The library circulation service, which refers to the lending of library material outside of the library, is a basic and essential service provided by the library. However, changes in the library circulation service are being made according to a more management-oriented operation and the development of information technology. Consequently, the library faces a paradigm shift 'from library-centered service' to 'user-oriented service' and experiences changes in library circulation service due to the growth of library networks. Also, each library, in order to respond to the changes, tries to specialize the library circulation service by utilizing available library resources. In that context, this study, through the case study of the "Chack DanBi" library circulation service of Eunpyeong Public Library, investigates and analyzes the changing library circulation service according to the above perspectives; seeks the meaning of the service; and aims at enhancing our understanding of the library circulation service.

Public library user studies are required for better services and circulation records can be used as specific library data to identify common user patterns of the libraries. This study examined 754,198 of circulation data set - number of users, frequencies of circulation, volume of time of circulation and etc. The results of this study indicate the possibility of using circulation data to analyze the usage patterns in public libraries and to provide major types of users, collections, time of circulation, and common library user behaviors for better public library services.

The purpose of this study is to analyze variables affecting the number of circulated books which is one of the indicators representing the library use behavior. For the analysis, 2015-2019 data for public libraries was acquired from the National Library Statistics System. The Latent Growth Model estimating a latent intercept and a latent slop based on the individual library trajectories was applied. The results are as followed; first, the circulation rate tends to be decreased. Second, the most affecting factor on the library circulation decrease was the collection budget. This study suggests increasing a collection budget in order to prevent the library circulation decrease while the library is operating in a daily routine.

This study examines circulation status and trends of a public library during three year periods from January 2019 to December 2021. There was a statistically significant difference in the mean number of circulation between the pre-Covid-19 period and the Covid-19 period, and the Covid-19 period and the Covid-19 recovery period. However, no significant difference was found between the pre-Covid-19 period and the Covid-19 recovery period. Across three years, there was a significant difference in the distribution of circulation per month. Circulation distribution was also significantly different among different days of the week and different hours of the day. Monthly circulation distribution and hourly circulation distribution during the pre-Covid-19 period was similar to those of the Covid-19 recovery period, whereas those of the Covid-19 period differed from the pre-Covid-19 period and the Covid-19 recovery period. It is expected that the results of this study could contribute to the collection development, and the management and improvement of services of public libraries. It is also expected that the results of this study could contribute to the prediction of circulation patterns and information needs of public library users.

The goal of this study is to analyze use patterns of library collections using circulation statistics of academic library user's. For this purpose, the 264,804 circulation-related data of A-academic library which were occurred between March 2012 and February 2013 were collected and used. Five patterns of common user group (undergraduate, graduate students, professors, staffs, the others users) are identified for this study. Gross circulation statistics was analyzed and compared for different users groups and for different subjects. And based on these analysis results, author understood degree of collection use by subject, degree of collection use by user groups, latest materials preference in collection use by subject, latest materials preference in collection use by user groups.

The U-library service is a user-oriented library service through which users, after browsing and making reservations using the Internet and smartphones, can borrow and return library materials at an unmanned circulation system located in places, such as subway stations, without visiting the library. However, the U-library service is still in the early stages both quantitatively and qualitatively. In that, this study, in order to enhance our understanding of the U-library service, conceptualizes the unmanned circulation system, investigates current situation by examining and analyzing some U-library service cases, and pinpoints some problems while making some suggestions for improvement.

This study aims to quantitatively assess collection and circulation data of one small library in an area where multicultural users are concentrated and draw policy implications on improving multicultural services for public libraries. The Ansan Multicultural Small Library was selected for examining the library's collection and circulation usages from 2016 to 2022. The numbers of collection and circulation, collection turnover rates and use factors were calculated by year, language, and KDC subject. The result of this study presents the empirical evidence drawn from users' circulation usage, which can be a basis for leading to valid collection development and multicultural service policies.

The aim of this study is supporting efficient development of library collection and improvement of library service for users by analyzing utilization patterns of library collection using circulation statistics of medical library users. With this purpose, circulation statistics were extracted from 90,420 cases of circulation records in A library for recent 3 years (from 2012 to 2014). Specifically, circulation data categorized according to status and subject, loan data of most popular books and use data of inter-library loan service were collected and analyzed. Subject groups of this study are undergraduate students, graduate students and incumbent hospital employees including faculty members, training members and nondoctor members. For the result, medical library users intensively lent materials of Technology (Applied Sciences), Literature and Social science areas. Especially, the demand of the materials of literature was higher than the demand of the other subject areas compared in the base of collection development.

The books and circulation-related data in the Library Automation System(LAS) of C-academic library were collected and analyzed, and also the method which may be applied to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) based on the results was suggested in this paper. Collected data were 269,387 bibliographic data of books, 12,281 patron data, and 39,269 circulation records. User identity, circulation frequencies, total number of circulated books, and publication year as relation factor from the analyzed data of circulation records were extracted. They were also analyzed, and verified by correlation coefficient.

The books and circulation-related data in the Online Public Access Catalog System of the H-Public library were collected and analyzed in this paper. The methods which may be applied to the Customer Relationship Management in a public library based on the results were also suggested here. Collected data were 57,927 bibliographic data of books, 11,871 patron data and 27,145 circulation records. The type of collections. circulation frequencies, total number of circulated books, publication year, and use factor as relation factor from the analyzed data of circulation records were extracted. They were also analyzed, and verified by various statistical methods such as correlation coefficient, non-parametric method, etc.
