고식이섬유쌀의 급여가 KK 당뇨 마우스의 체내 지질 대사에 미치는 영향 (Supplementary Effect of the High Dietary Fiber Rice on Lipid Metabolism in Diabetic KK Mice)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the supplementary effects of Suwon 464 developed by Rural Development Administration, which has over two times of dietary fiber content compared with normal rice (Ilpum), on lipid metabolism in diabetic mice. We supplied 5 kinds of experimental diets (com starch diet as a control (CO), Ilpum polished rice diet (IP), Ilpum brown rice diet (IB), polished rice diet (SP) and brown rice diet (SB) of Suwon 464) to diabetic mice for 8 weeks, after analyzing dietary fiber contents of 5 experimental diets. Diet intake, body weight, organ weights, and lipids levels of serum, liver and feces were measured. The dietary fiber contents in CO, IP, IB, SP, and SB diets were 1.0, 1.2, l.4, 1.4, and 2.0% respectively. Body weight and liver and epididymal fat pad weights were lower in SB group than the other groups though there was no significant difference in diet intake among experimental groups. The concentrations of serum triglyceride was lower in SP and SB groups than CO and IP groups. The levels of hepatic total lipid and total cholesterol were significantly lower in SP and SB groups than CO group, and the level of hepatic triglyceride was lower in IB, SP and SB groups than CO group. The levels of total lipid and triglyceride excreted in feces were higher in IB, SP and SB, and the level of total cholesterol in feces was higher in SP and SB groups than CO group. These results suggested that the high dietary fiber rice (Suwon 464) decrease the triglyceride or total cholesterol concentrations of serum and liver by increasing of fecal lipid excretion in diabetic mice. 느릅나무 뿌리 에탄올 추출물이 고지방 식이를 섭취한 마우스의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of ethanolic extract of Ulmus davidiana Root on Lipid Metabolism in High-Fat Diet Fed Mice)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of ethanolic extract of Ulmus davidiana root (UE) on lipid metabolism in mice fed a high-fat diet (HF) for 7 weeks. Forty male ICR mice were randomly divided into four groups; normal diet group (N), high-fat diet group (HF), HF with 0.5% UE (HF-L) and 1% UE (HF-H) group. Body weight, body weight gain, and liver weight in the HF group was significantly higher than in the N group, while those of the HF-L and HF-H group were unchanged. UE improved HF-induced dyslipidemia by reducing serum triglyceride, total cholesterol, and the atherogenic index. There was no difference in serum HDL-cholesterol among experimental groups. However, the HDL-cholesterol/total cholesterol ratio was significantly increased in the HF-L and HF-H group. Histological analysis showed that HF-fed mice developed hepatocellular microvesicular vacuolation as a result of fat accumulation. These changes were attenuated by 1% UE supplementation. In addition, hepatic triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the HF-H group significantly reduced. Taken together, these results demonstrated that lipid levels in the blood and liver were reduced by UE, suggesting that it might be beneficial for the prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia and fatty liver.

  • The effects of the essential oil fraction and the fatty acid-fraction of the panax Ginseng on the various lipids (total cholesterol, phospholipid, triglyceride) in serum and liver tissues of the white rats were examined and observed after the administration of the fractions for eight weeks with the following results: 1. Serum total cholesterol level was slightly decreased in the group after giving the essential oil fraction four weeks, whereas the effects in the group after giving itfor eight weeks were increased. Phospholipid level was slightly elevated both in four weeks and in eight weeks, while triglyceride level was elevated after four weeks, whereas it showed nochange at all after eight weeks. In the liver tissues, the cholesterol content was slightly decreased after four weeks and remarkably decreased after the administration for eight week. Phospholipid increased after four week administration and then rather decreased after the eight week administration, while the triglyceride content decreased both in four weeks and in eight weeks. 2. In the group giving the fatty acid-fraction, serum total cholesterol level decreased after the four week administration and then returned to the pre-experiment mean after the eight-week administration, while phospholipid level increased after the four-week administration and then returned to the pre experiment mean. Triglyceride level increased after four week administration of the fraction and rather then decreased after eight weeks. In the liver tissues, total cholesterol content decreased both after four weeks and after eight weeks, while phospholipid level also decreased from four weeks through eight weeks, whereas triglyceride level increased after four weeks, and showed rather decreasing tendency after the eight-week administration.

구리와 셀레늄 보충이 흰쥐의 체내 지질함량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Copper and Selenium Supplementation on Lipid Contents in Rats)

  • 구리와 셀레늄 보충이 체내 지질함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 흰쥐를 대상으로 적정수준, 적정수준의 2배와 4배의 구리, 10배의 셀레늄을 6주간 공급한 후 혈액과 간장의 지질함량 변화를 비교, 분석하였다. 구리와 셀레늄 보충에 따른 사료섭취량, 체중증가량 및 사료효율은 각 군별 유의한 차이가 없었다. 혈청 콜레스테를 함량은 구리 보충수준에 따라 유의한 차이를 보여(p<0.01) 구리 적정군이 가장 낮았으며, LDL-콜레스테롤은 셀레늄의 영향을 받아 (p<0.05) 셀레늄 적정군이 보충군보다 낮은 수준을 보였다. 간장의 콜레스테롤 함량은 구리와 셀레늄의 보충수준에 따라 각각 유의한 차이를 보여(p<0.05, p<0.05) 구리와 셀레늄 보충에 따라 증가하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 종합하면 적정량 이상의 구리와 셀레늄 공급은 간장의 콜레스테롤을 증가시키고 그에 따른 혈청 콜레스테롤과 LDL-콜레스테롤 상승을 초래하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 영양의 균형과 일상 식이를 통한 영양공급의 중요성에 대한 영양지도가 이루어져야 할 것이며, 다양한 무기질의 보충수준에 따른 지질대사의 변화를 살펴보는 지속적인 연구가 요구된다.

생약복합제제(삼황사심탕(三黃瀉心湯), 황련해독탕(黃連解毒湯))가 흰쥐의 실험적 고지혈증에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Composite Preparation of Crude Drugs on Experimentally Induced Hyperlipemia in Rats -Sam Whang Sasim Tang and Whang Ryun Haedok Tang)

  • This study was attempted to investigate the effect of Composite Preparation (Sam Whang Sasim-Tang: SWST, Whang Ryun Haedok-Tang: WRHT) on the activities of GOT and GPT, the content of total lipids, triglyceride, total cholesterol. Phospholipid and ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ in the serum, and the change ratio of body and liver weight in the experimentally induced hyperlipemic rats, making use of the extract 150, 200, 300 and 500 mg/kg p.o. Significant test was performed by comparision with the values of corresponding experimentally hyperlipemic rats. The activities of S-GPT was significantly decreased in all dose of SWST and WRHT respectively. The activities of S-GPT was significantly decreased in dose of SWST 500 mg/kg and in all dose of WRHT respectively. The content of total lipids, triglyceride, total cholesterol and phospholipids were significantly decreased in all dose of two the extract. The rate of decrease on total lipids and triglyceride were remarkable in dose of SWST 300, 500 mg/kg and WRHT 200, 500 mg/kg, and then the content of total cholesterol was more remarkable in dose SWST 300, 500 mg/kg, and WRHT 150, 300 mg/kg, and the content of phospholipids was more remarkable in dose of the extract 150, 200 and 300 mg/kg. The content of ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ was significantly decreased in dose of WRHT 150, 200 and in all dose of SWST. Increase ratio of the body and liver weight were significantly decreased in dose of two the extract 300, 500 mg/kg respectively.

고지방식이 섭취 마우스의 간 조직의 지질 축적에 대한 밀순 추출물의 억제 효과 (Inhibitory Effects of Triticum aestivum L. Extracts on Liver Lipid Accumulation in High Fat-Fed Mice)

  • Fatty liver disease refers to a range of disorders associated with fatty liver, which occur in excessive eating, evident infection or significant consumption of alcohol. This study was to investigate the effects of water and ethanol extracts of Triticum aestivum young leaf on lipid metabolism and accumulation in liver of mice fed with high-fat diet. Male C57BL/6 mice were divided into normal diet group, high fat diet (HFD) group, high fat diet group administrated with 200 mg/kg/day of T. aestivum water extract (HFD-TAWE) and high-fat group administrated with 200 mg/kg/day of T. aestivum ethanol extract (HFD-TAEE). TAWE and TAEE were administrated orally for 5 weeks once at the same time point. Both TAWE and TAEE significantly reduced body weight, food intake and liver tissue weight, which were augmented in high fat-fed mice. The serum levels of triglyceride, total and LDL-cholesterol also were significantly attenuated in both HFD-TAWE and HFD-TAEE groups compared to the HFD group. Moreover, administration of HFD-TAWE or HFD-TAEE reduced the lipid accumulation in liver tissue of mice fed with high fat diet. Levels of total lipids and triglyceride in liver tissues also was significantly reduced in HFDTAWE and HFD-TAEE groups compared to HFD group. The activities of serum ALT and AST revealed in HFD group were remarkedly decreased in HFD-TAEE groups. These results indicate that both water and ethanol extract of T. aestivum may improve the lipid accumulation in liver as well as lipid metabolism in serum, and that in particular, the ethanol extract of T. aestivum may has the potent anti-hyperlipidemic effect, suggesting that it may be a useful candidate for the therapy preventing fatty liver diseases.

대추과육과 대추잎 혼합발효추출물이 고지방식이로 유발된 고지혈증 흰쥐에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Fermented Extracts Zizyphus jujuba Fruits and Leaves Mixture on Hyperlipidemia in Rats Induced by High Fat Diet)

  • Objective : This study was designed to investigate the effects of non fermented Zizyphus. jujuba mixture (mixed fruit and leaf : ZM) and fermented Z. jujuba mixture(FZM) on fed high-fat diet induced hyperlipidemic rats for development medicinal food. Method : The extracts prepared for Zizyphus. jujuba mixture(ZM) and fermented Z. jujuba mixture(FZM) with Lactobacillus plantarum and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Experimental group was divided into normal control group(NC group) and high fat diet groups. The high fat diet groups fed high fat diet 2 weeks after was sub-divided into high fat diet control group(HC group), high fat diet positive control group(HPC group), non fermented Z. jujuba mixture extract group(ZM group) and fermented Z. jujuba mixture extract group(FZM group). NC and HC group was orally administerd of 0.9% saline, HPC group administerd lovastatin diluted in 0.9% saline at a dose of 10 mg/kg BW, ZM and FZM groups was administerd each extracts diluted in 0.9% saline at a dose of 300 mg/kg BW once a day on a fixed time for 4 weeks. In the present study we measured organ weight, epididymal fat tissue weight, concentration of serum lipids, hepatic lipids, MDA contents in liver tissue and metabolic variables in serum. Results : ZM and FZM suppressed testis weight loss and FZM decreased epididymal fat tissue weight to level of NC group in high-fat diets. ZM and FZM did not influence on serum cholesterol level, but prominently decreased serum triglyceride concentration compared with HC group, and FZM diminished hepatic triglyceride same as serum. ZM and FZM did not impair liver and kidney function and influence positive effects through by suppression of elevation lipid level. Conclusion : These results suggested that Z. jujuba mixture(ZM, FZM) should be useful developing medicinal food for prevention and improvement of hyperlipidemia and FZM is more suitable agent than ZM.

인스탄트 메밀국소가 백서의 소화흡수율, 간장 및 혈청지질 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Instant Buckwheat Noodle on Digestibility and Lipids Profiles of Liver and Serum in Rats)

  • 인스탄트 메밀국수가 백서의 소화율, 성장율 및 조직내 지질함량에 미치는 효과를 검토할 목적으로 정제사료에 탄수화물원으로서 설탕, 인스탄트 소맥면 및 메밀면 (소맥분중 10 및 30% 함유) 섭취군으로 4군으로 나누어 4주간 사육하였다. 체중증가량 및 식이섭취량은 설탕섭취군보다 다른 3군에서 유의하게 높았으나, 실험군사이에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 본 연구에서의 식이 탄수화물원의 차이는 조소화율에 유의한 영향을 주지 않았다. 혈청 및 간장의 콜레스테롤 농도는 각군간 유의한 차이는 관찰되지 않았다. 혈청 및 간장의 중성지질의 농도는 메밀면 섭취군에서 낮은 경향을 보였으나 유의한 차이는 없었다. 이러한 결과는 인스탄트(알파화) 메밀면(30% 함유)은 다른 주요 영양성분의 소화율에 장애를 주지 않으며, 완만하게 중성지질을 낮추는 효과가 있음을 시사한다.

옥천산이 당뇨 쥐의 혈당, 지질 및 단백질 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Okcheonsan on Blood Glucose, Lipid and Protein bevels in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Female Rats)

  • 동의보감에서 소갈증에 응용되는 옥천산 분말이 당뇨 암쥐의 혈당, 혈청과 간의 지질 및 단백질 농도에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자, 평균체중 313.6$\pm$18.5 g되는 Spraque-Dawley계 암쥐를 정상군, 당뇨 대조군 및 당뇨 옥천산군 등 3군으로 나누어 각 실험식 이로 5주간 사육한 결과는 다음과 같다. 5주간 체중변화는 정상군은 3.5 g 증가하였으나, 당뇨 대조군과 당뇨 옥천산군은 당뇨로 인한 대사장애로 각각 97.8 g과 99.1 g씩 체중이 감소되었다. 췌장의 무게는 정상군에 비하여 당뇨 대조군은 유의하게 증가되었으나 당뇨 옥천산 군은 정상군과 비슷하였다. 비장의 무게는 정상군에 비하여 당뇨 대조군과 당뇨 옥천산군이 유의하게 감소하였다. 혈청의 중성지질, 총 콜레스테롤, LDL-콜레스테를 및 간의 콜레스테를 농도는 당뇨 옥천산군이 당뇨 대조군보다 유의하게 감소되어 정상군과 비슷한 수준을 보였다. HDL-콜레스테를 농도와 HDL-콜레스테롤/총 콜레스테롤의 비율은 정상군과 당뇨 실험군들이 비슷한 수준을 보였다. 동맥경화지수 및 혈당량은 정상군에 비하여 당뇨 실험군들이 증가하였다. 간의 총 지질 및 중성지질 농도는 정상군에 비하여 당뇨 대조군과 당뇨 옥천산군이 유의하게 감소되었다. 혈청의 단백질과 알부민 농도는 정상군에 비하여 당뇨 대조군과 당뇨 옥천산군이 유의하게 감소되었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 당뇨 쥐에 옥천산 분말이 혈당 및 동맥경화지수를 낮추는 효과는 없었으나, 혈청의 중성지질, 총 콜레스테롤, LDL-콜레스테를 및 간의 콜레스테를 농도를 낮추는 효과가 나타났다.

MCT를 경구투여(經口投與)한 흰쥐의 혈중지질(血中脂質) 및 효소활성(酵素活性)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effect of Oral Administered Medium Chain Triglyceride Diet on the Serum Lipids and Enzyme Activities of Rats)

  • The purpous of the study was to find an effect of oral administered medium chain triglyceride(MCT) diet on the serum and enzyme activities of Spraque-Dawly rats when they were oral fed with MCT, soybean oil and palm oil. The result was as follow. 1) The body weight gains in MCT diet group was lower than that of the all experimental group. 2) Total cholesterol levels in serum and liver of MCT diet group were very lower than that of the all experimental groups. 3) HDL-cholesterol level of MCT diet group was higher than that of the all experimental group except normal group and VLDL, LDL-cholesterol levels was very higher. 4) TG and PL levels of MCT diet group higher than that of the control group. 5) The activities of GOT with soybean oil diet group and of GPT with MCT diet group were lower than that of the all experimental group. 6) HDL-levels in the serum lipoprotein of MCT diet group was increased and LDL levels was decreased.
