A Study on the Integrated Library System Based on Open Source Software (오픈소스 ILS 실현에 관한 연구)

  • The idea behind Open Source Software(OSS) that permits users to study, change, and improve, is similar to the spirit of the library that has been developed through cooperations and resource sharing rather than competition. OSS is regarded as an alternative, low-cost technical innovation based on librarian's creative idea and standardized business process. Enthusiasm of the community is fundamental to successful installations and sustainable development. This study analyzed two community-based OSS ILS, namely KOHA and Next_L and suggested a future direction for domestic libraries. In the case of Korea, it is desirable for a library consortium to develop an OSS ILS for small- and medium-sized libraries. Most importantly, strong consensus about OSS ILS among the practiting librarians should be developed first.

  • It is general for industrial body to adopt information system using ASP(application service provider) model according to the increase of management expense. the change of information system circumstance and the trend of application development cycle. ASP model is a variation on outsourcing system support and services. ASP maintains servers and software for different customers at a centralized location. The purpose of this study examined the feasibility to implement school digital library and information system using ASP model. Based upon the examination, this study is suggested information system of school digital library to aspects of H/W, S/W, components. functions.

Software Component Retrieval System for Version Control (버전제어를 위한 소프트웨어 구성요소의 검색 시스템)

  • For the reuse, configuration management, and version control of softwares, the composition of retrieval systems and library are most important matters, which makes it possible to retrieve the concerned software components. Retrieval systems, which is able to store many components, must make it possible to retrieve the concerned components with deadwoods in the fastest way. Based either on keyboards or the concept of inverted file on the part of content is usually used in the current retrieval systems. However, in this paper, new retrieval systems are suggested with using set and bag class with Smalltalk language, one of object- oriented programming language, based either on the keywords or on the part of content to find out the concerned components. This method is improved the function of user interface and its management, In this paper, library is also suggested along with the new retrieval systems, and user interface is designed and implemented for its management and control. The new retrial systems of this paper can be employed by interface in another language, and this system is to provide the concerned user with the appropriate retrieval systems and library for the version control.

A Study on a Secure Coding Library for the Battlefield Management System Software Development (전장정보체계 SW 개발을 위한 시큐어 코딩 라이브러리에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we identify the code vulnerabilities that can be automatically detected through Visual Studio (VS) compiler and code analyzer based on a secure coding rule set which is optimized for development of battlefield information system. Then we describe a weak point item that can be dealt with at the implementation stage without depending on the understanding or ability of the individual programmer's secure coding through the implementation of the secure coding library. Using VS compiler and the code analyzer, the developers can detect only about 38% of security weaknesses. But with the help of the proposed secure coding library, about 48% of security weaknesses can be detected and prevented in the proactive diagnosis in the development stage.

  • SNMP is a standard protocol for management of networking devices. Nowadays, most computer systems have capability to act as SNMP agents. In this paper, we developed a low overhead version of SNMP library for embedded systems, and implemented a monitoring software based on the library for a large number of target systems. The monitoring system consists of a monitoring server, SNMP agents, and client programs. The monitoring server collects status information from SNMP agents running on the monitoring targets, and sends summary information to client programs. We implemented two versions of clients, Java based standalone program and Web based program.

  • Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) is a new design approach, which aims to reduce the design cycle and the development cost, while improving the performance of the product. In order to develop a framework software where the multidisciplinary design is possible, several methods about the analysis codes integration, the analysis and optimization process management, and the software architecture, are proposed in this study. Centralized DataBase Management System (DBMS) is adopted. Both the Dynamic Link Library(DLL) and the File Interface are suggested and implemented as analysis codes integration methods. To efficiently manage the optimization process and the data flow, the Graphic Programming approach is introduced. The proposed integration methods are verified by two test case examples: Simple house design example and the aircraft wing design problem using three dimensional Panel Code.

A Study on Evaluating Digital Illusion Level of Public Library (공공도서관의 디지털 통합 수준 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study tends to apprehend how much public library contributes to a role of upbuilder of digital integrated local society through a survey. For this, I performed the survey on 935 organization of public library in the whole country registered in national library statistical system. As a result, firstly, it's apprehended that equipment infra, Internet infra, etc like computer, laptop, scanner, tablet PC, etc are in relatively high level. Secondly, service or resource like electronic book, digital and virtual reference service, library service mobile App, etc that users can use are in relatively high level but software supporting cooperation and group task, fusibility of participating space, etc are shown very low level. Thirdly, the rate of literacy training relating to technology were only 22.4%, education subject focused on resource searching subject and somewhat future-oriented technical education like directions of video conference technique, cloud computing application education, etc wasn't conducted. Finally, we should consider expansion of providing technology and equipment and provision of future-oriented service and education according to a flow of the time that needs to seek change in various roles of library as enjoying culture space or creative space.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 전자 출결을 위한 시스템들이 학생들의 스마트폰 사용을 기반으로 하고 있다는 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 사전등록을 통한 얼굴인식 인공지능을 활용한 전자 출결 관리 시스템인 <반달>을 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 얼굴인식 인공지능을 통한 식별 및 애플리케이션을 통한 출결 사항 확인과 수정기능을 포함하여 통합적인 출결 관리를 가능하게 하였다. 학생들 개개인 스마트폰의 소지를 필수로 요구하지 않아 제약이 적은 라즈베리파이와 데이터베이스를 사용한 설치형 출결 관리 시스템을 제안한다.

  • In this study, co-word occurrence analysis was performed on 288 articles rerieved from the Web of Science DB with the topic of web archiving. Results showed that research on image archiving information technology and system were most frequently carried out especially in medical area. Within library and information science and records management & archives areas, web archiving/digital preservation project subject and web archiving tools and methodology subject were studied mostly. It is expected that research related to web archiving software and tools will be increased in near future.

  • The purpose of this paper is the development of Integrated Bio-signal Management System. (IBMS) using the network. IBMS is the system to manage the medical signals that measured from the each independent medical measurement system module. Each has a LAN Card. We developed the Network Application using Socket Library. Also, we developed the Graphic User Interface software for IBMS using Visual C++ on Windows 95.
