본 논문에서는 그동안 영어 자동 평가에서 다루지 않은 문제와 답안의 적합성에 대한 평가를 시도한다. 답안이 주어진 문제에 적합한지를 평가하기 위해 문제에서 내용어를 중심으로 핵심어를 추출하며, 이렇게 추출한 핵심어와 각 답안의 적합성을 코사인 상관계수를 이용하여 구해본다. 한 문제에서 추출 가능한 핵심어가 매우 한정되어 있으므로 추가적으로 워드넷의 관련어나 예시 답안을 활용하여 확장한 핵심어 목록으로 실험을 하였으며, 실험 결과를 통해 핵심어를 이용한 답안과 문제의 적합성 평가가 가능함을 보였다.

최근 데이터의 형태는 점점 다양화되고 증가하고 있기 때문에 데이터의 체계적 분류 및 관리의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 데이터에 대한 품질 평가는 중요한 요소가 된다. 최근 데이터는 기존의 정형화된 데이터보다 비정형 데이터가 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 데이터 품질 평가는 정형 데이터에 편중되어 왔다. 따라서 다양한 형태와 의미를 가지고 있는 비정형 데이터는 기존의 평가 기술로는 품질을 측정하기 어렵다. 이와 같은 문제로 본 논문은 텍스트기반의 비정형 데이터에 적용 가능한 영역별 평가 지표를 구축하고, 신문기사와 커뮤니티(질의응답)데이터를 사용하여 각 요소별 품질을 측정하여 그 결과에 대해서 고찰하였다.

An automatic pronunciation correction system provides users with correction guidelines for each pronunciation error. For this purpose, we develop a speech recognition system which automatically classifies pronunciation errors when Koreans speak a foreign language. In this paper, we propose a machine scoring method for automatic assessment of pronunciation quality by the speech recognizer. Scores obtained from an expert human listener are used as the reference to evaluate the different machine scores and to provide targets when training some of algorithms. We use a log-likelihood score and a normalized log-likelihood score as machine scoring methods. Experimental results show that the normalized log-likelihood score had higher correlation with human scores than that obtained using the log-likelihood score.

Pronunciation teaching is once again coming into the foreground of ELT. Japan is, however, lagging far behind many countries in the development of pronunciation curricula and in the actual speech performance of the Japanese learners of English. The reasons for this can be found in the prevalence of communicative methodologies unfavorable for pronunciation teaching, in the lack of trained professionals, and in the large numbers of students in Japanese foreign language classes. This paper offers a way to promote foreign language pronunciation teaching in Japan and other countries by means of employing computer and internet facilities. The paper outlines the major directions of using modem speech technologies in pronunciation classes, like EVF (electronic visual feedback) training at segmental and prosodic levels; automated error detection, testing, grading and fluency assessment. The author discusses the applicability of some specific software packages (CSLU, SUGIspeech, Multispeech, Wavesurfer, etc.) for the needs of pronunciation teaching. Finally, the author talks about the globalization of pronunciation education via internet resources, such as computer corpora and speech and pronunciation training related web pages.

현대 도시의 상수도 업무를 효율화, 고도화하기 위해서는 적절한 상수도정보체계의 운용이 필요하다. 이는 궁극적으로 도시종합정보체계의 부분이 되야 한다. 이를 수행하기 위해, 서울시 강남지역을 사례로 한국의 상수도 업무를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로, 벡테 GIS의 macro-programming language를 이용하여, 한국토지행정업무의 기본인 지번을 기초로 도시상수도정보체계를 구축하여, 사례지역에 적용 후, 한국에서의 도시상수도정보체계가 효율적으로 운용되기 위한 활용방안, 제도적, 기술적 문제점 등을 논의하였다.

The Korean version of the Child Development Inventory (K-CDI) is a developmental screening test for children functioning in the one-six year range. Based on parent-report, the inventory assesses child developmental functioning in the areas of social, self-help, gross motor, fine motor, expressive language, language comprehension, letter and number skills, general development, and various symptoms and behavior problems. Participants were recruited from childcare centers and private groups and finally 1,143 children and their mothers from 4 locations nationwide participated in this study. Through analysis of item response rate of 270 items in 9 areas, new norm was formed. Reliability determined by internal consistency were relatively high (Cronbach ${\alpha}=.95$). Intercorrelations among sub-scales (range: .49-.96) indicated the construct validity, and the correlation between K-CDI and other screening tests supported the concurrent validity.

Cleft lip and palate is a congenital deformity which needs a professional and consistent management from the birth and along with the physical growth of patients. The patients with cleft lip and palate can have general speech problems with resonance disorders, voice disorders and articulation disorders after the successful primary surgical management and the physical growth. Speech problems of Cleft lip and palate are characterized hypernasality, nasal air emission, increased nasal air flow, and aberrant speech marks which decrease intelligibility. These speech problems of cleft lip and palate can be treated with the secondary surgical procedure, the application of temporary prosthesis and the effective and well-timed speech therapy. The speech and language problems of cleft lip and palate, the general procedures and schedules of the speech assessment and therapy based on the multidisciplinary approach are introduced for the patients with cleft lip and palate, their family and the other members of the cleft palate treatment team.

본 논문에서는 뇌손상으로 인하여 난독증을 보이는 환자를 대상으로 시각적 단어 재인과정에 대한 평가와 기능적 자기공명영상기법을 통한 언어처리과정의 대뇌활성 양상을 살펴봄으로써 난독증의 특성을 알아보고자 한다. 인지신경심리학적 언어행동평가를 통해 환자 JYM는 자소-음소 변환(grapheme-phoneme conversion)경로와 직접 경로(direct route) 모두가 손상된 심층성 난독증(deep dyslexia)으로 보이며. 기능적 자기공명영상촬영 결과 언어처리과정에서 특정한 언어관련영역보다 등외측전전두영역과 시각피질의 활성이 증가되는 양상을 나타냈다.

In this study, 197 4- to 6- year-old Korean children wereindividually tested with Concepts about Print(CAP Clay, 2000), the Picture Vocabulary Test(Kim, Jang, Lim & Bak, 1996), Korean-Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence : Verbal Test (K-WPPSI), and the Basic Academy Skills Assessment : Reading(Kim, 2000). Data were analyzed by Pearson-correlation, analysis of variance, and factor analysis. There were significant differences of CAP mean scores by age. Within the subcategories of CAP, Book Orientation Concepts and Print-convention were acquired earlier than other subcategories, followed by Print-direction, Print-order and Advanced Print Concepts in that order. The scores of CAP were positively correlated with the Picture Vocabulary Test, the K-WPPSI verbal test and the reading test.

영어 논술 자동 평가 시스템은 수험자가 쓴 에세이에 대하여 전문 평가자가 직접 읽고 평가하는 방식에서 벗어나 웹상에서 자동으로 평가 받을 수 있는 실시간 시스템이다. 하지만 비영어권 수험자에게는 논리력 혹은 작문 능력보다 그것을 영어로 표현하는 유창성에서 더 큰 문제가 있을 수 있는데 기존 연구에서는 이런 측면에 대한 평가가 부족하였다. 본 연구에서는 보다 정확한 비영어권 수험자의 영어 논술 평가를 위해 어휘력, 문장 구조의 다양성, 문장의 혼잡도를 평가하여 언어 유창성에 집중된 기계학습 방법의 추가적인 자질을 제안한다. 실험 결과 전문 평가자의 점수와 1) 상관관계 2) 정확도 측면에서 제안하는 방법은 기존의 방법에 비해 더 나은 성능을 보였다.
