  • In this study, I examined the concept of action learning, its characteristics, operation method, and action learning cases in domestic and foreign countries. Also, I studied the possibility of using action learning in teaching healthy family specialist education. I researched the wellbeing action learning held from June 10 to June 20, 2007, with 20 participants. I conducted interviews and wrote a paper about how much action learning subjects were helped in their improving task-handling ability, its merits and drawbacks, and suggestions the subjects had about their participation in. The results were as shown below. First, the Catholic Welfare Department of Baekseok Uuniversity developed and operated action learning subjects to improve task-handling abilities in NURY business. Second, the action team valuated its subjects that everyone had fear and burden about action learning, but as time goes by, their confidence and adaptation ability have been improved. Also, organization staff and coaches answered that it was helpful to their self-development and improve capacity.

  • Lecture theatres and computing laboratories are common types of classrooms used for teaching and learning in this study; both were equipped with a computer network through which teachers and students can access learning management system, digital library, educational software, and so on. Students were divided into groups of two or three; each group of students collaborated on the worksheets in the laboratory and naturally sat together when attending a class held in the lecture theatre. The social organization of classroom learning would promote student learning but what drives student learning; how to engage students with learning; and how to maintain their interest in learning are of research interest in the present study. The study illustrated the theoretical and empirical links, student motivation has a relation to rich collaboration with peers, communication as verbal interactions as well as teacher-student interactions. These are within socio-cultural contexts for learning to take place. The study was extended to make comparisons of the motivational orientations between student genders. It was found that female students were keener on fun or enjoyment in learning, peer communication, and teacher's intervention, whereas male students were concerned more about digital learning tools, a positive working relationship, social reciprocity, and interpersonal relationships.

  • This paper complements the work of Courtney et al. in viewing learning organizations as inquiring systems. Hegelian inquiring systems are based on the dialectic. Dialectic can not exist without dialogue. The guarantor of this system is conflict. Hegelian inquiring systems would facilitate multiple and contradictory interpretations of reality. Hegelian synthesis of two opposing models-thesis and antithesis-is the epitome of open systems and double-loop learning. Knowledge gained from the Hegelian inquiring systems may result in an entirely new strategic direction to organizations. This paper reviews some guidelines and principles of Hegelian learning organizations and IT support of it. Also it proposes the immediate deployment of Hegelian learning organizations in the wicked business environments and finally suggests the development of new, flexible information technologies and systems for Hegelian organizations.

  • This paper presents an analysis of the Teaching and Learning for a Sustainable Future (TLSF) program, an innovative teacher education and regular professional development by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) employing the curriculum analysis framework created by Posner. Using this framework the analyst found that the TLSF design is based on good research in regard to learning, teaching, and assessment now driving efforts to reform environmental teacher education. Ongoing development of the TLSF program in the research setting of an international level permits ever deeper connection with emerging curriculum theory and curriculum practice and allows new linkage as ideas are tested in research classrooms.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope education for sustainable development of understanding programme. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, this programme is intended to enhance an university student's basic understanding, core skills and viewpoint of sustainable development. Secondly, the programme contains 10 modules, organised in four thematic sections. Each module is made up of two or three activities that are supposed to encourage adult learners in their mature understanding of sustainable development. Thirdly, there are three key teaching-learning strategies such as a case study, story telling and project study. These teaching-learning methods play a key role in the learning process. In conclusion, it is expected to indicate the goal and the value of the sustainable development clearly, and to provide the related information and knowledge constantly and systematically in the learning for sustainable development. Thus, it would be possible to enhance learner's awareness and attitudes towards sustainable development.

  • Neuroblastoma is a major cause of cancer death in early childhood, and its timely and correct diagnosis is critical. Gene expression datasets have recently been considered as a powerful tool for cancer diagnosis and subtype classification. However, no attempts have yet been made to apply deep learning using gene expression to neuroblastoma classification, although deep learning has been applied to cancer diagnosis using image data. Taking the International Neuroblastoma Staging System stages as multiple classes, we designed a deep neural network using the gene expression patterns and stages of neuroblastoma patients. Despite a small patient population (n = 280), stage 1 and 4 patients were well distinguished. If it is possible to replicate this approach in a larger population, deep learning could play an important role in neuroblastoma staging.

  • The learning, which is an extended concept from the concept of continuos improvement and replace it, has become a very important core concept in Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award these days. The most potent core value among 11 core values is 'organizational and personal learning' Embedded learning in the organization is also a critical part to get a high score in approach scoring criteria for 6 categories except results category. But the concept of learning is often overlooked for the people who have interests in MB award or TQM. This paper review and analyze the concept of learning which has appeared In MB criteria since it's first appearance.

  • COVID-19 is a crisis with numerous casualties. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the use of masks as an essential safety measure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, whether or not to wear a mask is an important issue when entering and exiting public places and institutions. However, this makes face recognition a very difficult task because certain parts of the face are hidden. As a result, face identification and identity verification in the access system became difficult. In this paper, we propose a system that can detect masked face using transfer learning of Yolov5s and recognize the user using transfer learning of Facenet. Transfer learning preforms by changing the learning rate, epoch, and batch size, their results are evaluated, and the best model is selected as representative model. It has been confirmed that the proposed model is good at detecting masked face and masked face recognition.
