인해 무작위 균열이 발생한다. 일정한 간격으로 줄눈을 설치하고 균열을 유도함으로써 슬래브에 발생하는 인장응력을 줄이고 무작위 균열을 최소화할 수 있다.줄눈간격이 너무 넓으면 무작위 균열, 줄눈부 파손, 하중전달률 저하가 일어나고, 반대로 줄눈간격이 너무 좁으면 공사비 증가와 승차감 저하가 유발된다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 포장의 역학적-경험적 줄눈간격 설계방법을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 우수한 공용성을 보이는 콘크리트 포장 구간 중 구조적 및 환경적으로 가장 취약한 구간을 찾고 그 구간에 대한 유한요소해석으로 설계기준강도를 결정하였다. 기존 연구결과를 참고하여 하중전달률이 급격히 낮아질 때의 줄눈폭을 허용줄눈폭으로 결정하였다. 유한요소해석으로 계산된 설계대상구간의 최대인장응력이 설계기준강도를 초과하지 않는 최대줄눈간격을 찾아냈다. 그리고 이 줄눈간격으로 예측된 최대줄눈폭을 허용줄눈폭과 비교하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 방법을 설계 중인 함양-울산 고속도로의 두 공구에 적용해 보았다. 기존보다 넓은 8.0m의 줄눈간격으로 시험시공된 구간과 동일한 줄눈간격이 본 연구의 설계방법으로 계산되었다. 공용 6년 후 측정된 시험시공 구간의 매우 낮은 균열률로 본 연구에서 개발된 설계방법이 검증되었다.

LTPP Data를 이용한 확률론적 줄눈폭 예측 모델 개발 (Development of a Probabilistic Joint Opening Model using the LTPP Data)

  • 줄눈 콘크리트포장의 줄눈폭의 크기는 인접한 슬래브의 온습도 변화에 따른 체적변형에 기인하여 발생하고 인접 슬래브 간 하중 전달율에 영향을 미치며 줄눈채움재의 설계를 위한 중요한 인자이다. 슬래브의 온도가 하강하거나 습도가 감소하면 줄눈폭은 증가며 일반적으로 최대 줄눈폭은 AASHTO Guide에서 제안된 식을 사용하여 예측하고 있다. 동일한 포장 구역 내에서도 각각의 줄눈별로 발생되는 줄눈폭의 크기가 상당한 차이를 보이고 있는 반면, AASHTO 줄눈폭 예측식은 동일 포장 구역 내에서는 각 줄눈들에서 동일한 줄눈폭이 발생한다는 가정을 갖고 개발되었다. 이러한 가정은 AASHTO 줄눈폭 예측식이 임의 포장구역 내에서의 줄눈폭의 평균값에 대한 예측만을 가능하게 하여 상당부분의 줄눈에 대해서는 과소평가를 초래한다는 단점을 갖게 한다. 이로인해 최대 줄눈폭이 과소평가된 줄눈에서는 줄눈채움재가 조기파손하고, 하중 전달율이 불량하여 단차가 발생할 소지가 높고, 수분의 하부침투 및 세골제등이 줄눈폭 사이에 침입하여 스폴링을 유발할 가능성이 높아진다. 이러한 파손들은 포장 설계시 고려되지 않기 때문에 계획된 포장 수명이 도달하기 전에 포장공용성이 저하되게 한다는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에선 다양한 줄눈콘크리트포장의 줄눈폭 모니터링 데이터를 포함하고 있는 LTPP SMP Data를 이용하여 임의 포장 내에서의 최대 줄눈폭의 크기가 어떤 분포양상을 나타내는지 고찰하고 줄눈폭이 과소평가되는 비율을 포장설계자가 선택할 수 있도록 하는 확률론적 줄눈폭 예측 모델을 개발하였다.
