Green OBS 망에서 LPI를 이용하는 코어 및 에지 라우터 구조의 에너지 절감 성능 분석 (Performance Evaluation of Energy Saving in Core Router and Edge Router Architectures with LPI for Green OBS Networks)

  • 본 논문은 백본 망에서 발생하는 에너지를 절감하기 위하여 LPI(Low Power Idle)를 이용하는 OBS 코어 및 에지 라우터 구조를 제안하고 이를 평가한다. 제안한 LPI를 이용하는 코어 라우터는 코어 라우터 라인 카드와 BCP 스위치, 버스트 스위치, 스위치 제어기 및 LPI 기능을 위한 Sleep/Wake 제어기로 구성된다. 망 부하가 낮을 때 네트워크 제어 패킷을 수신한 Sleep/Wake 제어기는 코어 라우터 라인 카드의 수면/활성 상태를 제어함으로써 에너지를 절감 할 수 있다. 에지 라우터는 액세스 라인 카드 스위치, SCU 그리고 OBS 에지 라우터 라인 카드로 구성된다. 에지 라우터에서 LPI 기능은 네트워크 수준 제어를 통하여 에지 라우터 라인 카드 개별적으로 수행되며 버스트를 생성하는 동안 에지 라우터 라인 카드의 PHY/Transceiver를 수면 상태로 천이시킴으로서 에너지 절감을 할 수 있다. 제안된 코어 및 에지 라우터 구조의 에너지 절감 성능 평가를 위하여 본 논문에서는 제안된 라우터 구조의 전력 소모율을 비교/분석하였으며, OPNET을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 코어 라우터와 에지 라우터 라인 카드의 PHY/Transceiver의 수면시간 관점에서 코어 및 에지 라우터의 에너지 절감 성능을 평가하였다.

고성능 H.264/AVC 디블로킹 필터를 위한 4-병렬 스케줄링 아키텍처 (A 4-parallel Scheduling Architecture for High-performance H.264/AVC Deblocking Filter)

  • 본 연구에서는 Quad FHD의 고해상도 동영상을 실시간 처리하는 고성능 H.264/AVC 디블로킹필터를 설계하였다. 연산처리 성능을 향상시키기 위해 라인에지필터 16개를 4개의 블록에지필터로 병렬 설계하였으며, 내부버퍼 크기와 연산 사이클을 줄이기 위해 H.264/AVC 디블로킹 필터 순서를 4단 병렬 지그재그 스캔 순서로 스케줄링하였다. 그리고 블록에지필터 연산 간 1사이클의 지연시간을 두어 데이터 충돌을 방지하고, 블록에지필터 간 내부버퍼를 인터리빙 버퍼로 구현하여 내부버퍼 크기를 줄였다. 0.18um 공정에서 시뮬레이션한 결과, 최대 동작주파수가 90MHz이며, 게이트 수는 140.16 Kgates이다. 제안하는 H.264/AVC 디블로킹필터는 동작주파수 90MHz에서 Quad FHD급 동영상($3840{\times}2160$)을 초당 113.17프레임으로 실시간 처리가 가능한 결과이다.

  • Unlike rigid objects or This paper developes the algorithm for segmenting gaseous objects on an image plane. Unlike rigid objects or solid non-rigid objects, gaseous objects vary in density even within single-object regions and the edge intensity differs at different locations. So, an edge detector may detect only strong edges and detected edges may be an incomplete parts of an whole object's boundary. Due to this property of gaseous objects, it is not easy to distinguish the real edges of gaseous objects from the noisy-like edges such as leaves. Our algorithm uses two criteria of edge intensity and edge's line connectivity, then applies fuzzy set so as to obtain the proper threshold of the edge detector

  • The aim of this work is the real-time road edge detection using the fast processing of Cellular Analogic Parallel Processing Networks(CAPPN). The CAPPN is composed of 2D analog cell way. If the dynamic programming is implemented with the CAPPN, the optimal path can be detected in parallel manner Provided that fragments of road edge are utilized as the cost inverse(benefit) in the CAPPN-based optimal path algorithm, the CAPPN determines the most plausible path as the road edge line. Benefits of the proposed algorithm are the fast processing and the utilization of optimal technique to determine the road edge lines.

In-line Critical Dimension Measurement System Development of LCD Pattern Proposed by Newly Developed Edge Detection Algorithm

  • As the essential techniques for the CD (Critical Dimension) measurement of the LCD pattern, there are various modules such as an optics design, auto-focus [1-4], and precise edge detection. Since the operation of image enhancement to improve the CD measurement repeatability, a ring type of the reflected lighting optics is devised. It has a simpler structure than the transmission light optics, but it delivers the same output. The edge detection is the most essential function of the CD measurements. The CD measurement is a vital inspection for LCDs [5-6] and semiconductors [7-8] to improve the production yield rate, there are numbers of techniques to measure the CD. So in this study, a new subpixel algorithm is developed through facet modeling, which complements the previous sub-pixel edge detection algorithm. Currently this CD measurement system is being used in LCD manufacturing systems for repeatability of less than 30 nm.

방해물이 존재하는 평판 위 충돌 액적 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behavior of an Impacting Droplet on a Wall Having Obstacles)

  • In this paper an experimental study is presented to investigate the effect of a step edge and a stationary droplet on the dynamic behavior of impacting droplet on a wall. The main parameters are the distance from the edge and the center-to-center distance between two droplets. Photographic images are presented to show coalescence dynamics, shape evolution and contact line movement. The emphasis is on presenting the spreading length of droplet for the step edge and two coalescing droplets along their original centers. It is clarified that the droplet exhibits much different dynamic behavior depending on the location of the step edge. The momentum of impacting droplet was better transferred to the stationary droplet as the center- to-center distance between two droplets was reduced, which results in more spreading of coalescing droplet.

  • 불연속 변형해석은 에너지 최소화원리를 이용하여 전체 행렬을 구성하는 유한요소법과 개별블록의 대변위를 모사할 수 있는 개별요소법의 장점을 모두 가지고 있는 해석법이다. 이 연구에서는 불연속 변형해석에서 해석결과에 문제점이 있는 접촉문제를 개선하는 시도로써 불연속 변형해석에서 정의하는 접촉 중 선-선 접촉을 해석하는 새로운 기법을 적용하였다. 이를 위해 접촉쌍의 개념을 이용하여 새로운 7 가지의 선-선 접촉의 상태를 정의하고 이에 따른 새로운 전단거동 결정 방법과 개폐수렴반복해석에서의 수렴조건, 접촉찾기 등의 세부알고리듬을 제시하였다. 또한 블록간의 접촉에 의해 작용하는 마찰력을 기존의 점하중 형태에서 선하중의 형태로 개선하는 식을 유도하여 새 알고리듬에 적용하였다.

상악중절치에서 전부도재관의 finish line형태에 따른 파절강도와 응력 분포에 관한 연구 (THE FRACTURE RESISTANCE AND STRESS DISTRIBUTION OF ALL CERAMIC CROWNS WITH TWO TYPES OF FINISH LINE ON MAXILLARY CENTRAL INCISOR)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture resistance of the IPS Empress ceramic crown with 1.0mm width rounded shoulder, which is usually recommended in all ceramic crown. and 0.5mm width chamfer finish lines on the maxillary central incisor. Material and method : After 15 metal dies were made for each group, the IPS Empress all ceramic crowns were fabricated and cemented with resin cement(Bistite resin cement, Tokuyama Soda Co. LTD., Japan) on the metal die. The cemented crowns were mounted on the positioning jig and the universal testing machine(Zwick Z020, Zwick Co. Germany)was used to measure the fracture strength with loading on the incisal edge. And also, three-dimensional finite element stress analysis was used to measure the stress distribution with the various types of the finish lines(1.0mm width rounded shoulder, 0.5mm width chamfer), the loading site(incisal edge, incisal $\frac{1}{3}$) and the type of loading(concentration loading, distribution loading). Results and conclusion : 1. In the fracture resistance experiment according to the finish line, the mean fracture strength of rounded shoulder(876N) and the mean fracture strength of chamfer(882N) did not skew any significant difference between each other(p>0.05). 2. The stress distribution of all ceramic crown in three dimensional finite element analysis showed concentration aspect at loading point and cervical area or labial surface. 3. In metal die, there were no differences in stress distribution between finish lines, but in natural teeth model, chamfer finish line showed higher stress than rounded shoulder finish line. 4. When force was loaded on the incisal edge the stress was concentrated on the incisal edge and the cervical area of labial surface. When force was loaded on the incisal $\frac{1}{3}$, the stress concentrated on the cervical area of labial surface and the cingulum area. 5. Generally, natural teeth model showed higher and various stress than the metal die.

피칭익에서 박리되는 와류의 거동 (Dynamic Behavior of Vortices Separated from a Pitching Foil)

  • Most of experimental visualizations and numerical results on the flow field separated form a leading edge around an unsteady foil show a continuous streakline from the leading edge and large reverse flow between the streakline and the suction surface. However, they have not exactly clarified yet the dynamic behavior of vortices separated from the leading edge because separation around an unsteady foil is very complicated phenomenon due to many parameters. In the present study the flow fields around pitching foils have been visualized by using a Schlieren method with a high speed camera in a wind tunnel at low Reynolds number regions. It has been observed that small vortices are shed discretely from the leading and trailing edge and that they stand in line on the integrated streakline of separation shear layer. By counting vortices in the VTR frames it was clarified that the number of vortex shedding from the leading and trailing edge during one pitching cycle strongly depends on the non-dimensional pitching rate. Futhermore the vortices moving up to the leading edge on the suction surface of the pitching foil are visualized. They play an important role to balance the number of vortex shedding from both edges.

A Cloud-Edge Collaborative Computing Task Scheduling and Resource Allocation Algorithm for Energy Internet Environment

  • To solve the problems of heavy computing load and system transmission pressure in energy internet (EI), we establish a three-tier cloud-edge integrated EI network based on a cloud-edge collaborative computing to achieve the tradeoff between energy consumption and the system delay. A joint optimization problem for resource allocation and task offloading in the threetier cloud-edge integrated EI network is formulated to minimize the total system cost under the constraints of the task scheduling binary variables of each sensor node, the maximum uplink transmit power of each sensor node, the limited computation capability of the sensor node and the maximum computation resource of each edge server, which is a Mixed Integer Non-linear Programming (MINLP) problem. To solve the problem, we propose a joint task offloading and resource allocation algorithm (JTOARA), which is decomposed into three subproblems including the uplink transmission power allocation sub-problem, the computation resource allocation sub-problem, and the offloading scheme selection subproblem. Then, the power allocation of each sensor node is achieved by bisection search algorithm, which has a fast convergence. While the computation resource allocation is derived by line optimization method and convex optimization theory. Finally, to achieve the optimal task offloading, we propose a cloud-edge collaborative computation offloading schemes based on game theory and prove the existence of Nash Equilibrium. The simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm can improve output performance as comparing with the conventional algorithms, and its performance is close to the that of the enumerative algorithm.
