Development of Lightning Arrester Degradation Monitoring System Using ZCT (ZCT틀 이용한 피뢰기 열화 감시 시스템 개발)

  • The lightning arrester is a very important overvoltage protection device in the electric power system. Therefore, the inspection of lightning arrester whether it keeps its performance or not properly has close related to verifying the safety confidence of the electric power system. But the development of the deterioration measuring method and on-line detecting system, is necessary to monitor the deterioration of the lightening arrestor. In this paper, we developed the lightning arrester degradation monitoring system. This system detected leakage current of lightning arrester by using the ZCT, and analyze the third harmonics ingredient of leakage current using DFT method in the Data Acquisition Unit(DAU). The analyzed current signal is transmit to the Human-Machine Interface(HMI), and HMI alarmed when accident are occurred and informed with the amplitude of leakage current to the operator.

  • 유한체적법(Finite Volume Method)은 기계공학분야에서 열, 유체현상을 수치해석하는 방법으로 널리 쓰이고 있다. 열전달(Heat Transfer)문제의 지배방정식은 에너지방정식(Energy equation)으로써 그 중 순수 전도문제의 경우 지배방정식은 라플라스(Laplace)방정식의 형태를 띄고 있다. 전계해석의 지배방정식 역시 라플라스 방정식의 형태이다. 수학적으로 동일한 지배방정식을 갖는 다는 것은 물리적으로 같은 현상을 나타내고 있다는 것을 의미하며 이러한 점에 착안을 하여 본 논문에서는 유한체적법을 사용하여 2차원 모델에 대한 전계해석을 수행하였다.

  • The popularity of flat-panel display(FPD), including plasma display panel(PDP) and liquid-crystal display(LCD), has given rise to the need to streamline their production. In these days, PDP is one of the most popular display devices because of its expansion of manufacturing process and simplicity. Bus electrodes, sustain electrodes, barrier ribs and RGB phosphors are patterned on PDP panel to display an image. Since a minute damage on the pattern can cause a serious defect to display, it is important to inspect the pattern precisely. In this paper, an automatic inspection system of repeated pattern in PDP panel has been introduced to find the defect, such as open, short, dirt, island, and so on. And the inspection system has been operated in the mass production line of PDP.

  • To get rid of cell assembly margin and have more process room of upper substrate, we developed truly COT (Color Filter On TFF Array) LCDs in that B/M (Black Matrix) as well as C/F (Color Filter) layer is located on TFT substrate. Novel B/M material is also developed for this COT structure. Difficulty in making contact hole through C/F layer was solved by making each C/F pattern isolated from others. We think this configuration will be core technology for prominent COT LCDs.

  • This paper presents the small current interruption capability of $SF_6$ puffer circuit breaker considering pre-condition. Firstly, the change of dielectric strength of the 3 breakers was compared with testing breakers as clean contacts and eroded contacts after 3 shots of 760 according to new IEC 62271-100 standard. Also the dielectric strength curve of each model was calculated through flow and electric field simulations. From these results, we could modify the empirical equation, being used to predict the dielectric strength of small current interruption capability, considering the effects of pre-condition.

  • The Performance of a PEMFC stack is strongly dependent on the uniform reactants distribution on MEA. The uniform distribution can be achieved by flow-field pattern and manifold design optimized to satisfy operating conditions. This paper investigates uniform reactants distribution in channels by changing manifold shape and inlet mass flow rate. Typical U and Z shape and modified U and Z shape manifolds with buffer zone were designed. To check the uniform reactants distribution, standard deviation of mass flow rate was compared. The numerical results show that the inlet mass flow rate, inlet shape, and manifolds shape are critical factor for uniform distribution.
