The purpose of this study was to conduct research on consumers who seek to portray an image through their living atmosphere and clothing, and to survey the home fashion design preference of Korean women, aged in their 20s to 40s. We distributed questionnaires to 600 women. The reliable questionnaires were used for a statistical analysis. Data analyses were conducted with SPSS program on ANOVA and Pearson correlations. We obtained the following results: 1. Women who are living in larger housing sought 'elegant', 'sophisticated', and 'gorgeous' images. There was a high correlation between the image sought through the surrounding environment and the image sought with clothing. Those who wanted an image of Korean traditional and classic living environment, also sought the same image in their clothing. 2. There was a significant difference in the preference of home fashion products among women seeking specific images in their living environment. In the preference of children's bed sheets and comforters, there was a significant difference in Korean traditional image. In addition, there was a significant difference in the preferred types of curtains in elegant, sophisticated, gorgeous and classic seeking images of environment. These results may be useful for the home fashion stylist or home fashion marketer.
Modern people come to have high standard and variety need for the oneself expression these days. This phenomenon also, appears in the house space clearly. There are design characteristics in an element expressing a lifestyle and personality in the house space and a living room is the space that is important at time to do a design characteristics plan. Therefore, this study is going to analyze the design characteristics of the apartment house which is a representative house type these days. Concretely, there are design characteristics that a color, an Image, a style. This study used questionary survey from June 10, 2008 to July 9. The color analyzed a color and tone through a color palette of PCIS and the living room image used SD(semantic differential method) method by a concrete analysis method. The result of the analysis were as follows; 1) Various colors and tone were prefer in a house future than the house where lived in. 2) It was done prefer to 'comfort' image for the future living room image in the future but 'provocative' image and 'splendid' were not done a choice 3) A 'modern style' was done prefer to of with a house living room style in the future.

Living room in modern housing accepts social behavior of modem family realized diversified life and the core of the housing space. So living room in the housing space is composed of many various components, handled very carefully in a color plan. This study is purposed on proposing basic data for color planing of the living room in an apartment, especially a sold housing accommodating the social change. As a result of understanding the color image of a apartment living room for the last 5 years, phenomenon of using natural color which makes people feel comfortable is common with durability. Also the image of space composition which usually called in modern, classic and dandy is appeared with various coloration easily in a medium-large or large living room, So these show the various demand of high-level or medium-level inhabitants. For an actual proof, basic data for research about the color image of a apartment living room in korea have to be accumulated constantly. After that the research which can take concrete shape and visualize the change of the color image of korean apartment living room will revitalize.
The purpose of this study is to identify the body images of patints with low back pain and their status on adjustment of daily living. The data were collected from 11 general hospitals during Feburary 2, 1987 through May 30,1987. One hundred and ninety five subjects having physical therapy treatment because of low back pain were analyzed. For measurement of body image, 11 pairs of adjectives were used on semantic differential scale, and for measurement of adjustment of daily living, 10 items were used on a likert type scale. Results of the study are summerised as follows. 1. The average patient age were 34yeats and 62% of the patients were men. High school grade completed were 43.1% and Cause of Low Back Pain were respctively;Unknown etiology 31.8%, lifting heavy objects 27.7%, Traffic accident and injury 17.9%. Types of treatment were;medication plus physical therapy 54.9%, physical therapy only 22.6%. Average treatment duration were 24.5 months. 2. There were significant difference in the body image between before low back pain and after low back pain. The body image before low back pain were 59.89(Mean) but after low back pain were 37,24(Mean) and two groups were statistically significant (t=21.3, p<0.00l). 3. there were no significant difference in the body image between the male and female.(t=1.49, p>0.05) 4. The correlation between body image and adjustment of daily living. in both sexes showed positive correlation coefficient; male(r=0.4648, p<0.00l) female(r=0.4516, p<0.00l) respectively. It means that patients with positive body image can adjust well in daily living. 5. The relation between the body image and general variables revealed sigificant difference with occupation and age.(F=2.12 p<0.05, F=3.48 p<0.05). That is different occupation and different age groups can show different body image. In conculsion with the above results, It is my strong belief that multidisciplinary approach including the concept of body image and patient education about postural care, activities of daily living, lifting mechanics should be applied in treating and dealing with those patients.
This study explores the interior image preferred by females living in urban areas. It also examines the relationship between interior image and socio-demographic characteristics such as age, marital status, employment status, total household income. The target population of this study was 301 adult females living in Kwangju City. The data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, General Linear Model, and Duncan's multiple range test using the SAS package. The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) The majority of the females generally preferred modernity of interior image to traditionalism. Also they preferred feminity of interior image to masculinity and complexity to simplicity. 2) Females in the age of 40s were more likely to prefer simple and oriental-traditionalism image to those under the age of 30s. 3) Those with the higher total household income were more 1ike1y prefer western-traditionalism image to those with the lower. But those with the lower household income were more tended to prefer modernity image to those with the higher.

The living lab is a user-participatory innovation space where users can solve problems by themselves. Living Lab members are able to participate in all aspects of product development from technology conception. In this study, to prevent pedestrian accidents, auto-image sensing signal system was developed in Jeonju City, using the Living Lab method. In addition, we measured effectiveness of the auto-image sensing signal system with respect to pedestrian waiting time, pedestrian and driver signal violation, and pedestrian jaywalking. It was also compared the measures before installation, after installation and after applying Living Lab method. As a result, all of the three measures of effectiveness appeared to be more effective after Living Lab than after installation. Overall, this study is very significant in that it is the first case where the living lab is applied in transportation.
The purposes of this study were to investigate the effect of perceived Korea image on the evaluation and purchase intention of Korean apparel products and examine the effect of perceived Korea image on preference of Korean image and Korean apparel brand among Chinese female consumers. As variables of perceived Korea image, marketing stimulus and popular culture elements were included. Data were obtained from 350 Chinese women in the 20s and 30s who were living in Shanghi, China. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, ANOVA, multivariate regression using SPSS WIN 12.0. The results of this study were as follows. First, the preference of Korea image was significantly affected by marketing stimulus and popular culture (e.g. TV drama of Korea). However, only marketing elements significantly affected on the preference of Korean apparel brands. Second, purchase intention of Korean apparel products was influenced by marketing stimulus, the preference of Korean apparel brands and the evaluation of Korean apparel products. Popular culture element which was main element of Hanliu was not affected significantly to purchase intention of Korean apparel products. As source of Korean brand image for apparel product, Chinese female consumers used more Korean TV drama and entertainers. This study provides an insight into Korean fashion marketers for developing market strategies in China.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify factors associated with stroke patients' quality of life (QOL) and examine the mediating effects of interpersonal relations in the relationships of activities of daily living (ADL) and body image with QOL. Methods: In this study, 160 stroke patients were recruited from an outpatient clinic of a university hospital and rehabilitation clinic of a long-term care hospital. Participants completed a questionnaire which included sociodemographic characteristics, ADL, body image, interpersonal relation, and QOL. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, multiple regression analysis, and process macro mediation analysis were conducted using SPSS. Results: The mean scores were 91.01 (range 6~100) for ADL, 61.19 (range 40~79) for body image, 87.53 (range 29~123) for interpersonal relations, and 186.67 (range 71~243) for QOL. Multiple regression analyses showed that ADL, body image, interpersonal relations, and participation in group activities after stroke were significantly associated with QOL among stroke patients (p<.05). There were no mediating effects of interpersonal relations in the relationships of ADL and body image with QOL (p>.05). Conclusion: This study showed that there is a need for physical, psychological, and social recovery to improve the QOL of stroke patients.
The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female\\` The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume of Female College Students according to their life styles and their major. The data were collected from 300 female college students in Cheongju city through self-administerd questionnaires, and were analyzed by frequencies, Cronbach´s $\alpha$, F-test, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, one way ANOVA and Duncan Test. The results of the study were as follows: The image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume were found to include four different dimensions- fashion, activity, gracefulness, ability. There were not significant differences between dimensions of image on male and female´ contemporary folk costume according to student´s major. Life styles were classified five types. There were significantly different at dimensions of fashion and gracefulness, ability between life style dimensions and image on males´ contemporary folk costume. There was significantly different at dimension of gracefulness between life style dimensions and image on females´ contemporary folk costume.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship among body image Perception, eating behavior and health status in young females. The survey was carried out by self-questionnaires for 293 female high school students(HS) and 164 female college students(CS) living in Daegu and suburbs of Daegu. For the perception of body image, 9-grade body figure drawings were used based on average Korean body size. EAT-26 and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used to measure the tendency of eating disorder and self-esteem. It appeared that 40.5% of the subjects were off the normal range of body weight; especially 34.2% of the subject were underweight. The subjects' perception about current body image was within normal range. Almost of all the subjects believed that the ideal body image was thinner than their own current body image, and they wanted to be thinner than their current body image. The change of eating behaviors related to weight control of CS was significantly higher than that of HS students. EAT-26 score, self-esteem score, and subjective health status score were no difference between groups. The cut-off point of the eating disorder in this study was equal to or greater than 20 in EAT-26 score. The rates of the eating disorder were very high as 9.6% of HS and 8.5% of CS. Eating disorder was positively correlated with BMI, current body image, dissatisfaction of body image and the change score of eating behavior. But eating disorder was negatively correlated with health status. From the results of this study, we suggested that one of causes related to the eating disorder behaviors in adolescent females was resulted from misperception about ideal body image. There is a great need to provide nutrition educations concerning appropriate perception of body image and weight control among adolescent females.
