Binding Subsites In the Active Site of $Zn^{2+}$-Glycerophosphocholine Cholinephosphodiesterase

  • The properties of binding sites in the active site of $Zn^{2+}$-glycerophosphocholine cholinephosphodiesterase were examined using substrates and inhibitors of the enzyme. Phosphodiesterase hydrolyzed p-nitrophenylphosphocholine, p-aminophenylphosphocholine, and glycerophosphocholine, but did not hydrolyze either acylated glycerophosphocholine or bis (p-nitrophenyl)phosphate, suggesting a size limitation for interaction with a glyceryl moiety-binding subsite. The hydrolysis of p-nitrophenylphosphocholine was competitively inhibited by glycerophosphocholine and p-aminophenylphosphocholine, while glycerophosphoethanolamine was a weak inhibitor. The enzyme was also inhibited by choline, but not by ethanolamine. Thiocholine, a much more potent inhibitor than choline, was more inhibitory than cysteamine, suggesting a strict specificity of an anionic subsite adjacent to a $Zn^{2+}$ subsite. Of all oxyanions tested, the tellurite ion was found to strongly inhibit the enzyme by binding to a $Zn^{2+}$ subsite. The inhibitory role of tellurite was synergistically enhanced by tetraalkylammonium salts, but not by glycerol. Deactivation of the enzyme by diethylpyrocarbonate was partially protected by choline, but not by glycerophosphate. It is suggested that the active site of phosphodiesterase contains three binding subsites.

  • Space may be a scarce resource in manufacturing shops, warehouses, freight terminals, and container terminals. This Paper discusses how to locate temporary storage Inventories In limited storage areas. A typical inventory is delivered from the location of the preceding process to the storage area and stored In the storage area during the certain period of time. And it may be relocated from the storage position to another. Finally. it is delivered from the final storage area to the location of the next process. Because this logistic process for an inventory requires handling activities, transportation activities, and storage spaces, the limitation in capacities of handling equipment, transportation equipment, and storage space must be considered when allocating spaces to the inventory. This problem Is modeled as a multicommodity minimal cost flow problem. And a heuristic algorithm for the Problem is proposed. Numerical experiments are presented to validate the mathematical model and the heuristic algorithm.

  • 기존의 일관성 개념은 임의적인 평가를 가정하고 있으며, 실제 AHP procedure에 반영되는 개념의 기준이 아닌 RI를 통해서 정의 내리고 있다. 수식적인 관점에서도, 경험적인 상대 비율을 통해 CR이 계산되어지고 있으며, 타당한 평가행렬이 Discard될 수도 있다. 이상적인 평가기준을 제시하는 것이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 기존 AHP 절차에 있어서 일관성 기준의 개념 및 적용과 9점 척도의 한계성에 의한 문제점을 제시하고 이 문제점을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 쌍대 행렬 평가기준을 제시하고자 한다.

  • We had experienced a case of traumatic myositis ossificans arising in right masseter muscle, inferior to zygomatic arch occurred on 25 year old male. He had some trauma on the site one year ago and visited with complaint of mouth opening limitation and swelling. Palpable mass with facial disfigurement was noted. and several ovoid radiopaque masses were revealed on C.T. examination. On histopathologic examination, multiple bone trabeculae with osteoblasts in its periphery was noted in connective tissues and invaded to neighbouring muscles, but any chondroid components were not revealed.

  • This work proposes a neural network approach to solve vehicle routing problems which have diverse application areas such as vehicle routing and robot programming. In solving these problems, classical mathematical approaches have many difficulties. In particular, it is almost impossible to implement a real-time vehicle routing with multiple vehicles. Recently, many researchers proposed methods to overcome the limitation by adopting heuristic algorithms, genetic algorithms, neural network techniques and others. The most basic model for path planning is the Travelling Salesman Problem(TSP) for a minimum distance path. We extend this for a problem with dynamic upcoming of new positions with multiple vehicles. In this paper, we propose an algorithm based on SOM(Self-Organization Map) to obtain a sub-optimal solution for a real-time vehicle routing problem. We develope a model of a generalized multiple TSP and suggest and efficient solving procedure.

  • The ultra precision machining in industrial field are increased day by day. The diamond turning has been used generally, but now is faced with limitation of use, because of higher requirement of production field. The electron beam lithography is alternative in machining area as semiconductor production. For EB lithography, 5 axis vacuum stage is required to duplicate small and large patterns on wafer. The stage is composed of 2 rotational axis and 3 translational axis with 5 DC servo motors. The positioning repeatability and resolution of Z axis feed unit are 3.21$\mu$m and 0.5 $\mu$m/step enough to apply to lithography.

  • This Paper is to aim the microdefect evaluation of semiconductor Package into a quantitative from NDI's image processing of ultrasonic wave. ([) The least limitation from the microdefect detection of the semiconductor package by surveying high ultrasonic wave seems to be about 0.8 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in degree.   • In this paper, the electric field distribution and directivity on human head caused by portable phone is analyzed. An analysis model is composed of a human head model and the antenna mounted on the same ground plane as portable telephone size. The QMSA to load a capacitor without limitation of the electric force is used In the computational model to apply to the antenna mounted on portable phone. This antenna is designed to operate in the near of frequency 2.0㎓, is observed the radiation characteristics of the antenna and their variations as a function of distance from the human head.

  • More than twenty methods were suggested for Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) in the field of safety analysis for Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). However, there is still a high uncertainty on the analysis and a difficulty in performing HRA. New methods and approaches are under studying to overcome such limitations of current HRA. This paper presents some results of study to analysis limitations of current HRA in viewpoint of user, i.e., HRA analyst. The limitation analysis was based on 89 human error events modeled in a Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) project for NPPs in Korea. Total 17 specific limitations were identified and categorized into seven groups. Important analysis has also been undertaken to assess the order of priority among those limitations. Finally, seven requirements with priority ranking were generated for an advanced framework and methodology of HRA.

  • In the present work, we have interests on the modification of parallel implemented with MPI(Message Passing Interface) programming method, 3-Dimensional, unsteady, incompressible Navier-Stokes equation solver to analyze the low-Reynolds number flow In order to accurate calculation aerodynamic coefficients in low-Reynolds number flow field, we modified the two-equation turbulence model. This paper describes the development and validation of a new two-equation model for the prediction of flow transition. It is based on Mentor's low Reynolds $\kappa-\omega$ model with modifications to include Total Stresses Limitation (TSL) and Separation Transition Trigger (STT)
