스마트 배움터 시스템 설계에 관한 연구 (Eliciting and Analyzing Requirements for Smart Environment for Future-Oriented Learning and Coaching)

  • In education, innovative ways of teaching and learning are always under development and keep being proposed with advanced concepts since the ancient times. Student-centered learning, problem-based learning and cooperative learning have been three major trends under development in secondary education research and practice more than a decade or so. Combined with advanced information and communication technologies, these trends will greatly transform the way we teach and learn in classroom environment and may change the classroom environment itself, into a more interactive and self-centered coaching type environment. In this study, a smart environment that utilizes advanced information technology devices and network is conceptualized, accommodating requirements contained and proposed in the recent trendy pedagogies. Pedagogical cases discussed in these trends are analyzed in detail, producing requirements for such a learning and coaching environment. These requirements are modeled using unified modeling language, leading to a proposal of a basic architecture for an information system supporting this environment.

인간의 학습과정 시뮬레이션에 의한 경험적 데이터를 이용한 최적화 방법 (An Empirical Data Driven Optimization Approach By Simulating Human Learning Processes)

  • This study suggests a data driven optimization approach, which simulates the models of human learning processes from cognitive sciences. It shows how the human learning processes can be simulated and applied to solving combinatorial optimization problems. The main advantage of using this method is in applying it into problems, which are very difficult to simulate. 'Undecidable' problems are considered as best possible application areas for this suggested approach. The concept of an 'undecidable' problem is redefined. The learning models in human learning and decision-making related to combinatorial optimization in cognitive and neural sciences are designed, simulated, and implemented to solve an optimization problem. We call this approach 'SLO : simulated learning for optimization.' Two different versions of SLO have been designed: SLO with position & link matrix, and SLO with decomposition algorithm. The methods are tested for traveling salespersons problems to show how these approaches derive new solution empirically. The tests show that simulated learning for optimization produces new solutions with better performance empirically. Its performance, compared to other hill-climbing type methods, is relatively good.

의학교육에서의 교육정보시스템 활용 (Utilization of an Educational Information System for Medical Education)

  • The teaching and learning environment in medical schools is significantly different from that of other academic fields. An educational information system specifically designed for medical education could be an important solution for the unique context of medical education. In this study, the concept of the educational information system has been reviewed, and how such a system can be utilized effectively for medical education has also been explored. This paper also addresses how learning management systems for online learning could be made more effective through educational information systems. The application of flipped learning, which has been developing rapidly to improve teaching and learning, for medical education was also investigated. In conclusion, it was found that educational information systems could be a solution to various teaching and learning issues in medical schools. In particular, given that high performing students tend to enter medical schools, using educational information systems to improve the teaching and learning environment in medical school should be investigated further.

K-MOOC 참여자의 학습효과 분석 연구 (A Study on the Learning Effectiveness Analysis of K-MOOC Learners)

  • This study analyzed the learning effect on K-MOOC. It was confirmed how the ease and interaction of K-MOOC affects learning satisfaction and Learning Persistence. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the interaction and ease of K-MOOC learners had a positive effect on learning satisfaction. Second, it was found that the ease and interaction of K-MOOC learners had a positive effect on the Learning Persistence. Third, the satisfaction and willingness of learners with prior course experience of K-MOOC learners were high, and there was a significant difference according to the course experience. This study is meaningful in that the effect of actual learning activities was verified for K-MOOC learners. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to conduct a comparative study on the K-MOOC activation plan and the case of using K-MOOC at each university.

  • This paper presents the results of a statistical analysis and its research findings focusing on the learning aspect in the process of international joint ventures (IJVs). The contents of this paper is derived from a sample of 96 field cases based on a proposed conceptual model of effective learning for international construction joint ventures (ICJVs). The paper presents a brief review on the conceptual model with hypotheses and summarized the key results of statistical analysis including factor and multiple regression analysis for the testing of the validity of the proposed conceptual model and its associated research hypotheses. Among other research findings, the research confirms that ICJVs provides an excellent platform of in-action learning for construction organization and suggests that good outcomes in learning could be reaped by a company who has a clear learning intent from the beginning and subsequently take corresponding learning actions during the full process of the joint venture.

효과적인 수업 운영을 위한 디지털 학습 도구 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Use of Digital Learning Tools for Effective Class Operation)

  • Digital transformation is accelerating in all industries due to COVID-19 and rapidly developing ICT technology. In the field of education, teaching methods that combine various IT devices and software technologies are being applied. The education requires a future learning environment using EduTech such as digital learning tools. We perform a case study on the use of digital learning tools for effective class. In this study, digital learning tools were applied to an university class. The class was held in the second semester of 2022 at A university, with 67 students participating. In our case, QuizN, Mentimeter, and Google Forms were applied as digital learning tools. In order to evaluate our case, a survey was conducted using the Google Questionnaire. From the results of the survey evaluation, more than 85% of all survey questions answered that they were satisfied. From it, digital learning tools were shown to be effective in class operation.

Analysis of Online Behavior and Prediction of Learning Performance in Blended Learning Environments

  • A variety of studies to predict students' performance have been conducted since educational data such as web-log files traced from Learning Management System (LMS) are increasingly used to analyze students' learning behaviors. However, it is still challenging to predict students' learning achievement in blended learning environment where online and offline learning are combined. In higher education, diverse cases of blended learning can be formed from simple use of LMS for administrative purposes to full usages of functions in LMS for online distance learning class. As a result, a generalized model to predict students' academic success does not fulfill diverse cases of blended learning. This study compares two blended learning classes with each prediction model. The first blended class which involves online discussion-based learning revealed a linear regression model, which explained 70% of the variance in total score through six variables including total log-in time, log-in frequencies, log-in regularities, visits on boards, visits on repositories, and the number of postings. However, the second case, a lecture-based class providing regular basis online lecture notes in Moodle show weaker results from the same linear regression model mainly due to non-linearity of variables. To investigate the non-linear relations between online activities and total score, RF (Random Forest) was utilized. The results indicate that there are different set of important variables for the two distinctive types of blended learning cases. Results suggest that the prediction models and data-mining technique should be based on the considerations of diverse pedagogical characteristics of blended learning classes.

  • 본 논문에서는 학습 패러다임의 변화에 따른 효과적인 학습을 제공하기 위해 Learning Design (LD) 기반 학습관리시스템에서 전단부 엔진인 LD Publication 엔진을 설계하고 구현하였다. LD Publication 엔진은 LD 기반으로 작성된 학습 콘텐츠 패키지를 분석하고 학습활동을 기술한 정보파일의 구문과 의미를 분석하여 모델화한다. 모델화된 데이터는 학습관리시스템에서 효과적으로 접근 가능한 형태로 단편화하여 데이터베이스에 영속한다. LD 기반 학습관리시스템은 학습 효과와 학습자 편리성을 제공하여 높은 학습 성과를 가져올 수 있도록 도와준다. 그리고 학습 콘텐츠의 재생산, 재사용, 공유를 통한 콘텐츠 개발의 활성화를 도모하고 인프라 확대에 기여할 것이다. 또한, 학습자의 역량, 성향 그리고 학습이력 등을 연계가 가능하도록 설계되어 시스템의 확장이 용이하다.

대기업 안전직 근로자의 직무재창조와 직무열의, 무형식학습, 사회적 지지 및 긍정심리자본의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationship among Job-crafting, Work Engagement, Informal Learning, Social Support and Positive Psychological Capital of Safety Workers in Large Corporations)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship between job crafting and job enthusiasm, informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital, and to investigate the effect of informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital on job crafting through job enthusiasm. A survey was conducted on 451 safety workers at large domestic companies, and the collected data were analyzed for model suitability, influence relations between variables, and mediating effects with AMOS 23.0 using SPSS 23.0. Through research, we found five important results. First, the structural model of job crafting, job enthusiasm, informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital properly explained the empirical data. Second, social support and positive psychological capital had a positive effect on job enthusiasm, but informal learning did not significantly affect job enthusiasm. Third, informal learning and positive psychological capital had a positive effect on job crafting, while social support did not significantly affect job crafting. Fourth, job enthusiasm had a positive effect on job crafting. Finally, job enthusiasm was found to mediate the relationship between social support and positive psychological capital and job crafting. These suggest that continuous environmental efforts and systematic management measures are needed to promote job crafting of safety workers so that informal learning, social support, positive psychological capital, and job enthusiasm can be expressed. Therefore, the necessity of developing various sub-factors of informal learning that can promote job crafting of safety workers was suggested as a follow-up study.

맞춤형 학습을 위한 SCORM 기반 pLMIS 개발 (Development of pLMIS based on SCORM for Personalized Learning)

  • 오늘날 웹 기반 학습 관리 정보시스템은 학습자의 개인 특성에 부응하는 많은 맞춤형 학습 정보시스템들이 개발되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 시스템들은 일방적인 푸쉬(push)방식이거나 혹은 컨텐츠를 재사용 하고 있어 시스템간 상호 운용성 및 유지 보수가 되지 않으며, 서로 이질적인 학습관리 시스템으로 학습관리 정보 체계가 상이하여 통합 관리가 되지 않았다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존 시스템들의 단점을 보안하고 국제표준 SCORM 기반 맞춤형 학습 관리 정보 구현하였다. 시퀀싱한 컨텐츠를 적용하여 강의, 문항풀이를 하며 학습자를 평가하는 시스템과 그 결과를 바탕으로 계속적인 맞춤형 학습 기능을 제공한다.
