치위생과 강의식 수업에서 효과적인 교수행동 (Efficient teaching behavior in lecture-style instruction of dental hygiene)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine what teaching behavior would have a good effect on learners in lecture-style instruction in the department of dental hygiene. Methods : The subjects in this study were 650 students who were in the three-year department of dental hygiene at four colleges in Gyeonggi Province and Chungcheong Province. After a survey was conducted, frequency analysis and ANOVA were utilized to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows. Results : The students put the highest value on knowledge among the factors of teaching behavior irrespective of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, followed by skills and attitude. Out of every subfactor, they set the highest value on a sense of humor regardless of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, and put the lowest value on the attitude factor such as enthusiasm. There were differences among the students in evaluation of the factors of teaching behavior according to academic year, and the students whose academic year was higher set a higher value on the factors of teaching behavior. There were no differences according to their academic standing and learning style. Conclusions : The dental hygiene students viewed the knowledge factor as the effective factor of teaching behavior, and regarded a sense of humor as the best subfactor. Although the attitude factor like enthusiasm is important, it seemed that the students hoped for the kind of instruction that would be delightful, intriguing and clearly convey what to learn.

  • The objectives of this study were to measure the effect of Practical Reasoning Instruction in Home Economics : specifically. its effect on developing of critical thinking as well as to evaluate the degree of the critical thinking process. with reference to its sub-factors and the level. The research subjects were consisted of the experimental group of 119 freshman class female students from the “A” High School and the comparative group of 110 freshman class female student from the “C” High School in the city of Chung-Ju. This research was conducted under the pre-post test control group design. administering the Pre-Post testing to both the experimental and the comparative groups. The experimental group was subjected to Practical Reasoning Instruction in Home Economics : whereas the comparative group was taught under the lecture-Instruction in Home Economics The research findings are as follows: 1. Those who studied Home Economics under the Practical reasoning method scored higher on the critical thinking Process than the comparative group students who were taught Home Economics in the lecture-style approach. 2. The experimental group of students. who studied Home Economics under the Practical reasoning method. scored higher than the comparative group in their ability to perceive assumption and to render Judgment among the five sub-factors of their critical thinking processes.

ARCS 동기유발 전략을 적용한 가정과 식품표시 수업이 중학생의 학습동기와 식품표시에 대한 인식 및 활용도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Food Labeling Home Economics Instruction applying ARCS Motivation Teaching Strategy on Middle School Students' Learning Motivation, Recognition and Use of Food Labels)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중학교 기술 가정 교과의 식품표시와 관련된 수업을 ARCS 동기유발전략을 적용하여 개발한 후 이 수업이 학습동기와 식품표시에 대한 인식과 활용에 효과를 주는지 검증하는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 ARCS 동기유발 전략을 적용한 식품표시 관련 가정과 수업의 교수 학습 과정안을 총 4차시 개발하였고, 사전-사후 실험설계를 사용하여, 실험집단 4학급은 ARCS 동기유발전략을 적용한 수업을, 비교집단 3학급은 강의식 수업을 적용하여 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전 점수와 사후 점수를 비교하였다. 불성실하게 응답한 7부를 제외한 203부를 대상으로 SPSS Win 12.0을 이용하여 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ARCS 동기유발전략을 적용한 식품표시 관련 가정과 수업의 교수 학습 과정안과 학습자료, 교사용 참고자료를 4개의 학습주제(영양성분표시, 식품첨가물, 유전자조작과 방사선조사식품, 식품품질인증표시)별로 개발하였다. 둘째, 학습동기에 대한 실험에서 사전 학습동기를 통제한 공변량 분석을 실시한 결과, ARCS 동기유발수업을 받은 실험집단과 강의식 수업을 받은 비교집단의 학습동기와 동기유발요소(주의집중, 관련성, 자신감, 만족감) 모두에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 사전 식품표시에 대한 인식을 통제한 공변량 분석을 실시한 결과, 사후 식품표시에 대한 인식 검사에서 식품표시에 대한 인식이 수업방법에 따라 실험집단과 비교집단 간에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그리고 식품표시에 대한 인식 하위영역인 식품표시사항 이해도와 식품표시 실생활 도움 및 교육필요도에서도 모두 유의한 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 사전 식품표시 활용도를 통제한 공변량 분석을 실시한 결과, 식품표시 활용도에 대한 사후 식품표시 활용도는 수업방법에 따라 실험집단과 비교집단간에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그리고 식품표시 활용도 하위영역인 식품표시사항 활용도와 식품선택시 활용도 모두에서도 유의한 차이를 보였다.

학교보건교육 수행실태 및 영향요인분석 (An Analysis of School Health Education Patterns and Related Factors in Korea)

  • The objectives of this study are to explain the performance patterns of health education and related factors in elementary middle, and high schools in Korea. The survey data were collected by questionnaires from June to September in 1998. the number of subjects were 294 school nurses. The SAS-pc program was used for statistical analyses such as percent distribution, a $x^2-test$, a Spearman correlation est., and logistic regression analysis. The major results were as follows: 1. The performance rates of health education by elementary, middle and high schools was higher than before. But the education time was not as sufficient as desired. 2. Planning and practice for health education in elementary and middle schools were high. The preparation of the instruction for health education in elementary school was especially strong. 3. The need survey for health education was low '-' 32~46%. The performance rates of health education increased yearly in elementary school. 4. The reference data were insufficient for health education; In other words, it was difficult for a systematic education. 5. Usually lecture and other methods were used. 10-15% used only the lecture method. 6. The content of heath education was life style in the lower levels of elementary school, Drinking, smoking, drug use etc. were concentrated on in middle and high school. 7. The education evaluation and application was activated in elementary school, otherwise, was low in high school. 8. School nurses and school performance in health education were influenced significatly by planning of health education and the instruction of heath education in elementary school. In the case of planning, the budget was a significant variable; in the case of instruction, the number of school classs was significant. In conclusion, these findings suggest that a developed health education curriculum be performed gearly in order to create a systematic school health education. Also, it is necessary to activate an evaluation to system measure behavioral changes. It is expected that the improvement of school health education be accomplished through the systematic support of schools by government in the physical, economi, and psychological areas.

교사, 수업 변인과 학생 성취도의 상관관계 - TIMSS-1999 결과 분석 - (The Relationship between Teacher, Instruction Variables and Students - Achievement based on TIMSS-1999 -)

  • This article is to provide information on school contexts for learning and instruction of mathematics based on the results and data of TIMSS 1999. It is organized around two major topics: teacher and students achievement, instruction and students achievement In this article the following summarizes the major findings. First, about $50\%$ of Korean eight-grade students were taught mathematics by teachers in their 30s, and this was higher than the international average. Most of teachers in Korea had certification of teachers majors in mathematics. Korean teachers reported relatively low confidence to teach mathematics compared to other counties. And Korean students taught by teachers who believes they were well prepared attained low achievement scores in contrast to international result. Second, korean teachers spent about $50\%$ of their formally scheduled school time teaching their subject, but is was below the international average. They spent much more time on administrative duties and other related activities than other countries. Korean students reported that most of their class time were spent lecture style presentations by teacher. Also they reported that teachers showed them how to do mathematics. The percentages of Korean students were placed on the low level of index of emphasis on mathematics reasoning and problem-solving. The students taught by teachers who emphasized reasoning and problem-solving showed low achievement scores in contrast with result of the previous literatures. Korean teachers didn't seem to emphasize homework and assessments. Internationally, teachers frequently used teacher-made objective tests and projects or practical exercises, but Korean teachers die less in most of categories. Based on the above findings, this article presents implications about teacher education, reduction of administrative working in teachers tasks, using everyday life topics, as learning materials, specialization instruction methods for each subject matter. This article is a kind of descriptive and factual in nature, but some attempt has been made to contextualize these results focused on teachers and instruction.

블랜디드 러닝이 지적장애 학생의 스마트 폰과 애플리케이션 사용 능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Blended Learning on Abilities to Use Smart-Phone and Applications among Students with Intellectual Disabilities)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 블랜디드 러닝이 지적장애 학생의 스마트 폰 및 애플리케이션 사용 능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하는 것이었다. 전라남도와 광주에 소재하는 특수학교와 특수학급에 재학하고 있는 고등학교 학생 30명을 연구대상으로 선정하였고, 각 15명씩 실험집단과 통제집단에 배치하였다. 실험집단은 직접교수와 앵커드 교수, 체험교육 및 지역사회 중심 교수를 결합한 블랜디드 러닝 수업에 참여하였고, 통제집단은 전통적인 교사 중심의 강의식 수업에 참여하였다. 평가는 사전평가와 사후평가를 하였고, 중재가 끝나고 2주 후 유지평가를 하였다. 연구자료는 반복측정 이원분산분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험집단은 통제집단보다 스마트 폰과 애플리케이션 사용 능력에 있어 유의미하게 향상하였다. 그러므로 블랜디드 러닝은 지적장애 학생에게 스마트 폰과 애플리케이션을 지도할 때 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 교수방법이 될 수 있다.

XML 기반의 사이버 강좌관리 시스템 (Cyber-Lecture Management System based on XML)

  • 웹의 빠른 발전은 인터넷 기반의 원격 교육 도구들을 급속히 성장시키고 있다. 웹에서는 상호간의 정보를 서로 교환하고 표현할 때 사용자의 브라우저에서 볼 수 있는 HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language)로 제작된다. 하지만, HTML 의 구조적 단점은 모든 분야의 데이터를 저장 하고 다른 형태의 데이터로 변화될 수 있는 강한 힘을 지닌 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)을 필요로 하게 되었다. 그러나 강력한 XML 자체만으로 장점을 활용하여 어렵기 때문에 관련 XML 표준의 적절한 응용이 필요하다. 현재 사이버 교육 사이트들의 강좌 데이터는 서로 공유될 수 없으므로 사용자들은 사이버스쿨이 제공하는 기능만을 수동적으로 사용하기만 해야 한다. 이 한계를 해결할 수 있는 방법으로서, 본 연구에서는 사이버 강좌관리 시스템을 위해 통일된 XML데이터 구조를 정의하고 서버와 클라이언트의 처리되는 모델을 제시하였다. 웹에서의 가상 교육에 대한 데이터를 XML 로 저장함으로서 한번 저장된 데이터를 어떤 사이트에서든 조금의 수정없이 재 사용할 수 있게 되었다. 사용자적인 측면에서, 교수자와 학습자를 두어 어떤 종류의 사이버강좌라도 쉽게 관리할 수 있고 다양한 멀티미디어 자료와 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하여 많은 학습자료들을 두어 어떤 종류의 사이버강좌라도 쉽게 관리할 수 있고 다양한 멀티미디어 자료와 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스를 제통해 XML 형태로 저장하고 추출하므로써 가능하게 되었고 정보활용에 극대화를 가져올 것이다.
