한국인의 민간 항공기 소음에 대한 불쾌감 연구 (Community Annoyance from Civil Aircraft Noise in Korea)

  • Studies of community annoyance caused by civil aircraft noise exposure were carried out in fifteen areas near Gimpo and Gimhae international airports, Korea, to accumulate social survey data in Korea and to assess the relationship between aircraft noise level and degree of annoyance. Aircraft noise levels were measured automatically by airport noise monitoring system, B&K type 3597. A social survey was carried out people living within In meters of noise measurement points, as a rule. Questionnaires were only aggregated face-to-face interviews using various questions which concerned with demographic, degree of noise annoyance, interference with daily activities and health-related symptoms. The questions of noise annoyance were answered on an 11-point numerical scale. The respondents, from 18 to 70 years of age, were randomly selected and completed the questionnaire themselves. The total number of respondents for the questionnaires was 554.

교통소음과 컴퓨터 소음의 감성반응에 대한 연구 (Subjective Evaluation of Transportation and Computer Noise)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose indoor noise level in residential buildings affected by transportation noise (road traffic, railway and air-craft noise) based on subjective evaluations, 30 subjects participated in the experiment to evaluate the noise. Experimental environment reproduced real living and office environment, and in asking subjects' annoyance to the noise. An experiment to investigate the subjective responses to various computer noises (CD-Rom, HDD, Fan) in office environment was also undertaken. The Result shows that the lower limit of transportation noise is $40{\sim}41dB(A)$ and upper limit is $55{\sim}60dB(A)$, whereas the lower limit of various computer noises is $36{\sim}40dB(A)$ and upper limit is $45{\sim}52dB(A)$.

  • In these days, the people living in the urban suffer from the environmental noise because the number of cars increases in the city, and a lot of new industrial complex is made in the urban every year. But there is no suitable system for measurement and management of environmental noise. Therefore, in this research, a new system for the measurement and characteristic analysis, evaluation, management of environmental noise using Internet communication is developed. The system includes the environmental noise measurement equipment and the controller for the noise measurement and analysis, evaluation, management.

  • Train is one of the most famous and convenient transporting ways. However, the noise problem caused by the train hinders people from living in a silent environment. Furthermore, this problem is related with the environmental rights of people nearby the railroad. The estimation of train noise is the pre-research of train noise reduction. This research is about measurement and analysis of train noise which can be a base-study about the estimation of train n(lise. The noise of ‘Mugungwha’ train, the most frequently used train in Korea, is the main object in this measurement and analysis. The characteristics of the train noise were evident in the criteria of height, distance and velocity. Furthermore, the noise differences between locomotive and passenger coach were observable.

  • People living in the large cities are exposed to high level noise due to road-traffic, railway-traffic and aircraft. Nowadays, some researches are ongoing to reduce the noise by using noise map. However it has to be decided which prediction model is the most suitable in Korea. In this study, it has been focused on railway noise prediction models which are employed in a commercial software(Sound Plan) and developed by Korea Railroad Research Institute, and comparative study of the prediction models has been made.

  • Community Noise has been great concerned in public. Especially, the road traffic noise has affected too much damage on quiet living environment. In this paper, the noise barrier and reducer effect on the street has been analyzed by using the ray tracing method. The outcome of the analysis has been compared to the measurement at the street near the highway. It turns out that noise barrier and reducer decreases noise level by 7dB(A).

  • It is widely recognized that train Is one of the most efficient and convenient ways for passenger and freight transportation. However, the environmental noise problem is occurred with the construction and service of train. The noise problems caused by train prevent people from living in a silent environment. Furthermore, this problem is related with the right to preserve one's environment. The objectives of this research are train noise measurement and analysis which might be a base-study for prediction of train noise. This paper mainly deals with the noise of the 'Semaul' train. The train noise shows distinct characteristics according to the variation of height and distance. Furthermore, the database and its interface program are developed for systematic analysis and future research.

  • Community noise has been serious social issues in Korea. This paper reviews current statistics and status on railway noise, with practical engineering tools in order to reduce the noise level from railway traffic noise sources. At the beginning, guidelines of the current environmental policy are discussed, with the new policy on railway noise to be enforced beginning in 2007 with 5 year schedule. Then, a noise reducer is proposed as a tool to reduce noise levels protecting people living near at the railway. Details on the acoustic effect in field test are discussed with the result of implementation in the street. We propose noise reducers as an effective and practical tool for the people who are exposed to rail traffic noise in cities.

  • The subjective unwantedness felt from the noise sources in living and office environment has been evaluated by investgating the upper/lower limit of perceptual loudness of the noise. The limits were selected by the subject and the noise sources were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with Zwicker parpmeters and ACF fastors. It was found that the loudness of vacuum cleaner noise does not influence its perceived noiseness. Noises implicated in human such as floor walking noise and talking sound, are the most irritating noise in office environment.
