  • The most Important thing in Sensor Network Design is a Energy Efficiency. Limited sources of Sensor Mote tan occur merging of Protocol. In this paper, we proposed Cross Layer Protocol for Energy Efficienty. The proposed protocol can increase the network life time using multi hop transmission. sensor network should use multi hop communication and small radius because radio in wireless communication is the most spendable thing in sensor network.

국소교란에 의한 난류 경계층 유동의 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation of Locally-Forced Turbulent Boundary Layer)

  • An unsteady numerical simulation was performed to analyze flow structures behind a local suction/blowing in a flat-plate turbulent boundary layer. The local forcing was given to the boundary layer flow by means of sinusoidally oscillating jet. A version of the unsteady $\kappa$-$\xi$-f(sub)u model (Rhee and Sung 2000) was employed. The Reynolds number based on the momentum thickness was about Re(sub)$\theta$=1700. The forcing frequency was varied in the range 0.011$\leq$f(sup)+$\leq$0.044 with a fixed forcing amplitude A(sub)o=0.4. The predicted results were compared and validated with the experimental data. It was shown that the unsteady locally-forced boundary layer flow is predicted well by the $\kappa$-$\xi$-f(sub)u model. The effect of the pitch angle of local forcing on the reduction of skin friction was also examined.

Concave Surface Boundary Layer Flows in the Presence of Streamwise Vortices

  • Concave surface boundary-layer flows are subjected to centrifugal instability which results in the formation of streamwise counter-rotating vortices. Such boundary layer flows have been experimentally investigated on concave surfaces of 1 m and 2 m radius of curvature. In the experiments, to obtain uniform vortex wavelengths, thin perturbation wires placed upstream and perpendicular to the concave surface leading edge, were used to pre-set the wavelengths. Velocity contours were obtained from hot-wire anemometer velocity measurements. The most amplified vortex wavelengths can be pre-set by the spanwise spacing of the thin wires and the free-stream velocity. The velocity contours on the cross-sectional planes at several streamwise locations show the growth and breakdown of the vortices. Three different vortex growth regions can be identified. The occurrence of a secondary instability mode is also shown as mushroom-like structures as a consequence of the non-linear growth of the streamwise vortices. Wall shear stress measurements on concave surface of 1 m radius of curvature reveal that the spanwise-averaged wall shear stress increases well beyond the flat plate boundary layer values. By pre-setting much larger or much smaller vortex wavelength than the most amplified one, the splitting or merging of the streamwise vortices will respectively occur.

한반도에서 발생하였던 집중호우 시 적외 및 수증기 영상의 특성 (Characteristics of Infrared and Water Vapor Imagery for the Heavy Rainfall Occurred in the Korean Peninsula)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 발생한 집중호우 사례들 중 예보가 어려워 피해가 컸던 두 사례(2010년 9월 21일, 2011년 8월 9일)에 대해 적외영상과 수증기영상의 시 공간적인 변화 특성을 분석하였다. 두 사례에서 한반도지역에 집중호우를 유발한 대류 세포들은 적외영상에서 하층운이 광범위하게 분포하고 수증기 영상에서는 명역과 암역의 경계(boundary)에서 생성되는 특징을 보였다. 또한 대류 세포들의 이동속도 차에 의한 총 5번의 병합과정 중 4번의 병합과정에서 대류 세포들의 병합 후 대류 세포는 더욱 발달되었으며 강수 강도도 급격하게 강화되었다. 대류시스템에서의 강우강도 변화는 휘도온도의 평균보다 최소 휘도온도의 시간적 변화와 밀접하게 관련된 것으로 판단되며 대류 세포들의 병합도 집중호우의 강도 변화에 영향을 주는 주요 인자로 생각된다. 대류 세포들의 병합은 영상동화를 통해 어느 정도 예측이 가능하지만 대류 세포의 탐지는 적외 및 수증기 영상 모두에서 일정 강도 이상 발달한 상태에서만 탐지가 가능하였다.

UGV의 운용적합성 평가를 위한 운용 시험 시나리오 연구 (Study on the Operational Test Scenarios for Assessment of Unmanned Ground Vehicle's Operation Suitability)

  • This paper develops scenarios to evaluate the safety performance of Unmanned Ground Vehicle on military circumstances. The scenarios were created using Pegasus Project 6-layer format. These scenarios consist of straight road, curved road, merging road and crossroad. We adapt these scenarios to unpaved road. The characteristics of unpaved roads were divided into roughness, friction coefficient and road frequency. This adaption is validated via computer simulation. We observe the scan lines of vehicle become tangled of the straight road that make the cognitive abilities of the vehicle low and the lane-keeping is unable when vehicles entering curved off-roads over 40 km/h. The developed scenarios will contribute to enhancing stability from the perspective of introducing autonomous driving technology to Korean military.

표면 형상 변화에 따른 난류경계층 유동장 분석 (Transition of Turbulent Boundary Layer with a Step Change from Smooth to Rough Surface)

  • Direct numerical simulation (DNS) dataset of a turbulent boundary layer (TBL) with a step change from smooth to rough surface is analyzed to examine spatially developing flow characteristics. The roughness elements are periodically arranged two-dimensional (2-D) spanwise rods with a streamwise pitch of ${\lambda}=8k$ ($=12{\theta}_{in}$), and the roughness height is $k=15{\theta}_{in}$, where ${\theta}_{in}$ is the inlet momentum thickness. The step change is introduced $80{\theta}_{in}$ downstream from the inlet. For the first time, full images from the DNS data with the step change from the smooth to rough walls is present to get some idea of the geometry of turbulent coherent structures over rough wall, especially focusing on their existence and partial dynamics over the rough wall. The results show predominance of hairpin vortices over the rough wall and their spanwise scale growth mechanism by merging.

주기적 후류 내의 익형 위 천이경계층에 관한 실험적 연구(II) -위상평균된 유동특성- (Experimental Study of Boundary Layer Transition on an Airfoil Induced by Periodically Passing Wake (II) -A Phase-Averaged Characteristic-)

  • This paper describes the phenomena of wake-induced transition of the boundary layers on a NACA0012 airfoil using measured phase-averaged data. Especially, the phase-averaged wall shear stresses are reasonably evaluated using the principle of Computational Preston Tube Method. Due to the passing wake, the turbulent patch is generated in the laminar boundary layer on the airfoil and the boundary layer becomes temporarily transitional. The patches propagate downstream with less speed than free-stream velocity and merge with each other at further down stream station, and the boundary layer becomes more transitional. The generation of turbulent patch at the leading edge of the airfoil mainly depends on velocity defects and turbulent intensity profiles of passing wakes. However, the growth and merging of turbulent patches depend on local streamwise pressure gradients as well as characteristics of turbulent patches. In this transition process, the present experimental data show very similar features to the previous numerical and experimental studies. It is confirmed that the two phase-averaged mean velocity dips appear in the outer region of transitional boundary layer for each passing cycle. Relatively high values of the phase-averaged turbulent fluctuations in the outer region indicate the possibility that breakdown occurs in the outer layer not near the wall.

수치지도 Ver 2.0을 이용한 일반화 처리공정 개발 (The Development of Generalization Processing Using Digital Map Ver 2.0)

  • 본 연구는 l/5,000 수치지도 Ver 2.0을 이용하여 1/25,000 수치지도를 제작하기 위한 일반화처리공정을 개발하였다. 공간 및 속성정보를 포함하고 있는 수치지도 Ver 2.0은 기존의 수치지도 보다 많은 정보량을 포함하고 있기때문에 1/25,000 지청지물코드에 포함되지 않는 Layer를 삭제하고, 자료처리를 8대 지형·지물별로 분류하여 각각에 대해 처리한 후, merge 하는 과정으로 이루어지도록 적합한 작업공정을 도출하였다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 개발한 일반화 작업공정을 이용하므로서 향후 최적 자동일반화시스템을 개발할 수 있을 것이고, 소축척 수치지도 및 주제도 제작에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Flows over Concave Surfaces: Development of Pre-set Wavelength Görtler Vortices

  • The development of pre-set wavelength G$\ddot{o}$rtler vortices are studied in the boundary-layer flows on concave surfaces of 1.0 and 2.0 m radius of curvature. The wavelengths of the vortices were pre-set by thin wires of 0.2 mm diameter placed 10 mm upstream and perpendicular to the concave surface leading edge. Velocity contours were obtained from velocity measurements using a single hot-wire anemometer probe. The most amplified or dominant wavelength is found to be 15 mm for free-stream velocity of 2.1 m/s and 3.0 m/s on the concave surface of R = 1 m and 2 m, respectively. The velocity contours in the cross-sectional planes at several streamwise locations show the growth and breakdown of the vortices. Three different regions can be identified based on the growth rate of the vortices. The occurrence of a secondary instability mode is also shown in the form of mushroom-like structures as a consequence of the non-linear growth of the G$\ddot{o}$rtler vortices. By pre-setting the vortex wavelength to be much larger and much smaller than the most amplified one, the splitting and merging of G$\ddot{o}$rtler vortices can be respectively observed.

PTAS를 이용한 대형 스타이너 트리의 효과적인 구성 (Efficient Construction of Large Scale Steiner Tree using Polynomial-Time Approximation Scheme)

  • 스타이너 포인트들을 추가하여 모든 입력 노드들을 최단 길이로 연결하는 스타이너 최소 트리는 최소 신장 트리에 비해 전체 길이는 짧으나, 그것을 생성하는 문제는 NP-Complete 영역에 속한다. 이 문제를 위한 휴리스틱들은, 입력 노드의 수가 매우 큰 경우에는 많은 시간과 계산을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 많은 입력 노드에 대해, 최하위 계층에서 포탈을 이용한 모든 가능한 단위 스타이너 트리들을 생성하고 각 상위 계층에서 이들을 계층별 병합 처리하여 최상위 계층에서 최소 비용의 트리를 선택하는 효과적인 PTAS 기법을 제안한다. 16,000개의 입력 노드와 최하위 계층에서 16개의 단위 영역으로 설계된 실험에서 생성된 PTAS 스타이너 트리는, pure 스타이너 트리의 길이에 비해 길이가 0.24% 증가되었으나, 생성 시간은 직렬 처리는 85.4%, 병렬처리는 98.9% 개선되었다. 따라서 제안하는 PTAS 스타이너 트리 생성 기법은 많은 입력 노드들에 대해 근사 스타이너 트리를 신속히 생성하는 응용에 잘 적용될 수 있을 것이다.
