본 연구의 목적은 사서인턴십의 문제점을 발견하고 이를 개선하기 위한 방안을 제안하는데 있다. 사례연구로 서울의 한 대학의 2016년 2학기 인턴십 강좌를 수강한 학생을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 활동이론을 적용하여 사서인턴십 진행과정을 구조화하고 구조 안에서 발생하는 모순이나 갈등요인을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 학생들은 인턴십에 대해서 대체로 만족을 하고 있었다. 또한 전공에 대한 이해나 사서를 직업으로 선택할 것인지에 대한 의사결정에 많은 도움을 주었다고 인턴십 경험을 긍정적으로 평가했다. 그러나 인턴십 과정에서 기간, 관리문제, 실습수준, 아르바이트와의 업무내용 중복 등의 갈등요인이 발견되었다. 이러한 갈등요인을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 본 연구는 인턴십 과정에 참여하는 모든 집단이 적극적으로 참여하고 관련 정보를 공유하는 체계화된 인턴십 프로그램을 제안하였다.

This study aimed to discover the notable experiences of Library and Information Science students in a virtual internship program. It employed qualitative descriptive research design by thematically analyzing the monthly internship journal of the interns. Using Colaizzi's method to identify themes from their experiences, the study revealed that interns expected to gain knowledge and skills on operations, services, and new information communication technologies in libraries. Orientation was found helpful in identifying the things interns needed to prepare. The interns faced issues from procrastination and technical difficulties, which they coped with employing avoidance strategies. Overall, the internship was viewed as an opportunity to learn and navigate the online digital system of the library despite the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. They realized their capacity and reflected on which competencies need improvement. In conclusion, students still learned the necessary knowledge and skills of a librarian; experienced the challenges faced in an actual library and were provided with various opportunities and realizations regarding the practice of librarianship. This study proposed a three-stage framework that outlines the involvement of the supervising instructors, librarians, and interns in the internship program from the preparation to the process and post-assessment.

인턴기관의 실행공동체 업무에 인턴 실습생은 부분적 참여나 비참여 형태로만 활동한다. 따라서 제한된 참여와 활동 수준으로 인해 인턴 실습생의 현장 학습에 상대적으로 큰 영향을 줄 여러 요인들이 있을 수 있다. 본 연구는 주요한 영향요인의 하나인 인턴기관의 실무진을 대상으로 프로그램 시행경험에서 인지하고 있는 문제점과 난점 등을 진단하고 결과를 바탕으로 인턴쉽 프로그램의 현장 교육을 재평가하고 고찰하고자 한다. 연구범위의 실증적 조사를 위해 인턴쉽 현황과 문제점, 그리고 개선점 등의 세 가지 연구문제를 설정하고 사례 인턴기관의 담당실무자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시했다. 분석결과의 주요내용은 실무자들이 갖는 인턴쉽 프로그램에는 전반적으로 긍정적인 의견을 갖고 있으나 예상외로 인턴 담당실무자 입장에서 여러 어려움이 진단되었다. 인턴 실습생들은 기관 인턴 담당자를 전공분야의 실무자 역할모델로 학습하는 대상으로 기대하는 반면, 담당 실무자들은 자신이 주는 영향이 실습생의 현장학습에 중요하게 작용할 수 있다는 점을 인식하지 못하거나 심각하게 보지 않는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 학부생의 현장실습의 어려움과 실습기관 실무자들의 인턴생 교육의 부담 등의 문제를 최대한 줄일 수 있는 직무관찰식 인턴쉽을 시행하고 인턴생들이 인식하는 효과성과 문제점을 진단하는 실험 사례연구이다. 제안된 두 가지 연구문제에 따라 인턴쉽의 효과와 진로성숙도의 변화를 분석한 결과, 직무관찰식 인턴쉽의 효과에 대한 학생인식(수강자의 71%)은 긍정적으로 확인되었고 반면, 인턴쉽 경험이 진로성숙도에 주는 영향은 시행 전후 차이로 분석되었으나 통계적 유의성은 미비한 것으로 진단되었다. 사례연구를 통해 알 수 있는 주요 내용은 첫째, 직무관찰 인턴쉽 실습은 담당교수로부터 사전에 체계적인 인턴쉽 교육과 철저한 오리엔테이션이 우선되어야 하며, 둘째, 실습기관 실무자의 현장수요가 반영된 인턴 실습 지침이 마련되어야 PEP의 효과를 기대할 수 있으며, 마지막으로 전문가 양성을 위한 전공교육으로서의 인턴쉽 실습의 효과성을 지속적으로 개선할 수 있는 측정도구 개발이 필요하다는 것이다.

New curriculum for information and library science is proposed on the notion of the internship and scholarly characteristics. The future of the information and library science is expected as the discipline to synthesize the natural science and the social science. Especially the internship is strongly suggested as the post graduate program. To draw the conclusion. the history of the information and library science and its educational background are analyzed. The states of the historical developments of the information and library science are explained in terms of philosophy. The functional and scholarly environments of the information and library science are also investigated. Secondarily it concludes that the curriculum development for information and library science is not aimed on the skills but on the phenomena.

This study attempts to draw the implications of student satisfaction with fieldwork courses in the library and information science (LIS) program in South Korea by determining the level of satisfaction experienced by students with practicums at a library and information service agency. LIS students with fieldwork experience were surveyed to assess their satisfaction and the factors affecting their satisfaction. Results from a multiple regression analysis revealed that from among factors of practicum settings, major-related attributes, and general attributes of respondents, "satisfaction with majors" and "interpersonal relationships" had a significant effect on satisfaction with practicums. Examining the six components of satisfaction with the course revealed that "practicum program" and "practicum setting" had a significant relationship with overall satisfaction. A selective intervention program to improve satisfaction with the course needs to be developed based on factors influencing overall satisfaction, focusing on "interpersonal relationship" and "satisfaction with majors.

The overall goal of this study is to identify what I'||'&'||'R is, and what services should be offered as legitimate I'||'&'||'R actives. The gist of the study is as follows: 1. The shift of the clients targeted to receive the services from disadvantageous to every person. 2. Ambiguity in I'||'&'||'R definition. Because it is hard to distinguish I'||'&'||'R service from the traditional reference service, and shifting of clients, the establishment of the definition was very difficult. Instead of a definite answer, the criteria for "I'||'&'||'R Providers" was drawn. 3. Most provided services were simple and complex information giving based on resource file. Constructing resource file is a major component of I'||'&'||'R service. 4. From 1980s, many I'||'&'||'R providing libraries adapted computer a n.0, pplications. 5. Social work and library-internship was advised to conduct a cooperative project by NCLIS, I'||'&'||'R Task Force. 6. In the high technological era, there continue to be many people who need the su n.0, pportive relationship. I'||'&'||'R is to optimize both the service and clients. Librarian must learn from the principle of high tech/high touch.

본 연구에서는 최근 2년간 국내에서 실시된 40개 도서관, 138개 다문화프로그램 분석을 통하여 특성을 밝혀내고, 다문화 사회 진입이 오래된 미국과 캐나다도서관의 국가프로젝트 다문화프로그램, 주립도서관프로그램과의 비교분석을 통하여 개선방안을 도출하였다. 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 프로그램 개발방법은 기획단계에서부터 다문화 이주민의 요구사항을 분석하여 함께 기획되어야 하고, 장기적으로 수정, 보완되어 지속되는 프로그램이 만들어져야 한다. 프로그램 운영형태는 아웃리치프로그램으로 개발되는 것이 바람직하며, 콘텐츠내용은 실생활에 필요한 주제와 내용으로 개발되어야 하고, 이용자 유형별, 수준별로 개별화되어야 한다.

본 연구의 목적은 한국과 미국의 기록관리학 교과과정을 비교하여 봄으로써 교과과정의 특성과 변화, 기록관리학과 문헌정보학의 관련성, 기록관리학의 각 지식범주별 교과목의 수와 분포를 분석하고 앞으로 기록관리 교과과정의 개편 방향을 설정하고자 하였다. 미국의 기록관리학과 비교하여 한국의 기록관리학은 지식범주별 공통필수 교과목이나 선수 과목 설정을 통해 보다 체계적이고 기록관리의 탄탄한 토대를 만들어줄 필요가 있다. 그리고 디지털 기술의 발전과 함께 통합된 환경 안에서 정보 기술을 활용하는 방법과 비판적 사고 능력 개발에 중점을 둔 교과과정의 강화로 기록관리의 효율성을 높여야한다. 또한 체계적인 실습과 인턴쉽의 제공, 세미나와 특강, 논문 작성을 통한 연구 능력의 강화가 복잡해지는 기록관리 업무에서의 문제해결능력을 키우게 할 것이다.

본 연구에서는 현재 한국 문헌정보학과에 개설된 교과목들의 현장필요성을 평가하고 교과과정의 개선방향을 모색하고자 하였으며, 현장사서들을 대상으로 현재의 교과목운영에 대한 만족도 조사를 기반으로 구체적으로 필수 또는 핵심과목, 그리고 선택과목으로 나누어 제안하였다. 필수과목으로 사서실습, 문헌정보학개론, 정보조직학(분류목록), 정보조사 제공론, 도서관경영론, 정보검색론 등 6개 과목, 핵심과목으로 정보자료분류목록실습, 주제별정보원(참고정보원), 장서개발론, 디지털도서관론, 서지학개론, 기록관리학개론 등 6개 과목, 나머지 과목은 학교의 상황 및 교수진의 구성에 따라 선택과목으로 개설할 것을 제안한다. 또한 교육방법으로 사서실습 및 현장답사를 통한 교육, 발표 및 토론위주 교육을 제안하며, 문헌정보학 교육과정의 내실화를 위해 중요한 것은 교육주제의 최신성, 교육내용의 전문성, 교육자의 전문성 및 자질, 교육교재의 전문성, 담당과목과 담당교수의 전공상관도 제고 등이다.
