This study aims to explore the applicability of the HyFlex Learning Model as a new form of early childhood education in the post-COVID-19 era. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, first, the current challenges of early childhood education and the form of early childhood distance education in Korea were examined. Second, after examining the outline and characteristics of the HyFlex Learning Model(HLM) and the application cases of overseas institutions, in particular, the cases of applying the HLM in overseas early childhood education institutions were reviewed. Third, things to consider when applying the HLM in the field of early childhood education in Korea were derived. As a result, the HLM was investigated to be applicable not only in higher education but also in early childhood education as a model that emphasizes the learner's choice, learner-centered/directed, and activity. In order to apply the HLM to the early childhood education field in Korea, several points to be considered were proposed. Finally, the contribution of this study and further study were suggested.
The lecture is the main method of teaching, and the most common activity of students is 'listening.' Therefore, efficient and positive changes are expected if the researcher analyzes and uses students' listening styles to educate them. In addition, as the learner-centered education is emphasized, the learner's characteristics are becoming more important, and this flow increases the value of the listening styles of the student and that of the learning strategy, which is the student's self-directed learning. Therefore, this study examined whether there are differences in science achievement according to the listening styles and learning strategies by statistical analysis of the data obtained by conducting surveys for students in 5th, 7th, and 10th grades. The results of this study are as follows: First, students' listening styles and learning strategies show significant differences between men and women. Second, students' listening styles and learning strategies show significant differences between grade levels. Third, the level of task-oriented and critical listening types among listening styles produce meaningful differences in science achievement. Fourth, listening style, learning strategy, and science achievement have a significant correlation with each other. Finally, in terms of learning strategy-science achievement, it was shown that basic and complex cognitive strategy had a positive correlation with science achievement.

This study explores how an elementary school homeroom teacher who continued to lecture, can use diversified science teaching methods for learner-centered instruction. Using an auto-ethnographic approach over the course of a year, self-memory data, facebook diaries, class diaries, and interview data of an elementary teacher's day-to-day preparations and practice of elementary science, in the context of a Korean elementary school, were collected. The data was analyzed through cultural historical activity theory, examining how the interplay of key elements (i.e., the subject as a homeroom teacher with instructional expertise, norms, community, division of labor, tools, and goals) was characterized within and across distinct two-activity systems, and how these elements shaped the teacher's teaching methods into either lecture format or diversified teaching. The study revealed that a non-cooperative community, lack of division of labor, and norms that neglect preparation for science class were the elements that perpetuated the lecture format, and that a contradiction between goals and tools occurred in the activity system. However, these elements were able to be transformed into a cooperative community, shared labor, and norms that saved preparation time for both science class and diversified teaching methods, and those changed elements facilitated the teacher in using diversified teaching methods (e.g., experiments, subject-integrated classes, field work), thereby mitigating the contradiction. This study also discusses that diversified teaching methods can be facilitated when dealing with norms, community, and division of labor elements in an elementary school context as well as improving individual teachers' instructional expertise.

Nowadays, the trend of early childhood education has focused on finding educational activities to enhance quality of learning with integrative, learner-centered experience by combining each subject and domain. Pre-service early childhood teacher's music drama activity is a sort of integrated education including literature, instrumental music, play, art and movement that are included in the culture and art for preschoolers to help them understand role and value of the art and directly influence personality and creativity and motive to arouse interest in various learning directly. It's expected to see that development of creative teaching plan for the music drama using piano ensemble could support basic research in integrated educational activity in the teacher training course and also, activate the music drama activity. Research findings and suggestion are as follows. First, the music drama activities are systematically and step-by-step implemented according to the audience according to the cooperative learning and creative plans of pre-service early childhood teachers. Second, if understanding characteristics of casts in the music drama and assigning their roles efficiently, it enhances approach of pre-service early childhood teacher music drama activity and activate it. Third, making music in music drama activities can be composed and arranged to suit the musical literacy and level of pre-service early childhood teacher. Fourth, pre-service early childhood teachers could have integrated experience and evaluation efficiently in the short term to use as reference for the teaching plan and data for the music drama.

Individual studying that compose knowledge and improve efficiency of studying through collection of information by various class strategy which takes advantage of web, and Cooperative learning that can elevate sense of responsibility and solve the problem through communication with another person have been developed actively. But, individuation tutoring materials that is developed present doesn't fit of causing learner's interest, and stimulating curiosity about problem because mostly studying is gone in presentation form. Also, cooperative learning materials are lacking connection with actual course of education, application is difficult in real class spot. So, this research has applied self-directed learning, centered with interested operation activity, aimed at improvement in various thought. Also, we have developed social studies tuition-learning system, purpose to the management is possible with on-line project studying which could improve mind-decision ability and ICT application ability. This system is developed for flexible management could be possible in various class circumstance, and level learning could be done through accomplishment-test and the result could be applied by feedback process.
The purpose of this study was to investigate orientation toward teaching of science teachers had shown in lesson on Law of Definite Composition for middle school students and the factors which influenced its formation. To achieve this, we collected survey materials by recording and analyzing lessons of 8 teachers, interviewing them, and using CoRe questionnaire. From teachers' activities in lessons, we found their orientation toward science teaching, and through analyzing collected materials, drew the factors which influenced the formation of orientation toward science teaching. The result identified two types of orientation toward science teaching: activity-directional and lecture-directional. The former, activity-directional was categorized further as exploration and non-exploration; the latter as interaction-centered and content delivery. The main factors which affected the formation of orientation toward science teaching were reflective thinking through teaching experiences, interaction with colleagues, consideration on education environment, training as a learner, and their own interest and curiosity. Among them, the reflective thinking through teaching experiences was strongest cause, and teacher's interest and curiosity was even limited, also influenced positively. On the other hand, unlikely other factors, consideration on education setting affected negatively to build teacher's teaching orientation. Interaction with colleagues, training for teachers by universities and graduated schools acted on a bit, but had a limit just for mainly developing science content knowledge.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data that can be used for the development of technology textbooks of Nigeria-Korea Model School by analyzing external and internal aspects of Illustration in Nigerian primary school technology textbooks, and 10 textbooks used in Nigeria were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions are as follows. First, the form of the visual data should be diversified into a picture, a cartoon, a diagram, and a diagram from the photograph center, and provide various information closely related to the contents of the technology. Second, it is necessary to increase the size of illustration so as to induce learners to be motivated, and to enhance the effect of editing. Third, currently, partial enlargement data is rarely used, but visual material should be partially enlarged in order to express a detail part of product. Fourth, diversity of editing should be done by using circular or background omission rather than using only rectangle uniformly in visual material. Fifth, in terms of gender equality, it is necessary to deviate from male-centric visual materials and edit them with consideration for women. Sixth, in order to provide learner-centered textbooks, the role of visual materials should be extended to 'inducement of motivation', 'activity guidance', and 'activity result' in addition to 'providing data'. Finally, in terms of the function of visuals, the quality of textbooks should be upgraded by utilizing auxiliary and decorative functions in addition to essential functions.
The purpose of this study is to find the meaning of the good class, and based on this, situation of environmental education in high school is researched. Through those above processes, desirable direction of the environment class is suggested. For this study, we are trying to reflect the characteristics of environmental education on the general good classes, and from this, the meaning of good environment class is known. Moreover, for this study, we choose environment classes from four high schools leading by environment major teacher. From those four classes, we analyzed these things: educational situation of environment class, teachers' interviews. All of these are for analyzing environment class with the view of good environmental class. A well-formed environment class manifests the features of environment education in all aspects of teaching and learning process, including learning objectives, learning materials, procedures, and evaluations. Furthermore, it should be 'student-centered' class in which active interaction among the learners or between the instructor and the students is considered most important. Students are not the passive receiver, but rather, they actively participate in the learning process by reorganizing the knowledge as they experience and become independent learners who are actively involved in the problem-solving process. In this way, we can generate a great deal of students' interest and motivation, which in turn makes the class interesting, enjoyable, full of energy and still effective. If there is the class reflecting the factors of environmental education above good class' ways, it will be the good environment class. In the current situation of environment class, the rate of student's class participation and study activity was low. This tendency is not too different between four groups except students' support to teachers. This result means that learners' will to participate in their classes actively is not high. Moreover, about 46.3% of students did not understand some parts of new knowledge and about the parts, students' solution was 'does nothing' and the rate was also so high. Teachers tried to make their class with considering students' interest, and focusing their learner's real life. However, learners are all general education high school students, so teachers have aversion about making their students heavy activities.

The purpose of this study is to find out how those taking early childhood preservice teachers experience their learning through learner-centered education and the meaning given by such experiences to grasp their values. Especially, to look into experiences of learning the project approach theory studied and directly experienced, which is one of the early childhood educational approach methods, data on participatory observation, personal interviews, personal reflective journals, activity reports and ect. were collected and analyzed by the current writer, who fully participated in the class. The meaning of early childhood preservice teacher'experiences in the project approach was analyzed from the two aspects of 'my' learning activities and 'teacher's teaching activities. In the aspect of 'my' learning activities, they got indulged through purposeful practices in the process of tackling problems that originated from personal interest and wanted to share the joy of learning they'd had with others. Aware of themselves as doers of behavior and thinking, they were found to be able to focus an 'my' own learning activities based on these learning experiences of theirs. In the aspect of 'teacher's teaching activities, project theories and practices done at the same time helped them internalize the project and they learned possible changes ign the project by experiencing actual cases. To sum up, the project approach has its meaning in that it not only helps teachers learn theoretical knowledge but also have reflective thinking through their experiences as doers of learning and form practical knowledge. Accordingly, it indicates th need for intensive discussion on the project approach as a way to educate pre-teachers or current ones.
In this study, we applied the flipped-classroom to the general chemistry experiment lecture of the domestic university with strong teacher-led, and explored the effects and possibilities of the course. For this purpose, 30 students who were enrolled in the Science Education Department of the College of Education in the metropolitan area were randomly assigned to two groups, namely, the flipped-classroom group and the traditional class group. Then, we developed a general chemistry experiment lessons based on the flipped-classroom along with visual materials and we applied the lessons for 15 weeks. After all the classes, we conducted a survey to see the students' perception of the general chemistry experiment lecture by flipped classroom. As a result of analysis, the students of the flipped-classroom group were more positive than the students of the traditional class group in terms of the usefulness of the class activity, the importance of each activity element for the successful learning, the learning level, and the intention for another lesson. As a result of analyzing students' perceptions in terms of general chemical experiment activities such as conducting experiments or writing reports and understanding the contents of experiments, the average score of the flippedclassroom group was higher than the traditional class group, and the main cause of this result was the video material provided by prior learning activities. In addition, as a result of analyzing students' perceptions in terms of interactions and self-directed learning in class, the average score of the flipped-classroom group was generally higher than the traditional class group. In particular, students' interactions and self-directed learning were statistically significant differences between the two groups. And the students' perception of video material was very positive, and it was analyzed that the video that the instructor directly explained experiment theory and method was the most favorite videos of students. We discussed educational implications of these findings.
