Successful implementation of infrastructure asset management system can be started with rich and reliable data. However, measurement errors in the data have always existed in the real world caused for many unknown reasons. It disturbs maintenance activities of agencies, and makes negative effects to reliability of research results on forecasting deterioration process and life cycle cost. Above all, it makes a contradiction that road agencies cannot believe their inspection data surveyed by their hands. It is particularly serious in the road pavement management field. Although road agencies are well recognized the fact, inspecting without measurement error would be a great challenge. Considering the facts, this paper aimed to suggest statistical error processing methods to correct latent error included in pavement surface inspection data. As alternatives, this paper suggested two methods based on probability distribution to consider structure of error and reliability of the data. The suggested methods were empirically tested by using pavement inspection data from Korean National Highway. As the result, this paper confirmed that conventional error processing that just removes only visible errors is not enough to cover uncertainty in pavement deterioration process. The suggested methods would be useful for improving reliability of analysis results required for road infrastructure asset management.

Traffic demand forecasting for pavement management in the present can be estimated using the past trends or subjective judgement of experts instead of objective methods. Also future road plans and local development plans of a target region, for example new road constructions and detour plans cannot be considered for the estimate of future traffic demands. This study, which is the fundamental research for developing objective and accurate decision-making support system of maintenance management for the national highway, proposed the methodology to predict future traffic demands according to 4-step traffic forecasting method using EMME in order to examine significance of future traffic demands affecting pavement deterioration trends and compare existing traffic demand forecasting methods. For the case study, this study conducted the comparison of traffic demand forecasting methods targeting Daejeon Regional Construction and Management Administration. Therefore, this study figured out that the differences of traffic demands and the level of agent costs as well as user costs between existing traffic demand forecasting methods and proposed traffic demand forecasting method with considering future road plans and local development plan.

Construction industry throughout the construction projects life cycle using BIM is able to manage information. Among them, BIM-based quantity take-off is directly connected to the data of the construction business as an important management element that is essential for one of the management factors of feasibility study and economic analysis. In addition, the result of BIM-based quantity take-off can be varied depending on modeler, so the exact guideline for BIM modeling is necessary. The BIM-based quantity take-off in terms of reliability and accuracy of the information is very important. Therefore, this study verified the BIM modeling of the apartment interior materials using both separate object and composite object was validated the quantitative comparison of the difference in BIM-based quantity take-off for accuracy & reliability judgment of BIM-based quantity take-off and realistic & desirable suggestion of BIM modeling way. As the result of this study, it is preferable to model various interior materials to use separate object for the purpose of correct BIM-based quantity take-off, but the realistic way of the BIM modeling using both separate object and composite object jointly was verified in order to judge BIM-based quantity take-off in terms of work productivity.
Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the preferences and needs of typical Korean females adults for food and nutrition information provided by the mass media. Methods: A total of 343 females (77 in their 20s, 85 in their 30s, 88 in their 40s and 93 in their 50s) residing in the Seoul/Gyeonggido area was surveyed on general characteristics, main sources of food and nutrition information and needs for sources and contents of nutrition information. Results: The survey showed that typical Korean females obtained knowledge of food and nutrition mainly through the Internet (30.4%) and broadcasting (29.0%). Typical Korean females were interested in 'dietary management for weight control' (21.9%), 'the prevention and treatment of disease' (20.0%), 'food safety' (16.8%), 'proper dietary habits' (14.6%), 'cookery' (11.8%), 'functional foods' (9.6%), 'restaurant details' (3.5%) and 'life-cycle-specific dietary guideline' (1.6%). Needs for food and nutrition program forms on TV were 'educational programs' (34.3%), 'documentaries' (20.8), 'expert lecture-style' (13.0%), 'entertainment programs' (11.9%), 'expert conversation' (11.4%), 'news-style' (4.6%) and 'public campaign advertisements' (4.0%). On the Internet, 38.6% of the respondents preferred to get information provided by food and nutrition-related institutions (38.6%) while 26.1% preferred webtoons for nutritional information. The favored forms in mobile applications were 'monitoring their diets' (29.5%), 'data-based texts information' (21.4%), 'experts feedback' (20.6%), 'communities' (15.1%) and 'games' (13.1%). The rates of the preference to obtain information from experts such as nutritionists and dietitians and doctorsor dietitian turned reporters increased markedly with older ages. Conclusions: Since the mass media is a main source of food and nutrition information for the general public, the effectiveness and accuracy of the information provided should be enhanced by taking the needs of the public into account. The quality of information should be improved by involving more nutrition experts.
This paper presented a method to build a predictable smart ammunition logistics system using the 4th industrial technology for ammunition logistics, which is the core functions in the field of defense and logistics. We have analyzed the current level of ammunition logistics with various perspectives such as domestic and overseas logistics policies, technology trends, ammunition logistics characteristics, the smart logistics certification measures by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. As a result it is considered that the current ammunition logistics needs needs improvement. To improve this, we presented a direction based on the implications derived after analyzing various ongoing programs such as wired/wireless-based automation, smart ammunition depots, and logistics innovation of the army, navy, and air force that can be applied to the ammunition logistics. In order to implement a data-based smart ammunition logistics management system that can achieve innovation and efficiency of total life cycle while meeting changes in the battlefield environment, we presented 4 objectives such as "automation and modernization of field work", "3D-based storage management & improvement of issuing at war," and "data management for prediction-oriented ammunition management". it is expected that there will be benefits such as improvement of operational continuity, guarantee of ammunition reliability, budget reduction, improvement of inefficiencies such as delay, waiting, and double work, and reduction of accidents.
This study explores ways in which Korean companies manage a brand to become a long-run success. In particular, this study focuses on Chamisul, analyzing its marketing strategy, examining its brand life-cycle in terms of introduction, growth, and renewal. Chamisul, first introduced in 1998, has occupied the Korean liquor market as a leading brand for almost a decade. Chamisul's long-run success, in fact, depends upon a number of reasons; first, it has consistently and continuously keeps its own core brand concept and identity. Second, it has built its brand asset by strengthening its emotional ties with customers. The emotional connection that Chamisul has built is based upon the trust between the company who produces the product and the customers who recognize the benefit of drinking Chamisul. Third, the company creates various brand differentiation programs, thereby allowing its customer to get familier with the brand. Finally, the company sets up a clear management standard in Korean liquar market in order to maintain the vitality of the brand, managing Chamisul in accordance with the standard. Seen in this light, Chamisul's success reflects the marketing activities and strategies that play a fundamental role in creating and maintaining a long-run brand. Similarly, its success can be seen to be a model for brand management, telling us how to become a market leader through an effective brand management.
The purpose of this study was to analyze womens' health problems using Green & Kreuter's 1991 PRECEDE model and to develop a model for a womens' health care center located in the community. The subjects were recruited from Wonju City. 1. The results showed that 23% of the sample population felt there was a need for a womens' health care center. The mean number of health problems was 3.1. The prevalence rate, was 44.4%, and the rate for an artificial abortion, was 36.4%. Also 30.5% did not have a health examination in the past year. Women using the hospital for medical care accounted for 45% of the sample, while 40% used the drugstore. The average score on the HPLP was 2.41, and this was influenced by self-efficacy, family support, sexual role, and health locus of control. There are a few educational programs in the city provided by the Wonju Health Center and by community health nurse practitioners. 2. The nursing center, as defined in North America, is a nurse-anchored system of primary health care delivery or neighborhood health center. Centers offer various services ranging from primary care to the more traditional such as education, health promotion, wellness screening, and coordination of services by advanced practice nurses. For examples in Sweden MCH centers provide total services for childbearing women and their families, sexual counseling and education for adolescents, and screening by midwives for cervical cancer. 3. The developed model combines purpose, target population, organization, and services, and is related to health resources. The purpose is primary health care and promotion of the quality of life. The target population can be grouped according to the life cycle, (premarriaged age group, the childbearing/child rearing age group, and middle aged and elderly women) and focuses on self-help. The organization of the center includes an advisory committee to plan and evaluate, and a health services team that will be multidisciplinary to provide health care, counseling education, and research. The model development suggested that a variety of women's health care centers are needed to insure adequate management of women's health. Follow-up research using PROCEED is needed to analyze health outcomes. Also a health nursing specialist system is required to develop health promotion, and improve the quality of life of women.

An expected-discounted cost model based on RRP(Renewal Reward Process), referred to as a stochastic decision model, has been developed to estimate the optimal period of in-depth inspection which is one of critical issues in the life-cycle maintenance management of harbor structures such as rubble-mound breakwaters. A mathematical model, which is a function of the probability distribution of the service-life, has been formulated by simultaneously adopting PIM(Periodic Inspection and Maintenance) and CBIM(Condition-Based Inspection and Maintenance) policies so as to resolve limitations of other models, also all the costs in the model associated with monitoring and repair have been discounted with time. From both an analytical solution derived in this paper under the condition in which a failure rate function is a constant and the sensitivity analyses for the variety of different distribution functions and conditions, it has been confirmed that the present solution is more versatile than the existing solution suggested in a very simplified setting. Additionally, even in that case which the probability distribution of the service-life is estimated through the stochastic process, the present model is of course also well suited to interpret the nonlinearity of deterioration process. In particular, a MCS(Monte-Carlo Simulation)-based sample path method has been used to evaluate the parameters of a damage intensity function in stochastic process. Finally, the present stochastic decision model can satisfactorily be applied to armor units of rubble mound breakwaters. The optimal periods of in-depth inspection of rubble-mound breakwaters can be determined by minimizing the expected total cost rate with respect to the behavioral feature of damage process, the level of serviceability limit, and the consequence of that structure.
This study investigated intake patterns of health functional foods(HFF) in elementary school children and requirements of their parents in the Daejeon area using a questionnaire by 432 parents. Participating parents were composed of female, 83.6% and male, 16.4%. Most of the parents were in their 40's(53.0%) and 30's(45.8%). 47.9% of the children were male and 52.1% were female. The school year of the children was distributed evenly, ranging from the first year to the sixth year. The intake rate of HFF for parents appeared to be 65.3% and for children it appeared to be 63.2%. The primary reason of using HFF to their child was 'For health promotion'(54.4%); the largest reason of non-using HFF was 'Do not feel necessity because is healthy'(48.8%). In regards to purchase place, 'Drugstore' was most selected by 26.1%, while the largest amount of purchase motive was 'Decided by oneself for children's health'(37.7%). The average expense per month was, 'Less than 50 thousand portion'(20.3%). The intake period, 'less than 6 months' was won' for 54.9%. For intake items, 'Vitamin supplementation products' was the largest portion'(20.3%) was indicated. The intake period, less than 6 months' was the most selected by 51.3%. Most people(66.7%) selected '1 kind' of intake item. As for intake effect, 45.4% claimed 'A little help'. In regard to experiencing side effects, 'Is not' was 92.7%, however, diarrhea, nettle rash, nausea etc. were a little. The biggest problem of HFF was 'Falsehood/exaggerative advertisement' as identified by 53.1%. For improvement of the HFF system was, 'Verify by more strict formality' as selected by 55.8%. In regards to experience of nutrition education on HFF, 'Is not' was most selected by 51.0%. The most desirous form of nutrition education was, 'Simple paper material'(31.3%). The most desirous content of nutrition education was, 'nutritional management of classified by life cycle'(37.2%). Therefore, HFF must be used properly to promote the health and growth development of children by acquiring scientific and reasonable information about the ability and usage of the food.
