지속적 프로세스 개선을 위한 성과 중심의 생애 주기 기반 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 프레임워크 (A Life Cycle-Based Performance-Centric Business Process Management Framework For Continuous Process Improvement)

  • 최근에 많은 기업들이 기업 목표를 달성하기 위해 프로세스 혁신이나 개선을 지속적으로 꾀하고 있으며, 이를 지원하는 도구로 BPM (Business Process Management)이 많이 도입되고 있다. BPM의 생애 주기는 프로세스 진단, (재)설계 및 실행으로 이루어지는데, 모든 BPM 활동들은 성과 척도와 밀접한 관련을 갖고 운영되어야 한다. 본 논문의 목적은 프로세스 기반 성과 측정 모델과 통합된 생애 주기 기반 BPM 프레임워크를 제안하는 것이다. 제안 프레임워크에서는 BPM 전 생애 주기 동안 비즈니스 프로세스와 성과 척도가 체계적인 상관관계를 가지고 밀접하게 운영된다. 기업의 혁신이나 개선 담당자들은 제안 프레임워크를 사용하여 프로세스 진단 단계에서는 기업 성과에 가장 영향을 주는 프로세스를 용이하게 확인할 수 있고, 프로세스 (재)설계 단계에서는 새롭게 설계된 프로세스의 성과를 측정할 수 있으며, 프로세스 실행 단계에서는 성과 척도를 모니터하여 비즈니스 활동 들을 조정할 수 있게 된다.

Minimum life-cycle cost design of ice-resistant offshore platforms

  • In China, the oil and natural gas resources of Bohai Bay are mainly marginal oil fields. It is necessary to build both ice-resistant and economical offshore platforms. However, risk is involved in the design, construction, utilization, maintenance of offshore platforms as uncertain events may occur within the life-cycle of a platform under the extreme ice load. In this study, the optimum design model of the expected life-cycle cost for ice-resistant platforms based on cost-effectiveness criterion is proposed. Multiple performance demands of the structure, facilities and crew members, associated with the failure assessment criteria and evaluation functions of costs of construction, consequences of structural failure modes including damage, revenue loss, death and injury as well as discounting cost over time are considered. An efficient approximate method of the global reliability analysis for the offshore platforms is provided, which converts the implicit nonlinear performance function in the conventional reliability analysis to linear explicit one. The proposed life-cycle optimum design formula are applied to a typical ice-resistant platform in Bohai Bay, and the results demonstrate that the life-cycle cost-effective optimum design model is more rational compared to the conventional design.

기업수명주기와 경영자 보상 (The Corporate Life Cycle and Management Compensation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기업수명주기와 경영자 보상의 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 기업수명주기에 따른 경영자 보상 수준을 살펴보고, 수명주기별 경영자보상의 성과보상민감도를 살펴보고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 수행하기 위해, 2003년부터 2014년까지 유가증권시장 및 코스닥시장의 상장기업을 이용하여 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 경영자의 보상수준은 도입기에서 가장 낮으며, 성숙기까지 증가하여 성숙기에서 가장 높으며, 쇠퇴기에서 급격하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 성숙기를 제외한 도입기, 성장기, 쇠퇴기에서 성과보상민감도는 회계성과보다 주가성과에 더 연동되는 것으로 나타났으며, 성숙기에서는 회계성과에 강력하게 연동되는 것으로 나타났다. 추가분석을 통해 성장률이 높은 집단에서 회계성과와 주가성과에 연동되는 것으로 나타나 수명주기 결과가 성장률에 의해 나타난 결과가 아님을 확인하였다. 대규모기업집단을 별도로 분석하여 수명주기별 성과보상민감도가 일반적인 결과와 확연하게 다르게 나타남을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 기업의 수명주기에 따라 경영자 보상이 영향을 받는 다는 결과를 나타낸다는 점에서 기존연구와 차별성을 갖으며 관련 연구에 보탬이 된다.

벤처기업의 성장단계별 네트워크 성과요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Network Performance Factor of the Ventures by Growth Stages)

  • Ventures through technological innovation are increasingly suggested as one of the main engines for economic growth that can help control inflation and black trade balance. The Purpose of this study is to extract the network performance factors for ventures according to ventures life cycle. For the Purpose, the existing studies were examined into start-up company, entrepreneurial firm, smell firms with competitive advantage against large firms, and ventures network activity. And 63 samples from ventures in Korea were taken and analyzed empirically. The analyses and results are (1) the actual conditions of network activity on ventures; (2) the investigation of relationship between network activity and performance of ventures by venture's life cycle through the observations of Korean ventures. From the results, It Is also found that factors such as external environment and a ventures life cycle have been considered as the main influences on the performance of ventures. In addition, limitations and suggestions for further studies are noted.

Comparison and Analysis of P2P Botnet Detection Schemes

  • In this paper, we propose our four-phase life cycle of P2P botnet with corresponding detection methods and the future direction for more effective P2P botnet detection. Our proposals are based on the intensive analysis that compares existing P2P botnet detection schemes in different points of view such as life cycle of P2P botnet, machine learning methods for data mining based detection, composition of data sets, and performance matrix. Our proposed life cycle model composed of linear sequence stages suggests to utilize features in the vulnerable phase rather than the entire life cycle. In addition, we suggest the hybrid detection scheme with data mining based method and our proposed life cycle, and present the improved composition of experimental data sets through analysing the limitations of previous works.

  • The objective of this paper is to evaluate the economic performance of latent and sensible energy transportation systems. LCC (Life-Cycle Cost) analysis is a practical method and a guideline for evaluating the economic performance of considered systems during the Life-Cycle Period. By comparing the LCC of alternatives, The most ideal alternative is determined which has the lowest LCC. It is concluded that the cost of STA (Solution Transportation Absorption system) can be reduced by 67% to that of sensible energy transportation for study period with 10 km transportation distance.

  • This study is intended to propose a systematic and practical life cycle cost(LCC) model for the development of the reliability-based seismic safety and cost-effective performance criteria for design and upgrading of long-span PC bridges. The LCC models consist of five cost functions such as initial cost, repair/replacement cost, human losses, road user cost, and indirect losses of regional economy. The proposed model Is successfully expressed in temrs of Park-Ang damage indices and life cycle damage probability obtained from SMART-DRAIN-2DX which is an existing algorithm for nonlinear time history analysis. The proposed LCC model is successfully applied to a viaduct constructed by PSM, in Seoul. Based on the observations, the proposed systematic procedure for the formulation of LCC model may be useful for the development of the reliability-based seismic safety and cost-effective performance criteria for design and upgrading of long-span PC bridges.

A Study on the Estimation Method of the Environmental Load Intensity for Analyzing GHG Reduction Effect of Han-Ok

  • The Korean government recently has rediscovered the potential value of Han-Ok, the Korean traditional house, as an eco-friendly building. In order to objectively verify the environmental performance of Han-Ok as a low carbon green building, this paper suggests the analysis method of GHG emission load of Korean traditional house, based on Life Cycle Assessment, which is commonly abbreviated to "LCA". The environmental impacts caused by building construction and operation can be analyzed through the sum of input and output data from every phase. The study particularly describes the GHG reduction effect by using traditional building materials such as wood products, traditional clay roof tiles, and mud, which are mainly used to construct Han-Ok. Also the study proposes the method for comparative analysis of quantity of GHG emissions in building's entire life cycle so that the data can be used as a reliable basis to optimize the environmental performance of building.

주문형 전자신문 시스템에서 사용자 접근패턴을 이용한 기사 프리패칭 기법 (Article Data Prefetching Policy using User Access Patterns in News-On-demand System)

  • As compared with VOD data, NOD article data has the following characteristics: it is created at any time, has a short life cycle, is selected as not one article but several articles by a user, and has high access locality in time. Because of these intrinsic features, user access patterns of NOD article data are different from those of VOD. Thus, building NOD system using the existing techniques of VOD system leads to poor performance. In this paper, we analysis the log file of a currently running electronic newspaper, show that the popularity distribution of NOD articles is different from Zipf distribution of VOD data, and suggest a new popularity model of NOD article data MS-Zipf(Multi-Selection Zipf) distribution and its approximate solution. Also we present a life cycle model of NOD article data, which shows changes of popularity over time. Using this life cycle model, we develop LLBF (Largest Life-cycle Based Frequency) prefetching algorithm and analysis he performance by simulation. The developed LLBF algorithm supports the similar level in hit-ratio to the other prefetching algorithms such as LRU(Least Recently Used) etc, while decreasing the number of data replacement in article prefetching and reducing the overhead of the prefetching in system performance. Using the accurate user access patterns of NOD article data, we could analysis correctly the performance of NOD server system and develop the efficient policies in the implementation of NOD server system.

Application of High Performance Coatings for Service Life Extension of Steel Bridge Coatings

  • In this study, performance tests, a field evaluation, and a life cycle cost (LCC) analysis for high performance coating systems were conducted to prepare a plan to reduce the cost of maintenance coating and contribute to the service life extension of steel bridges by applying high performance coatings to steel bridges that will be constructed in the future. From the deterioration models based on the field evaluation for chlorinated rubber and urethane topcoat systems, which have been applied often, the mean service lives were derived as 20.8 and 26.6 years, respectively. For the other coating systems that have not been applied in practice, the coordination factors were differentially applied with evaluation items. The most durable coating system was predicted to be thermal spray coating (TSC) primer/epoxy intermediate coat/fluoride resin topcoat, with a predicted value as long as 42.2 years. The LCC analysis indicates that partial application of high performance coating, such as TSC and fluoride resin, to specific parts vulnerable to corrosion and ultraviolet ray (UV) is more advantageous than the use of general coating systems.
