부부의 가사노동시간 변화 : 2004년-2014년 생활시간조사자료 분석 (Changes in the Time Spent on Housework of Married Couples : Analysis of Korea Time Use Survey from 2004 to 2014)

  • This study examined the factors that were associated with longitudinal changes for ten years from 2004 to 2014 in time spent on housework by married couples who had a preschooler as their first-born child. It also sought to figure out how much of such temporal changes were attributable to differences in the means on associated factors as well as to differences in the influence or slope of such factors. A total of 9,668 time diaries from the Korean Time Use Survey were used to analyze the influence of couple's weekly work hours, wife's relative income, couple's education and gender role attitudes on the time spent on housework of husbands and wives. Results from descriptive statistics, regression and decomposition analysis were as follows. First, women decreased, while men increased their time doing housework. Second, weekly work hours of husband and wife were related to their time doing housework in every year surveyed. Third, wife's relative earnings and couple's gender role attitudes affected wife's time doing housework more than husbands', whereas couple's education had stronger effects on husbands than wives. However, such influence was apparent on a certain survey year, and then disappeared in another, or became stronger or weaker longitudinally. Fourth, the temporal decrease in wife's housework time and increase in husband's housework time were attributable to social and cultural changes such as reduced working hours, rising female income, higher educational background, and prevalence of egalitarian gender role attitudes. Findings suggest that the trend in spending time on housework is expected to continue, and provide a timely policy implications to facilitate the change.

청소년의 스마트폰 사용으로 인한 문제경험 관련요인 (Factors Related with Problems Experienced by Adolescents due to Smartphone Use)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems experienced by Korean adolescents due to smartphone use and related factors. Methods: The subjects were 57,463 middle school and high school students nationwide as the 13th The Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey, 2017. Data were analyzed using means, standard deviations, and composite sample multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: This study confirms that negative experiences were related to general characteristics of sex, academic background, socio-economic level, residential area and form, academic performance, and parental education; health behavior characteristics of subjective health cognition, depression, and stress; and characteristics related to smartphone use. Smartphone usage time amd use of services were factors related to the problems experienced from using smartphones. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to plan for the use of smartphones in consideration of physical and emotional health and to educate adolescents to promote social communication between family and friends. It is also necessary to develop and apply a smartphone use management program to maintain a balance between smartphone use, academic performance, and school life.

대학생을 대상으로한 구조화된 시간 사용과 웰빙(well-being)의 상관관계 (Relationship between Structured Time Use and Well-being for University Students)

  • 목적: 대학생을 대상으로 구조화된 시간 사용과 웰빙(well-being)의 상관성을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 233명의 대학생들에게 설문지를 배부하여 233부를 회수하였고, 그 중 기록이 미비한 설문지 10부를 제외하고, 총 223부가 본 연구의 분석 자료로 사용되었다. 구조화된 시간사용 설문지와 웰빙을 측정하기 위해서 한국판 세계보건기구 삶의 질 척도, 삶의 기대척도, 삶의 만족척도, 주관적 행복척도를 사용하였다. 설문 시간은 평균 20분정도 소요되었다. 기술통계를 사용하여 일반적인 특정과 설문지의 평균값을 알아보았고, 구조화된 시간 사용과 웰빙의 상관성은 피어슨 상관분석을 사용하였다. 결과: 구조화된 시간 사용과 웰빙은 전체적으로 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 구조화된 시간사용 설문지의 하부항목 중 효과적인 조직화는 삶의 만족척도와 삶의 기대척도에서, 미래방향은 삶의 질, 삶의 만족척도, 주관적 행복척도에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 그 외에는 모두 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다(p<.05). 결론: 구조화된 시간사용과 웰빙의 상관관계를 알아봄으로써 우리는 시간 관리의 중요성을 알 수 있었다. 작업치료는 수행요소를 중재하는 치료에서 나아가 고객의 시간을 관리해줌으로써 개인의 삶을 웰빙하게 하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 앞으로는 구조화된 시간사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 연구 또한 이루어져야 할 것이다.

초등학교 6학년생들의 과학자의 생활시간에 대한 인식 (The Sixth-Grade Students' Conceptions of a Scientist's Time Use)

  • 이 연구는 두 가지 목적으로 수행되었다:(1) 초등학생들이 작성한 평일과 일요일 과학자와 회사원의 하루 일과표의 비교를 통해 과학자의 생활시간에 대한 인식을 조사하고, (2) 학생 및 교사의 과학자 및 과학자가 하는 일에 대한 이미지 조사 방법으로서 '과학자의 일과표 그리기 (DASS: Drawing a Scientist's Schedule)' 의 가능성을 검토하는 것이다. 이를 위해 공주시 소재 초등학교 1개 학급 6학년 30명(남:15명, 여:15명)이 본 연구에 참가하였다. 이들이 작성한 하루일과표와 이에 대한 면담을 통해 과학자와 회사원의 생활시간(필수, 의무 및 여가생활시간)을 비교 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 학생들은 회사원에 비해 과학자의 의무생활시간은 많고 필수생활시간이나 여가생활시간은 적다고 인식하고 있으며 일요일에는 더욱 두드러진 양상을 보인다. 둘째, 학생들의 인식하고 있는 과학자와 회사원의 필수생활시간에 있어 차이는 수면시간의 차이에 의한 것이며, 과학자의 수면시간과 관련하여 학생들의 인식은 회사원에 비해 다양함을 보인다. 셋째, 학생들은 과학자가 회사원에 비해 의무생활시간 중 직업과 관련된 일을 하는데 사용하는 시간은 많으나, 가정관리와 관련된 일을 위한 시간은 적을것이라고 인식하는 경향을 보인다. 넷째, 학생들이 생각하는 과학자의 여가생활시간은 회사원에 비해 적을 뿐 아니라 그 활동 유형에도 차이를 보인다. 다섯째, '과학자의 일과표 그리기(DASS: Drawing a Scientist's Schedule)'를 통해 학생들이 인식하고 있는 과학자의 생활모습에 대한 다양한 정보 뿐 아니라 기존에 널리 활용되고 있는 DAST로는 분석하기 어려운 학생들의 과학자와 과학자가 하는 일에 대한 이미지를 분석해냄으로써 새로운 접근방식으로서 그 가능성과 유용성을 보였다.

  • 가정용 LPG(Liquefied petroleum gas)저압조정기의 성능 및 수명평가를 위하여, 저압조정기의 사용경과에 대한 안전장치의 성능, 조정압력 및 폐쇄압력, 조정 스프링 및 다이어프램의 기계적 물성을 분석하였다. 실험결과, 사용시간의 경과에 따른 조정성능 및 물성저하가 관찰되었으며, 사용기간 6년 이상의 조정기는 성능 저하가 매우 심각한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Plasma etching process employs high density plasma to create surface chemistry and physical reactions, by which to remove material. Plasma chamber includes silicon-based materials such as a focus ring and gas distribution plate. Focus ring needs to be replaced after a short period. For this reason, there is a need to find materials resistant to erosion by plasma. The developed chemical vapor deposition processing to produce silicon carbide parts with high purity has also supported its widespread use in the plasma etch process. Silicon carbide maintains mechanical strength at high temperature, it have been use to chamber parts for plasma. Recently, besides the structural aspects of silicon carbide, its electrical conductivity and possibly its enhanced life time under high density plasma with less generation of contamination particles are drawing attention for use in applications such as upper electrode or focus rings, which have been made of silicon for a long time. However, especially for high purity silicon carbide focus ring, which has usually been made by the chemical vapor deposition method, there has been no study about quality improvement. The goal of this study is to reduce surface roughness and depth of damage by diamond tool grit size and tool dressing of diamond tools for precise dimensional assurance of focus rings.

수소/공기/희석제 혼합기의 점화지연과 화학반응 특성연구 (Characteristics of Chemical Reaction and Ignition Delay in Hydrogen/Air/Diluent Mixtures)

  • Hydrogen is considered a cleaner energy source than fossil fuels. As a result, the use of hydrogen in daily life and economic industries is expected to increase. However, the use of hydrogen energy is currently limited because of safety issues. The rate of combustion of the hydrogen mixture is about seven times higher than that of hydrocarbon fuels. The hydrogen mixture is highly flammable and has a low minimum ignition energy. Therefore, it presents considerable risks for fire and explosions in all areas of hydrogen manufacturing, transportation, storage, and use. In this study, the auto-ignition characteristics of hydrogen were investigated numerically for diluted hydrogen mixtures. Auto-ignition temperature, a critical property predicting the fire and explosion risk in hydrogen combustion, was determined in well-stirred reactors. When N2 and CO2 were used to dilute the hydrogen/air mixture, the ignition delay time increased with increasing dilution ratios in both cases. The CO2-diluted mixtures exhibited a longer ignition delay than the N2-diluted mixtures. We also confirmed that lower initial ignition temperatures increased the ignition delay times at 950 K and above. Overall, the auto-ignition characteristics, such as the concentrations of participating species and ignition delay times, were primarily affected by the initial temperature of the mixture.

맞벌이 부부의 여가시간과 영향요인에 관한연구 (A Study on the Amount and Determinants of Leisure Time in the Dual-Earner Couples.)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine; 1) the difference of the amount between husbands' and wife's leisure time in dual-earner household. 2) the relationship between leisure time of each spouse and selected demographic/socioeconomic measures and use of time in paid work and household work. Empirical survey was conducted by using structured questionaire and time-diary. The sample of this study were 98 dual-earner couples. The major findings were that; 1) the leisure time of husbands and wives were not significantly different on weekday. But husbands had significantly more leisure time than wives on Sunday : husband's mean minutes equal 444, while wife's mean minutes equal 350. 2) on weekday time spent in paid work and household work leisure time of spouse were significantly related to the leisure time of both husband and wife. In addition paid worktime of spouse was significantly related to the leisure time of husband. On Sunday household worktime leisure time of spouse w re significantly related to the leisure time of both husband and wife. 3) on weekday selected sociodemographic measures were not significantly related to the leisure time of both husband and wife. On Sunday degree of wife's education husband's income were significantly related to the leisure time of wife and age of younger child was significantly related to the leisure time of husband.

The Effect of Exposure in Elevated Temperatures on Bending Properties of Wood

  • Temperature has important effect on mechanical properties of wood. These effect needs to be understood and taken into account in the structural use of wood. Furthermore, the effect of cooling after exposing to high temperature must be explained. In this study, the effect of temperature, exposure time, specific gravity, and cooling on bending properties were investigated. The boundary temperatures at which bending MOE and MOR reduced rapidly were approximately $200^{\circ}C$ and $150^{\circ}C$, respectively. This boundary temperature was nearly constant with independence of species(specific gravity), exposure time, and cooling. Above the boundary temperature, the effect of exposure time was increased with temperature and the reduction of bending MOE and MOR for Japanese Larch with relatively higher specific gravity was smaller than that of Hem-fir. The recovery of bending MOE and MOR after cooling was also more significant above the boundary temperature than below. The degree of cooling effect was larger for MOR than MOE. Consequently, bending properties of wood in elevated temperatures should be considered in terms of the boundary temperature, $200^{\circ}C$ for bending MOE, $150^{\circ}C$ for MOR, and these boundary temperatures must be considered an important factor. Furthermore, to evaluate the safety of structure, the recovery after cooling should be considered.

패스트푸드점을 이용하는 광주 지역 중.고등학생의 의식에 관한 조사 (A Survey on Consciousness of Middle and High School Students Using Fast Food Restaurants in Kwangju)

  • A survey was conducted to investigate consciousness of middle and high school students unsing fast food restaurants in Kwang-ju, from July 20 to August 20 in 1993. The results are follows; 1. There are many motives which drive students into fast food restaurants. Among those are its convenience as a place of meeting friends, pleasant and clean environment for eating, no time limit of staying there, hygiene of dining equipment and table ware. 2.The majority of the students used the fast food restaurants between 12:00 and 14:00 pm. It shows that time does not influence much on using there, because they answered in high percent that they use at any time. 3. Student usually pay individually and in some cases their friends or parents pay the bill. 4. Major factor in fast food selection was their tastes, nexts, were proper price, nutrition, and so on, They prefer their home food to restaurants fast foods. 5. The most of students have positive response to make traditional Korean foods into fast foods. The students, in particular, emphasized for the development of traditional Korean foods ; Sikhae and Sujonggwa(beverage), Docbokki, Japchae, kinds of rice cake and Jun. 6. Students suggested to be better fast food service, such as lowering the price, increasing the portion size and developing fast foods from the traditional Korean foods.
