The purpose of this study is to investigate learner-learner dialogue during speaking tasks. In the Korean language classroom, conversation between learners is an important activity as speaking practice. However, learner dialogue is also a tool to enable learners to collaboratively conduct various cognitive activities in the classroom. In previous research, it was unfolded that through learner-learner dialogue, learners can solve second-language related problems and set a goal to carry out tasks. Therefore, this study analyzed learner-learner dialogue to investigate what kinds of cognitive activities are activated during the role-play task. As a result, the learners collaboratively generated and monitored language and content for role play. Also, in order to accomplish tasks more successfully, learners shared the same understanding about the goal of the task, and tried to manage the task procedure. Through learner-learner dialogue, learners can participate in cognitive activities such as content, language construction, and task management voluntarily without the help from teachers. This means that learner-learner dialogue can be an activity to support language learning tasks. Also, it can make learners actively involved in learning and by sharing resources with each other. It is also important that learners can experience language use that participates in real-world communication activities, such as learning in the classroom and collaborating with peer learners. This study is an exploratory study for a basic understanding of learner's conversation as a cognitive activity, and the scope of the study is limited to clarifying contents of learner-learner dialogue as a cognitive activity in speaking tasks. Based on the findings of this study, future research should be conducted on the function of learner-learner dialogue as a cognitive activity in Korean language learning and its role in the classroom of Korean language education.
Purpose: This study aims to identify the most important quality construct among system quality, information quality, and service quality, which are integrated as the second-order construct; perceived quality, and to investigate the relationship between perceived quality, learner satisfaction, learner enjoyment, switching cost, and learner loyalty. Method: Data were collected from learners who had taken e-learning course, and the analysis was conducted in two phases. The first phase described demographic characteristics using SPSS23.0; the second phase involved the second order CFA of perceived quality and the analysis of measurement model and structural model through AMOS 23.0. Results: (1) The explanatory power of system quality, information quality, and service quality appears to be almost equal; (2) Perceived quality positively influences only both learner satisfaction and switching cost; (3) Only learner satisfaction positively influences learner loyalty and switching cost negatively influences learner loyalty. Conclusion: Learner enjoyment does not play an important role in this study, which could be extrapolated in regard to the characteristics of sample. The respondents are over high school students, who emphasize on the acquisition of knowledge rather than enjoyment. Additionally, the result implies that respondents show low loyalty in the high switching cost.
Learners are often posited in a paradoxical situation where they are not fully involved in decision making processes on how to learn, in designing their tools. Cognitive artifacts in e-learning are supposed to effectively support learner-centered e-learning. The purpose of the study is to analyze cases of cognitive artifacts and to inquire those design principles for facilitating the learner-centered e-learning. Four research questions are suggested: First, it will be analyzed the characteristics of learners with respect to design of cognitive artifacts for supporting the learner-centered e-learning. Second, characteristics of four cases to design cognitive artifacts in learner-centered e-learning environment are analyzed. Third, it will be suggested the appropriate design principles of cognitive artifacts to facilitating learner-centered learning in e-learning environment. Four cases of cognitive artifacts design in learner-centered e-learning was identified as follows: Wiki software as cognitive artifacts in computer-supported collaborative learning; 'Play Around Network (PAN)' as cognitive artifact to monitor learning activities in knowledge community; Knowledge Forum System (KFS) as a cognitive artifact in knowledge building; cognitive artifacts in Courses-as-seeds applied meta-design. Five design principles are concluded as follows: Promoting externalization of cognitive artifacts to private media; Helping learners to initiate their learning processes; Encouraging learners to make connections with other learners' knowledge building and their cognitive artifacts; Promoting monitoring of participants' contributions in collaborative knowledge building; Supporting learners to design their cognitive artifacts.
In knowledge based society, lifelong learning is increasing in order to meet educational needs of adult learners. Credit Bank system which is credited by individual experience, learning and qualifications are also emphasized for continuing learning participation. However, in spite of the importance of concern in the Credit Bank System, adult learners expectation and value are not high. The purpose of this study is to analyze participation valence and learning flow of adult learner in the Credit Bank System. The result of this study is summarized as follows: first, adult learners participated in the Credit Bank System to get new knowledge and skill based on internal and external motivation and requirement not involved with individual degree. Second, adult learners participating in the Credit Bank System are experiencing learning flow realizing that behavior of participation is compensated, adult learners are concentrating and feeling with satisfaction and pleasure to study. Third, participation in the Credit Bank System based on adult learner's own right learning requirement have been analyzed as it has a positive effect to the learning flow and have indicated that adult learners having high level of valence experience, recognition immersion, behavioral devotion, and egoistic immersion. Based on the conclusion, further studies are suggested.
There are selected principles of learning which need adequate emphasis in the mathematics curriculum. These include: 1. Pupils perceiving purpose in learning. 2. Learners being involved in the solving of problems. 3. Meaningful learning experiences being inherent in the mathematics curriculum. 4. Provision being made to guide each learner in achieving optimal gains in ongoing study.

Mathematics is constructed by many signs, and learning mathematics involves the understanding and uses of them. This study reflects mathematical signs and their meanings, and considers how they can be introduced in learning. For these, we first investigated epistemological positions as Piaget, Vygotsky, anthropology, and interactionism. And we investigated semiotic models that Saussure and Peirce built each. Among these we adopted Peirce' triadic model that is consisted of interpretant, object (referent), and represen tamen(sign). In mathematic learning process, representations are transformed by translations and meanings are growed to the representation of another sign. And the meaning of sign grows by learner's interpretation. In terms of theoretical grounds, we settled that the understanding of mathematical signs involved the understanding of their representations and their meanings. On the foundation of above contents, we searched how we introduced signs to students and there were methods that approached to students representationally or inquiringly.
