The purpose of this study was to assess the needs of education program and to analyze importance of education courses for school food service cooks. The questionnaires were developed by reviewing literatures on education programs for cooks and by interviewing with cooks who are working in school food service. A total of 150 questionnaires were surveyed at Kyonggi University and 90 of them were analyzed. The cooks in school food service wanted to take continuing education program about cooking skills and school food service operation skills. They wanted to take a culinary courses for 10 days and they wanted to take a food service operation courses for a week. The school food service cooks emphasized on courses of job analysis, laws and regulation, food sanitation, standard recipe, safety, equipment, and facility and layout. And they thought not only Korean food but also western food, Chinese food and Japanese food are important.

Vascular leiomyomas are benign tumors of smooth muscle origin arising from the muscularis layer of blood vessel walls. They can occur anywhere in the body where smooth muscle is found and usually occur in the lower extremity as a slow-growing, firm, occasionally painful mass. However they are rare in the head and neck and very rare in hard palate. Here we report a case of a vascular leiomyoma presenting as a soft mass of the hard palate and review the literatures.

Along with the development of Information Technology, online transactions through Internet have become more popular for the reasons of convenience and efficiency. In order to provide secure and reliable online transactions, an effective electronic payment protocol is crucial. In this paper, we propose a novel electronic payment protocol for digital product transactions with an offline arbiter to achieve fair exchange, automated dispute resolution, customer anonymity, and customer unlinkability. In our protocol a product token is adopted to eliminate the need of key management for digital product decryption in the offline arbiter. In addition, Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)-based self-certified public key is utilized to further reduce computing overheads. According to our analysis, the efficiency of our protocol can be greatly increased in comparison with previous literatures.

Business reengineering (BR) is an emerging idea that attempts to restructure inefficient, current business processes through redesigning jobs and exploiting new information technology (IT), and helps achieving significant improvements in white-collar productivity and returns of IT investment. This research analyzed order-taking and purchasing processes of a company (a coil distributor) using BR concepts, models and principles. We also made proposals for reengineering the present business processes. For this, BR literatures were reviewed to derive BR models and principles to be used for analyses. We applied these ideas to six(6) types of order-taking and purchasing processes of Company T. For each type, current processes, BR analyses, and proposals for BR were described. Finally, findings were summarized and discussed.

The definite causes of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are still unknown. OCD has been suggested to be related to many neurotransmitters in brain, such as serotonin, dopamine and glutamate. It has been shown that serotonergic neurons play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of OCD. Recently, it is known that neurotransmitters other than serotonin also play a role in the pathophysiology of OCD, and a series of studies have provided a few evidence that glutamate may be involved in some OCD patients. The purpose of this article was to review the literatures on glutamatergic dysfunction in OCD. We suggest that glutamatergic dysfunction may be implicated in the pathophysiology of OCD.

Dermatomyositis is a rare and idiopathic inflammatory myopathy with a characteristic cutaneous manifestation. A 62-year-old female complained of polyarthralgia that lasted for many years. She was diagnosed with hypomyopathic dermatomyositis by the typical skin rash associated with dermatomyositis but without muscle involvement such as muscle weakness, elevated level of creatinine phosphokinase and aldolase. Her symptoms improved with treatment of hydroxychloroquine and prednisolone. We experienced a case of hypomyopathic dermatomyositis on 62-year-old female patient and report with review of literatures.

The predictive screening of various molecular descriptors for predicting cyclooxygenase inhibitor, lipooxygenase inhibitor, leucotriene synthesis inhibitor, leucotriene antagonist activities of Stilbene moieties have been investigated for the application of quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR). The biological activities for 36 compounds were computed by the PASS program and molecular descriptors are cited from literatures or calculated, to investigate feasibility of screening relevant descriptors and of their applications among biological endpoints. Fairly good correlations varying from 0.7828 to 0.9032 were obtained using 12 descriptors with 29 Stilbene derivatives and 5 diazo-compounds. Our studies reveal that LogKow, electron density(X), electron density (Y),4th-order valence connectivity and water solubility can be usefully employed to predict biological activities of stilbene derivatives with simple regression models.

Works on biodeterioration performed at domestic museums were surveyed through questionary data made by each museum to find fumigation practices conducted at around twenty domestic museums and to review relevant activities of each museum concerned. Through reported data in literatures, major works on biodeterioration done at some international museums (Two in Japan, three in N. America, four in Europe, and five in 5. East Asian Region) were reviewed to characterize and evaluate features of the work performed at each museum and relevant activities at these museums were also Introduced in details.
