이 연구의 목적은 국제과학비즈니스 벨트에 건립예정인 도서관의 효과적인 운영방안을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 국내외 도서관 중에서 과학비즈니스서비스라는 특화된 서비스를 제공하는 도서관의 사례를 분석하였다. 또한 건립될 도서관에 대한 이용자의 요구를 파악하기 위해 이용자 설문조사를 수행하였다. 사례분석과 설문을 바탕으로 국제과학비즈니스도서관의 효과적 운영방안으로 정보자원 및 특별 프로그램 인적지원 공간제공 국내 협력지원 국제 네트워크 형성의 다섯 가지를 제안하였다. 본 연구는 국제과학비즈니스도서관의 운영에 관한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Mental health experts warn the combination of overwhelming amounts of information, economic instability, political discontent, social injustice, and the high infection and death rates of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic are negatively impacting mental health in ways that may worsen the pandemic and intensify our primal fear of death. Terror Management Theory (TMT) argues that self-esteem and cultural worldviews serve as defenses against the terror of our own mortality. This theory anchor paper introduces TMT to Library and Information Science (LIS) via a selected literature review on TMT's use in the field of Psychology and an extensive discussion on the conceptual connections to LIS supported with empirical research from related disciplines and contexts. The implications, applications, and usefulness of TMT for LIS research, education, and practice are discussed in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and other contexts, and a research agenda is proposed.

The study investigated the Integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the Library and Information Science Curriculum: The Practicum in Library Schools in Rivers State. Descriptive survey design was used with a population 374 comprising 21 LIS educators and 353 Four Hundred Level Library and Information Science Students from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt. Census sampling technique was used to select the LIS educators and purposive sampling technique was used to the select the Four Hundred Level LIS students. Questionnaire and checklist were used for data collection. 90% and 97% responses were found valid for analysis for LIS Educators and LIS students respectively. The study was analyzed using mean rating, standard deviation and simple percentage. The study revealed that ICT courses were integrated into LIS curriculum in Library schools in Rivers State but LIS educators lacked the ICT skills to teach ICT practicum consequently, the students were not properly taught ICT practicum. However, students had positive perception of ICT practicum. Notwithstanding, lack of ICT skills, poor policy implementation, lack of state-of-the-art infrastructure and nonchalant attitudes of staff towards the adoption of ICT constituted the challenges faced in the implementation of ICT practicum. The study therefore, recommended that the management of library schools in Rivers State should implement ICT practicum by hiring competent staff maybe from computers science department to teach the practicum for the interim. Subsequently, recruitment of librarians should include strictly ICT compliant.

기록 보존학은 광의의 의미에서 기록보존자료를 수집, 보존 및 활용이라는 측면에서 문헌정보학의 기본 개념과 유사하다. 역사학계나 행정학계에서도 나름대로 이론적, 논리적 근거를 가지고 기록보존학을 자기 학문영역에 흡수하려고 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 현실에도 불구하고 문헌정보학계에서는 기록보존학에 관한 연구와 관심이 상대적으로 부족하고, 또한 이 학문에 대한 배타적 시각으로 바라보는 경향마저 있다. 본 연구는 도서관과 기록보존소에서 일반적으로 수행되는 각각의 업무와 특성을 상호 비교, 분석함으로써 이들 업무간의 공통점과 차이점을 도출하여 두 학문간의 접목 가능성을 살펴보는데 있다.

본 연구는 2001년부터 2020년까지 문헌정보학 SSCI 85종 학술지에 게재된 55,442편의 학술논문의 논문제목과 초록을 기반으로 다이나믹토픽모델링을 수행하여, 문헌정보학 분야의 연도별 흐름에 따른 연구 주제 추이를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 10개의 토픽에서 도서관경영(장서개발 및 관리, 도서관평가, 도서관 지식경영, 기획 및 활성화), 정보학(계량정보학, 정보이용행태·이용자연구, 의료정보, 정보시스템), 도서관 서비스(도서관교육·정보리터러시), 도서관체계(도서관 시책 및 정책)에 따른 4개의 대분류를 파악하였다. 연도별 흐름에 따라 정보학 영역의 경우, 계량정보학 연구 주제가 학술지단위에서 논문단위로 변화되고 있었으며, 최근 도서관경영 영역의 경우, 이용자의 의견과 감정에 관련한 연구가 최근 등장하였다. 도서관서비스 연구영역은 20년간 안정적인 연구 주제로 그 양상이 보다 심화되고 견고해졌음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 최근에는 모바일과 소셜미디어와 관련한 연구가 진행 중인 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 정보학영역 하위주제로 의료정보와 관련한 연구가 비중 있게 등장해, 문헌정보학의 간학문적인 특징이 잘 나타난 결과라 판단하였다.

문헌정보학과 교육실습실에는 분류와 편목의 실습 수업을 할 수 있는 분류·편목 실습실과 첨단의 매체나 시청각 기재 또는 실습용 교구를 사용하여 수업을 할 수 있는 영상매체 실습실, 인터넷을 통한 다양한 정보 검색 방법을 체득하게 하고, 정보착용 능력을 길러 주며, 컴퓨터 관련 정보학 교과 수업을 할 수 있는 정보처리 실습실을 둔다.

When the unification process was established, West German librarians formed a commission for all library and information sectors. After legal unification, the committee formed 6 Arbeitsgruppe(AG) to develop library and information policies for the country. This was designed specially to elevate the level of the East German library system to the West German standard. The first AG concerns the public libraries. The second AG focuses on the education system for library and information specialists. The third AG examines the academic libraries. The fourth AG reviews the regional and national library services and the central organization. The fifth AG explores library and information techniques. The sixth and final AG inspects the legal problem of libraries. Each AG consists of specialists from both East and West German library systems who are experts in their particular subject area. The committee has general meetings to determine the best direction for the nation's library system. Common knowledge indicates this unification was based on economical amalgamation(fusion) from East Germany to West Germany. The unification resulted in the library and information recommendations tending to favor the more advanced West German policies. In this process there are a number of subtle ideological and psychological problems. If before the separation they had developed their library system as one entity, they could overcome the current differences. with much less confusion. In this political phenomenon we can learn that cultural unification needs more time than political unification.

From the 1957's of the cradle which curricula of library science was applicable to university to the 1978's today of heyday, it has been rapidly developing in the 20 years (1957-1978) and they have 5 junior colleges, 9 undergraduate courses, 5 graduate courses, 1 Ph. D. course. The education of library science above the undergraduate course was given greatly prominence to the theory of library science, information science and foreign languages more than that of the putting first in the practical business and built up the educational system of library science. Today is the informatization period from the 1960's. The fact which the automation of library works was attached in the latter half of the 1970's in Korea is the social need in order to respond to the worldwide tendency. As a result of making an analysis of curricula from junior colleges to graduate schools in this paper, I took the new direction which it is an alternative plan of the point at issue, and I want to be useful in the education of library science forwards.

Attitudinal barriers which grow out of prejudice because of lack of public awareness of all the information services for the blind and visually disabled persons. 2. The development and distribution of reading aids and innovative technology improving access to information for the blind and visually disabled persons. 3. Extension of information service in public library for the blind and visually disabled persons. 4. Copyright problems. 5. Facilities or architectural problems for the blind and visually disabled persons.

본 연구에서는 지난 20년간(1991년~2011년)의 한국 문헌정보학 교과과정을 분석함으로써 교과목의 변화를 분석하고자 하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 총 개설과목 수가 전체적으로 증가하여 왔고, 학부제로 전환하면서 학부기초과목 수는 증가하였고, 핵심과목 수는 감소하였으며, 다시 학과제로 전환하면서 학부기초과목 수는 감소하고, 핵심과목 수는 증가한 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 전국 34개 4년제 문헌정보학과의 교과과정을 문헌정보학일반, 정보조직학, 정보조사제공학, 도서관 정보센터경영학, 정보학, 서지학, 기록관리학으로 구분하여 각 영역별 분포도를 조사하였는데, 지난 20년간 정보조사제공학과 정보학 분야를 제외한 대부분의 영역에서 그 교과목 수가 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 본 연구를 통해서 사라진 과목, 과목 명칭이 바뀐 과목, 여러 과목이 통합된 과목, 하나의 과목이 여러 과목으로 세분화된 과목, 그리고 시대의 발전에 따라 새롭게 등장한 과목들이 밝혀졌다.
