A study on hybrid solar LED street light system (하이브리드 태양광 LED 가로등 시스템 연구)

  • In line with the rapid economic growth of many countries, fossil fuel energy sources are also rapidly depleting. Therefore, the price is also rising rapidly, so it is necessary to develop new and renewable energy sources such as hydropower, geothermal power, nuclear power, wind power and solar energy to replace fossil fuel energy in the future. In this study, development of rotating concentrator module system, development of rotating module control control system, development of lamp and charge control controller, configuration and prototype production of rotating concentrating solar LED street light system, efficiency of rotating concentrating solar LED street light, and power production. The research was conducted in the order of evaluation of comprehensive performance tests such as consumption and consumption. As a result, the developed high-efficiency rotation-concentrating hybrid solar LED street light module system has a 50% higher light-gathering efficiency than existing products by tracing sunlight by self-developing a rotation-collecting module on existing solar LED street lamps according to the characteristics of Korea's topography. and the power generation was improved by more than 40%.

  • This paper Proposes 40 [KVA] rated SIV(Static Inverter) system for Light Rail Transit. The SIV Provide power of a fluorescent light in the car, Air-conditioner. and other equipments. To control output voltage it is used voltage control loop for constant voltage control and simultaneously used current control loop for instantaneous control at load changing. The Performance of SIV system will be verified by experimental results.

  • This paper represents the electric energy saving using light control system. Without Light Control System(LCS), it is very hard to classify the amount of electric energy saving for lighting, since it is determined by the end-user's preference in times. Typical LCS has an fixed algorithm to control each light's intensity by ON/Off Control, Step Control, or Dimming Control. We have studied the electric energy saving effect in a LCS equiped building with natural lighting. The electric power consumption at the peak power consumption time with LCS reduced up to 65% of the non-controled case.

  • Train control system in LRT (Light Rail Transit) is developed as a part of "Light Rail Transit System Development Project". But there was no specific requirement representing the system safety. Because system safety must be ensured before the customization, we applied the system to a officially recognized specific procedure, such as "A Guideline to Ensure the Safety of Train Control System in Korea" that was officially announced by KNR (Korea National Railroad) in 2001. We should draw system safely requirement to guarantee system safety for the first time. In this paper, the hazard identification and analysis to derive the safety requirement on LRT train control system are carried out following the KNR guideline. To analyze hazard, we have to deduce system functions, identify related hazards, derive the effects of the hazards, analyze current risk, define the target risk of the system, and deduce the alternative plans to reduce the effects of the hazards. After the hazard analysis following the upper procedure, 30 hazards are identified and analysed. Especially detailed analysis on train collision that is a main hazard of the train control of system is specially carried out.

  • LED lighting is used as artificial lighting for plant growth because it has high light efficiency and can radiate light of various wavelengths. In this paper, we have developed new structure LED lighting module to improve the performance of LED lighting for plant growth and proposed a lighting control system that can be controlled wirelessly. The proposed LED lighting module was fabricated using optical lens applied to tunnel light and simulated using Relux program. Results of simulation, we confirmed that the light distribution and average illuminance of the proposed lighting were improved. LED lighting control system was developed to wirelessly control R, G, B, W LED lighting according to plant type and growing season. Therefore, it is expected to provide the optimal lighting environment for plant growth and contribute to the improvement of farm productivity and convenience.

  • this paper deals with HVDC Light(High Voltage Direct Current) system using space vector PWM(SVPWM) method. Because the system of this paper has d-q control scheme for HVDC Light system. HVDC Light system represented in this paper is capable of controlling active and reactive power independently. For this system. V-I curve and control methods are proposed. Also this paper describes the design of a digital system for applications in power converters such as those that would be used in the next generation of HVDC system.   • In this paper, A web-based server system was developed based on PDA(Personal Digital Assistants) for controlling and managing light facilities on-line with wireless communication efficiently. The control box of current light facilities may be implemented based on simple operational function. The operational quality of the light facilities will be efficiently improved with some practical advantages such as reduction of required facility, manpower and time in managing the lights and control boxes by using the popular PDA.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new dimming control method in a visible light communication (VLC) system wherein byteinversion is adopted for flicker-free transmission. In the VLC transmitter, the original and the inverted data were sent sequentially and the remnant time in one period was used for the dimming control of the LED light. In the VLC receiver, only the original data was recovered using the gating signal whose width was the same as the length of the original data. In our experiments, the dimming control ranges were measured to be 22%-53%, 11%-76%, and 5%-88% of the CW LED light when the data rates were 9.6, 19.2, and 38.4 kbps, respectively. In this system, we used a 240-Hz sync pulse whose period was 4.16 ms, which was shorter than the maximum flickering time period of 5 ms that is generally considered to be safe. This configuration is very simple and useful in constructing indoor wireless sensor networks using the flicker-free LED lamps with dimming control capability.

  • In this study, an embedded ranging system based on a laser structured light image is developed. The distance measurement by the structured light image processing has efficient computation because the burdensome correspondence problem is avoidable. In order to achieve robustness against environmental illumination noise and real-time laser structured light image processing, a bandpass optical filter is adopted in this study. The proposed ranging system has an embedded image processor performing the whole image processing and distance measurement, and so reduces the computational burden in the main control system. A system calibration algorithm is presented to compensate for the lens distortion.
