  • The design, modeling and measurement of RF switch module for GSM applications is presented in this paper. RF switch module is constructed using a LTCC multi-layer switching circuit and integrated low pass filter. Insertion and return loss of the low pass filter were designed less than 0.3 dB and better than 12.7 dB at 900 MHz. The RF switch module contained 10 embedded passives and 3 surface mount components integrated on $4.6{\times}4.8{\times}1.2$ mm, 6-layer multi-layer integrated circuit. The insertion loss of switch module was measured at 900 MHz was 11 dB.

  • The design, simulation, modeling and measurement of a RF switch module for GSM applications were presented in this paper. switch module were simulated by ADS and constructed using a LTCC multi-layer switching circuit and integrated low pass filter, designed to operate in the GSM band. Insertion and return losses at 900 MHz of the low pass filters were designed to lower than 0.3 dB and higher than 12.7 dB respectively. The switch module constructed, contained 10 embedded passives and 3 surface mounted components integrated on $4.6{\times}4.8{\times}1.2$ m volume, 6-layer integrated circuit. The insertion loss of switch module at m MHz were around 11 dB.

RF switch module is constructed using a Rx/Tx switching circuit and integrated low pass filter. The low pass filter function was designed to operate in th GSM band. Insertion and return loss of the low pass filter were designed less than 0.3 dB and better than 12.7 dB at 900 MHz.   • This paper focuses on the design for Rx/Tx switch module of GSM(global standard mobile) band, characterization of a miniature, low power and dual-band implementation of the front-end switch module with low-pass filer And the effort to make agreement between the simulated design and the measured data for these solutions takes the place through accumulated design and manufacturing data library. We present the design, modeling and measurement of switch module integrating GSM Rx/Tx switching circuit and LPF(low pass filter) on a LTCC(low temperature co-fired ceramic) substrate. For GSM application, insertion and return loss of the low pass filter designed was less than 0.3 dB which was less than 12.7 dB at 900 MHz. The LTCC switch module contained 10 embedded passives and 3 surface mount components integrated on 4.6$\times$4.8$\times$1.2 mm, 6-layer multi-layer integrated circuit. The insertion loss of switch module measured at 900 MHz was 11 dB. In both of the design approach yielded excellent agreement between measured and simulated results.

  • A multi-branch thermo-optic switch has a problem that driving powers in the switching states are different from each other; the power consumption for the inner output port is more than twice as large as that form the outer output port. In this pater, to solve this problem unequal width heaters and the waveguide structure with a thin overcladding layer are proposed in a four-branch thermo-optic switch. The proposed structure is fabricated with the polymer materials with high index difference, Teflon and polyimides. The fabricated device was measured at the wavelength of 1550 nm. The measured characteristics exhibit the smaller difference in the power consumption between the switching states and the driving power les than the previous four-branch thermo-optic switch with equal width heaters. As for the device performance, the crosstalk is better than - 16 dB at about 310 ~ 390 mW, the insertion loss is 4.7 dB, and the switching time is less than 1 ms.

  • We have observed the optical bistabilities at $5145{\AA}$ in nonlinear etalons filled with NOA8l optical adhesive which is cured with UV light under the temperature gradient of $7^{\circ}C/mm$ on the NOA81 layer surface. The critical switch-on irradiance and switch-on time are $17\;KW/cm^2$ and $350{\mu}sec$. respectively. The switching contrast of up to 8 observed in NOA81 etalons is higher than that of ZnS or ZnSe interference filter, and the thermo-optic coefficient (dn/ndT) of NOA81 is measured to be at least $-3.8{\times}10^{-4}/^{\circ}C$ which is larger in magnitude than that of ZnS or ZnSe.

  • It is a study LVMPD to solve the fairness problem of inter-session shared bandwidth. Whenever congestion occurs in one session, the highest layer is dropped. Also the highest layer of other sessions in non-congestion is dropped by iner-session fairness. While there is spare bandwidth, receivers of session in non-congestion can't use bandwidth efficiently. In this paper, we proposed a distribution method to use efficiently spare bandwidth that occurred by inter-session fairness. In our method, we considered the highest layer those receivers receiving and the higher layer those receivers requesting. The sender assigns the packet-deleting priority to packets when congestion occurs in receivers, and sets layer add/drop flag when receivers of session in non-congestion request the higher layer. The switch deletes packets with packet-deleting priority and transfers packets with layer add/drop flag for session in non-congestion. Therefore receivers of session in non-congestion can add the higher layer. In experimental results, it was known that proposed algorithm use the inter-session shared bandwidth more effectively compared with already known method.

  • The WDSS improves defensive capacity against web application layer DDoS attack by using web cache server and L7 switch which are added on the DDoS shelter system. When web DDoS attack occurs, security agents divert traffic from backbone network to sub-network of the WDSS and then DDoS protection device and L7 switch block abnormal packets. In the meantime, web cache server responds only to requests of normal clients and maintains stable web service. In this way, the WDSS can counteract the web DDoS attack which generates small traffic and depletes server-client session resource. Furthermore, the WDSS does not require IP tunneling because it is not necessary to retransfer the normal requests to original web server. In this paper, we validate operation of the WDSS and verify defensive capability against web application layer DDoS attacks. In order to do this, we built the WDSS on backbone network of an ISP. And we performed web DDoS tests by using a testing system that consists of zombie PCs. The tests were performed by three types and various amounts of web DDoS attacks. Test results suggest that the WDSS can detect small traffic of the web DDoS attacks which do not have repeat flow whereas the formal DDoS shelter system cannot.

  • In this paper, we focus on a novel Internet architecture, based on the urbanization of virtual machines. In this approach, virtual networks are built linking specific virtual elements (router, switch, firewall, box, access point, etc.). A virtual network represents a network with an independent protocol stack that shares resources from the underlying network infrastructure. Virtualization divides a real computational environment into virtual computational environments that are isolated from each other, and interact with the upper computational layer, as would be expected from a real, non-virtualized environment. Metamorphic networks enhance several concepts related to future networks, and mainly the urbanization of virtual machines. We present this new paradigm, and the methodology, based on the worldwide metamorphic network platform "M-Net". The metamorphic approach could solve many complex problems, especially related to Cloud computing services.

  • Currently, the commercialization of the $5^{th}$ Generation (5G) service is becoming more prevalent in domestic communication network technology. This has reduced communication delay time and enabled large-capacity data transmission and video streaming services in real-time. In order to keep pace with these developments, K-water has introduced a smart process control system in water purification plants to monitor the status of the water purification process. However, since wireless networks are based on the public Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, communication delay time remains high, and high-resolution video services are limited. This is because communication networks still have a closed structure due to expense and security issues. Therefore, with 5G in its current form, it is very difficult to accommodate future services without improving the infrastructure of its communication networks. In recognition of these problems, this study implemented the authentication and management function of wireless networks on a wired network management system in the K-water Bansong water purification plant. The results confirmed that wired Local Area Network (LAN) services give a higher security performance than an expensive commercial wireless LAN system. This was achieved by using an Internet Protocol (IP) address management system of wired networks and the packet filtering function of the Layer2 (L2) switch. This study also confirmed that it is possible to create a wireless LAN service that is 3.7 times faster than the existing LTE communication network.
