모바일 플랫폼 상황이해엔진 (A Context-Aware Engine for Mobile Platforms)

  • 지능로봇이나 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 주변의 상황정보를 파악하여 이를 바탕으로 적당한 서비스를 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 상황에 따른 서비스를 탐색하여 제공하는 유용한 플랫폼으로 규칙기반 시스템을 활용하는 연구가 많이 진행되어왔다. 이 논문에서는 상황이해 서비스를 위한 규칙기반 시스템의 특성에 대해서 기술하고, 이를 바탕으로 설계하여 구현한 규칙기반 상황이해 서비스 엔진에 대해서 기술한다 구현한 상황이해 엔진은 임베이드 환경을 비롯한 모바일 환경에서도 동작할 수 있도록 수행속도와 메모리요구량에 대한 고려를 하여 설계되었다.

  • As an aging society accelerates its pace for the present, providing a pleasant environment to nursing homes is such an environmental requirement with which elderly people could improve their quality of life and even acquire the effects of healing. As an optimal element of ensuring amenity, nature is a general hospital that heals human beings physically and mentally. In this vein, the investigator drew out the frame of analysis, namely emotional/healing/relating amenity, by means of theoretical examination of such natural elements as water, light, soil/stone, and plant. And on the basis of the drawn amenity, the investigator examined the application of natural elements to study subjects in order to analyze the ensured amenity. Study findings show that the existing nursing homes have ensured healing amenity sufficiently, but they are unsatisfactory in ensuring emotional and relating amenity. Based on interview survey, the investigator suggests that the introduction of natural elements into nursing homes such public space as mediation space, interaction space, and rest places to ensure emotional/healing/relating amenity must be ideally equipped with the formation of outdoor forest in which water, light, soil/stone, and plant get joined together, rather than Introducing a single element respectively. In addition, the plan of construction of nursing homes must take residing elderly people's emotional/healing/relating amenity into account on the basis of physical amenity.

A New Switched Flux Machine Employing Alternate Circumferential and Radial Flux (AlCiRaF) Permanent Magnet for Light Weight EV

  • Currently, an interest in electric vehicles (EVs) exhibited by automakers, government agencies and customers make it as more attractive research. This is due to carbon dioxide emitted by conventional combustion engine that worsens the greenhouse effect nowadays. Since electric motors are the core of EVs, it is a pressing need for researchers to develop advanced electric motors. As one of the candidates, switched flux machine (SFM) is initiated in order to cope with the requirement. This paper proposes a new alternate circumferential and radial flux (AlCiRaF) of permanent magnet switched flux machines (PMSFM) for light weight electric vehicles. Firstly, AlCiRaF PMSFM is compared with the conventional PMSFM based on some design restrictions and specifications. Then the design refinements techniques are conducted by using deterministic optimization method in order to improve preliminary performance of machine. Finally the optimized machine design has achieved maximum torque and power of 47.43 Nm and 12.85 kW, respectively, slightly better than that of conventional PMSFM.

  • LTV(Light Tactical Vehicle) operating in our military requires higher levels of performance and durability to withstand harsher conditions than general vehicles, as they must travel on both rough-train and off-road as well as on public roads. Recently, LTV development is demanded a variety of test evaluations in order to satisfy ROC (Required Operational Capability) by the military requirement. However, there is no informations of driving test course for satisfying the durability performance of Korean tactical vehicle. Therefore, this study aims to provide basic data to establish reliable drive test conditions by analyzing the main maneuvering test site at the domestic and foreign country in order to select the representative drive course. These studies will provide a more scientific and systematic evaluation solution for the development of tactical vehicles, and can be effectively used to establish a certified system for military vehicle test evaluation in the future

다인공구의 파손검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fracture Detection of Multi-Point-Tool)

  • In modern industry the requirement of automation of manufacturing process increases so that unmanned system has been popular as an ultimate goal of modern manufacturing process. In unmanned manufacturing process the tool fracture is a very serious problem because it results in the damage of workpieces and can stop the operation of whole manufa- turing system. In this study, image processing technique is used to detect the fracture of insert tip of face milling using multi-point-tool. In order to acquire the image information of fracture shape of rotation insert tip. We set up the optical system using a light beam chopper. In this system we can reduce the image degradation generated from stopped image of rotating insert tip using image restoration technique. We calculated the mean square error to diagnose the condition of tool fracture, and determind the criteria of tool fracture using experimental and staticstical method. From the results of this study we've developed non- contact detection technique of tool fracture using image processing method and proposed the fracture direction of automation and unmanned system considering the optimal time of tool change milling.

  • Effective climate protection is a most important tasks of our time. The BIPV is one of the most interesting and promisingly possibilities of an active use of solar energy at the building. In this study it was analyzed by the case study the function of the requirement of the BIPV-module as building material and this architectural characteristic according to the kind of the module. Therefore the goal of this study is to get securing the application information of BIPV as windowpane. BIPV modules are manufactured in the form of G/G. In the case of the crystal type the Transparent and the light Transmission is to be adjusted by the spacer attitude of the cell. Although this type could not be optimal for light effect of indoors because of the inequality of shade, the moving shade play makes a dramatic Roomimage by the run of sun. The application of this type would be for canopy, window or roof in the corridor or resounds. With amorphous the type it is to be manufactured simply largely laminar, and thus that will shorten building process. There is a relatively good economy to use and to the window system easily. After the production technology is easy the transparency of the modules to adjust, and the module shows to a high degree constant characteristics of light permeability and transparency. Without mottle of module shade is good the use for the window or roof glazing of office, library, classroom, etc. to adapt. The BIPV modules took generally speaking a function as building material to the daylight use, shading, isolation and also to the sight. That means that BIPV modules have as multifunctional system to sustainable architecture good successes and they are at the same time as Design element for architecture effectively.

경량전철 차량기지 동적 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of Dynamic Simulator for Light Rail Transit Depot)

  • 저탄소 녹색성장의 시대를 맞아 철도 교통의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 하지만 차량기지 시뮬레이션에 대한 연구는 부족한편이다. 본 논문은 경량전철(LRT:Light Rail Transit) 차량기지에 대한 동적 시뮬레이터 개발에 관한 논문이다. 시뮬레이션툴에 대한 요구사항 분석, 시뮬레이션 툴 아키텍처, 데이터베이스 설계, 시뮬레이션 알고리즘, 시뮬레이션 툴 설계 및 개발에 대해 설명하고 있다. 경량전철 차량기지 동적 시뮬레이터는 선로정보, 열차정보, 신호 및 분기기 정보, 열차작업정보, 역사정보 등을 편집하는 네트워크 편집기와 열차주행 알고리즘을 연산하는 시뮬레이터, 시뮬레이션 결과를 표 및 그래프로 조회하는 리포터와 시뮬레이션 결과를 동적으로 애니메이션을 통해 확인할 수 있는 애니메이터의 4가지 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 경량전철 차량기지 동적 시뮬레이터에 대한 구조 및 설계, 개발에 대한 전반적인 내용을 다룬 본 연구는 시뮬레이터를 새로 개발하는 경우 좋은 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

캐리어 분배에 의한 OFDM 스타망에 관한 고찰 (OFDM Star Network Based on Carrier Distribution)

  • In this paper we suggest an OFDM star network based on carrier distribution and homodyne detection in which all optical carriers generated and stabilized in a specific node are distributed to each node. We studied ASK and PSK modulation schemes and calculated rspective SNRs and BERs for this network. We also discussed on the optical power requirement on the light sources for 200 Mb/s transmission speed. As a result, we found tht ASK and PSK respectively require 13 dBm and 10 dBm for 32 nodes and the nmber of nodes can be expanded to 73 with only 0 dBm of power and minimum insertion losses of components. The proposed network is more reliable than the conventional ones due to the centralized carrier maintenance andthe network is suitable for the adverse environment of the nodes.

  • Two different kinds of subjects are discussed. One is " Enhanced color space for displays" and the other one is"An application for large format displays". Originally defined color space by NTSC has never been used widely for TVs and information displays as there have been no available display devices. LCD panels with new light sources for backlighting will provide much wider color space. LCD monitors which use these new panels will meet almost 100% with the color space defined by NTSC or Adobe. Now, It is the time to deploy wider color space defined by such as the NTSC or Adobe as the standard of LCD display panels. As the large format display devices with reasonable price have not been available till plasma panels became available, application of these panels as an information display in public space is a quite new experience for us. Various kinds of practical applications are observed and coming out. It will generate many and new types of businesses.

LPG 엔진 모델링 및 ECM 설계에 관한 연구 (Development of An Engine Modeling and an Engine Control Module for an LPG Engine)

  • Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been widely used for commercial light-duty vehicles worldwide. Since LPG has a higher octane number and a lower maximum combustion temperature than gasoline , it becomes more popular fuel for reducing exhaust emissions. In tihs study, mathematical models of air intake and fuel delivery system are presented, and a PI-controller is designed for air-fuel ratio control. Hardware and software of an engine control module (ECM) are designed for an LPG engine. The ECM is built using a Motorola MC68HC05. In order to control the air-fuel ratio at stoichiometry, the PI-control algorithm is implemented in the ECM. The experiment results show the proto LPG ECM and its control scheme perform well to meet the stoichiometric air-duel ratio requirement.
