This study attempts to draw the implications of student satisfaction with fieldwork courses in the library and information science (LIS) program in South Korea by determining the level of satisfaction experienced by students with practicums at a library and information service agency. LIS students with fieldwork experience were surveyed to assess their satisfaction and the factors affecting their satisfaction. Results from a multiple regression analysis revealed that from among factors of practicum settings, major-related attributes, and general attributes of respondents, "satisfaction with majors" and "interpersonal relationships" had a significant effect on satisfaction with practicums. Examining the six components of satisfaction with the course revealed that "practicum program" and "practicum setting" had a significant relationship with overall satisfaction. A selective intervention program to improve satisfaction with the course needs to be developed based on factors influencing overall satisfaction, focusing on "interpersonal relationship" and "satisfaction with majors.

The utmost intention of this work is to identify various field areas which are most prevalent in library and information science education. The study also denotes the rate of tendency on the rapid growth and development of research production among information specialists in Bangladesh. In order to carry out the study, an extensive literature review was carefully done to collect the basic elements of research patterns. It is noted that in the period of 1980-2016, 200 articles were published in library and information science by Bangladeshi researchers in 62 journals. In this article a total of 200 articles were reviewed. The result of the present study shows that the ratio of female authors had fewer contributions than male authors did. The majority of articles were published from the United Kingdom. The study also shows that the largest numbers of articles (19 papers, 9.50%) were published in the Social Science Journal of the University of Rajshahi from Bangladesh. The paper also shows that about 71.50% of papers have been cited while 28.50% of papers did not receive any citation. The present research might be helpful for revealing the country's research trends in library and information science. However, this study may also inspire development of a subject-based indigenous database and can act as an important device for research scholars.

본 연구의 목적은 사서인턴십의 문제점을 발견하고 이를 개선하기 위한 방안을 제안하는데 있다. 사례연구로 서울의 한 대학의 2016년 2학기 인턴십 강좌를 수강한 학생을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 활동이론을 적용하여 사서인턴십 진행과정을 구조화하고 구조 안에서 발생하는 모순이나 갈등요인을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 학생들은 인턴십에 대해서 대체로 만족을 하고 있었다. 또한 전공에 대한 이해나 사서를 직업으로 선택할 것인지에 대한 의사결정에 많은 도움을 주었다고 인턴십 경험을 긍정적으로 평가했다. 그러나 인턴십 과정에서 기간, 관리문제, 실습수준, 아르바이트와의 업무내용 중복 등의 갈등요인이 발견되었다. 이러한 갈등요인을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 본 연구는 인턴십 과정에 참여하는 모든 집단이 적극적으로 참여하고 관련 정보를 공유하는 체계화된 인턴십 프로그램을 제안하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 Ajzen의 확장된 계획행동이론(ETPB)을 바탕으로 시민들의 공공도서관 이용 의도에 영향을 주는 요인을 검토하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 ETPB의 요인인 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제에 추가하여 도서관 지식, 그리고 개인적 특성과 같은 요인들을 기반으로 설문지를 개발, 설문조사를 실시한 후, 공공도서관 이용 의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 공공도서관 이용 의도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 도서관 지식인 것으로 나타났고 태도도 높은 영향력을 보여주었다. 주관적 규범과 지각된 행동통제 역시 공공도서관 이용 의도에 정의 영향을 주며, 개인적 특성 중 연령대, 최종학력, 가계소득, 공공도서관 이용 경험이 공공도서관 이용 의도에 유의한 차이를 가져오는 변수임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 공공도서관 이용자의 범위 확대를 위한 고려사항을 검토하였다.

21세기에 들어서 인문학계와 과학계가 서로 융합되며 새로운 이론과 모델들이 창출되고 있다. 그 중에서도 여러 제반분야에서 관심을 받는 이론이 체화된(embodied) 인지이론이다. 본 연구는 이때까지의 정보학 이용자 행태에 대한 메타이론을 간략하게 살피고, 그 한계를 짚어 본다. 다음으로 이러한 체화된 인지이론과 더불어 정보행위의 주체인 인간이 속하는 생명체에 관한 엔트로피 개념을 도입해 새로운 시대의 흐름에 맞는 생명 패러다임 정보행태모델을 제시하고자 한다. 검색이라는 개념과 이용자의 행위에 대한 개별적인 접근의 한계를 극복하고 통합적 패러다임으로서의 새로운 정보검색이론의 담론을 기대한다.

Virtual Reality (VR) is one of the core components of the fourth industrial revolution as a technology that makes the virtual world feel as if it is real. VR is being used in various fields such as entertainment, advertisement, education, medical care, training, sports, and tourism, as well as providing contents for such things as games and videos. Libraries are already looking for ways to utilize VR from various angles, such as operating experiential programs. The purpose of this thesis is to develop and propose a VR-based library user education program. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we analyzed previous studies from a theoretical perspective to find a way to construct a user education program, and also to derive possible implications based on examples of countries such as the United States and Korea that are already introducing and applying VR technology to library services. Therefore, the user education program proposed in this study can be used as a basic building block when many libraries want to develop VR-based programs in the future.

이 연구는 도서관 견학의 선행연구를 바탕으로 교육적 특성들을 추출하고 이를 교육학적 근거나 이론들에 기반하여 도서관 견학을 재해석함으로써 도서관 견학의 교육학적 토대를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과, 도서관 견학의 교육적 특성으로 경험, 매체, 설명, 해석, 상호작용 등이 도출되었으며 이와 같은 교육적 특성들과 관련이 깊은 교육 이론이나 근거를 중심으로 교육학적 토대를 모색하였다. 도서관 교육방법으로서 도서관 견학의 교육학적 토대로 Dewey의 경험이론, Dale과 Dwyer등의 매체이론, Bruner의 설명하기와 해석하기 그리고 마음이해하기에 대한 앎의 방식이론을 제시하였다. 이 연구가 교육사서로 하여금 교육학적 토대위에서 효과적인 면대면 및 가상공간에서의 도서관 견학프로그램을 계획하고 개발하여 실행하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

This study assesses the psychological aspects which influence job satisfaction among library and information science professionals. The study is based on primary data collected from the library and information science professionals working in the higher education institutions of Jammu and Kashmir, India. In all 264 responses were collected, comprising 44.3% male respondents and 55.7% females. The majority, 74.2% of respondents, are under 45 years of age, while 67.4% of respondents have a master's degree in library and information science. Of the total respondents, 7.6% conceded to being incompetent, while 13.3% viewed their peers as incompetent. The majority, 25% of respondents, replied that the library profession is a thankless job and 70.8% of respondents viewed that they are emotionally attached to their profession, while at the gender level, compared to 75.5% females, 65% of male respondents admitted to being emotionally attached to their profession. The encouraging part is that 26.5% of respondents replied that they love doing their job beyond office hours and 75.8% of respondents replied that they would not seek voluntary retirement, while 41.7% of respondents showed willingness to continue working as library and information science professionals postretirement, if engaged.

급변하는 정보환경 속에서 이용자의 정보 요구는 다양해지고 있으며, 도서관이 전통적인 서비스에서 벗어나 이용자 맞춤의 큐레이션 서비스를 제공할 필요성이 높아지고 있다. "제2차 대학도서관 진흥종합계획(2019~2023)"에서도 이용자 중심의 맞춤서비스를 언급하지만 현 대학도서관 상황에서 이용자 맞춤의 큐레이션 서비스를 시행하기는 어려운 점이 존재한다. 이에 본 연구는 게이미피케이션을 도서관에 적용하기 위해 도서관 내외의 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있는 게이미피케이션의 이론과 사례를 살펴보고 MDA+를 제안하였으며, 도서관 큐레이션 서비스와의 접합점을 찾아 게이미피케이션을 적용한 대학도서관 취업/구직 로드맵 큐레이션 서비스 프로토타입을 구축하였다. 그리고 현장전문가의 검증을 통해 시사점을 도출하였다.

This study has two aims. one is to devide the ideology of reference service into three groups such as conservative, moderative, and progressive theories, and then investigate the validity of each theory as well as any problems to be suggested. The other is to establish appropriate standards of reference service according to the types of libraries and users, based on the analysis of such theories. Each theory has its own merits and demerits. Accordingly, it seems to be difficult to apply uniformly and theory into users who have different types of question and educational levels. And also it is difficult to apply into various libraries which have different aims of establishment, characteristics, and the users of each library. Consequently, it is suggested to set up a norm of reference service according to the types of libraries and users respectively. The conservative theory is applicable to small and medium sized public libraries, school libraries, and college and university libraries of which the users are mainly students and citizens. The progressive theory is desirable for special and academic libraries as well as large public libraries where the users are mainly specialists. and scholars.
