  • Nowadays, people share and discuss scientific papers on social media such as the Web 2.0, big data, online forums, blogs, Twitter, Facebook and scholar community, etc. In addition to a variety of metrics such as numbers of citation, download, recommendation, etc., paper review text is also one of the effective resources for the study of scientific impact. The social media tools improve the research process: recording a series online scholarly behaviors. This paper aims to research the huge amount of paper reviews which have generated in the social media platforms to explore the implicit information about research papers. We implemented and shown the result of text mining on review texts using R language. And we found that Zika virus was the research hotspot and association research methods were widely used in 2016. We also mined the news review about one paper and derived the public opinion.

  • A Southern-hybridization analysis and size-selected DNA library screening led to the isolation of a 6.3-kbp S. setonii DNA fragment, from which the Cl20-encoding genetic locus was found to be located within a 1.4-kbp DNA fragment. A complete nucleotide sequencing analysis of the 1.4-kbp DNA fragment revealed a 0.84-kbp ORF, which showed a strong overall amino acid similarity to the known high-G+C gram-positive bacterial mesophilic C120s. The heterologous expression of the cloned 1.4-kbp DNA fragment in E. coli demonstrated that this Cl20 possessed a thermophilic activity within a broad temperature range and showed a higher activity against 3-methy1catechol than catechol or 4-methy-catechol, but no activity against protocatecuate.

  • A growing number of studies have demonstrated that ABCB1 gene polymorphisms are associated with the variability of responses to imatinib. However, the effects of ABCB1 polymorphisms on imatinib response in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) are inconsistent. The aim of the present study was to clarify the associations between ABCB1 polymorphisms and imatinib response in CML. A systematic literature review was performed. The databases of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched for all published studies from inception to December 2015. The following terms were used with functions of 'AND' and 'OR': 'chronic myeloid leukemia', 'CML', 'ABCB1', 'MDR1', 'polymorphism', 'SNP', and 'imatinib'. Using the Review Manager 5, odds ratios (ORs) were pooled to estimate the effect of ABCB1 polymorphisms on imatinib response in CML. The pooled analysis showed that ABCB1 2677 G allele was significantly associated with poor response to imatinib in African and Asian patients (GG vs TT, OR: 0.32, p<0.0001; GG+GT vs TT, OR: 0.44, p=0.0005). In subgroup analyses, African patients carrying ABCB1 1236 C allele exhibited higher risk for worse response, whereas Asian patients with 1236 C allele showed better response (CC+CT vs TT, OR: 0.41, p=0.008 for African; OR: 1.65, p=0.03 for Asian). There was no association between C3435T polymorphisms and imatinib response in African, Asian, and Caucasian CML patients.

  • Introduction: This systematic review evaluated the use of buffered versus non-buffered lidocaine to increase the efficacy of inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB). Materials and Methods: Randomized, double-blinded studies from PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, and ProQuest were identified. Two of the authors assessed the studies for risk of bias. Outcomes included onset time, injection pain on a visual analog scale (VAS), percentage of painless injections, and anesthetic success rate of IANB. Results: The search strategy yielded 19 references. Eleven could be included in meta-analyses. Risk of bias was unclear in ten and high in one study. Buffered lidocaine showed 48 seconds faster onset time (95% confidence interval [CI], -42.06 to -54.40; P < 0.001) and 5.0 units lower (on a scale 0-100) VAS injection pain (95% CI, -9.13 to -0.77; P=0.02) than non-buffered. No significant difference was found on percentage of people with painless injection (P = 0.059), nor success rate (P = 0.290). Conclusion: Buffered lidocaine significantly decreased onset time and injection pain (VAS) compared with non-buffered lidocaine in IANB. However due to statistical heterogeneity and low sample size, quality of the evidence was low to moderate, additional studies with larger numbers of participants and low risk of bias are needed to confirm these results.

  • Purpose: This systematic review was planned and performed in order to determine the clinical effectiveness of acupuncture for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Methods: We searched related randomized controlled trials in several medical online databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Excerpta Medica dataBASE (EMBASE), Public/Publisher MEDLINE (PubMed), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), National Digital Science Library (NDSL), and Research Information Sharing Service (RISS). NAFLD related outcomes were extracted from the included trials and meta-analyzed. Results: From the 8 included trials, the values of the following examinations were extracted: liver ultrasonography, liver CT, body fat CT, aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, fasting blood sugar (FBS), hosmeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), weight, body mass index (BMI), waist hip ratio (WHR), obesity degree, body fat mass, body fat rate, leptin, malondialdehyde (MDA), and super oxide dismutase (SOD). In the 4 outcomes, cure rate in liver ultrasonography (RR=1.56; 95%CI=1.05~2.31; P=0.03), cure rate in liver CT (RR=2.23; 95%CI=1.33~3.72; P=0.002), TC (MD=-0.78; 95%CI=-1.41~-0.15; P=0.02), and TG (MD=-2.05; 95%CI=-3.88~-0.21; P=0.03), acupuncture was more effective than the control intervention. Conclusions: In this meta-analysis, acupuncture relieved hepatic steatosis, and reduced TC, and TG in NAFLD patients. more well-planned studies are still needed due to the heterogeneity and the considerable methodological flaws in the analyzed trials.

  • Objectives: Identification of axillary metastases in breast cancer is important for staging disease and planning treatment, but current techniques are associated with a number of adverse events. This report evaluates the diagnostic accuracy of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques for identification of axillary metastases in breast cancer patients. Methods: We performed a meta-analysis of previous studies that compared SPIO enhanced MRI with histological diagnosis after surgery or biopsy. We searched PubMed, Ovid, Springer Link, and Cochrane library to identify studies reporting data for SPIO enhanced MRI for detection of axillary lymph node metastases in breast cancer until December 2013. The following keywords were used: "magnetic resonance imaging AND axilla" and "superparamagnetic iron oxide AND axilla". Eligible studies were those that compared SPIO enhanced MRI with histological diagnosis. Sensitivity and specificity were calculated for every study; summary receiver operating characteristic and subgroup analyses were done. Study quality and heterogeneity were also assessed. Results: There were 7 publications that met the criteria for inclusion in our meta-analysis. SROC curve analysis for per patient data showed an overall sensitivity of 0.83 (95% Confidence interval (CI): 0.75-0.89) and overall specificity of 0.97 (95% CI: 0.94-0.98). Overall weighted area under the curve was 0.9563. Conclusions: SPIO enhanced MRI showed a trend toward high diagnostic accuracy in detection of lymph node metastases for breast cancer. So, when the breast cancer patients has axillary metastases histologically, SPIO enhanced MRI may be effective diagnostic imaging modality for axillary metastases.

  • This paper describes a design of variable-length FFT/IFFT processor (VL_FCore) for OFDM-based multi-standard communication systems. The VL_FCore adopts in-place single-memory architecture, and uses a hybrid structure of radix-4 and radix-2 DIF algorithms to accommodate various FFT lengths in the range of $N=64{\times}2^k\;(0{\leq}k{\leq}7)$. To achieve both memory size reduction and the improved SQNR, a two-step conditional scaling technique is devised, which conditionally scales the intermediate results of each computational stage. The performance analysis results show that the average SQNR's of 64~8,192-point FFT's are over 60-dB. The VL_FCore synthesized with a $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS cell library has 23,000 gates and 32 Kbytes memory, and it can operate with 75-MHz@3.3-V clock. The 64-point and 8,192-point FFT's can be computed in $2.25-{\mu}s$ and $762.7-{\mu}s$, respectively, thus it satisfies the specifications of various OFDM-based systems.
