  • The effects of environmental factors on the extracellular release of organic carbon by Scenedesmus qudricauda were studied. The PER (percentage extracellular release) was greater at high temperature and at high concentration of nitrogen and phosphate. The PER variation according to the change of M/P ratio showed high values at each extreme N/P ratio. This result suggested that the limitation of nitrogen or phosphorous resulted in the accumulation of carbohydrates as photosynthetic products, and the products in high concentration were excreted through algal cell membrane.

  • In this paper, an optimal tuning Algorithms is presented to automatically improve the performance of fuzzy controller, using the simplified reasoning method and the proposed complex method. The method estimates automatically the optimal values of the parameters of fuzzy controller, according to the change rate and limitation condition of output. The controller is applied to plants with dead time. Then, computer simulations are conducted at step input and the performances are evaluated in the ITAE.

  • Image-based rendering is an approach to generate realistic images in real-time without modeling explicit 3D geometry, Especially, TIP(Tour Into the Picture) is preferred for its simplicity in constructing 3D background scene. However, TP has a limitation that a viewpoint cannot go far from the origin of the TIP for the lack of geometrical information. in this paper, we propose a method to interpolating the TIP images to generate smooth and realistic navigation. We construct multiple TIP models in a wide area of the virtual environment. Then we interpolate foreground objects and background object respectively to generate smooth navigation results.

  • This paper discusses the spectral efficiency and performance of asynchronous direct sequency spread spectrum multiple access systems strict bandwidth limitation by Nyquist filtering. The signal to noise plus interference ratio(SNIR) at the output from the correlation receiver is derived analytically taking the cross correlation characteristics of spreading sequences into account, and also an approximated SNIR of a simple form is presented for the systems employing Gold sequences. Based on the analyzed result of SNIR, bit error rate performance and spectral efficiency are also estimated. and at last, we analyzed improvement rate using RS, convolution as a method for improving functions.

  • Sub 10-nm thick of Si plate is simulated with the software for Nanowire Field Effect Transistor (FET) device simulation. With usual single crystal Si technology, it is difficult to realize flexible electronic devices. Here, we suggest a FET device based on thinned Si layer. The simulation implied a practical limitation of the Si plate thickness for flexible devices as 2 nm. With around this thickness, Si plate may have much flexibility than existing bulk MOSFETs.

  • Bio-electronics has been considered as one of the most appropriate candidates to overcome the frequently encountered problems in the development of future electronic devices. It has some advantages such as ultra fast electron transfer rate and high-energy efficiency compared with the silicon-based electronic devices. In silicon-based electronics, there are some of limitations of manufacturing process and physical problems. Bio-electronics can overcome the limitation and problem of silicon-based electronics. Bio-electronics has possible application areas as biosensor, biochip, bio-transistor and bio-computer. In the future, bio-electronics can substitute the silicon-based electronics.

  • The purpose of this article is to introduce ocean energy and its application. In recent years, the energy consumption and requirement of fossil resources are increased due to the advanced life style. But, the amount of fossil fuels have limitation. Also, it is difficult to construct new large power plant facilities for the production of electric energy. Therefore, the necessities to study and to find out other energy resources are increased more and more. In the ocean, the efforts of using tide, wave, tidal current and thermal energy are should be attempt. To satisfy the needs, corporation is required among the government, research institute, university and company.

  • Switched Reluctance Generator attracts much attention because of high efficiency, simple controllability with traction drive. But the theories that have been adopted as SRG control methods are complicated up to the present. This paper proposes reference current limitation strategy for stable generation and switching angle control in motoring mode. The proposed method is verified by simulation and experiments.
