  • In this paper, we handle the estimation method of the received $E_{b}l1_{o}$ for forward closed-loop power control in cdma2000 systems. The estimation of MS-received $E_{b}l1_{o}$ utilizes the symbols related to the forward power control subchannel transmission. The estimation of the received bit energy and noise variance is analyzed for the frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel. In order to improve SIR (signal-to-interference), the estimation of the received bit energy is made by the coherent combining of the rake-fingers and received I/Q symbols. And, in this paper, we evaluate the performance of forward closed-loop power control according to the mobile speed and the power adjustment step size in terms of the bit error rate (BER) and power control error. Simulation results present the optimal power adjustment step sizes according to the mobile speeds.

  • In this paper, we propose the method using coherent detection with time division multiple pilot signal for each users I reverse CDMA channel as the structure of reverse CDMA channel to apply CDMA to upstream channel of bidirectional LMDS. By using coherent detection with pilot signal in reverse CDMA channel, capacity can be improved when compared with noncoherent detection, but it is required to allocate pilot signal for all user. And then interference is increased due to allocate continuously the pilot signals. In this case channel capacity is decreased. The method f pilot allocation is needed that reduce this interference and keep synchronization effect using coherent detection, In the reverse link, the pilot allocated to each users at different time and not overlapped is possible solution for it. this pilot is proposed and analyzed its performance and capacity. The result is that proposed method has more increased capacity compared wit others.

  • Due to the increasing demand for high data multimedia service, there has been progressing study of adaptive smart antenna to increase both the performance and capacity using limited wireless resource. IS-95 scheme in the origin of cdma2000 of IMT-2000 standard uses signals of spreading and Walsh-Orthogonal Modulation in reverse link. But, in the case of reverse lint there exists difficulty in synchronous of signals transmitted from users. Therefore, orthogonality between users is not satisfied. So, asynchronous MC-CDMA scheme may yield low performance. In this paper, MC/DS-CDMA scheme to reverse link transmission in adaptive array antenna environment is proposed for spreading the S/P-converted data streams using a given spreading code. Due to frequency diversity effect, simulation results show that the proposed system provides improved BER performance and narrow band interference supple psi on.

  • We analyze the performances of MC-CDMA and MC-DS/CDMA systems on quasi-synchronized mobile satellite return link. Quasi-synchronization is considered that chip offset between user terminals is within a few chips. Since the transmitted signals of MC-CDMA and MC-DS/CDMA systems have non-constant envelop, they are easily distorted by nonlinearity of transmit amplifier. Since the nonlinear amplifier input signal level of MC-CDMA system using Walsh code to employ frequency domain spreading is lower than that of MC-DS/CDMA system, performance of single user in MC-CDMA system is respectively 2.3dB and 1dB better than that of MC-DS/CDMA system when amplifier input backoff is 0dB and 6dB. However, since interference of MC-DS/CDMA is less than that of MC-CDMA with many subcarriers in quasi-synchronization and AWGN channel, MC-DS/CDMA system is much better than MC-CDMA system as the number of users increases.

  • This paper proposes a system called Wireless Link based on Global Communication Channel (WLGCC) to enhance the spectrum sharing between digital broadcasting (DB) services and the cognitive radio (CR) system in the licensed band of 470-790 MHz. The WLGCC aims to enhance the spectrum sensing and geolocation database (GLD) spectrum sharing methods in the CR system. Spectrum sensing can be enhanced by receiving the status of the used frequencies from the WLGCC, thereby eliminating the need for a low detection threshold (i.e., avoiding the hidden node problem). In addition, the GLD can be enhanced by providing a reliable communication link between the database and the CR device in the form of an unused TV white space that is reserved as the proposed Global Communication Channel (GCC). This paper analyzes the coexistence of the new WLGCC system and the DB service in terms of avoiding additional interference. Specifically, we mathematically determine the WLGCC parameters, such as the in-band and out-of-band power levels, and operation coverage, and verify them using Monte Carlo simulation. The results show that WLGCC does not degrade the existing DB service and reliably transmits information of the vacant (or used) frequency bands to the CR.

  • Adapt ive and fixed step size PC (power control) schemes for accommodating voice, video, and data are evaluated according to the different PC command rates and their effects on integrated Voice/Video/Data are investigated. The required minimum power levels are derived as PC thresholds and the effects of PC errors on channel quality and radio 1 ink capacity are investigated. The services with high bit rates and low bit error rates can cause a significant effect on the radio link qualifies of the other types of traffic. The results show that the adapt ive step size PC scheme for voice/video/data services can achieve more capacity and cause less interference to the radio channels because less minimum PIL(Power Increment Level) is required for the specified radio link outage probability.

  • This paper proposes a resource allocation scheme suitable for D2D communications in multi-cell environment. In order to solve the inter-cell interference, the proposed scheme allocates the pre-assigned resource group and shares the information with neighbor cells. This paper also proposes a power control scheme for D2D communication to enhance the cell throughput. By the simulation results, the average SINR of the cellular uplink and D2D communication link are mostly higher than 10 dB when the proposed scheme is applied. On the other hand, with the inter-cell non-coordinated resource allocation scheme, the average SINR of the D2D communication link are decreased by 0 dB. In addition, the proposed scheme can enhance the cell throughput up to 8 % compared with the inter-cell non-coordinated resource allocation scheme.

  • Recently, mobile internet traffic has rapidly increased as the huge increase of the smart phone and mobile devices. D2D get attention, because D2D is known that it reduce the traffic load of the base station and also improves the reliability of the network performance. However, D2D has a problem that the efficiency decreases as interference is increased. In this paper, we propose a resource allocation scheme to use the resources efficiently when the D2D link share the cellular resources in the cellular network based the uplink. D2D communication utilizes the location information for allocating resources when the eNB know the location of all devices. The proposed scheme select some cellular user using location informations in order to ensure performance of the D2D communication. and D2D link choose cellular user that performs resource allocation using only selected cellular user. Simulation results show optimal value of resource selection in order to ensure most performance of the D2D communication.

  • This study measured the radio environment of 10 domestic institutions with CubeSat ground stations for 24 hours in three frequency bands (VHF/UHF/S-band) allocated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The impact of the RF environment around the ground stations on CubeSat downlink frequencies was analysed and compared with acceptable interference noise requirements from the CubeSat RF link. The findings indicate that not only the selection of downlink frequency but also the configuration of RF communication link design and ground station system of CubeSat should consider the S-band RF environment around the ground station due to the presence of several wireless devices.

  • In this paper, for the reverse link of a imperfect power controlled DS/CDMA cellular system when a mobile radio channel is a Rayleigh distributed multipath fading channel, A extended DS/CDMA blocking probability formula considering both shadowing and multipath fading is derived. Erlang capacity and equivalent channel number considering shadowing are analyzed and compared with those considering both shadowing and multipath fading, respectively. The DS/CDMA blocking probability is calculated based on the analysis method that obtains Erlang capacity and ICF(interference correction factor) using the median value of $E_{b(i)}$/ $I_{0}$ corresponding to each reverse link user Assuming that the blocking probability set 2%, it is observed that the Erlang capacity is 19.97 Erlang at the data rate $R_{b}$=9.6 kbps and 11.67 Erlang at the data rate $R_{b}$=14.4 kbps and then is less 16% and 19% than the Erlang capacity considering shadowing only, respectively. It is also shown that the effect of multipath fading must not be ignored and then exact Erlang capacity and equivalent channel numbers that the DS/CDMA cellular system can support are provided.d.d.d.
