Development of Social Services through Analysis of Service Cases for Children and Older Citizens (사회서비스 사례분석 및 발전방안 -아동 및 노인서비스를 중심으로-)

  • Since 2000, Korean Society has developed social service program, facing the increasing social needs. With the semi-public goods' factor, social service has shown the original limitation in the private market. This paper analyses social services for children and older citizens in 6 metro cities, exploring the current condition and limitation. Program were collected through research institute and metro city's social service support groups. Analysis shows that most cities have similar programs without reflecting regional specialty. Therefore, the diverse and expanded supply of social services, professional service providers, reflection of regional specialty, easier accessibility of services are suggested. More participation of users in the process of program decision-making process and networking of service providers are also proposed.

  • Almost of alternate computer access devices which assist people with disabilities to utilize the computer connected to computer by some cables or installed in as a S/W program. These devices have some spatial limitations to the people with disabilities, it can't guarantee the free and diverse access to the computer. For these reasons, in this paper, an Android-based mouse program for alternative computer access was developed. A people with physical disabilities who has some limitation of hand movements can use it in anywhere and anytime using only the fine motor skill of the upper limbs. The developed device recognizes the user's point touch and transforms it into the location of mouse cursor. The location information transferred to the computer via Bluetooth communication module equipped in smart devices. Also the group scanning method which can reduce the user's fatigue degree was employed and click, double click, drag & drop functions by hand's movements were equipped. The developed device will help the people with disabilities to use computer with brief touch and convenient operation without spatial limitation.

  • This paper proposes an efficient method for 3D modeling of a human face from trinocular images by reconstructing face surface using range data. By using a trinocular camera system, we mitigated the tradeoff between the occlusion problem and the range resolution limitation which is the critical limitation in binocular camera system. We also propose an MPC_MBS (Matching Pixel Count Multiple Baseline Stereo) area-based matching method to reduce boundary overreach phenomenon and to improve both of accuracy and precision in matching. In this method, the computing time can be reduced significantly by removing the redundancies. In the model generation sub-pixel accurate surface data are achieved by 2D interpolation of disparity values, and are sampled to make regular triangular meshes. The data size of the triangular mesh model can be controlled by merging the vertices that lie on the same plane within user defined error threshold.

  • A detailed analysis has been carried out of a zigzag traveling wave electro-optic laser modulator usin3 CuCl, KDP Crystal. The inclusion of such practical factors as M/W and optical loss results in an optimum design in which modulator dimensions and bandwidth limitation are uniquely determined by optical and M/W dielectic properties of modulating crystal. The main conclusion of the analysis are: (1) CuCl, KDP may be used to produce 50% modulation over bandwidth of 10(GHz) with less than (watt) of modulating power. (2) The upper modulation frequency limit is set by a cutoff frequency which arises from finite width of optical beam.

Effect of Changes in Targeted Milk Fat and Protein Contents on Feed Cost: a Simulation Modeling Approach (유지방율과 유단백율 증감이 사료비에 미치는 영향: 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용한 접근)

  • This study was conducted to investigate effect of changes in target fat and protein contents in milk on feed cost using a simulation modeling approach based on the 2001 dairy NRC. Two simulations were done; simulation I had a limitation (up to 20%), but simulation II had no limitation for the use of cottonseed hull in a diet. Using commonly used feed ingredients in Korea, we formulated least cost diets that meet nutrient requirement of a lactating dairy cow producing 36 kg of milk with combinations of 0.1% decrease or 0.1% increase in target milk fat or protein, respectively, from the national average milk fat (4.0%) and milk protein (3.1%). The contents of alfalfa and corn in a least-cost diet were decreased and those of tall fescue, whole cottonseed and rapeseed meal were increased with decreasing fat and/or increasing protein in milk. Scenarios that decreased target milk fat percentage from 4.0% to 3.9% reduced feed cost by 2 won per kg. Due to decrease in feed intake, daily feed cost was even more reduced (136 won per head) by decreasing target milk fat percentage. Increase in target milk protein percentage from 3.1% to 3.2% reduced feed cost by 6 won per kg. Among scenarios simulated, the least feed cost was obtained in scenario aimed for 3.9% fat and 3.2% of protein in milk. We conclude that a feeding practice for increasing milk protein percentage does not directly increase feed cost. In addition, feeding practices that increase protein content in milk is expected to improve economic life-span and reproductive performance of dairy cows.

An Empirical Study on the Structural Relationships among Colleague trustworthiness, Organizational trust and Organizational citizenship behaviors (동료신뢰성, 조직신뢰, 조직시민행동 간의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the structural relationships among colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB). To conduct such examination, the author (i) designated colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and OCB as variables and (ii) designed a research model by conducting preceding studies on the variables. To examine the research model the author collected the survey data from the 2 universities employees, 134 copies of questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. The analysis results are as follows. Especially, (1) there was no statistically significant relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. (2) it was found that higher degree of integrity the constructs of colleague trustworthiness would lead to higher degree of organizational trust. (3) organizational trust has been found to exert mediating effect on the relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. The implication and limitation which this study are as follows. First, this study has discovered that organizational trust is the important mediating variable that affect the process of relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. This study have limitation in that was conducted based on cross-sectional design of research. Because, the formation of trust is a dynamic process.

  • This study aims to examine theoretical frame work of franchise restaurant, the characteristics of store manager's job and the level of their job satisfaction through an empirical investigation. Job satisfaction survey study shows that store managers consider important all work to be attended to as part of their duty with service management on top. It is also found that the majority of store managers consider their aptitude as most important job satisfaction factor and those, who are satisfied with their job content, advancement and the prospect, are more proactive in delivering qualify service and more than willing to commit themselves to their duties. Regrading demographical variables, store managers with scholarly competence and higher pay level are more likely to be satisfied with their job but married men are not satisfied with the work environment in general. Ergo, Businesses should correspond by capitalizing on those store managers content with their duty thus collecting additional information and providing opportunities to further contribute to the business. For those dissatisfied individuals, however, businesses should determine their demands and by educational training supply a motive therefore making possible the conversion of such individuals to satisfied store managers and their active participation in business management. But, as with any study, this one has a number of limitation which constraints the generalizability of the empirical findings. It has not been for long since franchise restaurants established in domestic market and has been few studies regarding this topic there. Furthermore, managers are not willing to release operation related data. Therefore, further study are urged to overcome this limitation and should examine other dimensions of job satisfaction such as relations between revenue and profit with the level of store manager's job satisfaction remain to be investigated.

Steady-State/Transient Performance Simulation of the Propulsion System for the Canard Rotor Wing UAV during Flight Mode Transition

  • A steady-state/transient performance simulation model was newly developed for the propulsion system of the CRW (Canard Rotor Wing) type UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) during flight mode transition. The CRW type UAV has a new concept RPV (Remotely Piloted Vehicle) which can fly at two flight modes such as the take-off/landing and low speed forward flight mode using the rotary wing driven by engine bypass exhaust gas and the high speed forward flight mode using the stopped wing and main engine thrust. The propulsion system of the CRW type UAV consists of the main engine system and the duct system. The flight vehicle may generally select a proper type and specific engine with acceptable thrust level to meet the flight mission in the propulsion system design phase. In this study, a turbojet engine with one spool was selected by decision of the vehicle system designer, and the duct system is composed of main duct, rotor duct, master valve, rotor tip-jet nozzles, and variable area main nozzle. In order to establish the safe flight mode transition region of the propulsion system, steady-state and transient performance simulation should be needed. Using this simulation model, the optimal fuel flow schedules were obtained to keep the proper surge margin and the turbine inlet temperature limitation through steady-state and transient performance estimation. Furthermore, these analysis results will be used to the control optimization of the propulsion system, later. In the transient performance model, ICV (Inter-Component Volume) model was used. The performance analysis using the developed models was performed at various flight conditions and fuel flow schedules, and these results could set the safe flight mode transition region to satisfy the turbine inlet temperature overshoot limitation as well as the compressor surge margin. Because the engine performance simulation results without the duct system were well agreed with the engine manufacturer's data and the analysis results using a commercial program, it was confirmed that the validity of the proposed performance model was verified. However, the propulsion system performance model including the duct system will be compared with experimental measuring data, later.

  • Generally, the building's windows and ventilation for the purpose of mining and the vista and windows by emotional engineering design area is a growing trend. According to the flow of energy is lost from the building, will be achieved through the walls and roof and windows. Among these, the window through the loss of about 45% of the entire building is big enough to rate. In addition, the building regulation U-value Limitation of window is $3.3W/m^2$ K in southern regions, while U-value Limitation of wall is $0.35{\sim}0.58W/m^2$ K. It means that the energy loss through windows is six times more than it through wall. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the environmental performance of the super window system by verification experiment. The results of this study are as follows; 1)Thermal performance of insulated Super Window measured as $1.44W/m^2$ $^{\circ}C$ 2)Required energy for heating was cut down about 5.3% from 266.99 $MJ/m^2$ yr to 252.85 $MJ/m^2$ yr 3)Super Window's reduction rates increased 4.1% from 31.48% to 35.58% when it is compared to normal windows. 4)Building energy efficiency rating elevated from 2nd rating to 1st rating.

  • Is need Remote Access through internet for business of Ubiquitous Computing age, and apply OTP for confidentiality about inputed ID and Password, network security of integrity. Current OTP must be possessing hardware of Token, and there is limitation in security. Install a Snooping tool to OTP network in this treatise, and because using Cain, enforce ARP Cache poisoning attack and confirm limitation by Snooping about user password. Wish to propose new system that can apply Tokenless OTP by new security way, and secure confidentiality and integrity. Do test for access control inflecting Tokenless OTP at Remote Access from outside, and could worm and do interface control with certification system in hundred. Even if encounter hacking at certification process, thing that connection is impossible without pin number that only user knows confirmed. Because becoming defense about outward flow and misuse and hacking of password when apply this result Tokenless OTP, solidify security, and evaluated by security system that heighten safety.
