  • The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between family strengths and teacher-efficacy among married female teachers. The findings are as follows: First, the average value of family strength was 3.98 on a five-point Likert scale, which meant that they perceived themselves as having a relatively high-level of family strength. Second, the average value of leather-efficacy was 3.14 on a five-point Likert scale, which the teachers' perceptions of their own efficacy were also relatively high. 'The subjective economic status affected the level of the family strength, whereas the leather-efficacy was affected by age, years in teaching, duration of marriage, and the age of the eldest child. Finally, the variables that influenced their techer-efficacy were positive communication, social connectedness, and the age of the eldest child.

  • In modern fashion, accessories are recognized as indispensable articles for the completion of a look. Scarf and muffler has attained significance as a main fashion item. The purpose of study was to analyze the motifs of special material for muffler design on special material, and to seek unique and decorative effect using three dimensional method on the flat surfaced textile to give novelty. This study introduced technique of applying embroidery onto special materials such as fur and leather to achieve variety of texture effect. The results are as follows: Six designs were proposed. Each work has different detail and silhouette, and the unique motif design using embroidery with cotton, nylon, and bead on fur, leather, wool, and satin. This will be a method to develop value-added products in fashion and formative arts.

  • In this study, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and dimethylolbutanoic acid (DMBA) were used on the basis of poly caprolactone diol (3M, 3.5M, 4M, 4.5M) for the synthesis of water-based polyurethanes for coating on skin layers of leather. Tensile strength, elongation, and adhesive strength of the prepared samples were measured. As a result of measuring the tensile strength, the tensile strength was found to be 4.09 kgf / ㎟ when 3 moles were applied, and 1.071 kgf / ㎟ when 4.5 moles were applied. Elongation was 366 % when 3 moles of PCL were applied, and 709 % at 4.5 moles. Adhesive strength was 2.887 kgf / cm when 3 moles of PCL was applied and 0.998 kgf / cm when 4.5 moles were applied.

  • Blends of collagen dispersion (COL) with poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) in different weight ratios were investigated by oscillatory rheometry, Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. It was found that even with 80% of PVA, the COL/PVA blends behaved more like collagen dispersion than pure PVA solution in the dynamic thermal and frequency processing, for instance, a dominant elastic appearance (G'>G"), a similar shear thinning behavior and the thermal denaturation below $40^{\circ}C$. However, influence on the blend behaviour by PVA was noticeable, for instance, an increase of dynamic denaturation temperature, the decreasing intensity of amide I, II and III bands as well as the diminishing irregular pores on the surface of blends. The interaction between collagen and PVA could be observed, especially at the regions with low content or high content of PVA.

  • The adsorption of Acid Blue 92 onto three low cost and ecofriendly biosorbents viz., cow dung ash, mango stone ash and parthenium leaves ash and commercial activated carbon have discussed in this work. The ash of all the mentioned bio-wastes was prepared in the muffle furnace at $500^{\circ}C$ and all the adsorbents were stored in an air thermostat. Experiments at total dye concentrations of 10~100 mg/L were carried out with a synthetic effluent prepared in the laboratory. The parameters such as pH and dye concentration were varied. Equilibrium adsorption data followed both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The results indicate that cow dung ash, mango stone ash and parthenium leaves ash could be employed as low-cost alternatives to commercial activated carbon in wastewater treatment for the removal of dye.

  • On the basis of the use of shoes, the outsole, which is mainly made of rubber, has various characteristics. The most important of these characteristics is abrasion resistance and friction. Generally, the abrasion resistance can be improved by adding more reinforcing filler such as silica to the rubber; however, the friction force drops. Owing to these problems, rubber having excellent abrasion resistance and rubber having excellent frictional force are blended. In this study, various characteristics, including wear resistance and friction, were evaluated by blending NBR/SBR or NBR/BR mixture with high wear resistance and CIIR with high friction. The CIIR was increased up to 60 phr, whereas the friction wear characteristics were rapidly changed in the NBR/CIIR blend ratio from 75:15 to 60:30.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the transition of luster material after the tweentieth century. This study was conducted by means of designer collection, journal of fashion, museum data, fabric exhibition and Internet data. The results of this study were as follows: Before the synthetic fiber period, the luster materials were used satin, chamuse, gauze, damask brocade and velvet, except cashmere, mohair and rayon. They are made from silk by the way of giving difference surface property. But since 1960s, it has used not only synthetic fiber with smooth surface but also vinyl, latex, natural leather, synthetic leather and metal. Luster material recently has a tendency to natural and soft shiny, example silket finish, chintz finish, silico coating finish with paper touch feel and so forth.

  • Undenatured castor oil and trimethylolpropane (TMP) were used to obtain bio-based water-based polyurethane. Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) was incorporated into the formulation to obtain a transparent film, and ethylenediamine (EDA) was used for chain extension. In order to measure the change in physical properties according to the contents of castor oil and TMP, each tensile strength, elongation, and abrasion resistance test was conducted. As the contents of castor oil and TMP increased, the tensile strength increased, the elongation decreased, and the surface hardened strongly as the respective contents increased.
